Side box. Came just as I would like.I needed a new side box, age and years of fires left it warped.

Had higher expectations for this. Lovely little side fire box but the paint melted off first use.

Disappointed. I bought this to add as a side box smoker to my CharGriller Bbq. Unfortunately there are too many little gaps in the design that smoke seeped out of every crevice and never got hot enough to smoke anything. I haven’t used it yet as a tiny bbq on its own yet, but I’m sure it works fine that way.

J.R. Collins. The Set Screws to Level the Fire Box to my grill is a Design Flaw. I don't see these Screws holding up for a long period of time. There are a number of ways your Research & Development Team can make this better? Love the grill. Have had several different brands over the years & this is one of my favorites!

Poorly made. Paint peeled of the grill during the very first use

Great item. Great quality product. Quality build and easy to maintain. Nicen it had veggie oil instead of other toxic oil on the grill that you had to burn off.

Side fire box. I ordered the deluxe pro and after a couple weeks I purchased the side fire box and I love it not a bad stick burner not hard to add on at all

Five gallon bucket. I've used this smoker/ grill for a bit cooked meany of meals under one pound of briquettes and it reaches 750° .

Perfect for adding to barrel grill or tabletop use. Perfect addition to my barrel grill. Comes with all hardware for either use. Adjustable airflow for easier temp maintenance.

Tops on my game. I bought my second and attached it to my dual grill for a smoke box. I'll keep doing it & smoking the briskets...not bad for the city boy trucker !

Great addition. I bought this after I bought my grill so I could use it more like a smoker however it also works when you’re cooking smaller dinners and you don’t have to set up a large grill. You could also disassemble it and use it for tailgates or camping

Smoking like a chimney. Great for smoking wings and ribs. Keeps good heat and produces great flavors

Never Burn Anything. With a lot of tabletop grills the coals are right next to the grates. I like that there is a bit more clearance on this one so I don't burn anything. Great grill!

Versatility! Bought this a while ago and we use it as a side smoker, as well as a tailgating grill! This thing is money

Perfect addition. When we found out we could add this to our current grill to become a smoker..... we were amazed. We have enjoyed the savings on a smoker plus the large amount of meat we can smoke.

PERFECT SIZE FOR 1 PERSON. I've been using this size for 18 years. You can't wear it out. The 1st one I gave to my son when he moved down to college, WIU. I use an electric charcoal starter and it works great with the grill.

Side fire box is awesome! I put this fire box on my 5050 duel fuel grill which I love and have had for years! The fire box is the best smoker I have ever used. I like feeding it versus plugging it into an extension cord. It’s easy to put on and still looks great.

Easily attached to barrel grill. I bought this to attach to my barrel grill and it works really well. It was easy to attach and is easy to use. Temperature management is easy with the vents.

Great portable and side fire box. I bought 2 of these, one to add to my dual fuel grill for side smoking and one for camping. They were easy to assemble , are sturdy and slook like they will last a long tine and are worth every penny i spent. They work great and have made many a delicious meal With tips and recipes from the Chargriller website.

Turn your charcoal grill into an offset!! This a game changer when it comes to smoking larger proteins. I added a food-safe, high-temp RTV sealant between the firebox and main cook chamber to minimize potential leaks. Not sure if it would have leaked without it as I used the RTV as a precaution during the initial install.

Excellent features. I brought it back in June for the start of the summer and it was a great buy.

