Char-Griller ASHDRAWERW/ LIP – SFB

Great ash tray to extend the life of a great grill. My ash tray had rusted through after many years. I use this at home and it travels with me on camp outs also. The replacement fit perfect.

Ash drawer. Arrived quick and in great condition. Packaged well.

Smoking again! I need to replace the side fire box drawer. We’ve had the grill eight years. I’ve always been able to get parts for it. Put it in and smoked a ham from a wild boar turned out great.

Fire Box Ashdrawer like original and well-constructed. Only complaint was the shipping cost adding to cost.

Quick shipping for a replacement part. I've been cooking on my Char-griller offset smoker quite a bit over the holidays...the purchase was a very good value. It's heavily-built and should last a long time with some reasonable care. The spare ash drawer was delivered fairly quick, and was in good shape when it arrived. That said, I am having some issues with not enough paint on the firebox lid and top to prevent rust...rust is starting to form on about 1/4 of the top of the offset firebox. I would like Char-griller to offer advise and some sort of remediation that I can do. It's currently a minor issue, but as we know it won't stay minor if not addressed. Best regards, Dave Sisk

Great product. It is great that you provide parts for replacement instead of people having to througt the grill and buy a new one.

Poor handling of shipping problem-refund. The problem is their customer service on shipping issue. The items were never delivered. Customer service told me that the delivery was "refused" and the items were returned to them, but no delivery attempt was actually made, much less refused. Two people were home all day, and I was working in the front of the house most of the day. Despite this, when the refund was issued, my shipping cost was not refunded.

Excellent replacement. Great fit for replacing the damaged part we had. Transferred the existing handle to the new one.

Replacement. I rated a 3 because it doesn’t come with a handle or an air regulator as these are sold separately unfortunately

Never received my order . Has been over 3 weeks. Customer service does not respond. Feels like I got scammed

Cook on. It’s been a good grill! Just getting old and I have burnt the bottom out of it rust and time

Smoke box Ash drawer. New Astro fit perfectly. Astro should just come with the rotating vent included.

Replacement Ash Drawer... Item does not fit properly as expected...Ash drawer replacement leaves a significantly sized air gap between vent piece and side of drum. It works but don't control heat due to leakage even with vents mostly closed.

Drawer too small. The drawer is 1/4 in. too small. Drawer does not seal at the top.

Smooth process. Great quality, extra hardware included. Protective packaging, easy transaction!

Ash drawer and damper. I thought the ash drawer came with the wire rack. It looked like it did on the website. I received the drawer in a timely manner and discovered that it did not have the wire rack or damper. I will have to order those separately.

Finally! We were so happy to find this. Our griller is like new! Shipping was slow, but company kept in touch.

Inclusion. include all parts for a higher price + lower shipping

Perfect fit, but... I would have liked to see all new hardware included with the ashdrawer but you will have to swap out some things like the handle and the air gate over from your old one.

Ash Drawer. Just what I ordered . FAST delivery .. first time I had to order a part after 8 years , says a lot about the grill

Ash drawer was a perfect replacement fit and a good price.

I would buy this product again. My old ash drawer was rusted out and needed a new one and this one is just the ticket

Slight flaw. My only complaint is that the drawer swells up after using and you can't pull the drawer back out when hot.

Replacement Tray. My old tray had rusted out, so I was happy to be able to replace it.

Thumbs up to replacement parts. Wow, restored used rusted grill 1515 to showroom condition. Just the look of the grill makes the food taste better.

I would purchase this again. This is the first time replacing the ashpan. I've had this smoker for nearly 25 years, so I'm more than pleased with the longevity.

Could be better. Didn't fit as well as original one. Serviceable but some gaps.

I would definitely buy another when needed. An exact replacement for the original that rusted through,

Nice Quality and Nice Price! This is a definite improvement over my old rusted out part. The price is excellent and great quality product.

