I have owned this piece of equipment for over 7(seven) years... cooked / fried over 100 + turkeys on this unit at annual deep fry BYOT gatherings at my farm in upstate South Carolina...the heating element started to mal function / and I will replace with the same unit...quality beyond my expectations...PERIOD

Electric fryer. I had this or similar fryer for approximately twelve years before it failed. Amazing unit. Consistently good fried turkey and the like. Highly recommend!! I will never slow roast a turkey again!

Restaurant Style performance. This fryer has changed my life, it’s not all great on deep frying a turkey, chicken wings, or fish, it’s also good for steaming seafood. I enjoy cooking with the deep fryer and it’s easy to clean.

I overall love my Masterbuilt Electric Fish Fryer. I've had mine for about 15 years I think it has to be between 10 and 15 years and it worked pretty well for most of the time. It has moments I guess when it will need you to reset it and minor things like that but I've fried as many as 200 pieces of fish in one afternoon on the 4th of July. My problem is I have a old model 230 11514 and it doesn't have a lot of spare parts available for it. I would like to have an extra power cord. Also I wish the cord was longer so I wouldn't have to use an extension cord. Really the only actual floor I find is the extension cord issue. Other than that, I absolutely love it and I am about to buy another one. Since this one is older, I just want a more sure-fire newer one for the future. Is this french fry is designated for home use, I may have stressed it on those 4th of July celebrations when I cook so many pieces of fish but it got the job done.

I have had it for several years. It’s still preforming well. When doing Turkeys, it doesn’t cover or keep the Breast down in the oil.

Disappointed. Received as a Christmas gift. Used today for the first time. Does not get up to temperature. Not able to even crisp be outside of the turkey. Not happy. Oil was properly warmed up for 45 minutes. However, once turkey was put in it never maintained temperature above 250.

multipurpose. I have used this to fry a Turkey. We have done shrimp boils with I have boiled vegetables. I have left the basket up also to steamed veggies and also chicken. It doesn't have to have oil. Plus easy to clean up

Easy Cooking, Tough to Store. I bought the Masterbuilt 10L XL Electric Fryer, Boiler, and Steamer mainly for holiday turkey frying, and it works great! The electric heating is consistent and safer than traditional propane burners. It heats up quickly and maintains the temperature perfectly, making deep-frying a breeze. This fryer is very versatile. We've used it to boil shrimp and steam vegetables too, and the results are always good. It's easy to drain the oil with the built-in spigot, which makes cleanup much less messy. The only minor complaint is that it’s quite large, so finding storage space can be tricky, and the basket handles can get very hot. Overall, it’s a reliable and versatile kitchen tool that I recommend for anyone who enjoys frying or steaming large batches of food. 4 out of 5 stars!

Fryer. I had issues with mine. It doesn’t heat up like it should. Never returned it just don’t use it anymore.

Better than I expected. The experience and resulting fried turkey were great. Setup was easy. The cooking process was very easy and so was cleanup. There was no mess and little noise.

Better than advertised. We bought this due to the smell left behind from frying foods in our house. We were looking for a fryer that was easy to set up and didn’t require extra item such a propane. This frying is large enough to cook several serving of fish and fries, fry a turkey and accommodate all of our needs for a fryer. Miss Masterbuilt Master. I bought a Masterbuilt Turkey fryer a couple of weeks ago. It arrived promptly and I cannot wait to use it.

Two turkey family. 51 for thanksgiving. Only 1/2 that for Christmas but to serve this family takes 2 LARGE turkeys and a roast. Two turkeys is a minimum 10-12 hours which means by time to eat our cook MOMMA ready for a nap. For the 1st time in years Momma will be cooking for 1/2 the time and both turkeys will be hot same time with our new Masterbuilt Fryer. Thank You MB.

Doesn't work. I bought this to use for Thanksgiving, First use. put the turkey in and 5 minutes later it stopped heating. Tried resetting it, didn't work. Only option is to spend another $80.00 for a new controller (with no guarantee the replacement will work) I've wasted enough money on this. Very disappointed.

Doesn't work a couple days past the 1 yr warranty. We only used this twice last year and it worked fine. This year on Thursday we spent 2 hours trying to get this to work and it wouldn't come on just a couple days past the warranty period. We looked on YouTube to try to see if there was an easy fix for this. Neither me or more husband or technician so we can't fix this.