Perfect for on the go. Works good for a grill, haven't attached it to my big grill as it didn't come with the needed spacers. Easy to season, it is warped right out of the box, but a little time with a mallet and wood block has it usable

Makes Main/Principal Grill Nearly Non-functional. I've had the SFB for a few years attached to my 14 year old CharGriller 3001 gas. The SFB does a pretty effective job as a charcoal grill if you're desiring that, and does well as indirect smoker to smoke meat and fish at very low heat that is placed in the 3001. The problem is attaching the SFB renders the 3001 also unuseful as a grill. The heat that normally would be contained in the 3001 is lost to the SFB because there's no way to close it off. The max heat I can get my 3001 is about 620-650, provided there is no wind and ambient temperatures are above 65 degrees F. Much colder and the 3001 struggles to stay hot and once you open the lid of the 3001 or the SFB, you lose all that heat. In the wind, forget it. We used to use our 3001 in our Colorado winter, but we learned the hard way that with the SFB attached, it's a waste of time and propane. I've considered reattaching the punchout removed the 3001 and figuring out how to create a vent that will be large enough to draw the wood smoke from the SFB.

Best little grill. This is the perfect size for me and my wife. Be sure to follow the seasoning instructions.

Great add on. I bought this to add a smoker feature to my DUO. After I installed it, the first thing I wanted to smoke was ribs. They came out perfect. The family was happy.

Smoking’ Good! I have the side firebox attached to my dual fuel CharGriller. It gives my grill a third option - propane for something quick on weeknights - charcoal on the weekends with more time - slow smoking goodness when you have the full day - think pork butt just falling apart after 6-8 hours of smoking…highly recommend

Great addition! Added this side fire box to the dual fuel grill and it has allowed me to use the whole charcoal side of the grill for smoking since the box takes care of the fire. The box also works great as a portable grill!

Needed a side box for indirect heat. This has worked great for the last two years that I have used it. It was my first offset heat source as I learned to smoke using actual wood instead of pellets, and I have not been disappointed. Quality and durability have been excellent, and I would recommend to anyone.

Built Like a Tank. I bought this portable grill/sidebox for camping and what an awesome grill it is. I couldn't be any happier with my purchase! Built very solid for years of cooking. Nice design making clean-up a breeze. I told co-workers about it and now they want one too.

Perfect table top charcoal grill. I have had my table top grill/firebox for 4 years now. It's perfect for taking with us on small trips to the park or lake. The smoke it produces makes it like a smoker/grill in one. You wont be dissapointed in this.

Sturdy, good at retaining heat. I purchased this at a 3rd party vendor’s warehouse, it fits the CharGriller offset barrel that I had and works well at retaining the heat and the grates help for keeping a good hot bed of coals.

Great portable grill. I bought this for quick grilling of smaller meals. Use it at least once a week. I like that it has cast iron grills and bought 2 more to give to my assistant superintendents. My full size Char- Griller is17 years old, still going strong ( replaced grills 2 times and ash pan 3 times).

Great little smoke box. I have used the side fire box for more than 10 years, adding it to my 5050 gas/charcoal grill. It is tremendously easy to install and when I smoke ribs, chicken, or tri-tip, the side fire box does a wonderful job. It would be great if it included a thermometer, but it's not a deal breaker. It's super easy to clean after use and it completes my 5050.

Great grill to have to use all the ti. I bought 1 a year ago love it I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Best portable charcoal grill ever. What a great portable charcoal grill! I seasoned the grates as directed….. that’s important. First cook was chicken thighs and beef carne asada over hardwood lump charcoal. Easy temperature control and easy to move coals to one end or another based upon the thickness of the meat. Perfect outcome on both meats. The drawer is perfect. Easy to remove ash and things. I’m excited to use this grill for gatherings away from home as well as for camping and even small cooks at home where my main grill is a medium Kamodo. If you are looking for the perfect portable charcoal grill, buy this one!! Heavy gauge steel; all the parts fit; all of the hardware is there….. and it cooks wonderfully

Fair at best. #1 came damaged badly but good customer service replacement of damage. 2 stars because no temp gauge, no grease can, and easy to burn food with grates too close to the charcoal. Might make a better firebox than grill.

Must have! I bought my Char-griller double play grill was really good until I bought the side smoker/grill box as an attachment to the grill what a game changer.

