Masterbuilt Gravity Series® Rotisserie Kit

No bird unturned. Great product! easy to set up and use. Give the bird a nice even cook! No complaints!

Not a good idea to order this with an XT. In combination with my purchase of an XT, I ordered this rotisserie. Once I had assembled my Masterbuilt, I tried to install the unit. It was EXTREMELY difficult and the instructions were not clear at all. The rotisserie came with 3 different shafts, ostensibly to accommodate everything from the 560 to the XT. However, NONE of the shafts fit. The short shaft is way too short, the middle-sized shaft is too short, and the long shaft is about 1/4 inch too long. Plus, the directions say not to leave the unit installed between uses, so it must be installed and then removed between uses - at least a 30-minute process each time. RIDICULOUS.

Motor is junky. The set up is nice but motor didn’t work out of the box. I bought a new one from lss mods. I did get they the motor to work by helping it spin with some pliers and it works now so I’ll have a back up.

BE AWARE IT HAS A SERIOUS ISSUE! Watch the videos on YouTube. It still does the same thing it's been doing. When it heats up the motor stalls because the fixture the spit rod goes into expands, seizes up and doesn't spin or it will completely unscrew itself. I would have thought they would have fixed this issue after 5+ years but nope!

Rotisserie and control panel sucks. Had it for about 6 years with 2 of their grills. Rotisserie worked maybe 2 times and spins and then reverses. Put it up for a couple years and bought a basket for chicken wings and it spins 1/4 turn and falls backwards 1/2 turn. Save your money and buy roto q 360. Can’t be this bad. O and go ahead if you buy Masterbuilt gravity feed go ahead and buy the controller panel with it. Won’t last a year. On my 3rd grill and 4th panel

Engineered for upgrades. This Rotisserie will last a long time. I can't believe it comes ready to fit bigger models so when I upgrade to a larger smoker, I don't have to buy another Rotisserie. Great job Masterbuilt!

Rotisserie. The master built rotisserie attachment is of very good quality it works great for my chicken and kabobs pork roast and so on i absolutely love it and the food that I cook i have great results with

Very underpowered motor. Motor seems very underpowered. Rod oscillated in one direction then back instead of performing full revolutions. Something is very wrong that should have been caught and corrected long before I purchased this. $120 down the drain as I'm not going through that again.

Love it! I’ve made chicken, pork tenderloin, vegetables in a basket, brats in a basket, chicken wings in a basket. It’s all good!

Must have. Great addition to a excellent grill. You will never want a store bought rotisserie ever again. We'll worth it.

Extremely finicky motor, disappointing performance. Holy moly. Cool in theory, nightmare in reality. Extremely sensitive to weight distribution. If it is not near exactly evenly distributed weight, the motor will cease to function. Tried to do a smoked turkey (13lbs) laced it multiple times to limit the weight from shifting as the rotisserie turned… and without fail it would maybe turn for five minutes before squealing and stopping. We are using it with a 1080, so maybe it’s because the bar is long enough where it starts to bow even with something well under the weight limit and that’s the culprit? Very disappointing overall, not worth the effort or hassle to use.

Easiest rotisserie chicken every. Start the smoker, load up a bird, and turn it on. It's that easy. I've made 2 chickens at a time and even a perfectly cooked 18 pound turkey for Thanksgiving.

Awesome Accessory. I’ve cooked a few chickens with it. The come out cooked evenly and juicy. Definitely worth the money.

Not as expected. Worked great the first time but stopped turning consistently after. I contacted customer service but they never contacted me back.

Does the job. I've used my rotisserie about 5 times since I purchased my MB800 about 2 months ago and the heaviest protein i put on it was like 12lbs and it handled it with no issues.

Don't waste your money. I generally like to purchase accessories from the smoker manufacturer, but I am done with Masterbuilt. I have purchased two of these rotisserie kits. The first one failed halfway through cooking a 7 pound turkey breast. I thought I just had a bad unit, so I bought another one which didn't make a single revolution before stopping with two six pound chickens on it. I had to rotate the spit by hand every 15 minutes during the cook. For the price, I would expect a couple of years of use, but I can't get a single cook completed on this junk. I love my 1050, but would love to be able to use the rotisserie without issues.

Doesn’t fully rotate! My daughter bought me this for Christmas 2024. I just now got a chance to use it 9/24/25. Motor doesn’t spin the rotisserie all the way around. Only really cooked one half of my 2 chickens. I had to manually rotate them myself.

Great accessory. If you are on the fence about this and love rotisserie this is a must have. Game changer.

Great addition to 800 series. I got this for my 800. The rotisserie installed in no time and is quite easy to use as well as clean up. Having the ability to add this to your cooker really opens up more options and I love that. Most pellet grills don’t have thus option. I also found the price to be reasonable. I recommend this arrangement to expand on what you can turn out with what I consider the most versatile cooker out there, the 800 series.

Complete trash. Absolutely garbage! For the price of this it should work flawless. It stops, binds up and reverses. When the temperature of your grill increases the worse it gets. It won't even make a full revolution. It goes clockwise and then counterclockwise about a 1/4 turn is all. Don't waste your money on this garbage.