Doesn't fit. Emailed customer service about replacement part. Was told to order this. It doesn't fit.

Correct replacement from original ash drawer. Great replacement for the original ash drawer fitment was correct.

New ashdrawer keeps our Char- griller going! The ashdrawer works great. Fit right in and fired it up once before actually cooking with it and everything came out tasty so our Char- griller was working in time for our Easter grilling!

Best Grills with Support to Match! Needed a new ashdrawer for my 2018 E1515, and it was perfect! Thanks to Leah, who, on the phone, asked me to measure the drawer opening so that we could make sure the 2019 redesign from 7" to 6.5" would be okay. That was huge, as I did not want one that would not fit.

I would definitely buy this again. The ashdrawer on my tabletop grill had deteriorated to the point I figured I would just throw the grill away. However, I was able to find the replacement here at a very good price and restore the usefulness of my grill. I was pleasantly surprised with it being available at such a reasonable price AND that it shipped so quickly. Thanks!

Replacement ash drawer. Actually fit a little better than the original. Ordering was simple, delivery was quick. Can't ask for much more than that!

i would. use as designed. functional, easier to empty ash. preserves life of cook chamber. I keep chamber in good condition, periodic wirebrush/navel jelly cleaning/heat resistant paint. So this is second ashpan purchase. First purchase, fully complemented: handle; variable vent. This purchase, had to rescue old hardware to install missing mentioned components.

Yes. Great part, works great and fits fine. Have 3 grills, and now I have 2 more that are back to perfect.

Not a whole unit. You need to buy the handle and damper separately. I lost the ash pan while moving. I wish the customer service person who helped me find the order number for the ash pan had told me this. The handle and damper are out of stock. Siiigghhh!

Love our Chargriller!! Great replacement, couldn't come at a better time as the original was really rusting through! Very Happy when we didn't have to do any modifications as we were told it was a slightly different than the original.

A++ no complaints. Perfect fit. They even included new screws to attach damper and handle. Thx for the fast shipping!!

Great cooker! Fits a small grill we use frequently; love it! Well-built and cooks great!

Replacement drawer. Good products fixed my pit alot cheaper than buying a new pit .

I would but this grill again. It was easy to order and quikly arrived. Its a great grill.

Yes, I would buy the product again. There was a slight dent on the black part of the tray, but I can live with. Can't wait to do some queing on my little grill. It's the 3rd or 4th tray I have bought. The first one I replaced, I had a friend welder repair. Then I found out I could order one directly from Chargriller. I've had my little grill for about 12 years and have cooked on it hundreds of times. Perfect for a single or a small group gookout.

Good Purchase. Great replacement drawer, comes with new hardware, so when you take the handle off the old one you dont have to reuse the old. And in case your curious, even though it looks silver on outside... it does have the black coating on outside to match grill. :)

Yes would purchase again. This is my second one purchased, but have 2 grills, am so glad you offer it!

Perfect fit. Super glad I ordered it it works perfect great fit.

Hopefully better. Hopefully this holds up and the welds don't break. Not a very good design. Welds are poor to begin with and we're broken before the first fire. The welds aren't strong enough to hold up to the pulling from the side. I think a flap on a hinge would work better and that maybe the retrofit fix. I bought 2 so it doesn't break and strand me during a smoke.

The replacement is better made than the original. This replacement ashdrawer is better than the one that came on the new grill. WHY????

Doesn't fit older smokers. This doesn't fit older models. Chargriller must not expect these smokers to last over two years. Mine is about 15 years old and just the insert wore out. I also had to adjust the guides to get this to fit properly. Overall, disappointed.

Yes I would buy this again. I was so glad to see that I could buy the drawer. We love our little grill. The drawer was so easy to replace.

Ash pan replacement. Great product very quality built enjoy cooking with my char griller.

