Masterbuilt 40-Inch Digital Electric Smoker with Window and Legs

Cheesy chip loader. Second time I used this the coarse chips I have continuously jammed up the little chip barrel. Very difficult to turn open after dumping. Only had about 1/2 chip load in barrel. Very poor design as chips should be able to simply slide down a chute into the burn pot. The thin metal handle straps both broke off so now unable to remove barrel in the middle of my smoking process. Not impressed Masterbuilt.

Not durable. I got this smoker for Christmas in 2024. After the first couple of uses the grates started to rust, shortly later the welds broke on the chip loader. This spring the door fell off, because the bottom rusted out. The smoker is shedded even when I use it. Now heating element is out.

SMALL BUT MIGHTY! I bought this after struggling with pellet grill/smoker reliability over the past few years. This thing is SMALL BUT MIGHTY! Easy to assemble and a very small footprint (slightly smaller than a dorm room mini-fridge) which is nice on my already cluttered patio. It easily maintained temperature between 275 & 300 for a 10 hour pork butt and had amazing flavor. Clean up is easy with removable water and grease pans. With 4 racks it really will hold a lot of food despite its small overall size. For a family or small gathering/tailgate this is an awesome product. I would upgrade to larger/hotter if you're wanting to feed 15+ people or get a sear on any meat.

I love it. It’s so awesome because you put on low and slow as said I love it

Heating element failure. I bought the electric smoker recently. I just used that few times and now temperature doesn't rise abovec140 F. The heating element broke because of low qualify material. I tried to reach customer service and no luck. I am a professional engineer more than 30 years. This smoker has been built with cheapest and low quality materials. It should called cheap built. Please see the other low rating comments. I am not an angry customer I feel I ripped off by name and have not received any quality or customer service.

Totally regret purchasing. Every time the door is opened SYNC message comes on and smoker continuously beeps. After closing door, temperature continues to drop, have to unplug smoker and start everything up again. Instructions for rib recipe calls for spraying ribs every 30 minutes. Had to skip that, otherwise I'd have to start everything up again every 30 minutesfor 4 hours. Taking smoker back tomorrow. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE.

All the features I am searching for. I've never purchased A master built smoker or anything but just researching them and reading about them I'm destined to buy one sooner or later and I'll let you know just how it worked out

Great smoker with a little footprint! I'm a few cooks in now and loving it! It works great and is dependable and the wood chips add a very nice layer of smoke that out does some bigger smokers I've used in the past. The only thing I'd like to see is it to go up in temp just a scotch, maybe 325-350. But all in all it's a great unit!

Love! I bought this item for my husband for Father's Day and he just loves it! The only thing I would have different is something so that when you pull the rack out to check things it didn't drip on the ground some sort of a catch other than that we love it oh one more thing would be cool since it's electric to have temperatures

DO NOT BUY! Bricked after 2 uses. If I would have written this after the first 2 times I used it, it would be 5 stars. But now, if I could give this zero stars, I would. I went to start it to cook my 3rd set of ribs this summer. The temp showed 250 and would not budge. I had it under a cover to keep it safe, but now, it’s essentially scrap metal with WiFi capability. Just get a regular non-“smart” smoker.

Feeding the family. I bought this smoker several years ago. I have cooked a little bit of everything in it. Love the flavors it adds to my food.

I was happy. I’ve owned this for three years and I’ve replaced the time/ temp control mechanism twice. At almost $60 each, I’m not impressed. Worked well otherwise.

It's fine, but the tech is unreliable. Smoker has been ok. Have had some good cooks with it, but it's fought me a lot as I try to use it more. App disconnects constantly (the antenna being on the bottom of the smoker probably doesn't help that). The temp sensor and the probes are junk and don't give accurate temp readings. I just use an internal thermometer, a good temp probe, and a timer instead of relying on the masterbuilt stuff. Also, don't waste your money on the cover "designed for it". It fits like you're using a cover for a different smoker anyway, might as well go buy one in the right size that works better.

