Shower Doors

Shower Doors cover the glass enclosures that close off an alcove shower or tub: frameless and semi frameless hinged doors, sliding bypass doors and framed sliding doors for standard bathroom openings. There are more than 60 shower doors here, and most fall between about $400 and $950.
How to choose a shower door
Measure the opening carefully
Measure the width of the finished opening at the top, middle and bottom, from wall to wall over the curb or tub edge, and use the smallest number. Walls are rarely perfectly plumb, so look for a door whose adjustable width range covers all three readings. Common sizes include 48 and 60 inch widths, with heights from about 72 to 79 inches. Measure height from the top of the curb or tub ledge, and check that the door clears any ceiling slope or showerhead arm.
Hinged or sliding
Hinged doors swing outward, so you need clear floor space in front of the shower, roughly equal to the door width, with no toilet, vanity or towel bar in the way. They give a wide, open entry and a clean look. Sliding doors work inside the opening, making them a strong fit for tight bathrooms and tub surrounds, though the entry is narrower because the panels overlap.
Framed, semi frameless or frameless
Frameless doors use thick tempered glass, often 3/8 inch, with minimal hardware and a modern look, and they are easier to wipe down. Semi frameless designs add a header or partial frame for extra rigidity at a lower price. Framed doors use thinner glass held in a metal frame, which helps channel water and suits budget projects. Pick a hardware finish, such as chrome, brushed nickel or matte black, that matches your faucet and showerhead.
Plan for installation and upkeep
Doors anchor into wall studs or solid backing, so confirm what is behind the tile. The curb or tub edge should slope slightly toward the drain. Glass with a protective coating sheds water and resists spotting; a daily squeegee keeps any glass clear and reduces hard water buildup on tracks and seals. Replace worn sweeps and seals when you see leaks at the bottom edge.
Main product types
The range includes frameless hinged alcove doors, frameless and framed sliding doors, and semi frameless hinged models in polished chrome, brushed nickel and other finishes. Brands include ANZZI and Vanity Art.
