highly recommend! Nice price. heats up really fast, much faster than my old one. I was surprised when the water started boiling in just a few minutes! The temperature control is easy to use, just turn the knob and it gets hotter or cooler right away. cooking surface is a good size. I made hotpot the other day and it cooked evenly, no hot spots like some other ones I've tried. Clean up is easy too, just wipe it with a damp cloth and it's clean. works great for everyday cooking, definitely recommend if you need something simple and reliable!

★★★★★ Parth February 25, 2026
You will not blame yourself for buying this. I ordered this small oven to get my first experience with the induction oven, and I am proud of my decision. Thankfully, I did some research on the principle of an induction oven, particularly the need for induction-ready cooktops and how heat generates/transfers, so I avoided many complaints I can see from a handful of buyers.
It's not that functional-rich, but enough for daily use with its price tag. I can clearly see the value for my money. It can be plugged-in to any regular electrical outlet in a US household. The oven is very easy to use and does its job as expected. Keep in mind that if you want a very fast result, set the oven to a higher wattage (default is 900w). I do not see any issues with the heat distribution, no complaints with the quality, buttons are touch sensitive and work very well. Auto shut-off option (when no cooktop is there) makes it accident-proof. Cleaning is very easy, and in my last 3 days of use, I didn't need any special liquid to clean it. The low humming/buzzing sound is well within the expected limit, as an induction oven cannot be noise-free due to its operating principle (which is caused by the magnetic interaction between the cooktop and the pan, and the cooling fan).
I am giving this tiny tool a 4-star since a 4.5-star is not an option (reduction of 0.5 is for its lesser functionality).

★★★★★ Rachel February 19, 2026
Sleek, effective, and stores easily. I'd been hearing a lot about how great induction cooking is—more energy efficient and no burning gas in the house which is better for air quality —so I was excited to try this out. I'm really glad I did. This 11-inch portable induction cooktop heats water super fast, has solid warming and melting settings, and shuts off quickly when there's no cookware on it, which is a nice safety feature. I'll use it at home, for parties when I need an extra burner, and for camping or travel. It looks sleek, stores easily, and works great. My brother even came over while I was using it and immediately asked where he could buy one. Very happy with it!
★★★★★ purchaser February 19, 2026
Different if you never used one. The knowledge of this working hot plate took me a bit but I think I finally got it. I didn't know I had to have a special cleaner and not a wet cloth with the cleaner. None abrasive. If you see a u on the screen it simply means to put your pot on it. Won't work right until you do. Also if a magnet sticks to your pan you can use that pan on it but all others are a no. Didn't understand this before I bought it. Mainly wanted it Incase we have to use our generator.

Bought this to use with my RV for outdoor cooking. Don't cook in the RV to avoid smells and heat build up inside. Wind/breeze causes my outdoor propane kitchen cooktop to go out and/or not generate flame as needed. Also allows me to use campground electricity rather than my propane. I've used this cooktop a couple of times at home to test it out and so far so good. Bought an adapter plate to use for non-magnetic cookware rather than buying new. Heats up very fast!

★★★★★ April Porter December 16, 2025
Great value for your money. Works very well. This little thing works so well, I'm very impressed. Bought it because my apartment stove is absolute garbage. I kind of wish I'd bought a 2-burner one now. Boils water crazy fast. The settings are very accurate. I do wish each setting had temps a little closer together -- I think there are 40 degrees between each setting. I think 20 would be better, that way you'd have more control over your temperature. The fan stays on for a couple minutes after you turn it off, which sometimes makes me think I forgot to turn it off, but that's probably just me being absent-minded. It does have an audible beep and auto shut-off if you take your pan off the hob. It doesn't cool down as fast as other induction hobs I've seen, but it does have an "H" indicator for while the surface is still hot, although within 60 seconds or so it's cooled down enough to touch (it'll be warm/hot, but not enough to burn you, just maybe a tad uncomfortable). This was very affordable and I really like it. Fairly easy to clean, I've been using it for a month or two now and there are a couple of spots on the surface that seem to be scratched maybe, as they don't come as clean as the rest of the unit. Be careful wiping the front panel while using the burner, as the touch panel is sensitive and I've accidentally turned it off many times just wiping off grease spatters. Great Value.