Perfect as a side smoker. We added this bad boy to the double play. Gives us the ability to go low and slow in the spring through fall and do cold smokes for cheese and salmon in the winter. Wouldn't have tried another method.

Good value. We travel with our RV full time.  It’s now about 6 years old and I’ve used it coast to coast.  Does a very good job for all around grilling and I’ve also smoked/ slow cooked pork butts doing a great job

Holds the heat. I bought this side box to use as a portable, but like it so much, it's my main grill. This company puts out the only reasonable priced grill that's made with steel thick enough to hold the heat. World of difference!

Great Side Firebox. Smoked a brisket and a pork butt with this side firebox on my duel fuel grill and it worked great. The slide out ash holder made clean-up easy and it has held up really well.

Let's get Smokey! Purchased the side fire box smoker grill shortly after buying my 5050 grill, for added versatility. The food it puts out is phenomenal. You have to pay attention, and expect to spend some time tending your grill, but the food is top notch.

Great add on for your grill. I don't smoke a lot, so a dedicated smoker isnt going to get much use. This side fire box makes a great additional to an already good grill.

Smoke box. I bought this in 2017 to use as a smoke box for my chargrilled 5050 duo and is been great and still going strong. Very satisfied with this purchase

Door welded on with gap. The hinge on the door was welded wrong. Door has a gap and wont closed. It burned all the paint off. I have another one just like. Had for 2 years. Never had paint burn off. It cause of the door being installed wrong.

Firebox/grill. Have 9ne as a firebox on the Outlaw. Also use it as a small grill. Did a ribeye on it just yesterday

Great customer service. Handle was a little beat up due to the carrier but customer service was great and sent a new one right away, that’s why I have used char griller for 12 years

Best grill accessories hands down. I’m so excited to have found a smoke box for my grill. My grill is about 12 years old. I replaced the grates and the coal pan. All in all, best grill I’ve ever owned cannot wait to use my smoke box. Just bought the wood today!

Grill side box/smoker. I bought a side box/smoker to add onto my grill, at Home Depot. I bought the chargrilled side box/smoker to add onto my chargrilled grill. After 2-3 years the box rusted and broke. I contacted Char-Griller via the website and communicated with Sabrina in the customer service department. I explained the situation and provided the requested information and was really surprised to find out they are replacing the side box. It’s nice to deal with a company that backs up their products even when they don’t have to. Needless to say I’ll be a lifelong customer and will recommend this company to anyone looking for a new grill. Thankyou Sabrina and Crar-Griller!

Great for using as offset. I bought this 6 months ago and attached it to my Outlaw grill. Does a great job as an offset and have used it to grill up steaks to go for a reverse sear. Seems a little heavy for a portable grill but should hold heat if that’s what your using it for.

Firebox Smoker. Yes I’ve had my smoker grill & Firebox for years & still looks good. I take care of my Equipment though. I would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks

I'm Satisfied. This new side fire box is slightly smaller than the original one, but it should work fine. And the slide out drawer didn't really seal very tight, but I put a little block of wood under the end closest to the main grill and fixed that. So overall I'm happy with it. The original was starting to rust out just a little, but it was about 10 years old. I will still use it as a stand alone grill. I think it's a great value.

Perfect For One or Two!! I bought this to use in place of my larger gas grill and absolutely love it! It's just the right size for one or two people!

Very well built. I purchased this product for camping. Upon arrival, I found the assembly instructions to be clear and easy to follow and was very satisfied with the results when done. After the burn In procedure I have cooked many delicious meals, from grilled chicken, steak and salmon. Nothing tastes better than food that has been cooked on a charcoal fire.

Great alone or as Attachment. I bought this about two years ago and attached it to my existing grill. Works great as a smoking box and also can be taken off and taken on trips, etc.

Very useful. This is my second one and I bought one for my brother. This grill allows me to have home grilling no matter where I go and when my brother seen it he wanted one so after telling him about it I offered to purchase it so if he didn’t like it he would not lose so guess what he won twice.