Perfect entry tier smoker. Buy this before you drop a bunch of money on expensive equipment. You'll get comfortable with the smoking process quickly, and if you decide to upgrade you can still use the 710 for smaller meals/sides.

Good smoker. Very easy to use. Won't get a smoke ring like you would on an old school smoker. The only issue is the plastic film over the digital display will eventually start peeling. This issue can be corrected by covering it up with a small towel.

Buy the bigger model! Had this about one month. Works wonderfully...lots of fun to experiment with...great smoke flavor imparted.

My gifted Smoker. I was gifted this smoker and I am so blessed. I have smoked everything from brisket to grapes. It is such a wonderful addition to my backyard tools I couldn’t be happier.

It doesn't get any easier (or better) than this! I love my Masterbuilt Smoker! Smoking wonderful meat - beef, pork, chicken - couldn't be easier. I always receive compliments on the food I make in this smoker. You always hear that the problem with smoking meat is temperature regulation. Not a problem with this smoker. I have purchased three of these and given them as gifts to family also.

smoker good/ app terrible. The smoker itself seems to work ok but the app is hot garbage. Loses connection to the smoker if you look at it funny mid smoke. Trying to set temp is hit and miss. Temp probe worked for 4 hours then is no longer recognized

Try it as soon as you get it, it might be a dud. I work for a company that gives points for safety and other good reasons. I saved up my points to get a new smoker, and I chose this one. I'm thinking cool. I already had one before and loved it. I wanna get a bigger one, and I had had it in my garage, ready to use when I got the chance. When finally got the chance to use it, it did not work. it's brand spanking, new, just horrible, all the food i had prepped may be wasted. I will never buy masterbuilt ever again.

Warning! Can arrive broken! This was given to me as a Christmas gift. This meant I didn't get to use it for several months when the weather got better. One the very first attempt to fire this up, it did not heat. At all. The temperature control panel worked fine and showed that the smoker never got above 75 degrees. Even after several hours of "heating". When I opened to check, the heating element was cool to the touch. I filed a complaint, hoping I could get help on this. There was no phone number to reach and talk to someone. I had to fill it out online. Of course they suggested it may have to due with using an extention cord, but that wasn't the case here. Where I was told that my product was out of warranty and they closed my ticket. I cannot give this higher than a 1 star because I was never able to use it even once!

Love My Smoker!! This is my first smoker, and me and my wife are blown away by the amazing tasting meats we are making. I’ve done pulled pork, chicken, ribs and bologna, and I can’t believe how good it is. We are saving a lot of money and eating a lot better! I bought some hickory and cherry wood chips to start off, which I spent about 25.00 on, and I still have over half of them after many uses. Honestly, I’d rather eat my own bbq now over any restaurant. Cons: I wish it was a hair wider. It just barely fits a whole rack of ribs in diagonally, and having to reload wood chips every 30 to 45 minutes is a bit tiring. Neither one of the negatives would stop me from buying this again. I’m sold on my Masterbuilt 30” smoker. Might upgrade to the 40” when it kicks the bucket. Thanks Masterbuilt!!

okay. bought it 2 days ago followed all directions why won't it go up to 275 or higher staying at 250? mes30b #mb20070210 serial#112212 not happy with this

DO! NOT! BUY! JUNK! JUNK! JUNK! I buy the 40 inch digital smoker on April 20th, 2026, from a big box store. I assembled it following the instructions to the letter. I used it three times, once in May, twice in June. I planned to use it on the Fourth of July. I plugged it in and immediately recognized the digital control was not functioning. The temperature and timer both would not “set.” I turned it off, the unplugged the cooker, waited five minutes, plugged it back in and tried again. On the second try the heating element light on the controller wouldn’t even come on. The timer did whatever it wanted to do. I unplugged it, put it in the car, and took it back to the store where I bought it. The only bright spot in this disaster is the store provided me with a full refund. In the short time I had what will be my last Masterbuilt product, it was ALWAYS used and stored in my garage, never seeing the light of day, rain, or and weather condition beyond the ambient temperature of my garage. I cleaned it after each use and left the door ajar so it could dry out. Disappointed is a mild description of what I’m left with. I had plans for a family gathering and to have some good smoked meats. Instead, I stood at a return counter with this JUNK! smoker. The frozen pizza we will have this afternoon is going to fall way short of our plans and simultaneously ensure Masterbuilt will never get a penny of my business ever again. This got one star because zero was not an option.