It is much heavier than the single burner resistan. well made but very large for a single burner. I have only used it once since I purchased it for my camper to use with the Solar/LifePo system I installed. Induction cooktops are supposed to be more efficient. Seems to be what I need.
★★★★★ Sherri L. Alford December 7, 2025
Fast and consistent temps. Does make noise. An inexpensive way to try out the induction type of cooking, instead of purchasing the whole enchilada! Great for everything from poached eggs to sauces. Frying eggs in a fraction of time. This unit has an internal fan that runs when unit is working, so it's not as quiet as gas or electric tops. We use a glass cleaner on the surface to keep it shiny and new looking. Wife was skeptical at first, but quickly warmed up to its speed and consistent cooking temps. Might have to do some saving for the 36” Replacement cook top. Be sure your pots and pans will work with induction!!

Better Than I Expected. I got this because I am without a real kitchen right now. I have to say I LOVE it! I love that I can control the temp and the size works great for me. I didn't have a lot of cookware that was magnetic to use with it but with the limited pieces I have I can really cook a lot of stuff. Rating provided by a verified purchaser. This cooktop met my requirements. Many of the others have only 10 power settings, no temperature settings which is what we all understand. This one has both and on the temperature settings there are a lot more than just 10. It has a simmer button, get your pot boiling starting with 400+ degrees then hit the simmer button. It has a shutoff timer too, hit that after simmer and set it to simmer for 6 to 8 minutes then shut off. Can't do that with a stove. The functionality of this cooktop is well thought out compared to most others and the price is well below the name brands this competes against. I bought another one BTW, got 2 now for when I need 2. Not much use for my beautiful 36 inch stainless steel gas cooktop!

Perfect for cooking outside too. When I fry burgers or ground beef, the grease gets everywhere so I got this for cooking it outside. I run a heavy extension cord from the garage and lay down a tarp and cook the beef on it. No smell in the house but it cooks fast and easy. When done, it wipes clean and it's ready for the next use.

Cook temperature hard to set! This burner is hard to learn. The temperature setting is completely different then the electric burner on any other appliance I have owned. There are some nice settings such as melt and pause. The keep warm is a really nice feature. It is a two prong plug. It is induction so make sure your cookware is for induction cooktops. All in all it is a nice burner, but cooks hot!
★★★★★ glennj October 12, 2025
Rating provided by a verified purchaser. Only the pan gets hot with induction stoves. Works with iron and steel pans that magnetism works to heat. If a magnet sticks to the pan, it works with the induction stove. Strict temperature control allows safe cooking and helps avoid overcooking. When cooking steak in a pan, the use of a spatter screen over the pan controls grease spatter. Cook steak at 240 degrees F. in less than 5 minutes on each side leaving the center nice and rare. My favorite way to grill steak when it is affordable to buy.

Temperature control? Temperature control does not seem to be as accurate as they claim. Set burner on 240 and stepped aside to prep food for cooking. Came back several minutes later and temps were as high as 600 degrees at the center of the pan. Also, doesn't heat much more than a 6" diameter circle. Leaving the outer edge of larger skillets with uneven heating.

