Quality product. The current design is much improved in that it no longer requires studs at exactly 48 inches. It's more flexible - fits more spaces - and still the biggest garage/wall shelf that I'm aware of.

Big! Very happy with the product. I purchased two 4x8 footers for our RV garage bay. I am not sure what I was expecting, but these are a lot larger than anticipated. Very easy installation that I did solo with a ladder and a small step stool.

Excellent Product & Cost Svc. I originally purchased from a rather huge online store but they botched up shipping so I canceled that order. I called NewAge and although they were unable to help with that specific order, they were incredibly friendly and actually less expensive buying direct. I bought 3 shelves (2) 4x8 and (1) 2x8. I put them up myself about 12 feet high so it wasn't an "easy" job but everything assembled perfectly. They have excellent people and the products are awesome as well. I would buy any of their products and highly recommend, great buying experience!

Awesome Shelves. I now have 2 of the large 4x8's and one of the 2x8's in my garage. They hold a ton of stuff and look good doing it.

Easy to install. Purchased approx three weeks ago and its been and one 4x8 platform loaded with approx 365 pounds. So far everything is holdind together as it should with no issues.

Stout. These are extremely strong and attractive in their simplicity. I highly recommend them.

Easy Install Holds A Ton. These shelves work amazing! They're easy to install; however, the instructions aren't the easiest to follow. For example, sometimes I had to spend a long time figuring out which bolt, nut, washer, etc. belonged to which part because the verbal instructions weren't clear and did't easily pair to the illustration. And sometimes I had to go strictly off the illustration to know how to assemble something. With that said, once you've assembled one shelf (correctly), assembling others goes twice as fast. To summarize my likes and dislikes: Likes: I honestly love these shelves. I bought them because they're modular, easy to install, and most importantly, do the job they're designed to do, and they do it well (hold your junk). These shelves look good, and offer a lot of flexibility in layout. They pretty much snap together like legos. Dislikes: Instruction manual didn't help me as much as I would have liked. And online resources weren't of any help. Example, every installation video I found was based off a perfect world scenario (studs were exactly where they needed them to be), and with a much taller ceiling height than my garage. Those kinds of variable would be helpful to mention. **Pro Tips**: 1) Consider mounting the shelves to a stringer. They don't show this in their video tutorial, but I highly recommend it. This will give you much more flexibility on placing the shelves exactly where you want them. I used a 2x4 board as the stringer, then used 5 1/2"-6" x 1/4" lag screws to secure the stringer. 2) I also highly recommend using the frame to act as your guide when drilling pilot holes verses measuring out your lines, then hoping it lines up when you go to mount it. This saved me a lot of time. 3) Keep in mind that the height of the lip, or frame of the shelf, is higher than the shelf itself. So be sure to double and triple check your measurements before securing the shelves. The first mount I did it was too high, so I had to disassemble some of it, and lower the stringer.

Works well. Went up fairly easy. My only complaint and suggestion is make sure you go buy stainless steel lag bolts because the ones they send are cheap, 3 broke off in the wall and I was only using a socket wrench because I was afraid to over tighten. Ordered another set, bought new bolts and everything worked perfectly. Also the online video contradicts the instructions that come with it.

Great Product! Although assembly and how you have to lay this out on the walls takes some thought, this is a great product! Durable, clean, well constructed!

Sturdy and well designed. These things are HEAVY. The hardware is easy to identify, all looked of excellent quality, and allows for fairly easy installation, adding individual pieces as you go so you aren't trying to hang 100# of steel in one pass. Once installed they are rock solid. As many have said, the worst part is jumping thru the instructions to various sections depending on how you are installing them. But this is truly minor if you take some time beforehand to 'walk' thru your install. My only problem on the install was house construction related. These mount based on 16" or 24" studs (nice that both are supported!) However, the framers in my garage seemed to pay by the TLAR method (that looks about right) as the studs were off significantly. I remedied by mounting a ledger board to the studs, then the back frame to the ledger.