Amazing Turkey Fryer. We have been using this to deep fry our turkey every Thanksgiving for 3 years. The turkey cooks perfectly and is juicy. The fryer is amazing. You can also use it to cook other items. Buy this! We got ours from Home Depot! Worth every penny!

Decent, but not for turkey. Decent fryer overall, but not sufficient as a turkey fryer. Temperature never recovers from the drop once you put the turkey in. Even set all the way up to 375, never got above 240 after the turkey dropped.

Versatile & Amazing! Reviews on this unique fryer were mixed. It took me a little longer than necessary to buy it. However, I am so glad that I finally did! This thing is simply amazing! First, the fact that you can fry, boil, and steam all in one unit is incredible. So far, in a month of ownership, I have fried chicken wings and a turkey breast. I have steamed shrimp, lobster tail, rice, and vegetables many times. The unit was heavier than I thought it would be - but in a good way. It seems to be quality built. Cleanup could not be more simpler with the clean-out valve. That’s product a very clever and it is clear that thought was put into its design. Just get it for yourself!

Turkey’s Ready. I’ve owned the XL for about 15 years. Until I purchased it, I never thought you could fry turkey in the house. Wow - was I wrong! It was always cooked to perfection, and everyone ‘raved’ about the texture, color, and taste of my fried turkey. The XL was so great that several family members asked me to cook their turkey - which I did on numerous occasions. Do I recommend it? Heck yes, I do! I loved mine so much that I purchased one for my mother and mother-in-law.

Great large batch fryer. Take a little long to get to temp but when you are there you are cooking without any hiccups. I have fried turkeys and fried chicken on a regular basis. I can fry 6 to 8 pieces of chicken at a time so if your feeding a large croud then this is what you want unlike propane fryers that you constantly have to regulate the temp this cooker does it for you. save money on not getting your oil too hot. also the solpout for draining old oil is convenient. cleanup is a breeze also. so if you like frying this one is for you!

Huge capacity! I got this so I could fry multiple turkeys at once. Honestly a little disappointed. It takes forever to heat up and it wouldn’t keep a high enough temperature for the turkey. I’ll just stick to propane for now.

Very nice fryer. I’ve fried many Thanksgiving turkey’s with this fryer and it has performed beautifully. It is quick to heat up, has a large capacity, maintains a steady temperature and is easy to clean. My only caution (which is stated in the manual but deserves mention) is to plug it directly into an outlet and do NOT use an extension cord. You risk ruining the detachable cord, melting your extension cord and possibly causing a fire.

Don’t buy. Not worth the money. Doesn’t hold temp for something as simple as frying fish.Older model was way better.

Love this fryer for turkey's and chicken nuggets! I fire this thing up about three to four times a week, making chicken wings, chicken nuggets, chicken patties, corn dogs, cod, fish sticks, etc... The thing is a beast and can even do turkey's at Thanksgiving. The only reason I gave it a four star out of five, is because, it does take quite a bit of time to warm to temp (expectable with oil and the capacity that it has). Takes about 20-25 minutes to get to 375. That's my only gripe, other than that, I use this thing all the time! I love it!

Deep Fry in style. I’m an admitted seafood lover. This machine really makes it easy, and doesn’t create an land-ship on your counter. Easy of filling, putting the food (meat, shrimp, etc.) is just what works so well. I love it for fish and shrimp and kick it up with some deep-fried battered jalepeno pepper slices, yumm.

Like it so much I bought 2 more! i've owned my Masterbuilt10L Xl for 5 years and have used it for big shrimp boils with quartered corn cobs, petit potatoes, garlic pods and Creole seasoning for gatherings. 3 years ago I started frying turkey, finally settling on Creole turkey, with injected and rubbed Creole seasonings as those got the best reviews from my family. My Son and Son in law were particularly impressed at the meal and the simplicity and safety of frying the turkey in the Masterbuilt. Not only the cooking was simple, but the clean up and storing or discarding of the oil is without mess or much effort. Perfect excuse to by them each one, for Christmas 2 years past. Easy Peasy. The simplicity of this product is awesome. I use it so much more than I thought I would.

