Char-Griller Dual Function 2-Burner Gas & Charcoal Grill

Enjoying this grill! I've had this grill for seven years and really enjoy the versatility of it. When I'm short on time, I use the propane side and when I have more time for grilling on a Saturday, I really enjoy using the charcoal side. The grill is well-made and in year seven it still works like new. When I have ordered any replacement parts, shopping has been urgent and quick.

So easy a WOMAN can do it! I bought this a few weeks ago. It finally came last week. It took a female or two a few hours to put together but once it was done…it fired right up! I just cooked my first set of steaks on it tonight. Warmed to temp quickly (runs very hot) and seared my steaks perfectly. I’m very happy with my first impressions of this grill and I hope to get years and years of use out of it. It’s very well made!

Well built very sturdy. Well built I have several Char grillers and have bought throughout the years!!!

Only problem is that the bottom degrades and you end up with a football size hole after a couple years of use with no obtainable replacement...

Lower quality than previous models. Years ago I bought a Char Griller and it worked great. Just bought this model and very disappointed. Bought the grill from Lowes, but Lowes doesn't sell the smoke box so had to go to another store for that. In using the smoker for a party recently, I was constantly having to watch the heat as there were many points of contact on the smoke box and grill side that let a lot of heat escape. Took an extra hour than normal to do the smoking. The new flute to adjust air flow is a downgrade from having the pipe straight up off the lid. Also, the handles on the grill are metal and got hot...poor design.

So good, I had to buy it again! While I haven't started using my new Dual Function grill just yet because there's still snow on my patio, this is actually the second Dual Function 2-Burner Gas & Charcoal Grill that I've owned. My first one was left behind when I moved so I had to replace it with the same model. I love being able to have both a charcoal grill for low and slow pulled pork and ribs AND the convenience of a gas grill for when I just want to grill burgers and hot dogs. It's gets either job done perfectly. I don't know why anyone would buy any other grill.

Absolutely love it! The combination gas grill and charcoal grill is perfect for what I do when cooking outside.

Great feature. This was the first purchase I made with char grill had it for a while And then ended up buying a grill barrel Because I didn’t use the propane site very often mostly as a way to keep the food warm. Nothing wrong with it. I just prefer the charcoal grill more.

Awesome Choice Coversthe Bases. I ‘ve had my Dual Fuel Grill for almost a year and I use it regularly. For the most part I use the wood/charcoal side because i prefer the flavor of meat cooked over wood, but when my wife asks me to cook up some quick hamburgers or hotdogs/sausages the propane side allows me to get dinner on the table quickly with the flavor benefits of grilling. I added a side smoker and use it to smoke chicken, pork or a great brisket. My only regret in getting this grill is that I didn’t get it sooner.

Poor qaulity. I bought this grill setup two years ago for $188.00 and it was overpriced then. I like the side by side and added the smoker but the craftsmanship is low level. This is my second char griller, the first rusted through after 3 years. The bottom barrell on this one is also rusting through. The tents on the gasburners are very prone to flareups and I have already replaced them after two years with a knockoff from Menards due to corrosion and rust. If you live in a cold climate and grill 4 times per week like me this is not your grill.

Best of both worlds. Got this about a year ago like I said it's the best of both worlds.cant go wrong with this.

Awesome Offset smoker. I have had this smoker for 8 years and love it. I added the offset fire box a little after getting the grill. They are well built and easy to maintain.

Great grilling with multi fuel. I bought this grill apx 2 years ago. When I got it home I was grilling in minutes

Grill. After being less the two years old the burner rusted and the igniter broke. Grill had cover and was kept outdoors on a covered patio in FL

Dual fuel is the way to go. I’m in a hurry… I go gas. I’m not and relaxing … charcoal. I’m disappointed however the maintenance required. Starter quit last year so I’m using a lighter. Grill metal is spalling so this requires aggressive grinding to remove.

Gas, charcoal and smoke! I bought one of these and added a Chargriller side fire box , I can grill with propane, grill with charcoal or side smoke!. It was easy to assemble and add the side box. They both were a great value and look like they will last forever. With tips and recipes from the Chargriller website I've made many a delicious meal. I would recommend this grill to everyone.

