NewAge Bold – 72″ x 22.75″ Backsplash Kit – Black

Slat wall. I really like it. I wish there was a way to secure the hooks every time I remove a tool it pops off. But it looks great and I’m hanging a bunch of stuff on there.

Excellent stuff, all worked as planned. Product was great, little issue with damage delivery. But company stood behind that.

Poor packaging, damaged delivery. Need to better package product

great add. dresses up and make the back wall functional space with other accessories

Extreme Buyers Remorse. This might've been the only piece of my order that didn't have any quality control issues. I ordered the 9 piece Pro Series set, and the entire experience was absolutely atrocious from beginning to end. The quality control is terrible, different sized bolts on the leveling feet, which required constant switching of wrenches, hinges not properly aligned causing doors to not shut properly, one cabinet had 2 large dents which New Age did give me a credit for. On top of all of that, their own website is either outdated, or just has bad info. The FAQ page for Pro Series states that only Performance Plus series has adjustable hinges. So, why are the reps sending me documentation and having my adjust the hinges on my pro series? Was mine assembled with the wrong hardware? Is the FAQ inaccurate and Pro Series does have adjustable hinges? Does the Performance Plus series even exist? I'm just flabbergasted at the lack of attention to detail and obvious poor QC going on here. I will never recommend New Age products to anyone, and it's a shame that one of the center pieces of my garage refinish now reminds me of the horrible choice I made to go with New Age. Every time I have to shut my cabinets to completely close them I wince. The credit back will never offset the bad experience.

A Plus Products. I bought these to match another set I had from New Age. Love the look and durability of your products, as well as any customer service if needed. Product is a little on the expensive side but overall, you get what you pay for.

Great product built to last. The products upper and lower cabinets in 9 piece set of pro series are functional and built to the highest quality. I will be ordering more to replace old wood cabinets

48” Metal Slat Wall. i ordered this slat wall because it is 48” wide. i like it, but honestly I may like the PVC slat wall better. I wish you had PVC slat walls in more widths

Wrong item sent. The wrong size and wrong color was sent. The process to resolve the problem took several days and was very poor.

Color does not match to previous order. I bought more panels to extend the wall and the panels in this shipment have a slightly different color. Note that the website makes it look like stainless steel, but it is actually grey. I went ahead and installed it to save time and effort, but give the price and wait I was expecting more

Unclear instructions. Backsplash lacked instructions. I think I figured it out?

No Value. Very expensive with little value attached to it, especially when it comes damaged and it is very difficult to get resolution. Ultimately installed it damaged.

Resent lost order. I ordered 2each 16’ slatwalls & accessory kit. UPS failed to deliver one of the 16’ slatwalls. After several weeks of New Age assisting me to have UPS deliver the 3rd package, NewAge honorably chose to ship me the remainder of the order at no additional charge to me. Their representatives were very professional, courteous & attentive to my issue and determined to resolve the issue. Excellent communication throughout the process. Thankful for companies that still value customer service. All of the products that I have received are of very high quality and easy to install.

Be aware of impact of combining 2 sets together.. Great product and very useful. Hanging directions should have reminded installers as to which piece should go in on the bottom. Also: should advise that installing two on top on each other will not give you an aggregate section of 2 x 24" section, but less than that, as the bottom of the bottom panel is not an effective panel and shouldn't be used when trying to place to sets one on top of another.

Great quality with some kirks. Very sturdy parts. I wish the hooks aren't so loose and stay on better. Sometimes the hooks can be knocked off when you take a tool off.

Good look to accompany a cabinet set. The backsplash looks great with the 9-piece Bold Series Set. It’s metal and very sturdy. I had to cut for two outlets and the thick metal made it tricky but I’m glad that it’s study.

Richard Woods. Love my gray back splash to hang several tools upon for anytime use

Figs Backsplash. Product is of top quality and ordering process/shipping great. Assembly instructions need to be improved. Confusing 🫤

It does not match if you are putting this end to end it will NOT match the section beside it. After a complete new set was set to me, it still does not all match. I am not sure why this is so hard to accomplish. Not sure if its milled in different ways or painted on different assembly lines or what. I have became the talk of the neighborhood and even the UPS and FedEx guys are checking with me to see if this will ever be resolved. I can tell you I am about to give up but they wont refund my money.

