Jackery [Add-on] SolarSaga 200W

Solar Saga review. The two 200 watt solar panels got me through 14 and 1/2 days with no electricity in Northwest Indiana. They did the job of running my frig if I had enough Sun. Another 400 watts would fix this problem. Also I wish it came with longer cords so I could keep the batteries in my basement rather than outside. If you need to keep moving the panels in order to follow the Sun the stands on the back of the panel can be a pain. I also thought the solar panels were a little expensive.

Havent used it yet but I’m very happy with my purchase.

I have been using 2 of the solarsaga 200W solar panels and running test.I will note that there was a lot of smoke due to fires so test wasn't ideal but this is a real world test that you may encounter as well. I set up 2 solar panels and found it can only produce around 150 watts when the sun is at zenith. I started the test when the sun was at least 30 degrees above the horizon. I laid one solar panel flat while the other was set at an angle using the dot indicator on the solar panel. I will note that many factors may cause the panels not producing a full 200 watts, Your Altitude above sea level, the suns altitude above the horizon, Humidity. Smoke from fires. All these things can greatly affect the solar panels from producing max power. Just because the sun is shining doesn’t mean it will achieve maximum wattage from the solar panels. The lower the sun is, the more the photons are scattering through the atmosphere. The higher the sun is above the horizon, the better the performance for the solar panel. When the sun is low the photos must travel 2000 miles through the atmosphere before they hit the panel. When the sun is at zenith the photons only must travel about 10 miles through the atmosphere. Big difference. Here are the following tests: Altitude 30 degrees, Humidity 71% Solar Panel lying flat 63 W Solar Panel angled to sun 71 W Altitude 45 degrees, Humidity 72% Solar Panel lying flat 98 W Solar Panel angled to sun 111 W 1 hour before transit, Humidity 59%, suns solar rays 1008 W/M² (watts per square meter) Solar Panel lying flat 133 W Solar Panel angled to sun 147 W Transit (zenith), Humidity 56%, suns solar rays 1011 W/M² Solar Panel lying flat 137 W Solar Panel angled to sun 150 W 1 hour after transit, Humidity 56%, suns solar rays 1011 W/M² Solar Panel lying flat 137 W Solar Panel angled to sun 150 W *** On August 17,2026 rain had passed through and cleaned out the dust and smoke in the atmosphere skies cleared and I was able to get 190 Watts max 1 hour after transit. Solar rays was registering 1166 W/M² ***

We just used this for the first time camping, and it put out a good 175-180w when we had it positioned well. The shadow positioning tool is clever! We charged our 1000w Jackery from <75% to 100% within just a couple of hours. Excellent purchase!

I am happy with my decision to purchase a power station and solar panels from Jackery. Not only was it on sale, the system performs exactly as I hoped.

I am generally happy with system. A suggestion however would be to let folks know you need more panels to not only charge system but to operate daily use of appliances. I had to purchase an additional 4 panels to charge battery enough for battery to last over night. This for an off-grid system. Also, that a gas generator does not always work for the battery charge. My gas generator evidently does not have "clean" power. Maybe some options how to charge battery without AC utility power supply.

Exactly what I needed to plug in more portable panels.

Readjusted multiple times with little to no input increase. Wattage went down and continued to plummet the longer I had it plugged in (about 1hr). Used with jackery power bank.

Easy set-up, easy take-down and storage, weather-proof (already have had 3 passing t-storms rain on it with no problems), and I was pleased with how well even the low power charge kept our Jackery unit up against the loads of 2 hotplates, 2 crockpots, a fan, TV and speakers for our 7-hour farmer's market events. It's a definite help and well constructed.

It probably won’t be that helpful if there is a power outage because I will need to replace more power than it by itself can put out. Even in a very sunny spot, it’s only delivering about 135 watts per hour.

I have only used them once so far. In the good AZ sun it did a great job charging. I do not care for the elastic kick stands. It is difficult to place the kick stand without it bouncing back.

Solar panel will be used in a emergency, hope it works if I ever need it.

So far it's charging much quicker. I'm very pleased.

Worked as promised

I have a new Jackery Explorer 2000. I needed an extension cable. I was told to order the DC extension cable. I found it confusing using the cable to get to the 8020 end that goes in the 2000. Should at least say original vable gets connected first. May be color code??

