Best BBQ On The Market...If You Take Care Of It! Going way back here. Purchased my Signet 20 9865-54X July of 2011. Best investment I have ever made
Pros: Main body is built to last.
: Easy assemble
: 99.99% of replacement parts are still available for my BBQ 15 years later wow
Cons: I never liked the cast iron cooking grates to much work to keep the clean and rust free. as soon as the stainless steel options became available I switched those out.
Like everything we buy that has moving or working parts, it needs to be cleaned and parts changed out when needed or as needed.
I change everything out every 3 years Burners, Flav-R-wave set, Burner divided set and the collector box...
My BBQ is used almost daily in the summer months lunch, dinner.
I Spend $220CAD every 3 years to keep my BBQ running in top shape.
Now if only they sold a drop in stainless steel plate ( for my 15 year old BBQ) to use one side as a flat top..

Signet™ 320. Burners do not last 10 years. Purchased mine 12/2020. Also I had in 2024 replace flavor shields and the igniter cross over. Getting ready for third set of burners. Fortunately they will warranty the burners until 2030.
I think for their reputation all metal parts in the fire box should be thicker to last longer

Price high for the quality. I bought one and returned it right away. They advertise the internals as stainless steel, yes they are but its 490, not 304. So in 5 years, you will have to change them. The only real stainless steel 304 on the BBQ is the handle cover. The aluminium tub and the gaz side burner was a plus but unfortunatly i prefere good quality parts. And the warranty is really unequal, its mostly 2 or 5 years. For 300$ more yan have a napoleon stainless steel 304 internals, grill with side infra red burner and the rest is 490. On the long run, this will cost you less money.

Best Grill for the money. Best Grill out there for the money. I've had my Signet 320 for over 4 years and use it year-round an average of twice a week. Much like my zero-turn mower, it was worth every bit of its initial cost.

Amazing BBQ. Purchased my Broil King BBQ on July 8 2011, going on 14 years in that time like all things parts need to be replaced, cleaned. In 14 year I've replaced the cast iron cooking surface, burners, collector box, Flav R wave..... twice at a cost of $630 CAD. That's like $45 a year to keep this BBQ in perfect working order. The BBQ lid, doors, shelves are still in perfect working order. I never use those stupid BBQ covers they keep mositure in and most cheap ones do not breath. It stays in the shed until I need to use it.
I wish Broil King did flat top BBQ, Seems to be the in thing at the moment.

Great mid sized grill. We really have enjoyed this grill (320) for the past five years. Still cooks great and being covered between uses, it still looks good also.

where are the condiment bins? My old Signet 390 got destroyed in a tornado last month. I had just replaced the burners, grids, flav-r-waves, and dividers because of rust. Most under warranty. Had thoughts about buying a weber instead but since I had all of the spare parts, I decided to get another signet. Tonight I used it for the first time and noticed that the condiment bins were missing. They were a convenient place to keep things safe from getting knocked off the shelves and kept my cold drink away from the direct heat of the cover. Overall I like the grill even though things rusted out after about 3.5 years. I give it 4 stars because the warranty covered most of the parts. I hope that the condiment bin was not the only "improvement" and that some attention was given to the rust problems.

Bad service, poor burner replacement design. I bought a signet in 2015 and can write a long term review.
Cooking is basically flawless. It has plenty of power and it’s about as uniform as you can get on a grill.
There are a few key flaws.
(1) Poor service - see more below
(2) Grills rust too easily and need a lot of seasoning
(3) Burners are in practice impossible to change
(4) Fat drips out the back - a design flaw
Service levels
The grills rust and need a lot of seasoning. Replacement grills are hard to get. The dealer in Dublin Ireland refused to supply them because the barbecue was bough in Belfast. Since that source wasn’t available they had to be imported. Twice they arrived cracked in transit.
OMC helpline was utterly unresponsive when I complained about the dealer service. So poor customer support at HQ as well as with the local dealer.
Bruner replacement
There is a design issue here - the burners are bolted into the casting with steel bolts. Two things happened by the time they needed to be changed - first, they bound to the casting; second the heads had rusted to the point that they had no hexagonal shape. I was not able to remove them and now have to toss a barbecue that should be going for several more years at least.