Not like my old Masterbuilt. Cheaper for sure. Very disappointed in this smoker. I had another Masterbuilt electric for years; with Bluetooth and internal thermometer. I assumed (bad to do) that this one would be equipped the same way, but no. But more importantly, the ambient temp in the smoker gets no higher than 235 F when the smoker temp setting is maxed out at 275. This on a 75 degree day. Granted, there is a breeze, but I like to smoke in January when the temps can be zero. So i'm guessing there is no way i'll be able to get this thing up to 225 in those conditions. Things will cook, in 20 hours, but this purchase is underwhelming. I really should have done more shopping. They skimped on the walls and insulation, for sure.

Average Smoker. Doesn't keep a consistent temperature, but da food still good!

Terrible construction. I bought a Masterbuilt electric smoker expecting decent quality, but the interior started rusting far sooner than it should have. Despite proper cleaning and storage, the inside is now so rusted that metal is flaking off and the unit feels unsafe to use. The racks and interior panels are heavily corroded, and it’s nearly impossible to clean without scraping off more rust. For a product designed to handle moisture and heat, this level of deterioration is unacceptable. A smoker shouldn’t become a safety concern this quickly. I’m disappointed in the build quality and longevity, and I can’t recommend this model based on my

Doesn't work. I bought this in April. Used it once. Next time I went to use it, it won't heat up. Extremely disappointed, and will be returning to the store.

Not like my old masterbuilt. If you smoke at cooler temps this unit will disappoint. Operation manual basically states this. Will not produce smoke at lower operating temperatures just crank it up wide open for 8-10 minutes to make smoke. Translation: ruin you finished product. Smoking meat is a science and an art. Repeatability is mandatory. Randomly altering temps to create smoke is clown car level nonsense. Loved my old masterbuilt smoker with two independent heat elements one for smoke generation and one for temp. Very disappointed

Great Smoker. I’ve had this smoker for about six months. I am a beginner at smoking food and this unit works great for me. I set the thermostat and timer, and some water and wood chips and letter go. I do use a digital meat thermometer probe. I love this smoker for the ease of use and relatively small footprint. Food comes out great!

Great smoker. I got this for Father's Day and use it often. It's great for chicken, pork, crab legs, and chex mix, among other things. I strongly recommend this smoker to anyone who is interested in an easy way to smoke various foods. Just set the temp and timer and add chips and recommended intervals.

The secondhand smoker. I was offered a used smoker and I grabbed it not knowing the brand name, but I am very impressed and it actually works, and The food is delicious. It saves you time from washing dishes and pots and pans. I’m telling you now my next smoker Brand New will be from masterbruilt so win-win.

Amazing smoky flavor. I have used pellet grills in the past and got good smoked flavor, but tried this and the flavor profile went way up. Easy to use and clean and the things I have cooked have come out perfect.

Awesome little Smoker! This is a pretty darn good smoker, and it links to your cell phone! I love it! The only thing I wish were different would be the size of the hooper for the wood chips. It needs to be bigger so I don’t have to keep refilling it when I have a long smoke going on. Other than that, great little smoker!

Disappointed. My old Masterbuilt was great and lasted for years. The new replacement is not even close in quality. The door and the glass both leak water and smoke . The front of the door has developed a hole in the metal. Iv only used it 5 Times . This is the last Masterbuilt product I will ever buy .

