Better then Expected. Its a great product, our whole family loves have fallen in love with smoked meat after buying this BBQ. Its very easy to setup and use.

I am addicted to this thing. I started charcoal grilling just this year and have always used gas my whole life beforehand. I had first gotten a cheap starter charcoal grill and after 4 months I quickly outgrew it. After lots of research, going to BBQ/backyard stores, YouTube and google, I decided to go with Kamado Joe. The Lowe's near me had a Classic series I in stock and took it right away. We immediately started up a first fire after getting it unloaded and put back together, and after an initial burn-in we immediately went to the store to get some things to grill. No need for a chimney, no need for lighter fluid, just control the draft. Like firing a steam locomotive. The food comes out so good and the features/add-ons for this thing are so awesome. I can't really think of anything that you can't grill on it if it CAN be grilled. I use it 2-4 times a week and after every time I really can't wait to fire it up again. We can't wait to try to make our first pizza in it with the Kamado pizza stone. We really love this thing and it makes a great conversation piece as well when guests visit. I'm using it rain or shine or even when it's 117 degrees outside.

I love this grill. The build quality of this grill is amazing! I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into at first, but once I got this fired up, the learning curve wasn't nearly as bad as I initially thought it would be. Id 100% this grill. No complaints, to cracks, no rust, just great food.

The Grill That Made My Other Grills Obsolete. My Komodo Joe is easily one of the best purchases I have made for my home. Calling it a grill barely covers what it does. It is a smoker, charcoal grill, outdoor oven, pizza oven, and high-temperature searing machine all in one. I use it for everything from burgers, brats, chicken, and vegetables to low-and-slow pulled pork, ribs, and brisket. When I want steakhouse results, I can open it up and get the charcoal ripping hot for an incredible sear. When I want pizza, the ceramic body holds and circulates heat like a brick oven, giving me a crisp crust that a regular kitchen oven cannot match. I have also used it to roast whole chickens, bake side dishes, reverse-sear thick cuts of meat, and cook complete meals using separate direct and indirect heat zones. What really separates the Komodo Joe from an ordinary grill is the control. Once the vents are dialed in, it holds temperature remarkably well for hours. The ceramic construction retains heat, uses charcoal efficiently, and keeps food moist instead of drying it out. It gives me the flexibility to cook at 225 degrees for an all-day smoke or climb to extremely high temperatures for pizza and searing. What a blast! I got this grill/smoker as a gift for Father's Day and I am having so much fun learning how to smoke and BBQ meats! I have made delicious beef ribs and pork butt and today I will be making wings for the family. This is the best grill I ever owned. Since I was a child, I had been exposed to the art of cooking on a charcoal grill. My father always had Weber charcoal kettle grills and, by default, that was the brand of grill that I used for 20+ years. My last charcoal grill was 10+ years old and it was starting to show its age and the grates were falling apart so it was time to get a new one. I did my research and wanted to go out of my comfort zone and went with the Kamado Joe "Classic Joe." I have had this grill for about 2 months and I have used it about 10 times now and it is amazing. The precise temperature control and the ability to adjust the grate height to get the perfect cook, are game changers. I am using the Kamado Joe lump charcoal and I am amazed by how well it burns (and for how long). After 10 cycles of cooking, I haven't even gone through a 1/2 bag of coal yet. I am glad I purchased this grill and I would recommend this to anyone who wants cooking perfection.

What a Grill/Smoker! The Kamado Joe Classic Joe I is a solid addition to my BBQ grill lineup. The ceramic construction holds heat extremely well, no smokes leaks at all and it gives me great temperature control whether I’m smoking low n’ slow or running it for hot n’ fast grilling. The large cooking area gives me plenty of room, and the Divide & Conquer system makes it easy to set up different cooking zones. It’s also built really well and feels like a cooker that’s going to hold up for years. I’ve been impressed with the performance and versatility so far. If you want a quality ceramic kamado that can handle everything from long smokes to high heat grilling, the Classic Joe I gets the job done.

Get Ready To Smoke. The online videos on Kamado's IG and YouTube page were very helpful.

Best Grill I’ve ever used! I have used many charcoal grills and Kamado Joe is by far the best because of the feature it has. Easy to get started and easy to clean up!

Excellent grill. My grill is approaching 15 years old. I grill on average 3-5 times per week. You do the math. As per normal expectations, I am finally having to replace the internal firebox. The “out of stock” issues have been slightly frustrating. However customer service has been excellent and working hard to get me back up and running. While I hope to get another few years, the justification of the cost of this grill has more than exceeded that. Plus the quality of results make this a no brainer. If something happened and I had to go replace this grill, I would go TODAY and purchase without hesitation.