Have the fire department on speed dial. Worst Barbeque i have ever owned. uncontrollable fires in it from the first time i Barbequed with it. The flavor wave thing (or whatever you call it ) I believe is the problem the grease sits on there and starts on fire, any other barbeque company that just has a "tent" or v shaped piece over the burner doesn't have this problem

North American Built Quality. I bought the Signet, because the Broilking name is synominus with a quality product, at an affordable price. I looked at many bbqs, and the Signet was the only one that had a 100% cast aluminum cover. As a year round barbequer, heat retention is very important. Plus, it's refreshing to know that my bbq was made in North America, and not imported from overseas. 👍👍

My Second Broil King. I've since moved back to Michigan and took my Broil King Signet with me. It's been ten years since that first review in my Torrance living room, and my Signet 320 needs an overhaul. Here are some images of how it stood the test of time. I would still say it was an ok investment, and I may consider buying another Broil King. However, not until some things are improved upon, as I am not completely satisfied with how some components have held up. For context, we use this BBQ two to three times a week during BBQ season here in MI and at least two to three times a month during the winter. It is always covered with a premium OEM Broil King cover when not in use. The following items needed replacement either because they were no longer functioning, past their useful life or completely rusted out. You will be able to see from the pictures.

High Btu burners with even heat and easy to clean! I love my Signet….It’s my second one in like 15 years…It’s secret - the reason I love it - is it’s uniquely high-BTU burners. No other grill seems to come close to its heat output. Keep those BTU’s high….Easy to "plumb into" our home propane system so we'll never run out of fuel. Getting spare parts is a breeze, and very reasonably priced for whatever is needed, and the reps are very easy to work with and knowledgable. I highly recommend these grills!!

Not durable, broken piece due to rust. I will echo some other reviews. It is a great BBQ until parts start disintegrating and then becomes terrible. My burners would have yellow flames instead of blue and when I took apart I can see a ton of corrosion and rust chips and that the collector box was so rusted that it was broken into pieces. I would have hoped for more reliability out of Broil King. The challenge now is finding my receipt and hoping to get replacement parts.

A Culinary Powerhouse! I recently had the pleasure of adding the Broil King S490 IR grill to my outdoor cooking arsenal, and I must say, it's truly a culinary powerhouse! From its sleek design to its impressive performance, this grill has exceeded all my expectations.
The infrared cooking technology is a game-changer. It ensures even heat distribution across the entire cooking surface, resulting in perfectly seared and juicy dishes every time. Whether I'm grilling steaks, chicken, or veggies, the S490 IR delivers impeccable results that impress both family and friends.

The durable stainless steel build not only adds a touch of elegance to my patio but also stands up to the elements, promising years of reliable use. The ample cooking space is a dream for hosting gatherings, allowing me to cook multiple dishes simultaneously without any compromise on quality.
One standout feature is the precise temperature control. With multiple burner options, I can easily create various heat zones, perfect for indirect cooking or searing. This level of control has elevated my grilling game, making me feel like a true outdoor gourmet chef.

Best BBQ I have ever owned. I purchased this BBQ in may to replace my old one. After setting it up on the deck and using for the first time i was surprised by the quality of the Signet BBQ. The heavy duty cast iron grills hold the heat for an excellent sear. Regulating the temp for low and slow cooking is so easy as there are no hot spots and even temperature across the grill surface. You can feel the quality of the build in the solid feel of the BBQ. The lid is heavier than what i was used to and there is no shaking or movement even when cleaning the grates.

Rust bucket. When it was new it was great. As it has aged the short cuts in done manufacturing have shown up. Original cast iron grates were the first to go even with scraping and oiling on a regular basis. Replaced with stainless along with rusted out flavor bars. The cheap steel screws that hold the burners down where beyond operational and needed vise grips to remove. While moving the grill last year the steel that holds up the grease catching pan had rusted so bad the whole thing fell out and is not usable anymore. Will not buy another one. Great grill, awful grids. My only regret in purchasing my Broil King Signet are the grills that come with it. I had never owned cast iron grids before, I oiled and gently heated them, went overboard doing it too often, wanting them to work. In the end, they rusted out and became unusable. I submitted multiple requests for warranty replacements on their website and by e-mailing with ZERO response. Never buying from this company again. Additionally, this particular grill has a poorly designed lid. Grease collects under the lid and eventually drips behind the grill onto the group.

Very Disappointed. I purchased the Signet 3-burner grill model 9865-54 in 2016 as an supposed upgrade from a “well-known brand name” 2-burner grill purchased in 2006 (more on that in a sec). My review will mimic an earlier one posted here, in that every internal part has rusted out. The pictures included show the THIRD set of Fla-r-wave heat plates and SECOND set of grill grates. The burners are rusted through, as is the collection box. The screws holding the burners will have to be drilled out (if possible) and re-tapped to replace the burners. the internal components are pure junk. This grill is covered, and sits under an overhang. In comparison, my 2006 “well-known brand name” grill is still going strong with the ORIGINAL grill grates and burners, and SECOND set of Flavorizer heat plates. The moral of the story? Pay the extra dollars and get a “well known brand name” grill.