My Favorite football season accessory! I love having people over for football games and it’s become a tradition in my house to have wings pretty much every time we watch a game. I used to have to sit frying wings for hours before the games but now I cook them in way less batches. I will usually get the fryer up to temp then drop in about 7 or so lbs for 8mins and then move them to the oven at the lowest setting while I wait about 5 mins before dropping in a second set for 9 mins. After that I put them all in the oven wait 10 mins for the oil the go all the way back up and I fry all the wings together for about 5 mins. I love a wing that is crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. This fryer saves me so much time and makes some of the best wings at least to our liking. I highly recommend this fryer the kiddos also love cheese stick and Dino nuggets and they cook up in a breeze to feed the crowd.

Crispy fries. This is my go to Fryer when it comes to making some fries or any other item. It’s so easy to use and makes some crispy fries. It’s very easy to clean up as well and doesn’t take up too much of my time.

It Does the Job. This unit was bought to fry turkeys. It does a great job. The only thing is, it takes 45 minutes to completely heat up the oil. Great for frying fish, chicken, anything your heart desires.

No good. It's good when it worked. Used it for a fish fry Sunday and the control panel stop working for the second batch. I made a claim. Was sent a replacement control panel and that wasn't working. Made another claim and the second panel didn't work as well. So now I'm out if money because Amazon said, I'm past the window of a refund.

Not a fan of the upgrades (3 stars out of 5). I hope Masterbuilt looks at my suggestions. I love my old Masterbuilt Turkey Fryer. I was looking at black Friday sales and almost made the purchase to upgrade my fryer, that is until I noticed key upgrades that make it a deal breaker for me. 1. The timer has been removed. I love the timer because while I'm doing other things I just listen for the finished beep. I don't have to use my phone or other device to keep time. I can send someone else to monitor the fryer. 2. The drain was moved from the back to the front. My old model has the drainage in the back. I love this because I can leave the greasy basket and heating element attached to the unit until I drain the grease. It also allows for some of the access grease to drain into tub off of the element and basket where I'm not leaving a trail of oil to remove them immediately just to get to the drain spout. With the old version all I had to do is turn the unit around to start draining the oil.

Great investment. I've been frying turkeys for about 10 years. I've always used the traditional pot with propane set up. This year I decided to try this electric fryer. Set up was super easy. I added the oil and turned it on. After it came to temp I placed the turkey is and began frying. When it was done, I pulled it and let it rest on its convenient hook and rack setup. Once it rested long enough, I cut into it and was very happy with the outcome. The turkey was evenly cooked, super tender, very juicy and had a beautiful color to it. Clean up was a breeze with its draining system and ease of taking it apart for washing. Loved being able to put it on a table at a good height for me. It allowed me to monitor the temp easier and to handle everything. No more bending over or worrying about flame out or fire hazards with propane. Definitely gave me the results I wanted with much less stress. Only issue was I cooked outside and it was cold so oil took longer to heat up. Other then that, this is definitely one of the best cooking investments I have made.

Disappointed. Honestly love the product BUT over the last two years I have owned 2 the first lasted 4 years and finally clunked out so I just figured it ran its coarse but the 2nd I purchased July 2024 and it is doing the same thing already it is the day before thanksgiving and now I have to run around and find a solution this is not good the same issue with 2 of the same fryer this has to be fixed I also seen on YouTube and Reddit many people are having the same issue I would love to continue using your products but this issue has to be fixed please so no one has a ruined thanksgiving such as mine!!!!

Great Product. I have had mine for a few years a love it. One thing I will say, all the people saying the temp dropped or it took to long, look at your extension cord. You have GOT to use a heavy gauge cord to get enough electricity to flow. I use a 10ga and haven't had issues. One time I tried a 14ga and it was a disaster, it took forever.

Masterbuilt Turkey Fryer. I bought this Fryer in the fall and made a delicious Turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. Also I did a Seafood Boil which was equally delicious. Best part of this product is that it's easy to use and clean up easy as well.Using the spout to remove oil was and added feature making clean up fast and easy.

Love the Fryer. Was given the deep fryer as a gift. It makes frying a turkey with ease.

Awesome cooker. I've owned my fryer for a year or so now and the turkeys or products are second to none. It's also great for small batch wing frying during football season.