Works well, had to file down a small part to make work correctly but once I did it was great.

Great accessory for Gravity XT grill. Recently bought the Gravity Series XT and purchased the rotisserie kit along with it. Great addition for the grill. Only complaint is the tight tolerance when inserting or removing the rod.

Rotisserie for Gravity. Unfortunately, this is not a very good product. After I attempted to use it for the first ti e, I found multiple reviews about the same problem. It only rocks back and forth about 1/4 turn. I attempted the fixes I saw online and none worked for me. I did reach out to Masterbuilt. They sent an email just yesterday asking for proof of purchase. That was a fast response. So I only hope they stand behind their products. I really expected something that worked a lot better.

Awesome accessory. I have ten 1050 and have had the rotisserie a long time. I have make 2 chickens on it at one time most times. What’s great with the 1050 I smoke it for a little bit and then cook it for the ending. Fantastic

Great Add on. I really love this rotisserie kit. It’s awesome with a Costco pork loin that you can grill and base just the right temperature to perfection.. Equally it good for Picanha.

The Rotisserie Turns My 560 Into a new machine. The Masterbuilt Rotisserie turned my Gravity Series 560 into a backyard smokehouse on steroids. Unlocked a whole new way to cook! I've been having fun finding new things to cook on the rotisserie! So far I've done turkey (had to right?!) tacos al pastor and lamb shawarma. The rotisserie worked great after adding a little clearance to one end of the skewer, and I found that it can be powered with a battery pack and 5v to 12v usb cable.

Not great. Gave it away. Kind of a pain to setup when you want to use it, and then it didn't work very well. Tried the fixes I found online to make it work better, but still had issues with the rotation....which is the whole purpose of a rotisserie. SO I gave it away.

rotisserie motor lasted less than 10 minutes. 4 lb chicken . extremely disappointed in the quality of motor and cord/plug.

Weakest motor ever. Motor is supremely underpowered. Struggles to spin 1 chicken let alone 3. Can't spin a weber crisper basket even when empty. I have deburred the inside of the adapter sleeve and adapter itself so it spins obstruction free but still has issues with torque. I immediately purchased an upgraded motor to replace this weak one. Live my master built but this is a joke.

Avoid this product. Received this as a birthday gift and was extremely excited to use it. Followed the instructions to set up the product, and the motor will not spin properly. Keep in mind I am trying to cook a 4 lb. Chicken, which the motor should handle with ease. Unbelievably frustrating and frankly unacceptable. Do better, Masterbuilt

Fantastic rotisserie kit. I've only used this twice but it has been great so far. My first cook was a pair of sirloin roasts that turned out incredibly juicy and flavorful. The second was a pair of chickens that completely blew any groceries store rotisserie chickens away

Rotisserie king. This addition is so perfect. Easy to install, and it becomes a permanent attachment in my case. I have cooked 2 chickens at once, a turkey, I love it.

Gravity rotisserie. This is a good idea but the product needs some work. I got a few good runs out of it but it's started seizing up when hot a metal swelling making it unable to spin. I give this statement because I know this is a common issue and if it can be repaired by sanding the shaft it should be made that way from the factory.

It does exactly what it promises—rotates your meat evenly for that juicy, all-around sear and flavor. It's especially great for whole chickens or roasts, giving you that classic rotisserie finish. However, one drawback is that the meat doesn’t always latch securely onto the rod. If not positioned just right, it can start to sag or spin unevenly inside the rod rather than rotating smoothly with it. It takes a bit of trial and error to get it locked in properly. That said, when everything’s set up correctly, it works really well and adds a nice touch to your smoking setup.

Great Rotisserie! I grew up having a rotisserie on our BBQ. It's hard to find one now, so I was pleasantly surprised when I got this for Christmas. It works great and is big enough to hold 2 whole chickens at once. I'm looking forward to trying other things on it in the future.

Don't. The Rotisserie, is not worth the time or trouble. I never could get it to operate properly. Out of the box, with nothing mounted the rotisserie skewer would not make a complete rotation. The customer support team worked with me to resolve the problem. They sent replacement parts including a new motor and rod. After installing the new motor and rod it appeared to work and I tried cooking a relatively small pork roast – 4.25lbs – skewered lengthwise through the center. It stopped working half way through the cook. It seems like this rotisserie option was an afterthought. A grill of this size and price should not offer a rotisserie option that is overly sensitive to balance and limited to 10lbs in weight. Don’t buy it, you won’t need it. The 1050 provides multi levels for cooking and you can achieve some wonderful results without a rotisserie. The customer service team is outstanding! They did a great job and they were willing to go the extra mile to resolve the problem. They salvaged the bad experience with the rotisserie and boosted my overall satisfaction with the Masterbuilt products.

Perfect poultry. I've done several chickens and small turkeys. All came out perfect with a quick brine. Be sure to put all of the parts in a safe place.