Doesn't fit older models. Unfortunately, this drawer does not fit older fire boxes with a 7" opening. When the drawer is inserted, it leaves a significant gap at the top. I will have to fabricate an extra piece of sheet metal to compensate, because this is the only replacement drawer Char Griller offers. It's a fine product otherwise. So the 1* rating I gave it won't apply to most people.

Fits Older Grills Too. Bought this for my father-inlaw to replace and old rusted out ash drawer. Fit perfectly!

Have to buy this; no choice when the old ones rust out. My CharGriller is about 12 years old. They've since re-designed the side smoker and the new pan dimensions are slightly different, so this replacement ash tray has a small gap when fully inserted. Disappointing that they changed things.

Ash pan. The lip left too much of a gap at the top of the drawer. Let's too much air in. It fits great otherwise.

Perfect Fit! Fit perfectly. Brand new. Only thing is that you have to buy the damper and handle separately. Otherwise great!!!

Good quality product. Good quality my previous one lasted almost two years. I usually use the firebox 6-8 times a month so I feel that is acceptable

WRONG SIZE NOW FIXED. REPLACED WRONG ASH DRAWER THAT WAS THE WAY IT CAME FROM FROM THE PURCHASE. WORKS PERFECT NOW.

Direct Replacement Part, As Described. Replacement for items lost while transporting grill #1624 on a utility trailer during a 100-miles move.

I wouldn't buy this again. We got it when we should have we bought this one because it said it was for our model when we put it on ours there was a big gap at the top where there shouldn't be. Also when it came it was very sticky like it was painted and not let dry all the way. Kinda disappointed.

Very Satisfied Customer. Lost This Piece On The Way Home From Buying My Grill Brand New From Home Depot...Went Online To Char Griller,And Had All 3 Lost Parts At My Door Within A Week And A Half...Very Satisfied,Everything Fit As It Should

I will continue to purchase Char-Griller products. I use this product for smoking ribs and turkeys. I received my replacement parts very quickly and packaged nicely. The only thing that I assumed would have come along with the ash drawer, was a new handle as well. I took the rusty handle off of the old ash drawer and installed it on the new one. The nuts and the washer came for the handle, but not the handle itself. I love the smoker and use it frequently. I prefer wood and charcoal over gas. The flavor is much better.

Excellent Experience. Fits grill perfectly. Super fast delivery of order.

I will NEED to purchase this tray again. Your service was very prompt on shipping the new items ordered. I was just surprised at having to replace the items so soon after purchasing your unit. Definitely a weak link in your unit, to have a tissue thin metal try for the charcoal ash. Cheers, but you asked.

make old grill new. made old grill new. didn't come with the instrument to pull it from the grill

Happy Cooker. Works great. Brought life back to my smoke box. Quick delivery as well.

We love our griller! My wife and I love our little griller, that we've had a number of years, and how its just the right size for preparing meals for just the two of us, making use of very little charcoal to do smaller meals making it very efficient. We have replaced the ash drawer twice, but the rest of the grill is still in very good shape, so it keeps on going and going. Most grillers are of the throw away type, but not this one. We plan to keep our griller for a very long time since replacement parts are easy to get and very affordable.

Ashdrawer For Smoker Needs Small Improvement. First thing is I have used and enjoyed your products for years. I purchased the Ashdrawer for the smoker and placed it in my grill, upon pulling it out to be sure it was working properly the 1st spot weld on the left side broke which was very disappointing. the same exact thing happened to the Ashdrawer on this grill when I purchased it several years ago. I will continue to use your products but please increase the amount or the size of the spot welds on the Ashdrawer. Thanks, T. Boyd

I love my grill. I have had my grill for a couple years.. I love the fact I can get parts, I abuse my grill a bit because it is stored outside.. I needed a new ash pan.. Only took 5 business days to arrive.. Ordered on a Friday afternoon had it the following Friday before noon.. What a great company! Keep up the great work guys!