Keep Shopping. Poor quality for the price. There are better designs and less expensive options with competitors

Sturdy. Easy to install and study. One minor complaint that I have with it is that the top decorative plate. It attaches with a magnetic strip that's not strong enough. Additionally, the adhesives on the magnetic strip are failing. I ended up replacing it with a double sided tape.

Organization and space. I installed several panels of NewAge (NA) Backsplash panels along with several free floating NA shelving units in my garage. The panels were extremely easy to install and the hanging kits worked great for tools, jackets, shoes, hardware and many other things. I finally have the organized garage I've been wanting and the amount of floor space opened up makes my garage feel 20% larger.

Was a bit disappointed. This slatwall backsplash was a little disappointing compared to my other NewAge purchases. The pieces ar3e metal and cannot be cut to size easily. The finish is slightly different from the PVC slatwall so it doesn't match. There is a magnetic top piece that looks good but renders the top slat of the backsplash useless because it doesn't hold hooks. Also, the backsplash doesn't hold the accessory hooks as tightly as they hold on the PVC slatwall.

Best backsplash for the money.. Great quality with this company. I would recommend to anyone.

Backsplash heaven. Super easy toinstall and very well made. Works flawlessly!

Covers all the bases!. Top quality, super easy install, looks great with overhead and flanked cabinets.

Really nice piece!. Much nicer than anticipated. Pictures don't do it justice online.

Good, but doesn't need to be steel to do the job. It's a nice backsplash kit. Not exactly sure why it needed to be steel though. For something in such a small space, it's not like you're going to put something super heavy on it. I have other slat walls from other companies on my main garage walls that are made out of PVC that do the same job. I gave it four stars because while it is nice I just don't think it needs to be steel or something in such a small space. Only reason I bought this one was because it went with the storage set up that I had bought . Plus it makes it hard if you need to get around an outlet. If you don't want to make the outlet covered, you have to cut into the steel which avoids the warranty. I ended up doing it, and it was a lot more work than it really needed to be.

very nice. very easy to install. would like to see some way to help secure hooks to where they would not move

Strong and Stylish Backsplash. Solid steel, not plastic, well coated/painted, looks great between the stainless steel countertop and the upper cabinets.

Slat wall. The slatwall fit perfectly with my 9 piece pro series set. It really made the overall set simply pop with a great custom look. Plus lots of pegboard area to work with

Absolute Horrible Customer Service. Received system with both of the tall cabinets damaged, shipping container was not damaged, so damage must be from factory. I contacted New Age Products Customer Support and their canned statement is "Please allow us sometime as the person who is already working on your case is already on a call right now" followed up by another canned statement "Let me discuss about the resolution and send you an email" There never is a resolution email. All they do is delay, delay and then delay some more. I offered them an inexpensive, reasonable solution but nothing. So I have no further recourse but to return the entire garage storage system I purchased thru Costco. Thank Goodness they will allow returns. The undamaged pieces are very nice, just wish they would allow me to get what I paid for -An Undamaged Garage Storage System. Now is that asking too much?

Great Product. Great quality and design. Everything fits perfectly together with this entire system.

Great Product. Easy to install, sturdy. My only complaint is due to shipping damage. Both boxes had multiple pieces that had bent corners. Had to bend them back and make them flat in order to install. Not a NewAge issue or defect, likely the shipping company.

NewAge Pro Series Diamond Plate Slatwall Backsplas. Well built, very well designed, many helpful assessories.

Product arrived damaged. Did not discover until taken out of box

Solid steel and strong. Was easy to install and the finished product is professional grade

Leaves permanent fingerprints and hand prints. The backsplash leaves permanent finger prints if not cleaned immediately. I have never had issues with any powdered coated finish doing this and for an item that is meant to be outside in garage I would expect better quality. I regret my purchase. I have the matching storage cabinets with the same issue. I have tried WD40, Dawn Soap, polish, Windex , Vinegar and the dark smears remain everywhere.

You want be disappointed.. Easy to install and looks fantastic. Everything was well made

Backsplash for Bold series cabinets. Looks nice but most of the corners were bent when it came to me so had to bend them back in place Because I really did not want to send them back..

Great Product + Easy to Install. great product and very easy to install. Product was well packed and came with all accessories. Appreciated the extra hardware included with the shipment.

Could be better. I think the slat wall is definitely sturdy, I am disappointed with the way the attachments fit into the wall. There is no way to keep them from falling out. Wish they would stick in better. Personally, I would go with "wall control" if I could do it again.