This is the way to make whole birds and roasts. A rotisserie and a wireless thermometer on a gravity grill. It doesn't get easier. Set you temp, put you meat on the rotisserie, take it off when it hits temp. Consistent results and some of the best tasting, juicy, BBQ you can get.

Terrible! Very weak motor. Won’t even rotate 2 Chickens, even though the picture shows three.

Motor burns out or stops working. Had it for almost a year and motor stopped halfway through a cook. Just replaced the motor this last December and new one lasted a couple months. I love if it would work properly disappointed in the motor. Seems like it happens alot.

Didn’t last 10 minutes. This part of the grill broke the first time we used it. Didnt last 10 minutes so that was disappointing. Googled it and it seems to be an issue with a lot of people

Would not rotate. I loaded two 5 pound chickens on this and it would not rotate. It failed to do its job. I think the rods metal components were fine but the motor was severely underpowered.

Works! With a little effort. Works ok, there are some issues with metal expansion which bins the rottisserie. There are some YouTube videos out there to show how to fix.

wonderful addtion. I've used this addition to my gravity 800, and it makes the most wonderful chicken. You won't ever want a store bought rotisserie chicken!

Terrible design. This rotisserie is poorly designed, after an hour or two of heat, the metal in metal tube design seizes leaving the spit completely useless. I had to use sandpaper & high-temp food-grade grease to make this product workable. Would only recommend it you absolutely need a spit rotisserie attachment on this BBQ.

Not worth anything. Just oscillating, looked at all the fixes but no luck. The motor is just weak. Says it will do upto 20# but I can't get it to do 2 small chickens.

New out the box and.dont rotate all the way around. Just got and put it my grill with high hopes of a great chicken, says it works with 20 pounds of meat, so I put around 10 to 12 pounds on it and all it does is rock the baby goes so far around and reverses so it never goes all the way around, My son just saved his money, now to see about getting a refund Would I recommend no

Weak motor. The motor is weak. Roasted a 6.5 lb duck and the motor was severely under powered.

Good rotisserie! A good rotisserie, but only holds up to 10 lbs only. Unfortunately, thanksgiving turkey 2024 didn’t make the cut due to it being 18 lbs. ended up grilling in pan and was still a great success!

Broke after 3 cooks. Worked great for 3 cooks. Now it just clicks and won't rotate. Expensive trash.

Gravity Series Rotisserie Kit - Do Not Buy!!! Bought this unit last weekend and set it up with a whole chicken. It rotated properly for about 5 minutes and stopped. It would only go about 180 degrees and then it would reverse. It's junk and I wasted ~$100 on it.

Use the parts & get a more powerful universal kit. bought this rotisserie kit 2 weeks ago. Tested it out on the first day it arrived. The rotisserie has a 4 watt motor and is rated for 22lbs of meat. I put a 10lb turkey on it and the motor is so weak that it wouldn't even make a full rotation. It would rotate one direction so far and stop then, rotate the other direction so far and stop then, back the other direction so far and stop. After reading the other reviews I understood the disappointment. 1 good thing about buying this one for the gravity series is , Home Depot has a heavy duty universal one by Dyna-glo with powerful 9 watt motor, a counter balancer and components that match up with the Master Built rotisserie components like , the motor bracket and spit rod for the gravity series

Easy install, works like a charm. I’ve smoked many chickens on my rotisserie kit, they somehow manage to get better and better each time I do one. Huge props to the rotisserie kit for making me look like I know what I’m doing

Juicy, perfectly cooked chicken. I purchased the rotisserie kit along with my Masterbuilt 1050 almost a year ago but didn’t use it until last week Wednesday and boy was my family and I amazed at how succulent and juicy the chicken came out. It was so good we for the weekend and again for our Labor Day weekend. We can’t get enough of it. Great product thank you!

Cornish hens. I have made Cornish hens on here a few times and they turned out excellent

DON’T DO IT !!! Do not purchase this rotisserie attachment. Fresh out the box it would not ever make a full turn, only went 90° and then went in reverse if it turned at all. My brother gave me his unit thinking I had a bad one, but his did the same exact thing!!!! Total waist of money!!!!

We love it but it’s flawed. We’ve used this a few times and we do love it, however, as another review stated it will not rotate the full 360 degrees. We’ve done a pork loin and chickens and have had the same issues with both. We’ve tried distributing the weight differently helping it rotate but it will not it always stops at 180 degrees so one side gets really done and crispy and the other side not as much.

Great Rotisserie for whole Chicken. I recently purchased the masterbuilt rotisserie for my new 600 model. I have already cooked 2 whole chickens with it. The rotisserie works as it should. It holds 2 whole chickens with out issues and worked seamlessly

Round and round we go. I had to replace my Rotisserie system after only 2 uses. The motor quit on it way too quickly.

Motor needs help. Just tried mine and motor not powerful enough to handle more than one medium chicken. About 7 pounds. Tried two chickens and motor wouldn’t turn burned the breast but caught it before destroying the food

Rotisserie Failure. I put a whole chicken on my rotisserie and it wouldn’t even turn it. I googled it, and it said to balance the weight better, did that, didn’t help. I think it needs a more powerful motor.