Huge! Great for storage, also takes up space. The process of purchasing and delivering was easy. The box weighed right around 90 pounds and was delivered just days after purchasing. Assembly was simple. The hardest part was finding the right spot for it. It is HUGE and takes up a lot of space. Plan ahead if you are putting this in a garage with limited space, including opening hatches on vehicles and making sure you have clearance for a stand-up freezer/fridge below the rack. I am overall happy with the purchase. It is 32 square feet of storage and holds 600 pounds.

Well engineered. I bought two of these shelves to maximize storage in my garage. The instructions were very clear and concise. Everything went together well, which for me on a project like this was very surprising. I put up both shelves by myself, also a shocker due to the weight of the boxes when they’re shipped. Well done New Age (also have the cabinets and drawers in my other garage, although I wish I had installed the professional grade)

A sturdy and easy to install shelf. I received the shelf shortly after ordering. You can feel the sturdiness from the weight of the package. It's quite heavy, you might need two people to carry it around. I installed this shelf on a wall under my patio, a foot above ground to store firewood on one half and yard equipment on the other. I also have garage cabinets from Newage and the design is matching with the rest of the set. It is a very well built shelf - like any other Newage product. It comes with all sorts of hardware to make the installation easy for different surfaces concrete/wood etc. Pros: - Looks very good - Matching design - Sturdy construction - Easy to install - Quality material and hardware Cons: - Following the installation guide can be a little hard sometimes because of all the different options are listed next to each other. My recommendation would be color coding the steps or making some sort of symbols to notify if you're looking at the right step. Overall, this is a great storage option, and I think it would last years.

Great shelves. I purchased two of these. So far they seem great. I have no issues with them. I will update my review and give five stars if they continue to function well. One thing is it would be nice if the steel cables were a little longer, however if you follow the directions the length they give you works out perfectly (however doesn’t give much variability should u want to hang the front end off of the ceiling and have a high ceiling.

Awesome Shelf. We received this shelf very quickly and put it up with so much ease. We were surprised at the quality and how much we were able to put up there. It’s a great item for any garage. We definitely would recommend this item and the company, very good customer service.

Good Product, welds look fine. I would trust it up to the rating. The hardware is not galvanized well, so I recommend buying better hardware if you are able, but if you don't care about surface corrosion I guess it doesn't matter.

Great Shelves! High Quality! Very Sturdy! These shelves are very sturdy and were the perfect size. I was able to install each shelf independantly, creating two shelves. Perfect for our needs. Comes with everything you need to install them. If you have any experience hanging shelves, this will be a brereze. A second person to help with the install will make it even easier.

Holds so much more than expected. We bought this shelf for additional storage in combination with our Newage cabinets. It was easy to install especially for such a large product and came in compact packaging on arrival. Once up it held so much more than we were expecting all why still looking minimal and taking up little visual space which was important to me. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone looking to maximize their above ground storage. We will most likely buy additional shelves in the future.

Great design. I have prior experience with new age products. I had two of the overhead ceiling racks in my previous home. They worked great. Not as easy to install as this cable version though. I went with the cable version this time mainly due to the truss size in my current garage also I wanted to try the wall mount install. Pretty sure the ceiling mount in my garage would have been just fine though. This cable system does have the ceiling mount option. This is an easy install. Just make sure that you find the studs and take some measurements before purchase so you can ensure the spacing is correct otherwise you will have to modify how it is braced and installed. Luckily the wall studs in my garage were pretty well spaced so no extra bracing required. Instructions are pretty easy to follow. I would recommend downloading the install directions from the website prior to purchase so you can check the measurements and requirements.

Great Additional Space in Garage and Laundry! I bought the big one (8x4') for the garage and small one (4x2') for the laundry, both looks great and I was able to put all Christmas stuff there plus some many things that we rarely use.