Comparable to my gas stovetop. I have not experimented with induction cooking until now, so I was not sure what to expect. It is pretty neat! Spoiler alert, there is no high-medium-low like on a regular stovetop. Aside from the fixed settings of Melt, Keep Warm, and Simmer, the settings are either by Temperature Mode, which goes from 120F to 460F, or by Power Mode, which goes from 100W up to 1800W. The user manual suggests using the Power Mode if a specific temp is not required. But who knows anything about watts?! So I thought I would ease into it by boiling a pot of water for pasta. I set it at 1200W, and it took about 8 minutes for 1.5 quarts to reach a full, rolling boil. A higher setting boils water faster, but I was not in any rush. The built-in timer threw me for a couple of minutes -- at first I thought I set it for 9 minutes, but then the number wasn't getting any lower and I realized I had actually set it for 9 hours. The display shows hours and minutes, rather than minutes and seconds. Duh. When using the timer, the display toggles back and forth every few seconds between timer and the set temp or wattage. When the time was up, the unit stopped, and the water became still literally within seconds, similar to how it is when cooking with gas. The "H" displays while the unit cools. It is really super efficient and I am looking forward to experimenting. The surface is large enough that even my 5.5 quart pot fits on it. The one photo shows how the size of the unit compa

Quiet, sleek, powerful, with low power setting good for delicate foods. Empava did a nice job with this cooktop. It is a noticeable step up from my previous 1500 watt cooktop, both in maximum power output 1800 watts, and in overall user experience. At 13-¾” deep front to back, it's a little longer than my old cooktop. The cooking surface is the same size, but the touch panel with its extra features of questionable value (see below) extends out over the edge of my cluttered countertop. I use my cooktop primarily for making coffee in my stainless steel stovetop espresso maker. It takes two button presses to turn the induction coil on to its default setting of half power, or 900 watts, which finishes the brew in two minutes. With the small footprint of my espresso pot, the unit is very sensitive to centering it in the cooking area. It turns off the heating coil, beeps, and displays a symbol if you don't have your cookware centered. I also use it to boil water for tea. You can adjust the power output in 100 watt increments down to 300 watts continuous. It also has 200w and 100w settings, but to achieve these, it is on at 300 watts for several seconds and then off for several seconds. The 300 watt minimum is less likely to burn delicate foods while cycling than my old cooktop, which I think was 600 watts minimum during cycling. My watt meter shows that the power output is close but consistently about 5% less than the nominal wattage. The flat surface touch panel is a bit cluttered

Works well and is energy efficient. I gave this induction cooktop a workout and am quite pleased with its performance. I timed bringing 2 cups of water to a boil on our electric kitchen range and the Empava induction cooktop. The induction system easily won, cutting the time by about a half. I found the preset simmer function to be just right for steaming some frozen green peas. The touch controls are easy to get used to. I used the watts setting of 1800 to get the water to boil and then tapped the button for simmer. 6 minutes later the peas were done to how I like them. That was done in a magnetic stainless steel pot. I also used my ceramic coated aluminum frypan. The pan has a magnetic steel insert and worked perfectly when I sauteed some spinach. The timer function was perfect for simmering ingredients for a pot of home made vegetable chicken soup. This induction cooktop worked as well as I hoped it would. The reduction in energy used makes it well suited for use at our off grid recreational cabin. Be aware that all the cookware must be magnetic. Test with anymagnet; if it sticks, you're good to go.

Great burner for cooking. I ordered this induction burner to use when traveling in my RV. It will be a great cooking option. The burner has eighteen different heat settings so you can really dial in the cooking temperature. Once you are done cooking the burner's display lets you know that the burner is still hot until it cools sufficiently. The burner worked well with my existing pans but they are induction compatible.
★★★★★ Bill August 25, 2025
Well Designed Induction Burner. The Heating Element came well packaged and seems solidly designed. Be aware that as an induction cooktop the pans you use need to be ferrous/iron based for it to work (I have alot of teflon style frying pans that are aluminum that won't work). You can verify which ones will work with a magnet. True to the instructions the cooktop heated quickly and adjustment of the temperature was easy. The instructions do a good job of detailing how to use temperature or watts for your cooking. The cord on the unit seems long enough to use most anywhere and the built in fan for the internal electronics was pretty quiet and not annoying. Overall I think this will be a great addition to my RV cooking arsenal allowing me to do some cooking outside.

