Rove Concepts Wishbone Chair

It's only been a few days since arrival, but I am pleased with the six wishbone chairs I received. There was a bit of a 'snaffu' that delayed final delivery a few days, but finally boxes delivered in perfect condition. The chairs within were packed and protected in a careful manner. Just a little care from me with unpacking by me and there was no damage to any chairs. As for the chairs themselves, these are of course reproductions. The 'original' Hans Wegner designed chairs cost over US$1000 per chair. In my opinion, these chairs are very good reproductions with attention to detail and good value. The wood cross-members are carefully tapered, the wood joints are tight without gaps and finishing quality is also good. Rove Concepts added their own label on the chair which made me feel they are concerned with the quality of this product. I also communicated with customer service representatives who answered my questions about delivery times, flat rate shipping and returns policy. So, I am pleased.

Excellent value for these classic dining chairs. They are sturdy, comfortable and stylish, and I love them!

Design and finish are top notch!!

Build quality is as expected and the delivery process was good. The walnut stain is darker than it shows on the website, which works contrary to my taste.

One thing I would like to note is that they look great, but the back comfort is not good enough. They need a wider wooden back for the chair or some kind of cushioned design.

Very well built

I bought four of these chairs in the walnut stain and I love them. They are light, stylish and durable. I bought them to go with the white tulip table and the arrangement works perfectly in my breakfast nook. The chairs are modern but also add some softness and an interesting contrast to the table because of their warm wood tone. I am very happy with my purchase and I plan to use these items on a daily basis.

Beautiful chairs, the walnut color is perfect. We had one arrive with a smudge of stain in the woven seat, and are trying to get it replaced. Otherwise, a very comfy chair.

I have wanted these chairs for a while now. The quality is excellent and warm wood looks great in my dining room, they are very comfortable to sit on. We bought cushions for the kids chairs because they can be messy and will protect them from getting dirty. Best price out there for a wishbone chair.

I bought the ebony Wishbone chairs with black chords - I was BEYOND disappointed that I could not get an option to have walnut stain chairs with the black chords. Rove, please change this! However, everyone that I spoke with at customer service was polite and professional in explaining this to me. Once I received the ebony chairs - they are absolute stunners. Comfortable, surprisingly lightweight, and just a beautiful matte/satin finish that looks fantastic in person. Very satisfied with my purchase, and everyone that comes to visit has their jaws drop to the floor.

I love the modern look of Rove Concept designs. The furniture is so elevated in its style, so well made and pricing is surprising lower than expected.

They arrived in perfect shape and are everything we hoped for. They also go well with the Rove Saarinen Tulip Table and the Henry Poulsen PH5 Light.

The chair is light and comfortable. It doesn't bend or creak.

The chairs are very comfortable and well built. Appearance is exactly as shown online. I am particularly impressed with how they were packed. We transported them boxed to our cottage and one box of two chairs flew out of the truck. Aside from a little road rash on one chair, they were completely intact and almost unscathed. Chairs are exactly what I was looking for and are comfortable. They are very light which makes them easy to move around. I hope the woven seats hold up well (haven't had anyone over 165 pounds use them yet). They arrived very well packaged (be prepared to dispose of a lot of foam, plastic wrap, and cardboard). All in all, I think a very good purchase.

We absolutely LOVE these chairs. We purchased 6 and were concerned they wouldn't be comfortable to sit on for long periods of time. However, we couldn't have been more wrong. Comfortable, high quality beautiful walnut grain... a wonderful blend of coastal style and modern contemporary design. Absolutely ecstatic with this purchase.

The product was pre-assembled, light weight, high quality, no screws to come loose. Highly recommend this product. Will call can be a challenge as the freight company and Rove Concepts are not the same company and there was finger pointing on who was responsible for pick-up time and location. In the end Rove made this right and was very customer service oriented to make sure that we were satisfied customers. Great company with great products!

It has the sophisticated look and light in weight. I like the natural color as it goes well with any wooden furniture in the room. One thing I'm concerned is that it can be too weak for an everyday dining chair.

We LOVE our chairs but we did get the matching stools and they did not go well with our kitchen. It was very unfortunate that we were not able to return those without having to ship these out personally. This definitely makes us purchasing at Rove Not something that will happen in the future as its hard to buy something and know exactly how it will fit in with the space. We paid for a membership for rove also..

These chairs really exceeded our expectations! We ordered six for our table, and we ordered two more because we loved them so much. They arrived well packaged and in great condition, and nicely matched our eight-person oak table. Really high quality and look outstanding.

Chairs are for a guest house that will not get a lot of use or hard wear. They are perfect for this application. They are very comfortable, not like some for twice the price. They are light in weight. My only reason for 4 stars is the finish on some of the chairs is a bit rough, like dust under the finish.

The Wishbone Chairs are timeless, modern, and appealing to the eye. They went perfectly with out dining table. They also came assembled and the pickup process was pleasant. There was a small blemish on one of the chairs however Rove was quick to make it better.

All it took was the first couple months of quarantining 24/7, during a pandemic to realize that that some of our furniture needed to be updated with clean and crisp lines from mid century modern designs. The chairs may be light in weight, but really are sturdy and super comfortable. The wishbone chairs have completely changed the look of our dining room and kitchen/entertainment room

The chairs fit perfectly into our design.

