The cabinet edge is straight. The two lights are not much more than night lights - certainly do not help to light up the stove top. The installation instructions leave a lot to be desired. If I had not installed units like this before, it would have been very difficult. The template that comes with the unit is essentially useless. Our delivery was fast and the product package arrived in good condition

Stunning fan/hood . . . and quietly powerful, too ~~!! Not fond of the lights, which are too blue-ish, but that's a very small thing! Replacing the built-in microwave with a fan hood has provided so much more space to access stove top cooking, in this small kitchen. Previously difficult to monitor items simmering on the back burner. The new hood is beautiful quality~~!!

The suction are powerful and the noise from the fan is more quieter than other range hood I've own in the past. What make this a 5 star is the competitive pricing. The led isn't that bad, but would love and appreciate a brighter led lights. Maybe that's something the manufacturer could consider for future improvement. For the installation, It's pretty much straight forward

Great price, powerful, and look good. It's been more than 2 months now with the range hood installed and it work wonderfully good. Installation took a little longer than expected. The template was slightly off. But if you place the template on top of the range hood and make the cut out on the template, you should be able to cut and make the necessary hole easily. I would definitely purchase the range hood again.

Top notch suction action. We purchased this Empava hood to replace an old under-cabinet microwave hood. Installation was very easy with good instruction. It fits perfectly, looks very modern, and really opened up the space over the cooktop. I cook a lot of aromatic dishes and am really impressed with how effortlessly the hood is moving those cooking odors out of my kitchen. The lights are bright enough to give a good view of my cooking space even when all other lights are off. And the dishwasher-safe stainless steel filters help safe money long term! I had two issues with the installation. One was the cardbord template they supplied, it was a little bit off on one hole location. Remeasure all the location holes on the hood to confirm the actual location points. The other was the 6 inch exaust outlet. My 6 inch exaust pipe was very difficult to fit over it, since both had the same dia. However there are special adaptor rings available from your hardwood store, so they fit properly together. This is my first baffle filter hood, looks great and overall satisfied with all the functions and performance . How well it collects the grease in the back tray is too early to report since I just installed it. I would recomend this hood

The 3 stars are for the filters on this unit. A welcomed upgrade to the old mesh ones. The unit is loud and the lights are not bright at all and no way to change them out.

Not a bad unit for the price. It's a solid unit and heavier than the cheaper ones. The lights are not very powerful and I will need to replace them with stronger ones. I wish the low settings was a quieter. Also it's a plug in unit. Would be nice if I could have converted to a wired in.

As for installation, The template provide was slightly off. But if you place the template on top of the Range Hood and make the cut out, It should work out fine. The one thing that I would suggest to the manufacturer is to replace the current LED light with a brighter one

Nice unit, BUT with install issues.. I like the product, however the carboard templet that was included for predrilling screw holes turned out to be 0.5 inches off horizontally, and 0.25 inches off verticality. I had to redrill everything for a successful install! Check the accuracy of the templet first

Nice range hood. I would have given this 5 stars except for 2 reasons. The first being it wasn't that easy to install as it was hard to get to some of the screw holes and the installation instruction manual is not very clear. I also am extremely disappointed in the lights as I was expecting them to be very bright and would shine down on my range so that I didn't have to turn on the kitchen ceiling light. At best, they make good night lights. I am hoping that I can replace them with brighter ones, as the are not helpful at all in lighting the surface area. Other than that, it is a really good looking piece and fits in with the rest of my appliances

Great Value. This range hood is quite attractive and had several configuration options (which was important to us, since we were replacing a 15-year-old hood). Installatoin required two people and some minor electrical knowledge (our old hood was direct wired, and this hood came with an electical plug, so a box had to be installed). Otherwise, it went in fairly easily. It works well, although the overhead lights are not very bright