Easy to use. Purchased one year ago! Love it! Only issue is hard to keep glass clean!

Set It and Forget It—Perfect BBQ Every Time. I’ve owned my Masterbuilt electric smoker for a while now, and it has completely changed the way I cook. I’ve used it for everything from ribs and brisket to hams and whole turkeys, and it consistently delivers excellent results with minimal effort. What I love most is how easy it is to use. The electric setup takes the guesswork out of temperature control—just set it and let it do its thing. Unlike traditional smokers, I don’t have to constantly monitor fuel or airflow, which means I can actually relax and enjoy the day while the food cooks low and slow. The results speak for themselves. My ribs come out tender with a perfect smoke ring, brisket stays juicy and flavorful, and even large items like turkeys cook evenly with a great smoky taste. The wood chip system is simple to use and gives just the right amount of smoke without being overpowering. Another big plus is consistency. Whether I’m smoking for a small family dinner or a larger gathering, I know exactly what I’m going to get every time. That reliability is huge, especially when cooking more expensive cuts like brisket. Cleanup is also surprisingly easy compared to other smokers I’ve used. The removable trays and straightforward design make it much less of a chore. If there’s one thing I’d recommend, it’s to experiment with different wood chips and cooking times—this smoker makes it easy to dial in your personal flavor preferences. Overall, I couldn’t be

Love my Masterbuilt. This is my second Masterbuilt smoker. Love them both.

Really great smoker. This is a great basic smoker. Very easy to use. Produces a constant temperature and great smoke. I recommend purchasing the legs option. Really helpful and gets it up off the ground. I wish that they ad handles in order to move the unit around.

Good eating. Over the past 14 years, I have had two Masterbuilt smokers (1 30-inch digital with a window and 1 without). I am not a master, but these smokers have produced some awesome food. Thank.

Love my smokers. I have two smokers. One analog and a digital. Best investment ever. I have family and friends me use my for family event. Even late into fall. And this has been for years. Master is buy fat the best especially for digital smoker. Just set and go!

quality. I have had problems with the slow smoke unit as an accessory but never with the slide in chip tray, I have had this style of smoker for 10 years now, very reliable, easy to use and would not hesitate to purchase again

Some of the best smoking ever. This version vertical smoker with wifi allows you to keep tabs on the cooking and smoking part. When you heat with Electricity the smoke generated goes all on the meat, so you get a stronger flavor and tender cooking, using a water bowl to keep it moist during it's smoking process.

Excellent Smoker. I purchased this smoker 2 months ago. It works great. It is insulated so I can keep the heat just right. I have smoked ribs and brisket that were tender and delicious.

I love it. This was my Christmas gift from my family. I could not believe because I have been eyeballing different models and makes for years. This i a pretty asy to use model. The wifi and Bluetooth make the issues mot complain about a thing of the past. Access to temp, probe, and adjusting temp. Is so wonderful. It also gives temp, and probe history during your cook and alerts when everything get to temp. Also the side fill tube makes adding wood chips without opening the door and losing temp. A big plus. Clean up is easy. All of my cooks have been successful and delicious. This is from an inexperienced person in the smoking world. Looking forward to smoking bacon from belly, and Canadian bacon from loin. The only thing I would recommend is that they consider adding casters to this smoker. I easily solved this be purchasing locking casters from Amazon. Easy and economical fix. Just give in and purchase this model. You will NOT regret it!

Upgraded from 30" to 40" because I use it so much. I essentially used up every bit of life in the 30" smoker. It was tight for full slabs of ribs forcing me to cut them in half. Now the 40" smoker takes 8 full slabs of ribs snd I can smoke a 20lb turkey and larger sized brisket. I am more than happy with the performance of your product. Now I have my eye on your lump charcoal smoker / grill combos. Looks intriguing 😁

for the BEST smoked meats and veggies. I have used this smoker for years, my go to. I love I can check the internal temp. without opening the door. makes incredible Prime Rib, off the chart Mac and Cheese and even corn on the cob. even smoked ketchup is a big hit for burgers.