Good Product. Installed them myself and they were pretty easy. Good quality and they look great in my garage.

Love it!!. High quality, heavy duty steel. Very easy installation process!

Mary. Good size, good quality. Easy to install. Keeps hardware off floor

DP Backsplash Kit. Extremely heavy duty slat wall back splash! Very easy installation.

Great slat wall accessories not so much. The product came on time and relatively undamaged. The installation was easy and gave me the look I wanted. I was a bit disappointed with the hooks and accessories as they tend to fall off when removing a tool.

Poor design of parts bins.. These do not fit the backsplash very well. The clip is too small and pops off.

Don't expect any accessories or starter pack. Very pricey for what you get. I was told that it came with accessories for it. It did not. It has a top trim pieces with a magnet that did not work so I had to use 3M double sided tape

Expect shipping damage, great load rating. Kit came incomplete with one slatwall missing. The packaging was very damaged and a few pieces needed to be bent back straight. I do like the Newage slat wall overall once you get past the common New Age shipping damage. A drawback is that the trim piece on the top isn't a great design as it has "magnets" but they are weak and you need to remove them to have it sit flush with the mounting screws. That same trim piece also makes it so you have one unusable row of slat wall which always seems to be the one I wish I had. Also the accessories mount easily, too easily so I have items that are under light load often falling off the wall. However the steel is nice, the powdercoating looks good, it's pretty stiff so if you have an overhang between stud and end of the board you're still all good. The load rating is good as well and these can be super functional.

Metal backsplash. I am disappointed in the dimples in the metal. The directions not so good. Ended up putting additional screws to hold it in place. Plus installed upside down. UGH!!! I have been very happy with the other garage and kitchen pieces i have purchased. Although not 100 percent happy it looks better than other products.

awesome garage storage. Great storage, looks great. custoer service was awesome to work with/

Backsplash Review. Nice Sturdy product. Very nice finish. Easy installation.Packaged Well. Instructions on magnetic strip could have been better. One of my cabinets was damaged, hopefully receive a new replacement soon. Time on phone to correct was lengthy. Overall satisfied with New Age Products.

Backsplash. Looks great. slightly damaged in shipping. easy to install.

Great Product. Better Directions Needed.. Great product. Shipped very nicely. My only complaint would be if the directions were a little clearer. I installed it upside down and had to redo the whole wall.

Backsplash. Super easy to install. Looks great and brings a totally complete finished look to the whole set up.

Durable and nice to look at. I love the quality and durability of this backsplash. It adds to the aesthetics as well as being functional.

Slatwall and complete Bold Series install.. It is easier than you expect to install. Simple directions to follow and my wife and I were able to handle it with no problem.

My findings. Some dents on the back corners, but does not effect’s the working doors. Easy to assemble.

I love this. It arrived damaged but was easy to straighten out the corners where the were bent. The edges dont show anyeway so it didnt matter. very nice, heavy duty slat wall

Additional shelving is impossible to get!. The product is good however when I tried to order additional shelving for the lockers I was told to go directly to Lowes. When I did that I discovered that Lowes doesn't stock any of this product in store and doesn't have anyone online that can help.

Great Backsplash but Slightly Damaged. The silver backsplash I ordered came quickly with no hassles. Unfortunately, 3 of the panels had the corners bent inward somehow. It was easy to straighten the bends and so the product was still easy to put up on my garage wall. Nevertheless, the product damage (though slight) shouldn't have happened at all. Glad I was able to "undue" the damage without much effort.

Exactly what I wanted. Owned about a month. All went smoothly... purchase, delivery and install. Cabinet quality is want I expected, not pro grade, but perfect for my needs. Instructions were easy to follow and parts were blister packaged. Thinking about purchasing a couple of additional cabinets.

Assembly Directions a bit confusing. The back splash works great. Assembly directions for Pro series had one part confusing. Used bold series directions and it went together fine.

I did my whole garage with NEWAGE products, love it.