They are just as beautiful in person. My only concern when ordering was that the chair cord might not be comfortable to sit on - that is not the case! The chairs are as comfortable as they are aesthetic. My partner is a carpenter and was very pleased with the quality of the craftsmanship.

The chairs are absolutely stunning and well made. We went with walnut to match our darker table and the chairs are a perfect complementary tone of wood. They came assembled and well protected in bags inside the boxes with thin foam protectors.

I’ve been looking for this type of dining chair through many brands but Rove Concept stands out the most. The quality of the wood and color finish is way better looking than the other brand (Poly and Bark). Worth the buy! I got four for my new dining room. I got the black chair with a natural weave.

Very pretty chairs just like the pictures although it is a bit uncomfortable when you sit upright against the chair’s back for a long time. But overall good quality pretty chairs.

I very much enjoy my recent purchase of wishbone chairs from Rove—at least 7 of the 8 of them. They 8th was delivered in damaged condition. One can’t always prevent these things from happening, but I’m pleased to say that within 24 hours of reporting this to Rove, they sent a replacement for the damaged chair, without charge. I couldn’t have asked for better service.

I got my chairs last week. 5 chairs and 5 barstools. One of my barstools was broke in half and I emailed them with pictures and they immediately sent me a new one to replace and told me just to keep the broken one which I don’t know what I’m gonna do it but at least I don’t have to pay for shipping to return! Had to put my chairs in storage because my new house is not ready but it should be ready in a couple of weeks and when I get moved in I definitely want to send pictures so I want to give Rove five stars for customer service they were on top of it and I really really appreciate it great job guys! To tell you the truth I was a little worried After I read some of the reviews but they are now on top of things. I will definitely be ordering more products from them and can’t wait to show pictures!

Just got our Wishbone chairs to go with our Wishbone bar stools! Love it!

The chairs seem sturdy and well made. The only problem that I have is that the finish is completely natural. I wish there were an option for a slight color in the stain to add richness to the chair. The unfinished look can make it look less expensive.

Beautifully crafted chairs and went perfectly in our dining room. We went with the natural finish and have been getting so many compliments on them. Delivery service was also great and the company keeps you informed for every step of the way. As a bonus, we also got a credit that we could use toward a future purchase! Elegant chairs. Thought they wouldn’t be so comfy and wanted them only for their design but I can spend 3 hours playing board games without being tired of sitting in these.

The chairs themselves are beautiful and look great in my space. The only reason I am giving a four stars is the process via a third party delivery company. It was a pain to schedule the delivery, a lot of miscommunication. Then once my chairs were finally delivered the boxes were destroyed. I am surprised the chairs weren't damaged. Rove Concepts - i'd look into a different delivery partner.

Love the chairs, the wood is slightly darker (walnut stain) than the photos but overall accurate to what it looks like online. The quality of the chair is nice as well, I recommend buying high quality for wishbone chairs for optimal sturdiness and longevity. The chairs are boxed individually for delivery which was convenient.

Have had the chairs only a few weeks and i am happy with the chairs so far. They are each unique in the grain of the wood, which for me shows that they are very natural and unique. These chairs are also very comfortable, which i was worried about, but the weave of the seat and the angle of the back rest is perfect.

Love these wishbone chairs! Well packaged for delivery, no assembly required. Very comfortable.

These chairs look great. What sets then apart from other less expensive black wishbone chairs is there stained rather painted. If they eventually get a light scratch it'll be less likely to show. They each arrived carefully boxed and protected. I just ordered two more. Still new so can't speak to durability yet.

I really like the look of these chairs and they arrived in perfect condition. When you sit in them they are a bit lower than most chairs so you should keep that in mind. I also feel like the light colored straw seat has high potential for getting permanently discolored/dirty if any food or colored drinks fall on it so I would not recommend for a house with children. Finally my cat initially thought the chairs were her new personal scratching pads which I hadn't thought about. Luckily she is pretty responsive to being yelled at and now she avoids the chairs so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

The first four chairs are very nice - good quality and color. These last two chairs haven't arrived yet.

I love the Wishbone chairs we bought from Rove Concepts. They are beautiful, comfortable, and seem like they are built to last. They came fully assembled and carefully wrapped. I will definitely be ordering from Rove Concepts again in the future. The only down side is the shipping took quite a while, but that could be because of the time of year.

Simply beautiful! The best looking and well-made version of the originals that I've seen. The back is constructed of a single piece (not jointed) and the finish is a beautiful matte that allows the character of the wood grain to shine through. Very sturdy and everyone compliments on how comfortable they are. The process of getting sample wood to test out in my space was super fast and easy - beware though - the samples don't do the chairs justice. Couldn't be happier!

I bought 2 wishbone (ash wood with walnut finish). They do looks great. Given the slight imperfections in the craftsmanship (ie stain bubbles and small wood imperfections where two pieces join, black etching on areas of the legs, and the two chairs not the same size slightly), I was a little disappointed. But for the price and their very GOOD after sale services, I do think they were worth it. Will try leather product, hope could be better.
