C-star Brake Pads.. Arrived ahead of schedule. I had chatted with an associate and I asked about the magnet that got crushed and is no longer usable. She said that the brake pads are magnetic and I would not need the magnet to hold the pad in place. After installation of both sets, the front brakes, that was missing the magnet, vibrates and squeaks while I ride. The squeaking stops when I press the brake, than continues when I release the brake. I believe that the brake pads are not magnetic and the pad is just bouncing around in its carriage rubbing against the disk. I see not part number for the magnet, and I cannot find any magnet small enough to fit where the damaged magnet was. As far as the brake pads, they fit and work fine. Thank you

Ecotric Dolphin brake pads. Arrived quickly! I checked with the store I purchased my bike from and another big bike shop but they had never seen such a thing. The magnetic hold had them mesmerized! I changed them with no problems in about 15 minutes. We had just returned from a month at the beach so a little cleaning was in order as part of the repair

Fits but slightly different. Original pads have a small tang or boss to stop the pad from rotating as it is applied. This does not. It works fine

CSTAR brake pads. I may have replaced rear pads prematurely. I ran out of adjustment and had no rear stopping power. did not want to risk metal on metal so I went in. The old pads had way over half the friction material the new ones have. ( 500 miles on the bike now). I use the rear brakes the most, saving the fronts for if "that day" ever comes. It is really easy to pull the calipers to inspect the pads I now know. But I am really glad I had the new ones here to use as a reference. will keep the used ones as "spares"

Work for Dolphin

GIMME A BRAKE. I was under the wrong impression that a set of brake pads ($15US for my Vortex) would be for both front and rear disks. It's not, and that is totally fine. I ordered a second pair and happily I was able to replace/ install in less than an hour. Now that I've done it once, it won't take that long next time. Today, Ecotric is out of stock, hopefully only temporarily. I'll reorder early so I'll have them when I need them
