Kamado Joe Grill Expander – Classic Joe

Like a charm! Works as expected and high quality product. Effectively doubling the space.

Arrived broken. Expander arrived broken poking out of the box. I contacted customer service for another one, but they recommended a refund and said it would probably get damaged in the second shipment. For some reason, they are not willing to ship it in another box to protect it, crazy. Was told I have to wait two weeks to process the warranty claim for another one to get shipped. Terrible customer service.

Never Arrived. I ordered this on January 8. It's February 21, and FedEx still says "shipping exception" and it's sitting somewhere in Mississippi.

Works great - minor issue. I bought this to expand the capacity of my KJC III, and it works great. The only issue I have is that you can't use it with the slo-roller if the grates are at the top-most setting because the lid won't close.

Great for smoking. I needed a way to help fit additional racks of ribs on my KonnectedJoe. This was an easy way to get that third rack of ribs on without having to cut them in half and still keep them flat while cooking.

Shipped and received damaged. This product showed up damaged and destroyed. I emailed about it and no one has emailed me back. I’ve found no other way of getting customer support for a refund or exchange.

Doubled My Cook Space. This worked out well for us by almost doubling our cook space. We were able to cook everything for our group in a single cook.

Fits well. Expander very sturdy. Fits on the lower grill correctly and takes up very little cooking space. Is tall enough to flip meat on the lower grill witrhout problems.

Damaged due to bad packaging. The main problem I have is with the shipping department of Kamado Joe. Everything I have ordered has been poorly packed and thus damaged during shipping. The grill extender legs were bent to the point the extender will not fill securely on the grill.

Grill expander. Worked fine, does what it's suppose to do, have not received 1/2 soapstone that came with order yet

Really gets Meat Into the Dome. Cooked both PIzza and Wings with this. It put the meat well into the dome. Really helped with crisping and browning.

Much needed accessory for the Classic Joe. Well built accessory to add cooking space to a modest size grill.

Poor packaging. Expander came damaged, packaged poorly. Hope to have replaced and excited to use one!

Arrived with one leg bent out of the box. We were able to forcibly push on the grate enough to nearly bring this leg back to true, and if positioned carefully in the grill it did work.

Worthless-bend. Bend. And Kamado refused to replace it. Kamado does not care

Must have. More room for food. Great addition for large parties or adding extras that don’t need to be closer to the fire.

Great addition! I needed extra space for a block party we were hosting. This expander was the perfect addition to my grill. The only negative is how the expander sits on top of the grates. It would be nice if there was a more secure connection.

Extra Grilling Space. This really added a whole new dynamic to my Kamodo classic 2 I love all the extra grilling room for things like corn and veggies

Extra space. Solid add on that increases grill volume for bigger cooks

Who wouldn’t want another slab of ribs? What can I say? This does exactly what it is supposed to do. It’s a second cooking grate. The craftsmanship is outstanding. Now I find myself just looking for an extra slab of ribs or another pack of wings to throw on the grill. Because, why not?

Nice rack. The extra space is nice! The notches to keep it in place work well.

Much needed for big cookouts. I purchased this product right before Thanksgiving and I needed it. I was able to smoke approximately 30lbs of beef ribs with the added surface space. I love it and a must need if your family is a greedy as mine!
