Rove Concepts Womb Chair and Ottoman – Classic Boucle Wool Carnation

Previously order a womb chair from another online company and returned because the quality was so poor. Ending up purchasing with rove. The womb chair was the same price as the previously order chair but night and day difference in the quality! First time purchase from Rove and very impressed.

The Chair is a bit smaller than the knoll chair that you might see in an office but otherwise it is a great accent chair in a space. The material is comfortable and the posture is exactly what I was looking for. I would have expected the arm rests to be perfectly flat as opposed to slanted downward (away from the sitter).

We like the look and feel of the chair and it looks great in our home, however the chrome base/legs do not screw in properly to the bottom of the chair, and it looks very sloppy in that part of the design, because the screws cannot screw all the way in. Disappointed in this part of the fit and finish.

Beautiful and well executed chair. I bought two of them. I would suggest to include photos by Rove so as a buyer you understand the dimensions better, as it’s quite sizeable, but oh so gorgeous!

Such a beautiful and comfortable chair! Love how it looks in my space. Took away a star bc of some issues during assembly. First, there were black marks on the chair legs that I initially thought were scratches on the metal (there were a couple of actual nicks/scratches btw), which ended up rubbing off onto the light-colored upholstery. Not a huge deal since that happened on the bottom of the chair and under the arm rests, but still... Second, one of the screws broke while I was screwing it into the chair, making both the screw and that particular screw hole unusable. Fortunately, the chair seems sturdy enough with the remaining screws.

We love it! We were worried because we had an older remake of a womb chair. We loved it! However the fabric was worn. In steady of looking for fabric, having it reupholstered We decided to purchase the Rove Concepts pair. The interior sitting wasn't as wide because it had nice thick cushioning! TMI! We love thev18" seat ht. It's nice and heavy...very quality. Such quality for a great price!

The Wombchair Chair and Ottoman looks great in our bedroom good- good quality and finish and finish. The matterial and Sage colour was nicer than expected. The in-store service I received from Manda Budisa in the Toronto store in was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and gave several samples that we could take up to our cottage that enabled us to ensure our material selection was a great fit. However, the Assembly did not go well. We had a problem with 6 Screws that did not line up

I love this chair. I was looking for a chair with a high back. It does not disappoint. I can sit in it for long periods of time. It is very comfortable. I like it so much that I decided to purchase a second one. The white glove delivery was excellent!

The first chair delivered did had a defect with the frame and the chair would not attach to the base, ordered a replacement and the customer service was great, and they send a new one. this made the wait to get a chair more than 2 months, but other other than the delay the chair is great.

Quality is pretty good. Happy with it. However, I do feel the hardware could be better. One of the pre drilled holes to attach the legs was off. I had to cut the end of one of the bolts to get it to seat all the way. Rove was quick to address the concern. So far I like the modern felt. Feels softer on the chair than on the swatch. I likely should have also got modern felt for my Nico sectional that I purchased previously (I got vintage velvet and it's not really dog/nail and hair friendly. ).

I didn’t want to pay close to $10k for the originals, but I wanted them…So I found OUT about ROVE CONCEPTS, and for a fraction of the price I’m now the happy owner of this wonderful chair…and matching ottoman…Flawless!!! On top of it I got the tulip side table…A MUST!!! Perfect delivery…the box is HUGE, so you might have to unpack outside… First experience with ROVE CONCEPTS…but not the last!!!

This chair & ottoman set is aptly named the 'womb chair.' It is pure Heaven! After a hard days work, I feel as though I melt back into the chair and the load of the day washes away. It is a large chair, so not ideal for small spaces. It has a firm but organic design. I highly recommend this set. Love it!

Loving my new womb chair and ottoman in the Aegean wool material. The chair is a great reading or meditation chair and looks fantastic in the room. The tag placement is poor as it can easily be seen and can not be removed, the cushion of the chair also doesn't fully reach the back, so there is a bit of a crevasse when sitting on the chair.

The product is beautiful. Soft fabric and very comfortable. Looks great in the space. It was difficult to fit through a narrow doorway, but we were able to remove/reattach the legs to fit. I did have some trouble with the delivery aspect of the purchase (difficult to schedule/track shipping progress, received an alert of next day drop off out of the blue, etc.) but that is unrelated to the product itself.

