Masterbuilt 9007170394 – Analog Control with 6-foot Power cord

My Review for 9007170394 - Analog Control with 6-f. I bought it about a month ago. It isn't working, the smoker does not heat up past 150 degrees, even when the dial is on full.

Only as a backup. I bought the Analog Control about a month ago. There was noting wrong with the original except the colors faded from being outside. So, now I have a back up I have owned two Masterbuilt Analog smokers and would not trade them for anything (accept one of the newer bluetooth smokers ;)). I would still own two but I gave one to a very good friend so he could enjoy the pleasure of eating smoked meat and vegetables. Masterbuilt is an incredible product with incredible customer support.

Possibly broke my smoker. Hi, I reached out already through your website, to let you know that my new power cable broke off a piece of metal from the smoker, and now the heating element has no power. I asked if I could replace the heating element, and I would appreciate a response. It has two Phillips head screws, so it can't be an extremely complicated or expensive thing to fix. My house reminds me so much

Excellent replacement. This replaced the original thermostat that gave out done more smoking projects since I had the new thermostat. For now it beats having to replace the entire unit.

Perfect! I bought this to replace the controller that was in bad shape after I was given this grill from a friend that no longer wanted it. I don’t know what they did but it was melted and the control knob was gone. The replacement I ordered was a perfect fit and now my grill is operating again. Thanks Masterbuilt!

It melted. The new controller melted exactly like the original one. The only reason I reviewed this was because of this. The design has, supposedly, been discontinued. The company did assist me to my satisfaction in the end.

Works great! I bought this as a replacement for the original cord. It works as good as the original and food turns out just as well.

Works as advertised. Replaced my thermostat after leaving the unit in the rain while smoking......fell asleep on the couch.... After ruining the meat and tripping a breaker I realized I fried the thermostat as well. Replaced it hoping the smoker box still worked and it did. Tip from uncle Bill.... Don't fall asleep with a 50% chance of thunderstorms!!!

Sorry we purchased. I usually don’t review my purchases but since you have asked twice that I review this items I will. During the second time using the cord it shortened out. The smoker is going to be trashed. We are going to purchase a different brand for sure!

smoker. Not too happy with this smoker as the first power cord burned up and so I order a new one. The first time I use the new cord, the element breaks. Trying to order the new element but it is out of stock. Have only had this smoker for 1 year. Not happy at all with it.

Sad customer ser. I ordered the thermostat at the end of December and got no response. There is no way to call the company and speak with a person. After registering again, again with no response trying to find out about the part, I finally ordered on faith. Again I took a while to see if the order ever went through. I finally got an email addressing the first issue and when I didn't respond immediately I got a second, rather terse email saying if I did not respond at once the case would be dropped. Not sure i will purchase any more from this company.

Quicker than expected delivery. It was a lot cheaper to go thru Masterbuilt than most other dealers that were twice as expensive plus shipping costs. Thanks Masterbuilt for having an easy to navigate and order from website...

Analog control. Not sure if this fixed the problem. My smoker will now heat up over 200 but not sure if it will hold that temp since I have not tried to smoke anything that will take longer than the 20 minutes that I tested the new controller. Still not happy that I had to buy this to trouble shoot my problem. My smoker is only 3 months old. Could not contact anyone at Masterbuilt to discuss my warranty or the issue, they don’t answer the phone and there is no option to leave a message! It also takes some work to track down which part you need, the diagram in the back of the manual just says what it is but not the part number! If this doesn’t fix the issue the only option is to buy the heating element and every time I look it’s out of stock. I shouldn’t have to buy it either since it should be covered under warranty! Terrible customer service.

Failed to repair. Have used this smoker for Jess than one year. Loved the way it worked until it didn’t. Manual said replacing the contr unit would repair. It did not. We feel the smoker should have lasted longer and are very disappointed that we are unable to use anymore.

My purchase. I did purchase the power cord in hopes of the burner coming with it but when I noticed I didn’t get the burner I returned the product and still haven’t received my refund. I was able to get my burner fixed & the product has been great for me.

Poor quality construction. Overall, the quality of your product is poor. After three uses, the paint began to peel around the top of the door. I was told the warranthy did not cover a rreplacement and all I could get was a $25 check as compensation and was told to pint the door with a heat resistant paint. Then the analog control didn't work as one of the pins got pushed inside the recepticle. I returned the brtoken one and asked for a replacment and have NEVER hear back from you. I had to purchase a new one just to ber able to use the smoker. The least you could do is refund to me the cost of the broken controller I had to purvhase which I assume musst be covered by the warranty.

It wasn't the power cord. My smoker stopped working, thought out was the power cord. It wasn't. Ok guess it's the heating element. Wanted to send it back but the return instructions aren't very clear. So I guess I'm out 40 bucks and a well seasoned smoker.

Replacement plug. Dog chewed my last plug. It was great that I could get a replacement and not have to buy an entire new system.

Almost Perfect. I purchased this item a couple of months ago and it has worked perfectly! The only problem I encountered was getting it to secure to the Smoker snugly. A couple of Jury rigs for a tight fit and I was off and running! I recommend the item highly, just make sure YOU know your dimensions exactly before you purchase.Don't guess, that's on YOU, not them.

Cord. It’s burnt up in the middle of us using it the first time in the middle of trying to cook a pork butt. Now the heating element is bad which caused it to burn up on the first use and there aren’t any elements to order.

Burnt the power cord. The power cord burnt up 5 minutes after plugging it in. At least the first one lasted almost 2 years.

Analog controller. Got my smoker as a gift, knowing it needed the controller, now its complete.

Hopefully lasts longer than original... This replacement is working fine so far. I had to replace my original after only a year of use... hoping this lasts longer. Seems like a lot to pay in relation to the total cost of the smoker.

Obviously not a great product. I’m replacing the power cord and the heating element after 15 months of use so this product is obviously inferior.

Fixed my problem. I am pleased with my purchase and it my problem with the smoker not reaching internal temp over 200 degrees.
