Char-Griller FRONT METAL SHELF PERFORATED – (3724)

Perfect for smokin champ. Added this to my smokin champ ...an absolute must...works great ...don't forget to order the brackets !!!

No where to attach. When I bought the front shelf for my grilled, there was no mention and no link to mounting brackets. While the curve of the brackets match my grill, there are no Predrilled holes.

It works as it should. I had purchased a "Smokin' Champ™ Charcoal Grill" to replace my old one. There was one feature I didn't like; It did not have a shelf in front. A feature my old one had and that I used every time I cooked. Since it was what I wanted in all other ways, I thought I'd just buy this shelf and add it myself. I DID call and ask if they would do that for me (allowing I would pay for the shelf,) but they said it wasn't possible since the holes weren't drilled. Sheesh! "Not possible?" Me and my cheap little battery drill can solve that little (ahem) uhahh, problem. Anyway, about the shelf... It's fine. Black coated, perforated steel. Not very sturdy. The perforated surface buckles and rolls somewhat but, it's sturdy enough so to hold up my brisket. Over all, it's good enough that I'm satisfied with it. The shelf brackets are about the same in quality and the holes line up nicely with those in the shelf. Re, the images. Remember it's the shelf in front that is being reviewed. One real plus is that they designed it so that the shelf stands off from the grill about an inch. That means it doesn't get overly hot. Another thing. See the shelf on the end. Not much too it. The shelf I bought for the front is of that perforated steel, Considerably stouter stuff it looks to me. Anyway, that sums this up.