Smoking and grilling love. I love this grill. This is the upgrade I been waiting for from the weber kettle. I only have one recommendation instead of two catches to hold the grill grates add 4-6 to secure the grates.

Kamado Joe - There is No Other that Compares! I bought my first Kamado Joe 11 years ago in a combination of an 18” KJ with divide and conquer grate system and ceramic heat deflector. It set in a 304 stainless steel cradle over 2 door storage area. Attached beside it was a 3 burner LP gas grill fully constructed of 304 SS also with 2 door area for LP tank and storage. It was called “Combo Joe”. Total cost retail was $1500. Absolutely loved this cooking machine. Nothing else compared to it then and as far as I know nothing is available now other than custom outdoor set ups. KJ tested the market I guess and decided it wasn’t there. 8 months ago I sold this to a friend for very little money as we downsized and didn’t think I’d have room. Looking for a new KJ now to sit beside a new Weber 4 burner LP gas grill on a grilling pad we created. Just waiting on the right deal to come along to get back using Americas #1 Smoker product. Did I mention KJ provided 100% warranty on all failed parts for the entire 11 years I owned this. Only one set of liners was needed in 11 years. Along with those KJ replaced gas grill tubes, flame tamers and grate. Kamado Joe people are the best and the company stands behind them.

Amazing performance! Best purchase I made. I used the Classic Joe I for the first time and it impressed me! Everything about it was great and it’s so enjoyable to use. Every other grill seems like it would be a downgrade.

My new favorite grill. I've had many different types and brands of grills throughout my life, and have always been let down by either durability, lack of versatility or overall quality in one way or another. After using my dad's BGE, I knew I had to get me a kamado. After much research, I decided to go with the Classic Joe 1 and it's been amazing from the start. I've cooked low and slow, direct heat, reverse sear, done pizzas, wings, baked breads... This thing is so versatile, consistent, and food always comes out amazing.

My grilling experience totally changed. I have a Joe Classic and Joe Jr. and my grilling experience totally changed the day I got them. I use the grilles at least 3 times a week and enjoy the different meals I can make on both grilles at the same time. Easy to use, easy maintenance great products and support for Kamado Joe. Worth every penny, and easy to maintain!!

Must try Kamado Joe! Start with the Classic. I was lucky to purchase this 1st gen Kamado Classic on sale at Lowe’s during Memorial Day weekend sale with my military discount was an outstanding deal to not purchase. I’ve cooked on the Akorn which was amazing and pushed me to try ceramic and I’ve never turned back…freaking amazing. You have to try ceramic Kamado style cooking and for the price w some accessories the Kamado Joe is the way to go! Highly recommend!

Built my outdoor kitchen around The Kamado Joe. I bought this over the Green Egg and am I glad I did it does not matter what I cook on it, how I cook it, it always ends up being the most delicious enjoyable part of the meal that comes out of the Kamado. Chicken used to be my least favorite meat at a bbq I will say with the Kamado it has become one of my favorites. This is my favorite thing to use it makes every meat taste great and makes me look like a top chef BBQ has upped my game for sure!!!!

Great Komodo Grill - Smokes/Grills/Rotisseries. I have had this grill for years and it is my go-to grill over the years. I have a pellet grill, a gas grill, but this grill does it all. I can grill without flare ups and get the char I love, I can rotisserie chicken and turkey without worrying about the skin burning. I even have baked mac and cheese in the grill.

An indispensable tool for any house. I bought this almost 10 years ago and then bought another one for my vacation home. I cannot imagine leaving without it. In the summer I barbecue at least 5 times a week. Often debate with my wife whether we should put something in the oven or on the Joe and the Joe wins all the time. First, I can get the temperature to 500-600 degrees in a heart beat faster than our state of the arm oven can ever get there. Second, the heat distribution is always amazing, no burned or raw sides. I cook steaks at 900 degrees, pizza at 700, salmon at 500 and pretty much smoke my ribs, pulled pork and brisket at 220. Whatever temperature I choose, I can achieve. Joe II is even better in temperature control.

Komado Joe Grill. My daughter bought me this grill at first I didn’t like it only because I was used to my Weber Grill but it’s still here is amazing easy to use and cooks BBQ amazing cleans up easy much better then my old grill also very solid I love it and you will also believe me I was hesitant but I use it also in prime time winter it works like a charm great!!

Best & Most versatile cooker. We have been having our Kamado Joe for several years now and I’ve cooked everything from burgers, steak, chicken, vegetables, pizza, to even chilli. If you want a durable, well made, easy to operate cooker for your patio, you can’t beat the Kamado line. It even makes something as simple and inexpensive as chicken leg quarters into a great meal. With everything to choose from leg quarters (crispy on the outside and juicy inside) are literally my wife’s favorite. She says nothing gives them flavor like our Kamado Joe (and I agree).