Happy with it but less "plug and play". I outfitted a new garage with a slew of New Age cabinets and goodies. Chose to line the space with this slatwall. I'm very happy with the end result. Very functional and looks good. That said, the slatwall isn't as "plug and play" as a lot of New Age stuff UNLESS you are buying the cabinets in a basic combination. Coming only in 2 sizes, there was no size that would perfectly fit any stretch of my cabinets. If you have a corner piece, then I don't think there's any combination that is going to fit the corner piece plus any adjacent cabinets. I mitred the edges of the slatwall at the corner rather than butt them up against one another. It ended up looking good. I also cut holes for outlets. Took some effort but it was well worth it. I also had a stretch where I had to line up 2 slatwalls next to each other on the same wall. Rather than butt them together to create one big seam I altered the pieces like subway tile. Ended up with the result, but again this took a chunk of time and effort. Also, if you don't end the slatwall next to a cabinet, then it's just the exposed end. There are these "mobile end covers" that are provided, but they're not tall enough to cover the entire height of the slatwall. I think the purpose of these end covers is if you're using it above mobile cabinets, but why wouldn't' these pieces cover the entire height of the slatwall? I just used two of them and laid them over one another, but it's not as polished of a final look. I see from the other non-backsplash slatwall set that they have end pieces, so I don't know why they don't provide them for the backsplash set. Like some people have said, a lot of the pieces arrived bent, but for me they were always bent in spots that wouldn't be visible after installation so I was able to simply straighten them with pliers and install them.

Well built and EASY to install!!. I bought the 9’piece garage cabinet set and am really glad I did. I added the slot wall for a great look and function. The quality of every component is terrific. If you follow the instructions and make sure the first cabinet is level and plumb then each and every hole lined across the cabinet installations. I have recommended the set to two of my friends and they have bought with similar comments. Good buy, great price, outstanding quality!

Good quality product. Excellent product - only reason it did not get 5 stars was slight damage in shipping. I was able to re-bend the metal so no issue with return. Otherwise easy to install and happy with the product.

Awesome!!!. Looks great! easy to install! There are many accessory options to customize the wall as well

Very Strong Unit. I’ve had this installed for about a month. Easy to install and very well built. Some pieces with minor bent mounting surfaces but were easily straightened. I feel it’s a little over priced but it looks great. Delivery time was excessive.

Great Finishing Touch. I purchased this to finish off my 8 piece cabinet set and it looks awesome and is very functional as well. Highly recommend for the convenience of storing high usage tools for quick access and giving your garage work area a nice finishing touch. It is very heavy duty - will hold anything you put on it.

Great fit & finish. Added this to my cabinet workbench set, everything fit perfect.

Solid product

Needs improvement. Pros: Easy to install. Looks nice. Cons: Some of the interlocking edges bent/damaged as I un-boxed. I assume this happen during shipping and/or handling. Newage should re-think packaging. I had to use tools to bend edges back into place in order to install. The edge pieces provided for finished look (Pro Series) are not long enough to cover the entire edges. Edge pieces did not have any adhesive strip on them as the instructions say. I ended up not using edge pieces on my install due to these reasons.

Stylish design & easy to install!. So far everything I’ve purchased from New Age has been awesome. Great design, beautiful and easy to install. This kit was also an exact fit with the only cutting being an outlet that I installed. My garage is looking so good as well as organized. I definitely recommend New Age!

Nice Slatwall But....... This is a solid product. My issue with it is that it comes with 4 slatwall sections but only 3 of sections you can hang your accessoires to. The 4th bottom section is useless because nothing can be hung from it. I notice on the PRO Series slatwall they have fixed this issue where you WILL be able to hang your accessories from all 4 slatwall sections. I wish I would have bought the PRO series instead because of this.

Practical and strong. Bought this item 6 weeks ago as a second unit. Looks great, strong and practical.

Took some time but worth it. It was pretty easy to install. However I had a problem that my power outlet would be covered by the backsplash. I had to cut two of the slats to allow for a space for the outlet. It would be a nice feature if and outlet was built in the backsplash so with a cord to go to the wall outlet. I wish that the hook system was a little tighter so they would slide as much. Looks really nice when done.

Super high quality. I absolutely love the slat wall. It is of high quality and easy to install...even for a "non"-handyman like myself. My only suggestion would be to allow the customer to buy individual pieces so as to customize the height. I had to purchase two complete sets and will now be unfortunately be taking the large remnants to the landfill/recycling center. Also, the customer service os ok...but had a one hour wait time! I had to give up.

I added this to my setup of cabinets. It was easy to install and looked very good upon completion.

All metal slats, overlapping, mounted on drywall, fit perfectly in New Age cabinet opening approx. 6' wide x 2' tall. Screws directly into studs, with overlapping courses hiding screws. We used a grinder to cut openings for receptacles. Top row is adjustable height for flexibility in filling opening.