Nice BBQ with great quality parts...BUT - Only problems is the design of the burners, it won't keep a steady temperature...after it warms up to 400F you can't keep it there...even on LOW setting it will eventually climb up to 550F... Go with Weber...they have the best temperature control system.

Avoid at all costs. Terrible quality. I bought this grill in late 2019 and it never worked properly from the start. The flame was large and yellow, and the heat distribution was very uneven, with some hot spots burning food while other spots barely cooked. Customer service had no suggestions as to how to address this. In less than a year the firebox had warped, and all the internal pieces (favr waves, burner tubes, etc.) had rusted out. I was sent replacement parts (for which I was required to pay the shipping costs) and spent many hours tearing the grill apart into pieces smaller than when I first assembled it, meaning there were no instructions. Less than a year later the firebox has begun to warp again and the internals are again rusting. In addition, both doors have fallen off and the metal holding the drip dray has disintegrated with rust. I've had a Broil King in the past and it was good quality, but this is clearly a lemon and customer service will take no accountability. Some parts that have rusted/broken (like the doors) are now outside the 2 year warranty. I've kept the grill covered with the proper Broil King cover since new, and even purchased stainless steel grates in the hopes of avoiding rust. I expected better based on the reputation of this Canadian company, but I will now be cutting my losses and buying another brand, which I should have done from the start.

I have used the rotisserie for whole chicken and also for prime rib roasts. My friends all really enjoy the results. I am absolutely delighted I made this purchase and will never deviate from Broil King!

Awesome BBQ. Thus is my second Signet bbq. My first one lasted for almost 20 years. Great quality. Very pleased with it. Bonus is that it is completely made in Canada/USA!

Broilking Signet 390. I bought this bbq last summer, comes with the rear burner and rotisserie kit. I use it every weekend! Pork shoulder on the rotisserie as well as whole chickens! It does an amazing job, perfect every time. The cast iron grates are solid and reversible, awesome feature! The tool for lifting the grates is a great addition to your bbq. They really put some thought into building this one. It retains heat very well, saving money on gas, or propane, whatever your pleasure. I also recommend buying the Broil King cover, it has been thru a few bad storms, winter and summer, it hold up very nice and keeps the grill looking good!

Long lasting. We bought our natural gas Signet 10 years ago. This year we replaced the burners and the grill. I’m sure we’re good to go for another 10 years. Love love our BBQ.

LOVE IT. I have owned this BBQ for 7 years. It’s starting to need some replacement parts. But this is why I chose Broil King, knowing it’s a true ans tested name brand that will be around still for me to be able to repair rather than toss and buy new for small repair needs.
I have only needed small things so far, but am very pleased with EVERYTHING Broil King so far! Looking to expand with some additional cooking accessories soon too

So Far Good!!! I bought this grill and put it together myself. It probably would have been money well spent to have hired the job out, but it was a little challenge. I liked that many of the screws were prethreaded which kept me from using the wrong screws. All of the parts were included in the box and although the box looked battered when it got to me nothing was really damaged. I would like it if they thickened the cardboard of the outer and some of thinner boxes. There were a couple of minor dings in the stand, but nothing at all serious. I liked the way the corners of the stand were engineered to add rigidity to the stand and I liked the durable plastic base. Most of all I liked the cast aluminum cookbox. I leave my grill outside in the winter in Northern Michigan and steel cookboxes just can't take it. I was shocked how fast this grill warms up. Very nice. My one concern is that I will overheat the grill while opening my second beer. I light the grill and almost immediately turn it down. I am a little iffy about the cast iron cooking grids. I may buy the stainless grids in anticipation of my first rebuild. BTW I had my old grill(not BK) for 15 years and rebuilt it 4 times. I paid twice as much for new parts over the years as I did for the grill so I decided to buy a better quality this time and I wanted to buy one made in North America. I will try and remember to update you in three years.

Did not last as expected. After 4 years the grill is unusable, everything inside as to be replace, the graves, flavorwave, burger, grease tray ect.. when i was in the market i was cross shopping with some more expensive bbq and got told broil king was as good for cheaper, i now regret.

Avoid this model. We consistently have troubles lighting the BBQ and it takes 20+ minutes to reach a proper temperature. When we reached out to customer service we were told this was normal.

6 Years and Still Like New. We bought our Signet 320 six years ago and it still works as well as the first day we used it. We live in the northeast, right on the Canadian border in northern NY and grill year round. The grill is used 2-3 times a week during the summer and maybe a couple of times a month in winter. We have been fanatical about keeping it clean, inside and out, and keeping the cooking grates cleaned & well seasoned. I even clean out the burners at least once a year, deep clean the entire grill once a year, too. I also keep it covered. Not one bit of rust on or in the grill, best grill we've ever had, stills looks new & cooks like new and if this one ever wears out, we'll definitely buy another Broil King.