Cooks well, but smaller than I’d like. Purchased this smoker in the summer of 25 to replace my first Masterbuilt Electric smoker. My first Masterbuilt was massive - so much space for many different foods to smoke simultaneously. I’ve smoked with charcoal for many years prior to my foray into electric smokers. I find the ease of a “set and forget” smoker helps tremendously. The 710, while small, cooks well , is reliable, and a great investment.

Excellent smoker. This is my 2nd Masterbuilt smoker and I couldn't be happier. The ease of operation makes Masterbuilt product great for a beginner or a seasoned professional.

Perfect entry into smoking. Needed something small for my patio to smoke in and came across this beauty. Took some work figuring out the best wood chip to smoke ratio, but once I did loved everything I smoked in here. Smoked an Easter ham, pulled pork, bacon, salmon, asparagus; it all turned out delicious and nice smokey. Doesn't seem to get as great a smoke ring as a large smoker, but the flavor is there!

Awesome smoker. Smoker is real convenience, easy.Set up versatile between the meats. super convenient to people on the go.

Not good in Texas. I’ve used this thing twice in Texas where it doesn’t get cold and I get an err1 code indicating a temperature probe problem. I don’t recommend if you live in Texas and need a reliable smoker. Their parts aren’t quality and won’t last.

Zero Stars. I too need to give this a zero rating. I had the old version of the digital and loved it for many years but it died. So I bought this one based on the performance of that one and it is a NO WAY the same company even. While it says 100-275 degrees, there is NO smoke at all until 160. that is too high to smoke salmon and did hundreds of pounds in the old smoker that had the same temperature range. chat boards have a lot of info on a side addition that pumps smoke into the smoker so you can do fish and cheese again without raising the temp in the chamber, usually out of stock and I think another 100$ for it and bunch of fitting to do to get it hooked up to the unit. all to do what the other one did right out of the box??? I have never had a big chief smoker but guess that is my next option after I off load this thing. I want it for fish and cheese and the occasional chicken, not carnivore stuff.

Good smoker, terrible app. It smokes food but the wifi/app/sensors are problematic. Adding the device to the app is successful maybe 50% of the time. It typically will get to where it tries to configure the wifi then hangs up indefinitely. When it is finally connected, I've never been able to use the app to set the temperature. It says the door is open. The temperature/time graph is a nice feature until it completely resets randomly during a smoke so all the history is lost. If you leave the app in the background then come back an hour later, it will be frozen and will have to be restarted. And the cooking history will probably be lost. It's unfortunate that the experience of owning this smoker has been so negativity affected by the poorly developed app. It's a pretty decent smoker for the price and if it weren't so frustrating to use because of the wifi and app, I'd have probably given this a much higher rating.

I got this 2 years ago for a Christmas present. I use it all the time

Leaving the Traeger Smoker/Grill behind. I had a masterbuilt years ago and it died of natural causes. I then tried Traeger, since you could fill the pellets and it would smoke for hours. Lid did not seal (loss of smoke) and thin wall construction (loss of heat) made for a poor / sad smoker.. (expensive too) I'm now back in the Masterbuilt family and also got the add-on smoker where you can stack chips for extended unattended smoking. LOVING IT...

So u think u wanta smoke, meat that is,start here. Few years ago i decided i wanted to smoke meat..after several attempts at other smokers..i bought a masterbuilt digital electric smoker,an never looked back. There is NO BETTER WAY TO START, than with this smoker..all the guess work is taken care of.Thee most important thing in smokin,is temperature...this smoker makes it a breeze..just be careful, you can over smoke, trust me..i know.Since then i have added the cold smoker attachment..table top smoker..autoignite..all total..i have purchased 8 different masterbuilts for myself and my friends...all have loved them...so be careful..you may love so much you'll just keep buyin n buyin..wife and friends say i have a problem buyin all these..i say naw..i'm fine..lol.Buy one ..you'll see..good luck..happy smokin..Recommend? Hell yes ! Absolutely..without a doubt.

