Amantii vs Dimplex comes down to three things: the flame technology you want, the warranty you need, and how the unit installs in your wall. Dimplex offers the widest range of flame types, including its patented Optimyst water vapor fireplaces, and lists a longer standard indoor warranty. Amantii focuses on built-in and linear LED fireplaces with many sizes, slim units that fit 2×4 walls, and several models rated for covered outdoor use. We sell Amantii, not Dimplex, so every Dimplex fact below comes from Dimplex’s own website, opened on 1 October 2026, and we link each page so you can check it.

Flame realism: LED vs water vapor
Both brands use LED flame effects across most of their lines. Amantii’s linear units let you change flame color (typically yellow, orange, blue, violet and rose on many models) and ember bed lighting; the Symmetry Lumina adds enhanced orange, red and yellow blending, and the app adjusts flame brightness, color and speed.
Dimplex’s standout is Optimyst, which Dimplex describes as patented water vapor technology that produces 3D flames and smoke with no fuel, venting or combustion. Dimplex lists eight Optimyst models, from an 18 in plug-in stove style to 46, 66 and 86 in linear units. If a mist effect is what you want, Dimplex is the brand to look at; Amantii’s lineup on our site is LED only. Dimplex’s Revillusion firebox line (24 to 42 in) targets a traditional brick-look hearth.
Heat output and electrical
Most units in both brands are supplemental heaters, not whole-home heat. Dimplex’s FAQ says most electric fireplaces heat rooms up to 400 sq ft. Amantii is similar: the Symmetry Lumina lists a 1500W fan-forced heater rated by Amantii for rooms up to 400 sq ft with a thermostat range of 59 to 82 F, and the Traditional XtraSlim lists Low 750W and High 1500W settings. Some Amantii pages, such as the Symmetry Basic and the Panorama Deep XT, list 4,800 BTU and 400 to 500 sq ft. Treat all of these as manufacturer ratings; real results depend on insulation and room shape.
On wiring, Dimplex’s linear fireplace page says plug-in units use a standard 120 volt outlet while hardwired 208 or 240 volt models need a licensed electrician. Several Amantii units, including the Zero Clearance 33 in, can be plugged in or hardwired. Our electric fireplace buying guide explains circuits and heat output in more depth.
Installation: 2×4 walls, 2×6 walls and wall mounting
This is where Amantii is strongest. The Symmetry XtraSlim and TruView Slim are designed to recess into a standard 2×4 wall, and the TruView Slim 60 in installs four ways (three sides open, left open, right open, or both sides closed). The WM-FM series can hang on the wall or be recessed into it. Dimplex’s Ignite XL is listed as fully recessed into a 2×6 wall, and Dimplex says most of its linear models can be recessed or wall-hung. Whatever you choose, follow the framing and clearance figures in that model’s manual exactly.
Warranty and support
This is Dimplex’s clearest advantage on paper. Amantii’s warranty page says its warranty applies to units under 2 years from purchase, Bespoke units have 5 years, and labor charges are not covered. Dimplex’s extended warranty form lists a 5 year standard warranty for indoor units and 1 year for outdoor, and Dimplex sells two extension tiers. If long coverage matters to you and you prefer Amantii, the Symmetry Bespoke line (for example the 60 in Symmetry Bespoke) is the one with 5 years.
Which is better for you?
- Choose Dimplex if you want a water vapor flame, a traditional brick-look firebox, or the longest standard warranty on an indoor unit.
- Choose Amantii if you want a slim built-in for a 2×4 wall, a three-sided or outdoor-capable linear unit, many width options (our Amantii range runs from 24 to 100 in), or WiFi app control.
- Either works for a standard linear fireplace in a living room; compare flame look in person if you can, then compare warranty and price on the exact model.