Great Introduction to the World of Smoking. There is no going back. I love my Kamado Joe and use it regularly. My best smoke? Home made BACON! I got a whole pork belly, and followed the instructions in my smoking cookbook (the one given to me by a friend complete with greasy sauce stains, and no front cover!) and created the perfect accompaniment to breakfast. I got to use Maple syrup made at home, and that was special too. The consistent heat, and consistent smoke was a dream to work with.

Kamado Classic. Had about two years, never a problem, works. Great for slow or fast cooking to include great pizzas

Quick and easy cleanup. Classic Joe is super nice and affordable. Cooks my hamurgers and steaks right every time.

Love the Joe. I received my classic Joe as a housewarming gift a few years back. I also have a competitive brand smoker with a different color(green). While the finished products are very similar, the hardware on my Joe is much heavier and more substantial. The accessories are better as well. Everything tastes amazing coming off, and I would highly reccomend any of the Kamado Joe products. As a side note, one of my deflector plates cracked, and they sent me a new plate quickly at no cost. Great customer service.

Quick and easy. Real easy to clean out, prep and get going. Close it all up when you are done and minimize waste. Great grill.

Better than Green Egg. I bought my Kamado Joe after using my son’s green egg when he moved back in with me for 6 months. I had to have a green egg as I fell in love with it. As I researched, I saw the Kamado Joe had more standard features and the price point was much better. I bought the classic Joe and I like it much better than the green egg. It is an awesome grill for smoking, grilling, baking, and making pizzas.

A lot of grill for not a lot. Bought this on sale for an unbelievable price after kicking myself for years for not grabbing one that I found on clearance. Good things come to those who wait and found it on sale for the lowest price I’ve ever seen! For what it’s worth, I paid far less that I would have for just the grill if I would have bought the green competition. The very first thing I cooked was a smoked pork butt, so easy to keep the temperature low and stable! Very pleasantly surprised by how little charcoal it took for an 10 hour cook. I will say it was easy to assemble and was a very complete package. However, you will definitely need to have help since it is Heavy! Definitely keep this in mind when you buy it if the retailer does not deliver and set it up for you. Lastly, there was a small chip in the finish on the bottom edge, but with the touch up paint that kamado joes offers, it is not visible and has zero affect on its performance or longevity.

Got pre tariffs and was great. I got this as a gift from my wife. It holds pretty well and have not had issues. Make sure to cover it from rain as after a few seasons where I lazily left it outside, the black tables slightly chipped. Otherwise, very preventable and I love it. Especially with the attachments.

Absolute must have! This grill does it all! Steaks taste amazing, what ever you want to smoke comes out tender and juicy. Baking a pizza Takes minutes. MUST HAVE in any back yard in my opinion.

Best Grill Ever! I've had my Joe for around 7 years. It blows smoke like the day I bought it. Easy to regulate temp. Easy to clean. Smoking all night? No problem. Searing some steaks? Piece of cake. Covid sucked but I went through 200 lbs of Joe charcoal. You can't go wrong if you enjoy cooking!

Exceptional Interior Construction. I was a general manager of a hardware store for a number of years and we were an authorized dealer for the Big Green Competitor. I must have built hundreds of the other guys grills, but at the end of the day I bought a Kamado Joe for myself. One of the most common ceramic components to crack inside the green guys grills was the firebox or the ceramic bowl at the bottom that holds the majority of the charcoal. The reason for that is because their firebox was all one piece. But with my Kamado Joe Classic, the firebox was engineered to be multiple pieces which reduces the likely hood of cracking over time. I’ve had the grill for over 6 years and use it year round in all temperature ranges and never have I had a single crack in the ceramics. I attribute it to the engineering of the interior pieces. On top of that, the Joe Classic came standard with side tables whereas the other guys grill you had to purchase those separately. Overall it’s a better design and the price you pay is great for what you get. I would buy this grill all over again but I’ll never have to thanks to the lifetime warranty!! Thanks Kamado Joe!

Heavy Duty Grill. Initial impressions: Just recently bought this grill and it is so much more heavy duty than my old steel grill. My grill was missing the shelves, but warranty was quick and painless to get the replacement parts. Looking forward to testing out the grill.

Best value. I got this over a year ago and it is such a good price for value in the current market. Really holds temps well and very versatile. Juicy and tender. I bought this grill about 10 years ago. At first there was a bit of a learning curve but overtime it became easy to use. I am amazed it’s versatility. I have made a wide variety of things in it with good results. Whenever I have had people over for dinner, they are always impressed with the juicing us in the food and the smoke flavor. Love our Kamado Joe. One of our favorite things to do is Pizza night we create a couple different artisan pizza’s and enjoy them with our family. We are loving how easy it is to smoke a pork shoulder and also the Salmon was a favorite.

