Char-Griller Hard Lid for 36″ Flat Iron Gas Griddle

Probably a standalone issue; otherwise good. Serves the purpose it should, but it shipped with a chip in the paint and it already has an unsightly rust spot on one of the corners after ~2 weeks.

best to avoid. Sent it with only 1 handle. Claim opened. They sent a handle but no washers.

Sturdy and Lightweight. Good cover. It fits well, it's lightweight and easy to handle.

Lid. Hey! Its a lid, it sits on the griddle when not in use, and it does its job. The best thing is that it critters from defecating on the griddle.

Hard cover for the gas griddle. Received cover and it had a ding size dent in it. Not happy about it. Also, seems a little flimsy. Needs to be made more study and stronger.

It's OK, But Not Great. Metal isn't exactly the heaviest, and the lid DOES NOT hinge on the frame. It must be stored detached from the griddle.

Lid is great, shipping informatio nnot so much. I like the lid, works as expected. Good quality. When I ordered however, it took a looong time to ship. Char-Griller custoemr service replied to my inquiries as to what is happening with my order very quiclky however the reply was always..."we are sorry for the delay but we don't have any information on when the item will ship...". No info about stock issues, etc. to indicate teh reason for the delay. That was very frustrating.

Awful Shipping Time. It has been over a month and this hasn’t even shipped yet. Just buy off Amazon.

Non-hanging lid. I'm disappointed. The grill lid is substantial, but the way it hangs on the grill, if you can hang it, sucks. I guess that's why I received two brackets in the box, but with no instructions or picture to show how to attach them to the cover (poor design). Why not include the cover with the grill like other brands. One really needs the cover to keep grill oil and residue of the outer weather cover.

36 Inch Hard lid. Two corners were dented in from shipping.Needs to be protected better for shipping.

How to attach your hard lid for 36” Char Griller. Easy to assemble had to go to YouTube to see where to mount the hanging bracket other then then that easy assembly.

I would buy again. Works very well with the Char Griller 4 burner. Handy to use when used daily and don't need the full cover

A must have to protect your griddle! Great hard cover protection that enhances the long term griddle protection especially when used in conjunction with the made for vinyl cover!

A great way to top off your griddle! This is a must for all griddles. It should have come with the griddle but I found the website and easily ordered the cover.

I would definitely recommend this lid. This lid is light, yet durable. I love how you can hook it to the griddle and or the back of the flat iron.

Absolutely love our 36" griddle! Fantastic lid. Keeps my griddle dry and protected. Perfectly covers my 36" 8936 model. I'd avoid the soft covers as others have mentioned as they can lock in moisture and create rust. Regarding the griddle itself. I love it. Easy assembly. Took me fifteen minutes and that counts getting out of the box. In regards to the promotional sticker that people complain about having adhesive on it which is difficult to remove off the flat top. Guess what? They fixed that problem. Now it's a big promo with magnets and no adhesive at all. Yay! Lastly, I looked at the Blackstone offerings and they are not on par with the Char-griller build quality. Also I have no idea what one person was talking about trying to find a, "Grease tray insert" why would you need to find one? It comes with one in the box. Did you lose yours? Maybe contact the company. Your review is bizarre and seems oddly biased toward Blackstone.

a must have to keep out of weather. The soft covers still let moisture underneath that will cause griddle to rust. Easy to use with the hooks it just hangs off back while in use. Love the griddle and the cover makes it one step easier!

Do your research and opt for a blackstone. Overall I wish I would've gone w a blackstone. There are so many more accessories available, online chat groups full of blackstone griddle owners. Things like the grease tray inserts, look online, good luck if you find any for the chargriller. Is it functional? Yes. Does it do it's job, yes. Can you find anything online about it? Not much at all tbh. Wish I would've spent the extra to go with a brand much more known. Don't go cheap and save $100, where you're just going to spend it elsewhere.

Size. I am looking into buying this but I am not sure it if would fit my grill? What size is it?

I would not buy this Griddle, Cover, Nor Lid again. With shipping, this lid cost me nearly $70. Seventy dollars for a one piece formed lid with two handles and two hooks and attaching hardware. I would have ordered the griddle that came with the lid but it wasn't available last spring and apparently, still is not available. The lid does; however, do better at keeping the griddle dust and moisture free than the plastic griddle cover which leaks water wherever it pools on the cover. It takes the cover, over the lid, to keep the griddle dry and clean; and if water pools on the cover, the lid still gets wet. All in all, I am not that satisfied with the griddle, the cover, nor the lid.

Great product but packaging and instructions were lacking. Packaging was absolutely horrible. Things were banged around, but thankfully no dents. There were no instructions that came with this purchase. I had to "wing it" for the hanging brackets and wasn't quite sure about the washer layouts for the handles. Thankfully, I found the assembly instructions in the "Flat Iron with Hard Lid" instruction booklet which is found on the site. At the end of the day, the product is great and does protect the flat top from the elements.

A Must Have. Makes grilling so much more enjoyable when you don't have to spend all your time cleaning up the grill. The cover is a definite time saver. Just don't know why it doesn't come with the grill in the first place. What grill doesn't have a cover??

Keep it safe. Great way to keep the griddle clean, safe and ready without having to bring out the full cover.

I love my griddle! I have not had a chance to use this lid. Due to the fact I had to put my flat iron griller up because of hurricane warnings. It came with a damaged corner. I do think I will be able to bend it back out without too much damage. I hope it will keep the rain off my flat top.
