If you are shopping for a Kahuna foot massager, there are three models on our site: the KFM-PAU (a foot massager that flips open to cover the calves too), the 088 (a foot and calf unit), and the SoleMate (feet only). They are priced at $800, $799 and $500. All three listings say they ship fully assembled and carry a 1 year warranty. The short version: the PAU has the most published detail, the 088 is the other foot and calf option, and the SoleMate is the simplest, feet-only choice. Our listings are thin on specs, so this review fills the gaps from Kahuna’s own manuals and product pages, and says plainly where a detail could not be confirmed.

Kahuna KFM-PAU: foot and calf massager in one
The PAU is the model Kahuna documents best. Its user manual (Kahuna PAU Leg and Foot Massager manual, kahunachair.com/download/kahuna_pau_manual.pdf, viewed via the Internet Archive) describes a clamshell design: fold the top down and it massages the feet only; flip it open and it works the feet and calves together. There are two touch panels, one for feet only and one for full leg and feet, and only the one that matches the current position responds.
What the PAU does, per Kahuna
- Scraping: pressure nodes under the soles that Kahuna’s product page says move clockwise and counterclockwise.
- Air cells: 3D air compression around the feet and legs, with 6 strength levels.
- Vibration: 3 strength levels.
- Heat: foot heating that can be switched on or off.
- Programs: 7 auto programs (2 leg and foot, 2 leg, 3 air cell).
- Fit: 5 degrees of tilt adjustment and a removable, washable foot cover.
The manual’s spec page lists DC 24 V, 55 W rated power, a 15 minute timer, dimensions of 19.7 x 18.9 x 13 inches and a net weight of 24.25 lbs. Kahuna’s archived product page (kahunachair.com/product/kahuna-foot-leg-massager-pau-black/, December 2025 snapshot on the Internet Archive) lists 27 lbs, which may be a shipping weight; it does not say.
One listing problem to know about: our black PAU listing says “Track: Foot Roller” and “Automatic Body Scan: N/A”, while the brown PAU listing says “Track: N/A” and “Automatic Body Scan: Yes”. They are the same model in two colors, and Kahuna’s own page matches the black listing. A foot massager does not body scan, so treat the brown listing’s specs as a data error and call 866-777-2590 if anything on it matters to you.
Kahuna 088 leg and foot massager
The 088 is the other foot and calf option. Kahuna’s 088 user manual (kahunachair.com/download/088_manual_web.pdf, viewed via the Internet Archive) describes a boot style unit you sit in front of on a chair, with a cloth cover, air bags and massage points. Its control panel has:
- Heat for the calf and sole (on by default).
- Scrape and air pressure modes, each switchable.
- Intensity in three grades: strong, middle, weak.
- Three auto modes labeled “reduce pain”, “relieve fatigue” and “comfortable enjoyment”. These are the manufacturer’s program names, not medical claims.
- Angle adjustment in three steps, up to 22 degrees.
The default run time is 15 minutes, and the spec page lists 60 W rated power. That same spec page also lists 220 to 240 V, while the setup section says 100 to 240 V. Our listing does not state voltage, dimensions or weight, so please call 866-777-2590 to confirm the unit we ship is set up for a standard US outlet before you order.
Kahuna SoleMate: the feet-only option
The SoleMate is the lowest priced Kahuna model here at $500. Our listing and Kahuna’s archived product page agree on the basics: foot coverage only, a foot roller design, fully assembled, 1 year warranty, white finish, and Kahuna lists the weight as 27 lbs. We could not open the SoleMate manual, so we cannot confirm its massage modes, heat, timer or power draw. If you want calf coverage, it is not the right pick; if you only want the soles worked and a lower price, it is worth a call to confirm the feature set.
Is a Kahuna foot massager still current?
Worth knowing before you buy: Kahuna’s current US store at kahunachair.com focuses on its Dios massage chair line and does not list a standalone foot massager today, and its archived PAU and SoleMate pages showed both as sold out. Our listings show these units in stock, but given that, please call 866-777-2590 (Mon to Fri, 9AM to 6PM PST) to confirm availability, color and lead time before ordering.
Foot and calf massager vs a full massage chair
If you already want back and shoulder massage too, a full chair may make more sense than a separate foot and calf massager. Several Kahuna chairs we carry list foot and calf heat in their specs, including the LM-7500 ($2,699), the LM-7000 ($3,299) and the LM-6800S ($3,099), each listing heating therapy for the feet, calves and lower back. Not every Kahuna chair covers the feet: the HANI-3800 compact chair is listed as “full body without foot” coverage, so a foot massager pairs well with it. For a side by side of the chairs themselves, see our Kahuna massage chair review, and if you are tall, check massage chairs for tall people, since leg rest length decides whether a chair’s foot rollers actually reach your feet. Our massage chair buying guide covers the rest.
If you would rather not spend $800, we also carry the Journey Health and Lifestyle Ultimate Foot Massager at $399. Its listing describes shiatsu roller balls, heat, vibration and air compression, a rechargeable battery, an ottoman top, 16 x 15 x 15 inch dimensions, 24 lbs and a 260 lb weight capacity. It is a feet-only design.
Safety: check with your doctor first
Both Kahuna manuals include warning lists. The 088 manual recommends consulting a doctor before use if you have an implanted electronic medical device such as a pacemaker, are under a doctor’s treatment, have a malignant tumor, heart disease or an acute illness, are pregnant or menstruating, have osteoporosis or a spinal fracture, have a skin condition or injured skin, or have a fever. The PAU manual lists similar groups and adds high blood pressure, cerebral arteriosclerosis or thrombosis, and recent surgery. Both say to stop if you feel discomfort, not to fall asleep during use, and not to use the unit for medical treatment. The PAU manual cautions people who are less sensitive to heat to take extra care, which matters if you have reduced feeling in your feet. The 088 manual says not to run it continuously for more than 15 minutes. If you have any health condition affecting your legs or feet, ask your doctor first.
Frequently asked questions
Does Kahuna make a foot and calf massager?
Yes. The KFM-PAU flips open to massage the feet and calves together, and the 088 is a leg and foot design. The SoleMate covers the feet only.
How long does a Kahuna foot massager session last?
Both the PAU and 088 manuals list a 15 minute timer. The PAU manual suggests 5 to 10 minutes, once or twice a day. We could not confirm the SoleMate’s timer.
Which Kahuna foot massager has heat?
Kahuna’s manuals list heat on the PAU (feet) and the 088 (calf and sole). Heat on the SoleMate is not confirmed by a source we could open.
Can I return a foot massager if it does not fit?
See our return and refund policy for current terms, or call 866-777-2590 before you order.