Perfect fit, but not exactly shipshape.... I received the backsplash via UPS a few days after receiving the cabinets in my order. About half the panels were bent in shipping, I took pictures and was going to request replacements but decided to simply bend the corners back into place. The repairs were easy and did not affect the installation. The New Age products are so superior in their construction and design in my opinion even a bent panel that you repair yourself is better than the competition!

Mixed Review. Pros: 1. Sturdy- nice material 2. Easy install- 1 person 3. Looks nice Cons: 1. All the pieces were bent (on the corner) without indication from the box. 2. The thin Finishing Edge does not stay in place with the magnet strip. 3. The whole order was original paused bc this piece was on back order.

Nice Quality. Good quality product works well with the 9pc Pro System I purchased. Assembly instructions could be improved for sure and delivery was not communicated prior and neither was shipping information.

Slay wall for bikes. I bought this slat wall six weeks ago and finally received it at our home. Apparently the shipping company dropped the ball and forgot they had received it. We were supposed to receive our shipment 1 to 3 weeks however did not get it until the fifth or sixth week after ordering. So far the slat wall has been a disappointment. The clip hooks for the bikes continue to fall out every time we put the bikes on or take them off the wall.I am going to disassemble it and permanently Attach the hooks with a bolt into the stud of the wall.

Easy installation. Another add on to all my great Newage purchases although I do wish that the accessory hooks fit a little tighter (some come off when lifting of tools.)

Very Solid, Easy To Install-Highly recommend. I bought this along with a purchase that included a lot of cabinets and workbench area. The product is very solid...not flimsy plastic like some other companies I had researched. The directions were actually very easy to understand (no seriously they were). I was able to install the slatwall by myself and it looks great.

It works. It does the job. I use it for craft supplies in the basement. It’s flimsy metal. I was told I’d get a coupon a month later for a future purchase which I never got.

Looks Great. Looks awesome - far better than other brands. However the edge trim is not the same quality as it looks cheap & fell off after a couple of days. The tape on the edge trim is useless.

Fantastic Customer Service. Very happy with this product. Easy to install, looks great, and very functional. Original shipment was damaged while in transit. Customer service responded quickly to my claim and sent a replacement quickly. Hats off to New Age for a fantastic overall customer experience!

Great look. Great quality and looks fantastic. The only things I would change is add 1 more piece to make it just a bit taller (I used this kit on my walls as well as a backsplash) and have some adhesive on the side plates. But overall great product and easy install.

Outstanding backsplash. I received this item about 3-1/2 weeks ago. It was easy to install - looks great - and am waiting to order another one to finish of the 112 in. work surface. I'm guessing and hoping that they will butt up tightly in the center and match up to give a seamless look. A suggestion would be to offer a "T" shaped coupler to finish off the ends and or the center connections. Other than that they are perfect.

Great Way to Organize. I inherited my dads tools when he passed. This was fantastic in helping organize everything!

Excellent quality, attractive slatwall system. I bought these NewAge slatwall modules several weeks ago to finish off my garage update. I had been impressed with the quality of my NewAge cabinets that I had ordered previously, as well as NewAge’s customer support. They’re easy and flexible to install in a variety of configurations ranging from 2x4’ strips, 4x4’, or other combination. I chose to combine into an 8x12’ wall in my four car garage. Love the end result!

Cabinets. Look great and easy to install color is great size fits all that I needed

Great company. I purchased alot of the garage cabinets. The set up is fabulous. The quality of the workmanship is great alone with the service of all employees. This company stands behind their workmanship. I highly recommend them for any of the products they sell. I promise you thst anyone will be happy with the workmanship and sevice they receive.

Well built and looks great!. We decided to get our garage floors done. In doing so we also wanted, and needed storage space for tools, equipment and misc. items. I purchased New Age at Lowe’s and had them delivered. My wife and I installed them in the afternoon. Turn out great!

Excellent Quality. Just like their cabinets, the Slatwall is substantial, not thin and cheap. Quality is top-notch

great product, service and price. just finished our custom house...but was not impressed with the subs that our contractor brought in to do the garage...ordered these online instead and they look great...sturdy and all metal construction as we did not want faux materials in our home. My only suggestion is that New Age should offer more slatwall accessories instead of a few standard combos...but there are sites where I was able to get these.

Great Finishing Touch. Installed the back-splash to my custom installation and it looks great! Just keep in mind that you'll have to cut around plugs. Did it with a 2" grinding disc and it worked out great.