I truly love this chair and ottoman. I bought the chartreuse colour, which to me looks more yellow than green and it’s beautiful. I have taken to sitting in it every night to watch TV rather than our couch. The fabric is soft and the chair is very comfortable. I wanted a chair that was aesthetically pleasing but also one that would be inviting enough to actually curl up in; this chair hits the mark for sure.

Beautiful piece! I ordered the womb chair and ottoman in Tanzanite, the color is stunning. The pieces were well-packaged and in great condition upon arrival, great quality components and materials. My only call-out is that the wool blend has more of a rough hand than I’d expect though it will soften over time. Very happy with the purchase overall, I do think the price is on the high side. Its an investment I’ve had my eye on for a few years and this is a beautiful replica!

I love this chair and ottoman. I needed a recliner as I am now on home dialysis but hate those big heavy things and took a chance that the womb chair would work. And it does - I can recline way back and cosy it up with pillows, spending hours now in this little "nest". It is spacious and cosy at the same time and is a thing of beauty.

Chair is great, but delivery service was not. There was no email or alert about delivery times, I was on hold for 3hrs and pilot never picked up. There was no call to let me know they were on the way and the package was delivered 25+ days after ordering. It shouldn’t take that long when in stock and coming from California to Oregon

We purchased the Womb Chair for our bedroom. It’s gives my wife a nice place to meditate; read; and enjoy the view. We purchased three other pieces from Rove Concepts...a Mies Van Der Rowe Barcelona Chair, Mies Van Der Rowe Daybed and a Tulip Coffee Table. My wife are happy with all of our purchases.

The chair is wonderful! The communication with you regarding the chair was excellent. It arrived on time, extremely well packaged. My only negative is......the colour of the chair did not match the colour sample you sent me. It is somewhat "off".

We love our blue loom chair and ottoman. It’s the most comfortable chair in our house and we were very pleased that it arrived within a week of ordering. It seems to be of excellent quality.

Chair itself is great, nice fabric and very comfortable, minus the stitching on the edges that could do with being neater... The shipping price is outrageous though, took three weeks and $299 to come from LA to the Bay Area! Many furniture company’s now offer free shipping, rove should improve.

Super comfy bedroom reading chair, very happy with it. My only regret is the color. It's so light that it shows all lint and hair, which this wool material picks up very easily. I have to clean it daily with a lint brush. But the color is very pretty and warm.

Stylish and comfortable!

We are satisfied with our new womb chair. We wish there was a bit more padding and the stitching is a bit loose. Still for the price we are pleased.

First of all, I love my Womb Chair and Ottoman! After few years of browsing Rove website, going through numerous Pinterest photos, I decided to purchase the Womb Chair and Ottoman. As I'm working from home now and winter days are coming ahead, investing in this chair was the right decision. I'll be spending hours reading, sipping my tea, and looking out the window from this chair. I chose the Merlot shade in boucle wool and I completely love it! The shade is toned down, goes well with oak and walnut wood, and also my scandinavian style decors. If you're unsure of which color to purchase, you can request samples of their fabric swatches (I've done it multiple times), and Rove is very speedy with sending you the samples so you can see how the color might look in your home. I gave five stars not only because the chair was as beautiful as it looked on the website, but also for their customer service. The chair came with few flaws (dents and cuts on the fabric), but Rove was exceptional in responding and resolving the issue. Lastly, the cushion is far better than how it looks in the pictures. I was actually worried that the cushioning on the overall chair (not just the seats but also on the frame) would be too thin, and that you'd feel the stiff frame underneath. But, the chair has the right amount of cushioning on the frame, and also the chair/ottoman has nice/dense cushion foam. I'm sure it'll last many years and I hope it does!

Working with Rove Concepts has been just great, and I am very pleased with the quality of the products. I will certainly continue to spec their works on other projects!!!

I love the chair it looks great and the craftsmanship appears to be excellent. The white glove delivery service was a total waste of money. I was not contacted to make an appointment. I got a call from the driver that the delivery would happen in 30 minutes. After trying unsuccessfully to get in touch with the dispatcher. The crate was left on my back deck. The chair is great.

I purchased two pearl colored womb chair and ottomans. They are perfect in my office - no one would ever know they are replicas. The fabric is great quality and is a light cream color...just like. pearl. I would highly recommend purchasing the chair and ottoman.

