This cooktop is small but mighty. We had to get new pans for using the induction cooking method, but it was worth the investment
Sleek and Easy. Not super quick bringing a pot of water to boil, but once it's boiling, it maintains heat really well. Not a fan of the "power sharing" which distributes power when both burners are in use. But it's fine for most applications (except for bringing a big pot of water to boil). You can't beat the easy cleaning, the reduction in extra heat in the kitchen and overall sleekness that comes with induction
Doesn't work with small cookware. Works well most of the time but it's not compatible with my two Moka Pots. They both work well with my other induction cooktip. Emprava only heats it if I choose the lowest power setting (300w or 500w) and then heats it very slowly
Smart Induction Cooker. This induction cooker is the best one I have used. I put it on the left side of the gas stove. The control of the two stoves is interoperable. Keep 1800w, it will not trip due to excessive current, the noise is small, and the lack of tail is timing control. Start I like to start every minute and set it to start every hour. Buy a whole new set of pots and pans.. It looks good and everything but believe me you need to read the instruction thoroughly and these by itself can be frustrating when it comes to just heating up water. If you have a countertop that you don't mind opening a hole so that you can fit this gadget in. I guess that's fine but the work by itself can be lengthy anf dusty to say the least. If you are looking for a cheap way to get around buying and actual stove. It won't work because they recomendvthatvyou get an expert to install this burner if you are planning on getting one yourself. But two things come to play. If you are in the right setting with plenty of time and money on your hands . It can give your kitchen a nice clean look and it placed in the right place it can definatly improved your social skills but I would not know for sure if it will do the same for your cooking skills. I know that may sound oxy but in life you don't always get what you want specially if you are hetting around the real deal. My advice: try to get a real stove. $200 there plus pots and pans plus instalation if you have the right set upand hopefully the proper countertop equals; do the math. Nice looking gadget but it falls short from it's own expectations and slow burning set of instructions. Afterall we are only talking about a basic necessity

Perfect for small spaces! Lasts a long time!. Finished out an upstairs apartment that had a small kitchen area. Couldn't fit a full size range/oven but had enough space for this. Installed in with the long sides on the left and right to minimize counterspace loss and it looks great! Doesn't need special breakers but I do suggest having it on it's own breaker. I had it on a circuit with the microwave and it would trip each time they were both on. Been going great for a few years and has been a solid buy

It's OK, not great. First of all, don't let the pictures fool you, there are 2x 6 inch coils in the cooktop, even though the white circles would lead you to believe otherwise. Disappointment #1 Second although there is power sharing between the 2 coils, only the left hand "larger" coil will go to 1800 watts. The right hand side max's out at 1300 watts. Disappointment #2 Given that the actual coils are the same size, this seems odd. Also the vertical versions of this cooktop do not have this restriction. Design is clean, interface is simple to use, and it heats as expected, not funky noises etc. Fan is noticeable usually is on cheaper units like this. Easily switches from power to temp modes. However the power will reset to 900 watts every time you do it. Disappointment #3. If you are planning on installing it in a recessed counter top, be aware that the glass is not as thick as i would have expected, and be prepared to also create a platform under it to support its weight using the feet, not the glass rim. If i had paid full price for it, i would have returned it. But as i got a great warehouse deal, i will keep it stored in case one day i have a use for it

have used it only a few times so far. its fast & has acceptable noise level. the control buttons seem to be very large, wiping up a spill can change the settings. thing i never found mentioned about induction equipment the top is very slick. try to stir anything thicker than water the pan moves. you have to hold the handle to keep it in the circle. can make adding ingredients difficult. induction cookware doesnt seem to be very abundant. i have a use for this thing but still kinda prefer my gas range.

Only 3 weeks of cooking but so far very satisfied in every way. It is our trial run getting away from nasty propane. I love the control and even pan bottom heating and rapidity of change up or down even with cast iron which we use often. The temp settings seem just right. Going to sear some thick ribeyes in a few minutes.

Didn't realize I had to use special pots or pans, like cast-iron, stainless steel with magnetized bottoms or ceramic, but after our read and realize this, I like it. Also, when the pots and pans are not on top of this induction stove, top, the stove top cools quickly as it is only really warm.