Great Grill. This has been a great grill that I use at least 1 to 5 times a week. I added the side box for smoking. I have really enjoyed this grill. The undercarriage in the back part of the gas grill has about a1foot hole but it still works! Will use as long as it keeps working.

Works great. Works really well. Gas side didn’t hold up long, but we never cleaned the shields either

Very good and allows me try new recipes. I've had this grill for the whole Summer +. I love it. It has given me options that I've never had before, without having two separate items.

Great grill. Have had this for 7 or 8 years and the inside burner cover mounts have finally rusted too much to hold up the covers. Definitely have cooked my money's worth with this unit. Construction is top knock. A little vegetable oil and the outside would look slightly used. Metal they use for the barrel is thick, I may weld the inside to keep using our buy another we'll see. I've cooked for 13 before with the gas side.

Tight Design. I retired from California and self deported to Louisiana I had a massive Texas Griller and smoker combo I left there when I sold the house to a relative. I wanted a new smaller Griller with the same quality and features. I went to your website and saw all of the awesome selections and chose the design being reviewed. Fits perfect on my new house's patio. It has all the features that I need and looks sleek and well designed. My wife was amazed at how quickly I put this unit together. (That Sparkle in her eyes).

Great flexibility! I purchased mine 4 years ago. I then purchased the smoker attachment. I love the the grill and smoker.

Great for big cookouts. If you're having a group of friends over for a holiday cookout, this is the perfect grill to use. One side uses propane gas, and the other side uses charcoal (and if you get the offset grill you can use it as a smoker).

My Favorite Grill!! I bought mine a year ago when I purchased a new home. I could cook on it everyday! I love the fact that I can use the gas grill when I need a quick meal and use the charcoal side for cooking something special.

Solution to gas vs charcoal. I love this grill. I would give is a 5 but. It has a tendency to rust and needs to be touched up with high heat paint.

Amazing results with design. I make the best chicken with how this grill is designed very good temperature control and very nice height I’m 6’0 by the way. Why stop at chicken when I throw on tomahawk steaks no problem, skirt steak flawless. I really like how I have the option for a quick dinner with the gas grill and the savory smoked flavor when I feel like going the extra mile to chop some fire wood.

The Answer. I have had this grill for 5 years with the smoker add-on. It's worked great for everything. Need a quick gas flame to grill hotdogs for the kids, or a slow and low wood/charcoal burn for a big pork butt, this is a great solution.

Good unit. Over a year old and I LOVE it! Bought the side smoker box. Don't really car for it as an attached smoker. Really like it as a free standing BBQ for smaller jobs. I got the propane side WAY too hot and burnt the igniter wires up . My bad. Love the whole unit...

Parts either wearing or rusting away. After having the Dual Function 2-Burner Gas & Charcoal Grill for about two years, I’ve decided to replace it with some or almost any other brand. Any other brand or type I’ve owned in the last fifty plus years, I haven’t needed to replace parts because they broke down, not worn out, but either broke down or needed to be replaced because of falling apart because of rust. From the burners to the burner/heat deflector/ covers. All three of the burners rusted out at the back end and they just slowly fell into the bottom of the grilling area. The gas tank hose connector had to be replaced a couple of months ago and needed to be replaced again. That’s when I decided that this was going to be a $$$ trap. Maybe the problem with the parts rusting away was caused by covering it with the custom cover holding moisture within the grill. I would not recommend this brand at all

Amazing Dual Grill. I bought this as a housewarming gift for my boyfriend and we both LOVE IT! Super versatile and straight forward to use. Great for cooking for just us or a big group. Super happy I decided to go with this combo grill. We use it multiple times a week and it has held up well with proper care.

Best of both worlds. Bought our model 5030 about 5 years ago and it has held up well. Every thing still works as it should. We grill year round, and having the convenience of both fuels is the way to go. It has served us well through many gatherings with friend and family over the years. I snagged ours on sale at the end of summer, and if I had known how great it was I would have bought two.

5650. I bought my gas/charcoal grill about 2 years ago. I really like the convenience of having gas or charcoal and the grill cooks great. Even burning. Unfortunately it rusted out sooner than I expected even though I kept it covered with the grill cover.