Love my smoker but the app is basically useless! I love this smoker that my son bought for us as a Christmas gift. He has one also and really likes it as well, but we both have problems with the app, which basically doesn't work at all. The app should keep the smoker connected to your IPhone but won't stay connected via the Wi Fi, which is it supposed to. My IPhone 17 (brand new!) is not the problem--so if you think you're going to go to work and be able to adjust the temperature of the smoker or stop the cooking, you will NOT be able to do so. AND I have an extensive Eero nest system which connects to the outdoor cameras quite well but the smoker loses connectivity when I walk to the other side of the house! This is not supposed to happen. I believe the company needs to invest in a new app because this one sucks. Otherwise, I love to cook with the smoker. I've done chicken, ribs, country ribs, and my son does an outrageous prime rib on his Masterbuilt electric smoker, as well. But the app is a real problem. Don't know why the company doesn't just invest in a new one? I'm sure this is not the first time someone has said that the app has problems. BTW, since the app will not stay connected to the probe, to ensure that you don't overcook the meat, my Meater Thermometer probe worked so much better so I didn't need to keep running back outside to the smoker to check the temp. Just know, you'll need to buy one and it will ensure that you won't overcook but it still won't be contro

Cheaply built. I bought this smoker to replace my ten year old masterbuilt smoker. The word disappointed is best described how i feel. The over all build quality is garbage! The metal is extremely thin, it sounds hallow when you tap it as to where my old smoker sounds solid. I understand they are trying to keep the price down but man was a disappointment! the sad part it i was excited to get a new smoker. Not now!

Top of the line! I'm loving this smoker! Smoked a lot of deer sausage that turned out great! Now, just about every weekend it's pork ribs, chicken leg quarters, or pork chops. They always come out of the smoker perfectly cooked and flavored. Delicious. Thank you Masterbuilt!

Defective out of the box. During the initial seasoning process it took forever to get to temp. Per the manual, I reached out to Masterbuilt. They sent me a new module. It still took 2 hours to get to the set temp when I used it for the first time. I wanted 250 degrees, the only way to get that temp was to set it to 275. I returned it to Lowes. Too bad as I thought the design was spot on for the features.

Great smoker. I love this thing, super easy, super clean, so clean I actually use it indoors in my living room vented through a window, I love being able to use it all year & the taste is amazing, can’t even tell it’s electric

Great Smoker. I love these smokers this is my second one I had the first one for about 9 years

Great smoker. I've had my smoker almost two years. And i've cooked almost everything in it.Ribs pulled pork even pizza and everything that's turned out fantastic

Great Smoker. I've had this Smoker for quite a few years now and it does a really great job smoking anything Ive put in it. Its small enough in size and big enough to hold quite a bit of food to smoke. Very easy to use. Had the element go out once. Ordered a new one from Masterbuilt and within a week was back smoking again.

Works great! I actually just have the 40 inch smoker with no window and I love it! I've made some really tasty food in this thing! I started with the 30 inch and wanted to get bigger one to have more room for more ribs since my family love them so much! I have smoked 8 pork butts at once too for my sons graduation! I love these smokers! Pretty simple... they work great!

Coul be better. I replaced a previous 30" Masterbuilt but this does not have the temperature range of my previous one.

Great starter smoker. Bought this a few years ago, it has done me well as I'm an occasional smoker. Have done ribs, Pork Loin, pork butt and fish.

Wow, what a smoker! I normally smoke baby back ribs but I decided to smoke a prime rib. It was easy to do and we ended up with one magnificent prime rib.

This one makes about #8 over the years. I received my new 40MES today. I have run these smokers for about 25 years. When one begins to show signs of being done I order a backup. The one I received today was dented slightly on the bottom, cosmetic only. Everything else was nearly perfect. Some bolts took a little work to get started but it is all together and ready for seasoning. I have cooked for as many as 140 people at a time. It takes multiple cooks but they are all consistent. I will continue to use the 40" and the slow smoker as long as are still produced.