Heats Quickly, Compact, Many Functions. This is a nice, slim, and compact heating plate. I got this as an accessory for my bar-b-que area. The controls functions are easily identified. There are a lot of great options beyond your regular hot plate. The ability to keep things warm or simmer is a nice option. This plate brought a small pot to boil within 20 seconds...awesome. very handy, lightweight, and easy to store.
★★★★★ HomeDepotCustomer August 22, 2025
Heats Up Fast. The cooktop was shipped quickly and was packed very well. Initially when I tried to use it, it wasn't heating. I further read the instruction manual and found out that it will not work with my non-magnetic stainless cookware. The product description on the Home Depot website says it works with "MOST" stainless. The description should be changed on the product page of the website to specify that it will not work with non-magnetic stainless. It did however work perfectly with my cast iron Dutch oven of which it quickly and efficiently cooked some tasty homemade vegetable soup. Other than the issue with not being able to use my non-magnetic stainless, the cooktop performed great on my cast iron. I also tried it with a cast iron frying pan, and it worked great on it as well.
★★★★★ Dewey August 21, 2025
Good unit to get started in induction cooking. 95% of my cookware is induction ready (magnet tested). This unit is lightweight, portable and powerful enough for all but my largest kettles (my AllClad wok fits great). Just to give it a test run, I performed a boiled water test using cold tap water (see photos). 32oz of cold tap water took 6'33" to come to a full boil using our natural gas range; the induction burner knocked that time down to 3'55" @ 1500W, not 1800W max. Very impressive difference. After using the burner for a few days, we're already thinking that a full conversion to induction is on our radar.
★★★★★ DrW August 21, 2025
Cooks Wonderfully. This induction cooktop is amazing! It has several power and temperature settings. I heated three cups of cream of broccoli soup right out of the fridge in under six minutes at a medium power and temp setting. This unit will replace my crock pots as they only do "high" and "low" settings, plus crock pots take a lot of storage room. One of things that I love about it is the size. Large enough for a 9-inch pot or pan. I used the “melt” function to melt a cup of chocolate chips and it came out perfectly! (They went into a batch of brownies.) I have not yet used the “simmer” setting, but plan to the next time that I make soup. Our house has a separate suite including a small kitchenette, and we have frequent visitors. My sister likes to have an early breakfast, and now she can cook whatever she wishes without disturbing the rest of us by making noise in the main kitchen at 6 a.m.

Nearly perfect? Performance for price can't be beaten (much less expensive than other similar offerings). Haven't had it very long, so can't comment on how it lasts, yet. Works exactly as described - and way better than standard stovetop. Not, huge - doesn't take up too much space, but on the other hand, limited in pan (skillet) size - my usual (mebbe 11" ?) skillet is just a tad too big for the induction area, so the edges of pan surface tend not to heat too well, except via heat transferred from the center part of the pan that does get heated by the induction surface.
Truly heats up *immediately* (not just in the overused marketing sense). Very easy to control heat setting - one sees immediate results, not like having to wait for a regular electric stovetop to heat up or cool down upon control change - and never knowing just when the new setting heat level is reached - none of that here. Not as much better than gas stove cooking, but also, none of the issues with burning a fossil fuel directly in your kitchen - if you're concerned about such things.
All-in-all very much what i wanted and expected, except perhaps handling larger pans.
★★★★★ Cain Brogan August 4, 2025
Bang for Buck. This is as functional and as esthetically pleasing burner as can be, and at a price less expensive than any other. I love looking up what Temp F to cook different foods, and have improved my cooking at age 51. I now want to replace my stovetop with something very similar. It's really good sized as is, but not at all heavy. I've had a 5-6 porcelain/iron sauce pot forever and was so happy to see the burner reached side to side. And the time it takes to het food up to Temp is really amazing, it'll get things simmering in seconds.

