Rating provided by a verified purchaser. We are extremely happy with this cooktop after a little over 3 months usage. Assembly and installation was a breeze (measure carefully to make sure it fits your cutout!). The middle burner is HOT. You will need adequate ventilation for the higher BTUs, but wok cooking is greatly improved. We use it almost every time we cook. The layout is a bit awkward if you're not using the center burner, as the pans are off to the sides and straining the edges of the ventilation system. If possible a 33- or even a 36-inch hood would be a good idea. That's the only real issue. When using the center burner with a wok or large frying pan, there's not much room for the corner burners, but that's pretty much baked into the design concept, so an acceptable trade-off. Clean-up is easy if you wipe it every time. So far we haven't had an issue with the control knobs melting, but we're pretty careful. This cooktop is incredible value for money... We wish we had upgraded from our old white porcelain top YEARS ago

Empava 30in stovetop. This is a beautiful 30in gas stovetop. It fit in my 19 inch deep (front to back) cutout perfectly to replace a 14 year old GE. The directions for a "DIY" are terrible. YouTube videos help but don't aways provide the answers you need. The main gas line to the stovetop is plastic. That surprised me. One source said don't tape or put dope on the plastic pipe, a second said use Teflon tape absolutely. I tried both. I attached the regulator first with no tape... gas bubbles. PTFE tape... no leak. Use tape or dope on the plastic threads. My understanding is you have to be careful not to use compounds that melt plastic. That said, all burners work and light instantly (the main reason for replacing the GE is the burners failing to light). I'm looking forward to seeing if this cooktop lasts
GOOD. IT WORKS. BUT VERY POOR GRATE DESIGN.. For the price, this is a decent gas range. However, you can do better in the same price range. The design of the top grates is what really disappointed me. The total amount of surface area taken up by the product is the amount that is in contact with the counter-top - let's call that the base area of the product. You would expect that the total surface area provided by the grates, upon which you place your pans to do cooking, would be close to the base area. In this product, it is not. They wasted so much space that the pans on the rear two burners have hardly any grate support. This is where you expect to place your largest pans. If you look at the side measurement photo, you see that they could have made the grate more vertical and captured more usable space - up to a half inch on each side or an inch in total. What is really bad though is the front and (mostly) the rear design. If you look at the front-rear photos, you see that the total base in 20 inches in depth. However, the total usable grate space is only 15 1/4 inches. The worst part is that they had they had the space on the foundation of the grate to add another cross bar that would have provided much more usable space. This is true both on the front and back. The practical impact is that the rear burners are difficult to use because there is hardly any grate surface back there. Take a look at how much space there is between the large rear burner and the rear-most grate cross-bar - hardly any. Same is true in the front but you tend to use smaller pans so the impact is not as severe. Minus two stars because this is an inexcusably poor design other than to save the cost of a couple of cross-bars. Additionally, look at the smallest front burner. There is hardly any grate for a pan to sit on and I have to be very careful to position it just right. Finally, the knobs are not real metal, they are plated. As you can see, the plating is bubbling. I'm not deducting for this considering the price. Note there is no thermocouple so if the flame extinguishes, the gas will not turn off automatically. The burners work well overall. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for them to ignite

Kitchen Update. I am in process of redoing our whole kitchen replacing all appliances w/ SS and redoing the cabinets. Empava hit the mark w/ its 30" gas countertop (5 burners). It was easy to install and looks great. The sturdy grill grates and BTU output was a bug plus...and the price was excellent. As a quick note, I call the company during install and they responded to my questions to make the install even smoother

Temperamental burner assemblies. The first unit didn't work after installation and I waited two weeks on shipping for the replacement. It's very attractive but the burners are temperamental. The crowns have to be placed just so, or the burners won't light even though gas is coming up. Took awhile to figure that out
The Empave 30 inch cooktop looks like a high end appliance and it works as good as it looks. The extra large burner in the middle is great! Clean up made easy thanks to the stainless steel surface and steel burners. Still looks new after a few uses. Great price for this cooktop. Easy installation.

I bought it online after reading reviews, and at almost half the price of competitors felt that it was a safe bet. I was caught off guard by the quality and ease of installation (requires some experience, if in doubt hire a pro). The cast iron is sustantial and the stainless surface performs beter than expected. After 3 months of daily use, still no stains or blemishes. I have even cooked a three gallon pot of soup (about 25 lbs) on it without any issue. The only thing I would change is a lower setting on the small burner, for simmering at low temps. Definitely an A+ product

Heavy, solid cooktop with clean lines metal knobs are bigger than most and they look substantial. I love the middle burner!. This cooktop was the best price from cooktop market than anywhere. It arrived on time..just after our granite was installed. Burners are very strong and rarely needs to be on high. I use the large middle burner the most especially for boiling water which takes half the time as my old cooktop. Also low heat isn't low enough for a real simmer but I resolved that by partially closing the shutoff valve for the gas line

Great Value and Quality. This cook top is a real bargain. I was looking for a good low cost replacement for our old tired unit and came across this one. This little gem is a real sleeper. Good Quality, easy to install AND so easy to clean. It comes ready for natural gas, but also includes parts for propane and unregulated natural gas. I would highly recommend this unit
