Char-Griller COOKGRATE – CENTER (6614)

Broken grill grate. Grate came broken. Sent the wrong insert for the middle. Contacted them and still no new product sent or replacement or my money back.

Never showed up. This never showed up and no response to my email to them.

Yes. I didn't season my new one and it lasted 2 years . Seasoned this one hopefully it will last longer

Will buy again if this lasts at least 2 yrs. Fits this grate perfect. Only concern is my original grate only lasted about 4 months before rusting out. Never had chargriller cast iron grates rust. But this time I seasoned it 5 times in the oven so hopefully....

Love the cooker, but not the grate. The grate needs to be porcelain or aluminum non- stick

I would definitely order again from Char-Griller. Replacement for the original center cooking grate. Waiting for the outer cookgrate so I can start using my grill again.

Cooking grate. I had to replace I use the grill for camping and when putting grill away at the end of camping trip left the coal in grill and cooking grate rusted. This is to replace the original grate. Top quality and is as good as original grate.

I am glad I bought this product, but beware the grate! We like the Akorn Jr. It cooks well and it cooks hot, and it is the right size for a small family and easy cleanup. The only problem with the Akorn Jr. is that the cast iron grate rusts easily in Florida, and so extensively that it had to be replaced (together with this center grate) within well less than a year even though it was covered and under a roof. The mystery is that we've had cast iron implements before that have gone the distance... Thank goodness a replacement grate is reasonably priced.

Replacement grills and parts are fast and easy to obtain. After three years of steady use I ordered this center grate and the main grate as replacements. The original grates are still usable but are starting to get thin. So, I decided to replace them to make my grill like new again.

Small and doesn't fit. Does not fit regular size grill center. Is about 2 inches wide.

Depends if it fails within a yeat. Don't understand how my center grate failed within a year of use. That being said to order a new one was easy and affordable. Would like to hear from a Chat Griller engineer on the failure mode of the broken grate and if the issue has been addressed. Might have been a bad casting or wrong material.
