Garden & Patio

Garden & Patio is where you will find the furniture and structures for outdoor rooms: deep seating sofas and sectionals, outdoor dining sets, gazebos, outdoor kitchen islands with grills and griddles, and garden accents. There are more than 500 products here, and most fall between about $275 and $3,100.
How to choose garden and patio furniture
Lay out the space first
Measure your patio, deck or lawn area and sketch it to scale. A dining table for four needs about a 10 by 10 foot zone once chairs are pulled out; a table for six to eight needs closer to 12 by 14 feet. For lounge groupings, leave about 30 inches of walkway around the furniture and 14 to 18 inches between seats and the coffee table. For a gazebo, measure the full roof overhang, not only the post footprint, and check whether it will anchor to concrete, a deck or soil.
Choose frame materials that suit your weather
Aluminum is light, rust resistant and easy to move. Cast aluminum is heavier and stays put in wind. Steel is strong and affordable but needs a good powder coat and touch ups to avoid rust. Teak and eucalyptus weather to a silver gray unless oiled. Resin wicker woven over an aluminum frame holds up well in sun and rain, while natural wicker belongs under cover.
Look closely at cushions and fabric
Solution dyed acrylic fabrics resist fading and mildew better than printed polyester. Quick dry foam cores let water drain through rather than soak in. Removable, zippered covers make washing easy. Even with good materials, storing cushions or using furniture covers during long wet or snowy periods will extend their life considerably.
Plan utilities for outdoor kitchens
Outdoor kitchen islands and grills are built for propane or natural gas. Liquid propane setups run off a tank, while natural gas needs a line run by a licensed fitter. Sinks need a water supply and a drain plan, and refrigerators need a GFCI protected outdoor outlet. Confirm clearances from walls, railings and overhead structures in the grill’s installation guide before you settle on placement.
Main product types
This collection covers deep seating sofas, loveseats and sectional pieces with left and right arm modules, outdoor dining sets, gazebos in a range of sizes and finishes, and modular outdoor kitchen islands with sinks, bar counters, griddles and refrigeration. YardCraft contributes a large share of the range, with additional pieces from Patio Resorts and HomeRoots.