Durable if treated and maintained. Our Kamado Joe has been for years and years and you have to make sure to maintain it appropriately, like cleaning ashes, the grill and covering. We recently had the porcelain base upgraded and it's like a new Joe!! We definitely love it and will keep the care so it continues to last years

Amazing grill. This has by far been the best grill I have ever had. My wife and kids purchased this one for me as a birthday gift almost 5 years ago. I wish we had bought it years before we did. We cook 80% of our meals on a grill. So they normally would not last very long. This one has already stood the test of time and has had no issues in almost 5 years of use

Easy smoking. I have had my Original Kamado Joe (with wood side tables) for about 8 years now and I bought it second hand and refurbished it and have used it often over the years. It had a cracked fire box when I received but I have never replaced and it still works great to today. Consistently get rave reviews from the cooks I have made from ribs to rotisserie chicken to even the elusive perfect brisket. the grill is quite easy to use and produces awesome food.

The Original and the Best. I had my Classic Joe 1 for maybe 4 years now and this thing is a beast. The Best Bang for your buck among the other models. This thing can do everything from smoking, grilling, rotisserie, pizza, baking etc.

Quality. I bought my Joe Classic 10 years ago and I still love it! Over the years I have made the best smoked bacon, candied salmon, pizzas and delicious steaks. The Kamado Joe lineup is high quality and replacement parts are available for those parts that wear out over time. I would definitely purchase a new one but only to have two available when I want to do a slow and low cook and also want to grill.

Love mine so much I bought one for both of my sons. I bought my Joe a few years ago and learned quickly how to cook a great tenderloin steak. Take 2 filets about 2-2.5 inches thick, get the fire REAL hot, cook with top down 3 minutes per side, then close the vents and leave in with top down for 3 more minutes. I also learned quickly to open the vents before raising the top. Take them off and let rest and I would have perfectly seared medium rare steaks. My sons begin asking for the steaks for their birthday dinners telling me they were the best steaks they had ever had. So, one Christmas, I decided to buy them each their own. Now they enjoy their Joe as much as I enjoy mine. I've gotten pretty good at slow cooked ribs also. We love it!

Fun to Use, Amazing Food. I have owned my Kamado Joe Classic I for three years now. It still works perfectly. I love cooking on it. It's not only fun to use, but brings an amazing flavor to anything I cook on it. Whether hot and fast or low and slow, it's amazing. Favorites are pulled pork, white chicken chili, and hamburgers.

Glad I Splurged. I've had the classic 1 for about 4 years now and am still very satisfied, cooks great low and slow or fast and hot, durable and the warranty service is fast and easy, I've had to have the base of the firebox replaced this year.

A rock star grill! I bought the Kamado Joe in the summer of 2023 and it has been clutch to grill upon ever since! I haven't scooped up all of the accessories, but the stone half moon heat deflectors are great for smoking meat and fish. The two level grill is great for slow cooking on one level and faster on the lower one. A great buy that I would recommend to anyone.

Great grill. Bought this over a month ago and it’s a game changer. Cooks evenly and is easy to control temp. I should have purchased this a long time ago. It’s definitely worth every penny

Love this thing. I had reservations about buying these grills because mainly the price, I’m retired and have to watch my milk money if you know what I mean. Anyway, I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought the Classic Joe and I am very happy I did. These things are marvelous. The food that comes off of them have inspired me to try more cooking on it and hopefully by Spring, I will be able to purchase the JoeTisserey and maybe the DoJoe. I’m going to add a couple pictures I made, one is a pork butt and the other is balogna bites and shrimp and sausage skewers. These were all simply delicious. Not sure what my next project will be but Labor Day is a few days away so we will have to see. Thanks Kamado Joe for the recipes I find in your emails.

I love it. I’m using my dads n I love it it’s amazing to smoke cream cheese n almost n anything u can think of. Hope I can buy my own soon

Complete smoker. I bought the Classic Joe a few months ago and was surprised that most of the accessories were included. I have a BGE and everything you need to operate it is extra.

So fresh and so clean clean... I'm amazed at how easy it is to perform a clean burn in this cooker. It took about 1 hour to run a clean burn to 700 degrees for about 30 minutes. The entire unit came out clean and ready for the rest of the season.

Fantastic Grill. Met and exceeded my expectations. I consider myself an amateur in grilling but this grill made me look like a pro. The steak came out great and delicious, easy to use and clean. I’m already saving for the upgraded and bigger Joe. Highly recommended.

Way better quality than a green one. Could not believe how much better everything felt compared to my old green smoker! This thing rocks