Im really happy with my three solar generators

1000V2, 300, and 200 watt solar panels power my camping needs. No problem keeping my camp refrigerator going for weeks. Good stuff that works!

We've only used it once, but it seems to be working well.

Haven't tried the solar panels yet but they look well designed and easy to set ip.

Update. I had a question regarding whether I can use the 16 foot extension cable to charge my 2 solar panels at the same time and have not heard back from Jackery.

We like the solar saga 200 watt panels we wish there was an elastic strap that would be flat against the ground so we could place a brick on it to keep the panels from blowing over. If the winds get around 15 mph or higher the panels fall over and get scratched by rocks on the ground.

200w panels. Love my new panels! Super easy to use, connected to the other two with no issues. Again, superb quality that is the Jackery norm.

My first experience using solar power, I must admit I am impressed. The 200w solar panel kept my Jackery 1000v2 as well as my small camp trailer battery (Lipo4 100ah) charged for my 10 day trip through the Southwest in January. At the Grand Canyon I was able to get 200w-208w readings out of just 1, 200w panel. A second panel is in my future plans. Highly recommended products!

It’s not imputing any charge! I’ve tried it once, blamed it on the weather. Second time there was no excuse. I tried to troubleshoot with no luck

I love my jackery, I use it everyday on things and also things i cant plug into directly into my cousins camper. I am saving to buy my own van or a camper soon to use my jackery more often. I will be buying more especailly if you guys have ones I can fit in my backpack or purse for smaller devices in an emergency

Added with my 100w panel I can actually charge in a reasonable amount of time.

Amazing product at an incredible price! I have to have been stupid not to buy it. It’s my second panel for my Jackery Explorer v2 and maxes out my solar at 400w for this particular solar generator. Performance is awesome!

The 200W solar panel works but I did not realize a 200 watt solar panel would charge so slowly. The construction is very thin and not easy to set up.

The panels work well. I want to build a lazy susan type mount to make it easier to keep them pointed at the sun.

Works great, easy to align the target dot with the sun to get the best angle. 1 panel can charge my explorer 200 half way in the winter sun. Thinking of getting a second in case I ever need to use a full load.

Ordered a Jackery 1000 with a SolarSaga 200W along with a second SolarSaga 200W. Seems the 200W panels were shipped separately and of two different revision levels. While they both work great one has two supporting braces while the other has three. Would be nice if they matched. Still very satisfied with performance.

So Far. Bought the 3000 with solar. Product arrived in timely manner in good condition. Generator arrived with 28% power and charged off house power in less than 2 hours as advertised. Did a 4 hour test on side by side fridge freezer, then recharged and did 4 hour test on starlink, 60” tv and roku. The math says I will get 20+ hours on fridge and 10+ hours on tv, perfectly acceptable. Have not tried charging on solar. I understand the reasoning on the folding solar panels, but find them difficult to setup to receive full sun. The braces used to adjust angle will not hold up. I have built a wood panel that stretches them out straight with solid angle adjustment brackets. For shipping and storage the folding panels are ideal. If generator holds up for 10 years without breaking , than money well spent!

Absolutely a complete package for charging my Cybertruck and operating our Airstream Basecamp 20X with the Explorer 2000 solar charger and 6 200 watt panels!!

The 200 watt works so much better than two 100 W screens the only issue I have is that it is not sturdy on just two legs it needs three legs one needs to be in the middle because the Concurve from non support makes the solar panel not as effective. When I supported the middle so that it was flat all crossed all four panels then I got over 200 Watts from the sunshine the highest I reading I had was 208 w. This is an issue that needs to be addressed by Jackery, but can be adjusted by the purchaser.

Two of the SolarSaga 200w charged up our 2000 in an partly cloudy afternoon. Absolutely performing as advertised!

Exactly as advertised. In convenient bag for storage. Folds out quickly. One test with two, recharged the 3000 pro while running the refrigerator and TV for 9 hours. Highly recommend.

I purchased two Jackery Solarsaga 200w panels to add to my Explorer 1500 with two 100w solar panels which I had purchased last year. What a Great addition. More power with less wait to chrarge.