My one drawback is that the shipping box was wider than my door width so I had to open it outside and finagle it inside (I believe the white glove service would handle that). The Womb Chair is beautiful and comfortable as expected. Went for the Aegean cashmere (a friend has the burgundy wool), and the cashmere is just a little softer and cozier.

The womb chair is everything I hoped it would be. Well constructed (heavy!), inviting, and comfortable! It is roomy enough to allow me to cross my legs which I love. I can also stretch them out to the ottoman. The fabric is soft and beautiful. I think the look is stunning. I have added a second throw pillow for cushion and support. I wasn't sure I would be able to get it up the somewhat narrow staircase of my 100 year old house, but we got it up without much problem. I love it!

I purchased two Womb Chairs with Ottomans and I couldn't be happier. Having never purchased furniture I could not first see, touch, or sit on, initially I was wary. But, with its remarkable customer service (a shout out to Ruby!) that answered my questions patiently and these comfortable chairs which are obviously high quality, I'll be back to shop again at Rove Concepts.

The chair is very well made and it’s a high end product. I matched this chair with a light gray Gamma leather sofa I just bought and it looks amazing in my family room!

Chair is great - Delivery was not as smooth as it could have been. the driver showed up 3 hours before my scheduled delivery time and called me to ask me why I wasn't there. I had to rush home from my appointment because the driver said he would wait and he was gone when I got there. He did come back but it was very confusing

The womb chair and ottoman is an excellent reproduction. I have an original in my other home and it is very similar.

Just bought 2 of these. I’m very happy with them. Heavy, solid construction. As far as I can see, there is no noticeable difference in quality or appearance from those that I would get from Knoll for $6500/ea. I intend to buy 2 more. Arrived supper quick. Very pleasantly surprised

This chair is solid, well-made, and an excellent alternative to its more expensive original if you care about design and quality. The upholstery is well-constructed, cushions are firm, and the chartreuse fabric seems to be easy to clean (I tested the sample swatch!). Easy delivery, and the chair/ottoman arrive fully assembled and ready to go. Love it so far - lots of compliments.

I love this chair. It is comfortable, made well, beautiful color and fits great in the corner of my home. It is a big chair and I had an initial panic about not know how to get it up the stair case and into my apartment. After calling Rove Concepts, I learned that the legs are easy to remove and reinstall and the chair was then easy to bring up . the stairs. I love this chair and would recommend this product.

This chair is very attractive. Overall I am quite pleased with it. One of the feet from the chair was not attached. The driver offered to take it back but I didn't want to have to take another day off from work to wait for delivery. What was odd was that the packing foam was missing from that leg too, like someone decided to ship it anyway. The foot was in the box and I reattached it - just hoping it stays. Really do like the chair though. I am very happy with the delivery service that was provided.

Items met and exceeded my expectations. We have one issue with one of the sofa still open and in resolution.

Delivery guys were excellent. Moved the very heavy and large table, were quick and polite, and prompt. All good. We can’t truly assess the furniture as it is too well packaged for us older adults to unwrap until after our scheduled move. From what we can make out through the packaging it looks fantastic and the colours of the fabrics are beautiful.

There is truly no reason to buy originals. In the past we always spent the money on pricier options, somehow thinking we were getting superior quality. That simply isn’t the case, at least not with the pieces we have received. We usually end up moving or redecorating and have thrown so much money away that when I discovered this site that had all the styles I love for so much less, it was a no-brainer. I’ll always check Rove first!

I am MORE than 100% happy with my purchase. My new purple Womb Chair and Ottoman is absolutely gorgeous !!!!! I cannot tell the difference from the Knoll original that sells for 4 times $$$$ as much ! It is in my Master Bedroom and I sit in it constantly to read and watch TV. It is so roomy, comfortable and classy. Thank you so much for giving me a chair I have always coveted but felt I could never afford. And the 2 Tulip Armchairs are perfect as well. Again I cannot tell the difference from the original and at such a great price. The cushions are a beautiful color of red and very cushy. I use them at my dining table but they also look great in my living area as extra seating. And I was told after I placed my order that it would take 3-4 months to arrive but I received everything within 6 weeks !!! I am so fortunate to have found Rove concepts. I chose them because of their great reviews and they lived up to their name. Their quality is impeccable and their service is professional. I will definitely buy many more mid century modern pieces from them. Right now, I have my eye on the 79 inch oval Carrara Marble Tulip Dining Table and 4 Tulip Side Chairs to match my armchairs.