Great smoker easy to use. I love this smoker but we never could get the WiFi app to work to control it. Also the screen is very difficult to see. The smoking job it does is great. A bit disappointed the bells and whistles don’t whistle

This is the way to start. Being new to smoking, this is the perfect smoker to use. It heats up quickly and get as high as 275F. You can set it and forget it or you can be interactive, spraying your meat or what ever you need. I am still playing with flavors, wood and rubs. I’m using this every chance I get

It’s great to have this smoker. We are not new to smoking foods, but we are new to a smoker with temperature control, it makes smoking Nfoods simpler and it is awesome. Before we would smoke the meat then finish it in the oven or on the bbq. More time outside is always a bonus.

Great smoker, easy to use. I had recently had to put my 40 inch down🙁 was a great smoker. I loved it! Seen the 30 inch w/o the window and decided to get it. Used twice so far and just as good as the 40, great smoker! Purchased 2 of them- one for a friend

Great Product. I bought this a couple months ago and I am so happy I made this purchase. It arrived in just a couple days and was an easy put together. I smoked two Boston butts right away. They came out perfect. The wood chips I put in the tray smoked perfectly. I then did three bologna logs. You wanna talk about great. Each time I cook on this smoker I am even more pleased. It’s a must have to your man cave or garage!

Masterbuilt 40" vertical smoker. My first 40" vertical smoker lasted 15+ years. I got great service out of it. I bought a new 40" vertical from Academy sports and I was able to use it once. Afterwards, I would get a temp reading of 300°f just powering the box up and of course it wouldn't heat up because it thought it was already 300° ! I took that smoker back to Academy sports and ordered another masterbuilt 40" vertical smoker from Home depot. The smoker that I received from Home depot was shipped incorrectly and the bottom of the smoker was crushed from perhaps having something heavy on it during shipping that the grease pan was dented/ bent. I'm disappointed because my first masterbuilt smoker worked so well and lasted years. I bragged how i'd put my electric Masterbuilt up against any other smoker. I need a new Smoker box that I can depend on and having to send two new ones back, one after a single cook and the other damaged to the point of not even bothering to plug the power cord in. 😮‍💨

Great upgrade from my Wal Mart special. I got tired of constantly monitoring my old charcoal smoker and it never getting up to temp. I smoked my Thanksgiving Turkey and Christmas Ham and Prime Rib. No complaints.

Smoke your own sausage! My buddy and I smoked our own deer sausage - 3 times this past deer season, 20 lbs at a time. Delicious!!!! 2 /2 to 3 hours at 225 degrees. Life is good! Thank you Masterbuilt!

Smoking 1-2-3. We are enjoying our smoker and trying new recipes for it. We had the 30 and upgraded to the 40, very happy with the results.

Electric and I’m in Hog Heaven! My daughter gave me this wonderful Wi-Fi electric smoker for Christmas last year. Her late husband and I have always smoked Boston butts on a wood smoker, we considered electric smokers geekish,if that is a word, Lol. Anyway , smoking my first Boston butt, I am totally sold on the ease of operation and worry free experience. Thanks to my daughter and especially to you who develops better experiences for us non believers.

Easy to use. Wifi smoker operated by phone. Couldn't be easier.

Ease of use, consistency. This is my second vertical smoker from masterbuilt and would recommend to anyone who wants to get into smoking meats, excellent product and very useful even for the experienced when you learn how to use( I was a chef). Great product

Great entry level smoker and space saver! I bought this smoker for my shop to feed my crew, and we are astonished on how esay it is to operate and how good the food turned out. Can't wait to make ribs and brisket

Easy to Use. I bought my smoker in December 2024 and love it. I've smoked pretty much everything from cheese to pork, chicken and beef. All coming out perfect. The digital controls are very simple to use and easy to read. Just keep the window clean and you can see the progress of the food being smoked. I have to move my smoker away from the wall to use, so the wheels make it very easy to move around.

