Maestro Portable Blind Stitch Sewing Machine For Hemming

Super happy with the hemmer. Before purchasing this, I had never used a blind hemming machine. It was so easy to master. It is a solid, heavy piece of equipment that is completely portable. I’m very happy with this and would highly recommend it.

Love mynew Reliable blind hemmer. This machine is fabulous! It was easy to set up, and I was using it the same day it arrived. I've had no difficulties with it and am thrilled that it can handle some heavier fabrics than my old hemmer could. My only issue is that the little bottle of oil opened up during shipping, and everything in the box was covered with oil! It might be good to package the oil in a leakproof bag. It was a real mess to deal with. Otherwise, no problems. The manual is clear and concise.

Sew like a professional! I have always wanted a machine like this for professional sewing results but I wasn’t aware there were any home versions available. I learned about this model from another seamstress, let me tell you it is so easy to use and gives 100% professional results!

Great addition to machine collection. This powerhouse blind hem stitch machine does the job it was intended for. I am gradually learning it and adjusting the few simple knobs to each clothing article I work with. The needle is very difficult to thread and I am thus far not able to use needle threader for this.

Worth getting. Excellent machine works exactly as advertised. Great cost for a great machine. Wonderful value.

Great machine. We are very satisfied with our new Maestro 600SB. We have already made a lot of sewing with great success.

Up and Running Fast. I have no prior experience with blind hemmers but I studied online by watching videos before purchasing and using this. I set aside a couple of hours to set up and learn it and found it rather straight-forward to figure out. The hardest part about use is threading the curved needle as there isn't much clearance but I'm delighted that it comes with tweezers. I also use the aid of my serger threader tool at times. It's something that is easily perfected by practice. (Investing in a light may help if you struggle with threading needles.) My only disappointment is that within the first 2 uses I somehow lost the plastic shield and screws. They must have jiggled loose when I didn't notice and now I cannot locate them. I wish the connection was a bit more solid and resistant to vibration, but hopefully if I contact Reliable I can get a replacement without it costing very much. I have enjoyed hemming items for a musical and I'm awaiting a batch of uniforms. I will enjoy the process much more this year with a dedicated hemmer.

A Must Have for Every Small Business. I am thrilled with this purchase, to say the least. It creates such a professional blind hem at a price that small, homemade clothing businesses can afford. Truthfully, I held off on purchasing this for some time because a previous review made it seem overly complicated. Nevertheless, I bit the bullet and ordered it, and it sat in my sewing studio for three weeks, untouched, because I was so worried I wouldn't be able to figure it out. I am so glad I did. I slowly went through the manual, step by step, and watched a YouTube video I randomly found before attempting to set it up. It was MUCH easier than I imagined to be, and I managed to hem a pair of my husband's Brooks Brothers suit pants 10 minutes later (I practiced a few times on a scrap piece of fabric first). I would be genuinely surprised if the quality of blind hem produced by this machine was matched by *any* home sewing machine currently available. They are jack of all trades, masters of none as they say. I'm so bummed, because after purchasing this I started looking for other "specialty" sewing machines I could use for my children's clothing business, but could not find any others remotely in this price range. So Reliable Corp. should start creating more "home studio" versions of the industrial machines that they sell; just my two cents. I highly recommend this machine if you are looking to create a professional blind hem on your clothing items, but do not have the money (or spa