★★★★★ Josh April 16, 2025
You tell me. So compared to my normal stove top (which is like those metal spirals that get hot) this can boil the same pot of water in literally less than a quarter of the time and the heating is actually perfectly even. I'm so beyond impressed by the degree that you can dial in the temperature and the fact that minor spills landing on the heating element don't burn because it doesn't get hot except exactly where your pot/pan is making contact with the surface, you can even put your bare hand on it. It's so much easier to clean too and it looks nice on the kitchen counter. This has 100% replaced using my stove top except in scenario's where I need multiple burners.
My one con though - and I would dock a star for it but frankly since I've never used an induction stove top before I don't know if this is just normal but there is a high pitched squealing noise from what I can only guess is like a super sonic vibration but I can only hear it when certain stainless steel lids are placed -just so- on the pot... so... I mean it's really an aweful noise but as long as I'm mindful of it and re-adjust the placement of the lid I can mitigate the sound so you tell me? I mean it would be enough to be a deal breaker and return if this unit wasn't so awesome in every other way and the fact that I can mitigate the issue... so simply due to my ignorance on these stove tops if this is just a normal thing I feel like I have to give 5 stars.... but if my unit is faulty then 4.

Rating provided by a verified purchaser. Works great with my cast iron pan! I can make the full meal in the pan before my cast iron handle even gets too hot! Very fast heat up of bottom of cast iron, ready to cook!
Did not work with the stainless steel, ceramic, and sams clubs pots and pans we own. Luckily we had our cast iron. This is our first induction cook surface and luckily for us, this burner immediately lets you know if the pan is going to work on it or not!
I wish the owners manual gave the equivalent of the watts as compared to say "medium" on the stove. Anotherwords, 300 watts, 400 watts... all the way up to 1000watts, but those selections dont mean anything to me so I am not sure which one to choose when I want to fry eggs. Not sure which wattage to choose if I were to sear a steak, etc.
Maybe people who really know how to use induction cook surfaces know this, but I did not.
So I am trial and erroring these wattage increments to see how hot they are or not. I fried my eggs on 500 watts this morning

Fantastic Induction stove. I never use more than on stove for cooking so my first impressions are that it is perfectly adequate for cooking even with larger pots. With 1800watts (15 amps) this stovetop is no joke. Taking it out of the packaging, it looks classy, sturdy and well made, yet refined, glossy and contemporary and somehow you would think that it would lack much capacity. Instead, it heats up in an instant. Literally, an instant. Fry eggs, turn it on and in 3 seconds the inner surface of the pan is hot enough to heat up the butter and fry it. I never had an induction stovetop for one main reason - prices were prohibitively high. this one however is such a bargain that I just can't miss. Besides, I never use PTFE/PFOA/PFAS pans, only stainless steel and they are both practically made for each other. Cooking experience is overall shortened a lot, no down time for waiting it to heat up or cool down. You can literally put your hands on it - only thing that heats up is your pan. It is so much safer around kids, or small spaces where you constantly risk touching it while moving things around. I particularly liked the sensing technology which immediately turns it off when the pan/pot is removed. Even with the cooling fan at the bottom, it is very quiet, and with the customizable touch temp setting at the highest it emits no humming or buzzing sound. The tempered glass top is thick enough to withstand occasion glass drops and scuffs and cleans very easy with just a damp clot

Sturdy and Beautifully Designed Hot Plate. Overall, this sleek looking hot plate does its job, making it simple to cook and easy to clean. It's got weight to it, and it is sturdy. Great to bring on camping trips as a backup single burner electric stove or if you're vacationing in a log cabin that uses gas stove but you prefer to use a simple electric stove. This hot plate also arrived well packaged, no nicks or scratches found on the face of the hot plate.

Well-made induction cookto--cooks evenly and quickly. This portable cooktop is definitely well-made, and looks great out of the box. It is a nice size to fit on any countertop. It comes with a detailed instruction manual that provides the different cook modes and special modes (melt, keep warm, and simmer). Our first use was to cook 6 scrambled eggs, with a bit of milk and some shredded cheese. The manual tells you about the power levels (100-1800 watts) but doesn't recommend any settings to use for a particular item or purpose. We guessed at 1200 watts, put the frying pan on the burner, then poured the egg with milk into the pan, cold from the fridge. That was a perfect level, as the eggs cooked fully in about 2 1/2 minutes without burning. The burner appeared to heat the pan evenly--there were no obvious areas that were less hot during cooking. We had finished eggs much more quickly than our glass cooktop range would do. The display shows the watt level when set, but it will go into standby mode until the cooktop senses a pan on it. If no pan is placed on it, it will go unto standby mode (showing a u and a dash and beeping) for 30 seconds before turning off. It shows an H after use until the surface is cool again. You do need to have a magnetic pan for the cooktop (or any induction burner) to work--our older RevereWare pans are some sort of clad alloy and do not work). Overall, this is an excellent product that is well-made, functions well, cooks evenly and quickly, and sho