BBQ going to replace as soon as possible. I bought this bbq, 1 year ago and nothing but issues, spent more on this thinking it’d be worth it, and was I ever wrong

Very disappointed, rust bucket. Purchased in June 2021, cleaned and dried after every use and covered with a broil king cover. Outside looks terrible, trouble igniting- I swapped propane tank but still trouble lighting. I have to disconnect and reconnect the tank to get gas flowing through the lines. I’m embarrassed to have this thing on my deck. For the price, go buy anything else.

Good service. Enjoying the BBQ. The temp gauge rusted and fell off, but the company was very responsive in sending me a new one. Thanks!

Rust everywhere. The grill grates rusted after 2 years. The flame divider (4) are all rusted out. Pretty much the whole inside is rusted out. This is my 2nd BroilKing grill. The 1st BroilKing grill had the same problem where all the interior parts rusted out.

Love my Grill. The even temperature of the 3 burners aways make what I'm cooking taste great.

★★★★★ Mitch92 April 9, 2022 · Calgary
Really well built. Seems like a really sturdy bbq and I really enjoy using it. My issues with it are a few I think design flaws. One is the rotisserie burner is to close to the grate, you have to be carful turning burgers and things as to not push them under and wedge them between the burner and grate. The big one for me though is the top rack design, it moves with the lid so when you have something on there and open the lid it drips down the inside of the lid. Then when you close it all the grease drips down the back of the bbq and onto your deck / patio making a mess and staining things.

It's a 9468-54, so it's a SIGNET 320, not 320B. Those are constructive comments:
1-Tank clamp and tank strap don't work well for me. The old set-up was better,
2- The grease tray and grease pan doesn't work well for me when I tried to clean it. You should had see my patio last summer, what a mess.

Missing wheel axle...and now we wait. This arrived earlier this week. Today's my 36th birthday and we unpacked the BBQ on our patio this morning thinking that we'd have it assembled and ready to use tonight and for a 2nd upcoming birthday this week. Step 1 of the instructions requires the axle for the wheel base. Our unit was boxed without this. Couldn't even get started. Contacted Home Depot where I purchased the unit and I've been told that the Parts Team will take 2 days to get back to me after which I might finally get an ETA on the delivery of this part (SKU #S15170). We were planning on using this as we host a few dinner parties over the next coming weeks and now we're stuck waiting on a $10 part.

American Made should be better than this. My old Weber grill was doing just fine when I gave it to my newly wedded Son and his Bride.
Since I am tired of "made in china" I wanted one made in the U.S.A. or at least not made in china. Broil King was the one I chose. I purchased the Signet 320 the fall of 2019. I assembled it in the spring of 2020. It worked fine that summer. But in the fall it started not working fine. The igniter began to fail every so often and then failed. Check all the blogs, etc. to no avail. So I used other methods to light it. Then the regulator started to fail every so often. Again, checked all the blogs, etc. to no avail. Yesterday I had to disconnect the regulator from the tank SIX TIMES before I could grill some steaks. SIX TIMES!
So I am in the market for a new grill. I suppose I could buy a new igniter and regulator. Why? I had that old Weber 7 years and it is still working for my Son. So much for made in U.S.A. I hope there is another company in the U.S. that makes grills.

Even when well kept, the grill falls apart. This grill was cleaned after each use, covered when not used and stored in the basement when summer ended. 1st yr great, then failures. All the internal parts rusted out, the burners 2x. Now the grease pan fell off rusting through, another part for replacement. I probably bought the grill twice due to replacement parts. My Weber lasted 2x as long

I have no problems. Had it a few years now and it still cooks my food just fine, I do need to get some replacement grids but other than that the rest of the grill is just fine

Really great grill for much less than a Weber. I purchased this in Greece, it was 1200 Euros, the similar Weber was 200 Euros. Assembly went well except for a missing shaft for the large rear wheels, which the retailer sent free of charge. I used this grill for 3 months last summer, and it worked great. It has a large warming rack which I used as a second cooking level (see photo) when I smoked 2 pork bellies at the same time. The Griddle works great as well. The side burner seemed a bit weak in the heat department, frying some fish took longer than expected, I don't know if there is an upgrade for this. The rotisserie burner worked great, it runs the length of the grill in back, and the rotisserie chicken I made came out great and only took little over an hour. The regular burners do put out a lot of heat, and I had to cook on a lower setting that I was used to, but that isn't a bad feature, as the propane bottle lasted 2-1/2 months with almost every other day use. I grilled chicken, beef, fish, pork, bacon, quesadillia's bread, corn. This summer I will try pizza on the griddle. Overall, this grill worked great, had plenty of heat, lots of room to cook on.
