Appreciate availability of replacement parts. Exactly what I needed to get my ACORN working properly. Part fit perfectly.

Do Better Char-Griller. I will probably never purchase a Char-Griller product again. The first grill I purchased in 2023 had a defective part. It took forever to get the replacement part in which rendered my grill useless. Then, I decide this year (2024) to purchase another part in case my initial defective part malfunctioned. I ordered the part over a month ago, I still have not received my order. And, I get this email from Char-Griller to review/discuss my latest purchase. Well, here's your review. Very disappointed.

Terrible Service & Damaged Part!!!! Let’s just say the total experience was awful at the very best. Order the part when I received the package it looked like it had been through a War Zone. The box had been retaped several times adding insult to the problem it was $14.99 for shipping. I opened the destroyed retaped box to see the part was damaged on both sides. I emailed your customer service department at least 6 times no response what so ever. Now you want a review well it isn’t happening. Someone needs to email me back or something!!!!

Stay Away From This Company. The ash container works great and arrived undamaged. The replacement grill grate arrived shattered. Never heard back at all from Char Griller despite contacting them several times. I would NEVER consider EVER buying anything from them again!

Long turn around time for delivery. took a long long time to arrive and had to ping you all but did finally get it.

Poor shipping preparation. I would have given a higher rating but when the product arrived, the shipping box was trashed. The product was fine. The product had no bubble wrap or some way to keep the product from moving around in the box during shipping. That movement damaged the sides of the box. If it was longer trip the box would have opened. Poor shipping preparation.

I can grill again! After many faithful years of service my ash pan was showing it age/rust. The replacement part came in on time and fits like a glove. Just waiting for the rain to stop and the grilling can begin again. Long live charcoal grilling!

If you need parts, just buy another grill. It's an ash pan. Wasn't even the primary reason for the order, yet it was the first thing to arrive after waiting almost a month for this order. The pan will certainly do what it is supposed to do, I'll find out it and when the rest of the order arrives. Terrible company to do business with. Never again.

Ashpan kit for my Acorn. I received the part I needed in a timely manner and it worked as intended.

Acorn grill is only choice for me. Acorn grill is best grill I have ever purchased. Only different one I would even consider purchasing would be the Acorn ceramic grill, jury is still out on that though.

Great Product - with a Few Recommendations!!!!! Ashpan fit perfect and you all have a great product. Two improvements I would recommend: 1. larger bolts holding top dome to bottom half needed as the smaller ones pull out over time. 2. Use a thermostat that can be recalibrated. The one you all use has to be replaced if it gets out of calibration as it cannot be readjusted.

Yes. Have always loved my AKORN! After all these years, I'm still learning new smoking grilling tricks. As one knows, parts wear out with age. So far, the ones I've needed have been great as replacements.

Great replacement part. So this replaces the only part that has rusted on my grill. I am back as good as new with temperature regulation. It would have been nice to get the burgundy red color to match my grill, but, it is pretty much out of sight anyway.

I would buy again. Fits and works great just wish I could have got blue instead of black to match my pit.

Great product. Ash pan arrived timely, and fit my old akorn perfectly. I've had my akorn for around 6 years and it's still my favorite charcoal grill/smoker.

Repair ot replace. The Ash pan was rusting after eight years of year around use. Was looking at new grills. Went on your website and found I could just order a new ash pan. Rest of the grill is still in great shape I do recommend this grill to all my friends

Rebuild an aged Akorn. Rejuvenated an old Akorn thrown out after the original ash pan rusted. Love that these units can be put back in service with just a little TLC and a 1 minute job clamping a new pan in place. I'm glad the gaskets are available, but for now the 10-year-old ones are still sealing fine. Love my "new" Akorn!

Time to replace parts. Great to get a replacement part and see the redesign of the upper lip to be power coated, looks like the full lip will slow down the rust out that we experienced with the original grill. Now seeing other pieces that need replacement and have them ordered. I wonder, is the sum of the parts greater than the cost of a new unit!!!

Happy they sell parts! replacement ash pan worked great! my grill is as good as new now! beats buying a whole new one for sure!