Great price. I gave my Texas Trio to my daughter because it didn't fit my needs. But I had to replace the ash drawer because of one of the modifications I made. I like the fact that it's built with heavy gauge steel.

Grate product. my old one had rotted out and this new one fits and works very will. thank you.

Could be improved. I bought this as a replacement for my existing ash drawer which rusted away. The product needs to be made out of stainless steel. That would create added durability.

I will continue to buy Char-Grillers and any replacements. We love our Char-Griller and use it often. Our charcoal drawer rusted from constant use even though it is kept covered. I ordered a new drawer and received it promptly. Great customer service!

NO. Disappointed that the ash drawer was not the same height as the original drawer there was a 1/4" gap at the top. Your part description stated it would fit Model 1515, the drawer slid in fine but as stated the height was 1/4" short of the top of the drawer.

It was okay. I was so excited to see that i could order a replacement ash drawer; that is just one more reason this grill design is great. Unfortunately, despite grinding and preparing the grill for the new drawer, it was a little snug, and the little tack welds weren't enough, and half of them snapped when i tried to pull it back out, even though i was trying to be careful, since i noticed it was not a solid weld.

Great product week late on delivery. I took one star away for the poor delivery time. However the product fits and works perfectly.

Very nice. Lot better than the original. Bought the pit a couple of weeks before ordering this and it had cracked at all of the welds. This one looks a lot better made.

Doesn't fit older Char Grillers. Doesn't fit real well. I have to beat on it with a hammer.

Absolutely. The last product needed to add to my "triple threat" grill... thanks!

kind of fits. original ash pan lasted almost 15 years so of course replacing or new was the question. Box itself is good so went with the replacement pan. While it fits, the lip made a horrible gap so had to pull and hammer it up. Instead of welding all the way they have 5 spots that 2 easily came loose as I was doing the lip. Still not as flush but it works. Wish it came with everything for the price and time it took to even get it.

Yes I would. One of the great things I have liked about my Char-Griller over the years is the ability to replace parts without replacing the entire grill. I have replace several parts on my smoker and all the parts have just given my griller more life. I love my smoker so much that I completely refinished it last year (new paint, new handles, new grates) and it looks like a new product. I recently had to replace the ash drawer on the smoker and it is now cooking every weekend for my family.

I would buy this again. I use this for smoking meats, etc. It was easy to assemble and all questions I had were answered on line.

Great customer service. We have an older model griller and the original part was NLA. After talking on the phone to your service Representative she found us a replacement part that would work on our model Thank you for your great help.

Pretty satisfied. My model smoker doesn't take the lip but a little hammer work flattening it out made the pan fit a little better. Not a perfect fit but it'll keep me smokin' for a few more years.

Char-Griller ROCKS! This pan fit perfect. Used it the day it arrived. Thank you Char-Griller for having spare parts available. Many manufactures do not provide this service.

Spot on. Fits better than the original on. Perfect and spot on.

Tray is decent but missing a handle. My order wasn't shipped until after a couple days after placing my order. After receiving the part, it has holes for a handle but no handle. It should have been more apparent that the handle isn't included.

Replacement for burned out rusted ashdrawer. I own two Chargriller smokers with the side firebox. The Chargriller is a fantastic product but the ashdrawers are junk and burn out after only a few seasons. Can't you make these out of a little heavier gage steel?

Yes. Everything was great refurbished my old grill an with new parts an ordering easy shipping was fast thx you

much needed. Great for side fore box. Comes with new screws to attach the old damper and handle fron your old unit.

NOT for older free standing side fire box. I talked with support before ordering. This ash drawer does not fit my older side fire box. I was hoping to keep using my trusty (rusty) chargriller grill, but it looks like I'll have to do something different.

As good as the original. Same as the original which has served well for over five years

Great quality! I've had my duo for over 8 years and I'm just now replacing this, I use my smoker a lot! Awesome products here and great customer service!

Wonerful. The most wonderful replacement part I could have hoped for.