7 year old 30" Masterbuilt Electric still going st. Love my 30" Masterbuilt electric smoker that I purchased in 2019! This smoker has, and still does serve me very well but I would love winning an upgrade!

Work Horse. I'm not writing a review for a new smoker but a 10 year electric 40 inch smoker. This smoker has taken everything rain snow and general misuse by me and has never let me down. It sits outside with a cover over it 365 days. I'm amazed how tough this smoker is. It will be a sad day when it finally quits.

Outstanding Performance. I have had this smoker for about 8 years & it has never failed to performe. It is easy to use & the results from whatever I smoke are outstanding!

Fantastic smoker. It's 8 years old, used often, and still going strong!

Freaking love it. So I brought this smoker from a client in pretty much unused, brand new condition back in July of 2025, as a bday present to myself and it has been amazing. Being able to set and control it from my phone, even when im not at home is perfect. Easy to clean, very durable and generates a good amount of smoke. Definitely a great addition for anyone who loves to cook using a varity of methods. The only issue is the knob never worked for controlling the temperature but it hasn't been a big deal since I can still use my phone so I still give it 5stars.

My first electric smoker. Purchased 3 years ago ,and it makes smoking as easy as 123 ,great flavor to meat ,easy to use ,pretty much setup season food and walk away, the optional side chip box is a welcome for longer cooks ,this smoker even has the cell phone connect ,so your never really away from your smoker ,great smoker 100% must have

Set it and forget it! I have been waiting to write this review until I had used my smoker enough to make sure I could leave an honest and accurate review. I've had the smoker for about 5 months now, and I've used it countless times cooking a variety of food. From pork butts and briskets to Chex mix and eggs, this vertical smoker can smoke them all. I bought this smoker because I was looking for a smoker that I didn't have to babysit all day. Other than adding more wood chips occasionally, it's pretty much set and forget. I do recommend putting a thermometer in it the first couple times you use it, as the temp on mine does seem to run a few degrees hotter than the display says. Now I know to compensate for the different, and it holds the temp well without big fluctuations.

Smoker. I bought this in Nov and am happy with it. Used it to smoke so baby back ribs. Easy to use set time and temperature.

Ease of operation. I purchased my Masterbuilt upright smoker at Bass Pro Shops and have use many times since. Easy to operate, maintains desired temp, great end product

Love it. I bought this smoker 12 years ago.. it’s still works like a champ. It gives great tasting meat, I smoke all a year long. Winter doesn’t stop me.

Great smoker for the simple things. I received the smoker a couple years ago I use it very often it works great for my sasage and meat sticks the wifi works awesome

Game changer!! I was introduced to this smoker years ago via the Steve Harvey show.He raved about it.So I bought one and my life has never been the same! The set and forget function, along with the ability to turn off when it’s done is a pittmasters dream come true!I love this smoker and will recommend to anyone!

Holds Heat even in winter time(Texas). I liked the thick walls on the unit. I live in Texas and I have plugged this thing in 30-40 degrees a couple of times and cook a beer can chicken and I have done a brisket in it during that time. The bigger briskets. yes I had to cut in half but unit worked good. Summer time is a given, but to be able to cook in a Texas "winter" was a bonus. Wood chips are loaded from the side so you don't have to open up the unit and lose valuable heat. For someone that rather cook outside and want smoke flavor. well worth it.

Great for trusting time and temperature with out c. I’ve used this smoker for years and not once has anything not turned out just perfect taste and texture!

I love my Masterbuilt smoker. This is my second Masterbuilt smoker. I wore the first one out after 6 years of making mouthwatering smoked meats. I’ll be sure to buy another Masterbuilt smoker when this one is done. I always make extra and give some to friends and neighbors. They love me for it lol