Perfect fit replacement. After nearly a dozen years, I had to replace the ash pan and it appears to be a perfect fit replacement. Looking forward to many more years of grilling and slow cook smoking.

I would buy this product again. I use my Acorn to smoke meats. It is a good product and a good value

I would buy this piece again out of necessity. The ash pan is what it is, an ash pan. It does seal the bottom of the Akorn. It retains the same design so I expect that it will rust out again in a few years, despite the grill being covered when not in use. I don't understand why certain pieces are not made with stainless steel. (Built-in obsolescence?) I was delighted to see that the product was delivered in just a few days

I would buy again. I feel the original was manufactured to only last for a short time, especially in outdoor weather. I kept my covered after use but the original rusted out around the top edge of the pan. The replacement pan was manufactured so it would not rust as the porcelain covers the metal outside edge. Smart thinking but would have been nice to receive a discount as I felt this was a flaw in the grill. Anyways, Kudos to Chargriller for correcting this on the replacement pan. Now, what about the cracks in the cast iron grill?

It's better than buying a new grill. It doesn't fit as well as the original one and it leaks smoke.....

Love ability to replace parts as needed. Replacement pan fit perfectly and increased grill performance by 50% controlling the air leakage. Nice to be able to replace these parts!

Obviously damaged before shipping! The ashpan was obviously damaged before it was shipped. The box was in pristine condition when it arrived. The downward bend didn't prevent sealing, so I didn't return it. However, when the bottom finishes rusting through, I won't bother replacing it. There are better alternatives on the market.

I would repurchase as needed. I will replace the ashpan that is roting so now I am able to discard the original one as I deem necessary.

Good ashpan, poor packaging. The ashpan itself was a perfect replacement for the rusted-out piece in my grill. The packaging, though, was inadequate. My new pan arrived with a dent in the bottom. :(

Finally!! So glad we finally got this part we needed! Now my husband is grilling on the Acorn again, along with his other grilles. The Acorn is a tough, very well made grilled. Cooks great! We love it.

Old one rusted. Mine rusted out along with the mating surface on the bottom half. Replaced both and it's like new again.

Beating Rust. It works perfectly. My original rusted out. I hope the rest of the grill doesn't rust away too soon!

Falls off. Clips will not stay engaged. The ash pan won't stay in place..The new ones have. A lip on the outer edge. You can't purchase flat edge anymore, even though it appears on their web site.

Came in damaged. Came in with the lips bent down with deep gouges. Looked like someone used it as a hockey puck on concrete before it was put into the box. I was able to straighten them somewhat and paint.

Great product but make it more durable please. Glad Chargriller offers basically all parts for it's grills. You can rebuild one from the ground up of needed. Time between ordering and shipping could improve, though. It takes several days to ship it put. To say nothing about having to rebuild it due to rust in the first place. I love my Akorn Kamado grill but I wish they would build it more robust and rust resistant.

Exact replacement. Old one was rusted out due to previous owner not covering grill in inclement weather.

Another Damaged Part. Despite the other reviews I ordered this part as the original ash pan has rusted out at the top. This one arrived and despite the bubble wrap around it it is badly dented around the edge and the center pin which it hangs on is pushed down below the level of the rim and the rivets are nearly pulled out of the sides. Was it run over with a fork truck? All of the bubble wrap was fine and the box was not damaged.

Exact Replacement. See the earlier review by Akorn Fan. My part also appears to have been dropped on a cement floor prior to shipping. Metal is bent and paint is damaged. I am going to try to get by by cleaning up the damage and spraying the damage area with new paint. As with the prior reviewer, I am hopeful that no premature rust appears. Otherwise I am happy with the part, the packaging and the speed in which it was shipped.

Fits my black Akorn nicely and looks like the original. Old part rusted out around the top where it seals to the bottom so I ordered this as a replacement. Only reason for four stars was even though it arrived with no damage to the shipping box, the part looked like it had been dropped prior to shipping. There were a couple of dings around the metal top ring causing the black paint to chip off. Hopefully it doesn't make it more susceptible to rust.

Replacement. Part was exactly what I needed and was delivered promptly so my grill wasn't down long!