The best one yet! I love my Texas Trio grill/smoker. It is a very well built grill and the versatility of being to charcoal grill, gas grill, offset smoke and the burner is awesome!

Great Cooking Unit. I have been cooking with this unit for a month and need another at my other location and this unit let me cook with convince and I love the ease of grilling and all types of foods and not burning!!

I Love to Have Options. I love my grill. If I want the flavor of charcoal I have it. If I an crunched for time, I use the propane. Heck my oven went out around Thanksgiving and my dual grill gave the opportunity to use both to get Thanksgiving done.

No cooking grapes with this grill still Still Wait. I don’t know if I like the grill or not because when it was shipped, it was shipped without the cooking grates I bought this grill in March and I still haven’t received them the company I would not recommend buying off this company at all

Nice Grill Only One Complaint. Love being able to do either gas or charcoal. just bought a smoker attachment and hope to use it a lot this summer. only complaint is that the interior of the grill is rusting already. It's kept covered other then when it's in use, and yet, there is rust throughout the inside of the unit. very disappointing that this is happening.

Great grill for quick dinners and meal prep! I got this grill for Father’s Day in 2017 and it is still rolling. I put it on a patio nd bought a cover, this comes in clutch when I want something quick or to keep food warm.

Awesome for the Everyday Grilled. I bought 2 of these because they are that good. Love the flexibility of swapping between gas and charcoal. I added a side fire box to mine as well and use it to smoke so much more meat at a time. Holds up well in all weather conditions as well.

The best grill EVER! I have been using this grill for the past several years and it works CRAZY good. My only regret is I did not buy the trigger release charcoal starter at that time...it really works well and is so convenient to use. I added on a portable grill as a smoking chamber but don't really need to use it since my little wood chip SS box works just fine in the charcoal grill on one side and actually is great for avoiding certain items from burning (rack of lamb ribs), since it blocks the direct heat from hitting the meat. It's nice to have the option of propane or charcoal because let's face it, sometimes we run out of one or the other. One word of advice...take care of your grill and it will take care of you! make sure to season it properly on the inside and keep it oiled up on the outside as well....and make to sure to clean it properly each time. Happy BBQ'ing! This is the best grill I have ever owned and will own. PS One year I removed the top shelf racks and smoked a 20 lb turkey...it was the BOMB!

Love It! I've had my Dual-Fuel 5060 since 2017. Great grill. No issues with it if you take care of it and keep it covered when not in use. I love the double-fuel functionality. Want to grill quickly? Gas: light it, cook with it, turn it off, and in 10 minutes, it's cool enough to clean and cover it. Want to use wood/charcoal? You have plenty of space. Maybe a modification to seal the lid, but overall, bang-for-the-buck, value-for-money, I'd buy it again.

Gas side of Grill. I like the fact that I can cook with gas or briquets, my Gas grill side had issues after the first-year lighting and then completely won't distribute gas thought out. I've lost that ability.

great ease of both gas and charcoal. i replace this type of grill every 5 to 7 years, due to the weather here in the valley. I go back to the same combo.

Just what I wanted. I started with the portable and bought this to add to it. It is the only one of this type that is easy to setup a rotisserie. I have done a whole chicken , Cornish hens , spare ribs and pulled pork on the rotisserie. I have a basket for the ribs and chicken parts. I haven't done everything yet but I am working on it. This is the best combo that I have seen and I looked at all of them. I have added a few things to my grill.

BEST GRILL COMBO AT A GREAT PRICE. If I'm short on time, I go with gas burner and if I want a smokier flavor use the charcoal grill. Both get the job done to perfection.

I love the charcoal side. I love the idea of having propane or charcoal to cook with, sometimes you just don't have the time for charcoal and propane will let you cook outside in a quicker mode. I did change out the coated gilling surfaces with cast iron ones I ordered as replacements. The coating cracked and made me feel like Char-Griller could have done a better job making them in the first place or just put in the cast iron ones to begin with.

Perfect size. I love my grill. Just the right size for just the 2 of us. I also love the fact that I can choose between gas or charcoal.