Perfect versatile and multi use electric cook plate. I love risotto but i hate cooking it. Not anymore. With this electric cooktop cooking foods that require slow low heat cooking can be cooked perfectly and with ease with this unit. When i made the risotto, while i still needed to stir it, I didnt have to do it constantly as with a standard electric or gas burner. I only needed to stir once in awhile and I had no burning or scourching. I had the same experience with a cream based soup. This appliance is very versatile. It has a couple of standard presets but it also permits you to increase or decrease the wattage or the temperature. Its also an attractive appliance and one that is easy to keep clean. It does require magnetized pots and pans for use but its easy to check whether your pot or pan is magnetic with a regular magnet or even one of those magnetic refrigerator stickers.

Well-Made Unit. Quality rates a 5. Functionality rates a 1, therefore an overall rating of 3. This is a very nice unit, and I was looking forward to a similar unit for my remodeled kitchenette, which only had a microwave on the quartz counter top. Guess I had forgotten the limitations of an induction unit. I found out that all my metal pans, except for 1 pot, which I was thinking I could use, have stainless steel bottoms, so can't be used. Another thing, it says not to have near other electrical units. Unfortunately for us, our only counter space available is near our microwave. The digital display is easy to read and use and has several modes of operation. The unit appears to be well made.

Rating provided by a verified purchaser. This is a good quality spacious countertop single burner hot plate cooker. It was a little confusing at first when trying to initially set the temperature levels and access all the features, but once I figured it out, it was easy and works well. Performance is not top of the line, but on par with many cooktops, and is especially useful in situations where you don't have other options or need more burners to cook on beyond what you have. This includes when camping, when you're cooking for a big crowd at a get-together and have a lot of different food dishes cooking at once, if you're a student in a dorm, or renter with just a room or small studio apartment without a full kitchen. This is a great option for these types of situations. And I love that it will auto-shutoff if left on to ensure there are no safety risks.

Works well, with caveats. As the title of my review says "works well, with caveats". I was able to fry up 2 eggs over medium in about 1 minute 20 seconds. It gets food hot so fast you need to be at the ready and that was at about 3/4 of the wattage. I think this would be amazing for some stir fry. Here are the caveats: you must have "compatible cookware" larger than 5 inches in diameter at the base. So that means stainless steel, cast iron or cookware specifically designed for induction cooking. It took me a little bit to figure that out and I thought at first this unit was defective. Also, the burner did not heat to the same temperature across the entire surface. In my pics, you can see the front edge of the pan where the egg is still clear and runny, but only in that spot. Overall its decent and I will most likely use it at our cabin in the woods for a quick meal.

Perfect extra burner or cooking in an emergency. Such a great little induction burner to have on hand for many different reasons.
- and extra burner for holidays that also works as a warming burner to keep buffet items hot.
- for use when we camp with our solar panels to supply the energy
- in with my emergency prep supplies to be able to cook if we don't have use of our natural gas range
Lots of nice features and a nice size to use any of my pans on.

Heats up fast! I needed an extra burner when cooking soups and spaghetti sauce in my larger pots which are a bit too large for the stove as it's pretty much up to the vent). First time I've used an induction stove. I'm super impressed at how quickly water heats and the variety of settings, including melt, warming…. Plus, with the burner being flat, it's super easy to clean.
When it's time for a new stove, I'll be moving from gas to induction for sure!