Super slow to heat water to boiling, but the biggest issue is the left side burner on 1800W (nothing on the right burner) keeps throwing a code (sometimes E1 other times just and "H"), beeping incessantly until we turn it off and wait to turn it on again. Can't boil potatoes or cook soup in an induction specific stock pot without this code throwing a dozen plus times. It's a half hour ordeal to accomplish this task. Doesn't do it with a skillet. The manual says nothing

It works great. The best of all, when I picked it from the Home Depot store; the box was not damaged nor the cooktop was not damaged. When I ordered through a different company on line, the cooktop arrived in a box shattered condition because it got damaged during delivery.
The reviews for this product seem to be fake or generated by people who have clearly not purchased the product. It's concerning that the copywriter for this stovetop couldn't have proofread "More faster than Gas" before releasing this to the public. If they can't proof read for correct grammar, how is the build quality? I'd assume poor, especially without any real customer reviews.

We promptly returned for a refund. This unit fits our space on our boat the best of any 2 burner induction cooktop. So after waiting about 3 weeks we decided to give it another try. We've only cooked with it a few times, but have tested out all functions with a couple pots of water on the burners. This second unit is much quieter and runs as it should. Burners automatically increase or decrease wattage as you change the settings to maintain a maximum of 1800 watts. In actuality, we found maximum watts to be roughly 100-200 watts less than manufacturers rating. This was based on our Victron Cerbo DX display. We'll keep using it on our sailboat and see how it performs. If our rating changes up or down, we'll update this review. For now - we'll recommend it

Except for this one, they've all tested 1, 000 watts max for the left burner and about 1, 500 watts total with both burners on. This one at least tested 1, 400 watts for the left burner and very close to 1, 800 watts with both burners. It's still less than advertised, but at least it's closer to specification. I haven't decided if I want to keep ordering/testing/likely returning other brands to see if ANY of them perform as advertised or just keep this one
Have been using it for over half a year - works great. I appreciate the clean design and simplicity of use. The timer is excellent - set it to turn off after some number of minutes. Amazing value for the price. Unsure how it compares to the $1, 000+ models but I don't see a reason to buy a more expensive unit. One thing to be aware of - the fans that cool the stove make some sound, so it won't be as silent as a gas stove. I don't mind at all - it's a gentle hum.

Much weaker than advertised. I used a Victron shunt on a stand alone 20amp circuit to check the power usage of the unit. The right element on "high" topped out at ~950W and the larger element on the left topped out at ~910W. Both of these numbers are lower than the advertised specs (1300 and 1800 respectively) and indicate the smaller element actually has the higher output. When both elements were on the unit consumed ~1500W by adjusting the balance of power between elements. This figure is 300W lower than its specified combined power output. Despite being catfished... The unit looks clean and is easy enough to use. The fan noise when running is similar to a propane stove, not as quiet as a natural gas range, and it cools within a minute or two after shutting down. If the unit worked better (i.e. wasn't weighing in at 50% of the specified power output for its large element) I'd give it a better review, but as is, it's a dishonest product that Lowe's should pull from shelves (imagine buying a "25' tape measure" and you only get 13'...)

Lowest setting is too hot for simmer. I'm a huge fan of induction cooking which I've been doing for about 10 years. This is my 2nd or 3rd owned unit. I'm disappointed that the lowest setting--300--is too warm for a gentle simmer. Instead, 300 produces a low boil. Is there something I've failed to understand about the settings? The experiences of other owners could be helpful . Please share any suggestions. At the same time, this unit does not go as high/hot as my former one, although it is adequate. But it seems to take plain water longer to reach 'boil' than with my former units. If I were to buy again, I would choose another brand

Revised review. After approx 3 days of use: Right burner works fine. Left burner will not shut off, continuous beeping, no other functions work, error code 3, Turned power off for 30 minutes and restarted per instructions. No resolution and problem continued. Contacted Empava customer support via, email, and online chat with some difficulties. After some back and forth Empava agreed to send me a replacement unit, and if it does arrive the 4 stars are for good customer service. Am awaiting to see if replacement arrives, and if replacement has any issues. Hoping for the best. Edit: replacement arrived within a week and is working very well. Initial difficulty overcome by some pretty great customer service and willingness to make things right!

Energy efficient, fast response to temp changes.. I am sorry I did not purchase this cooktop years ago. Induction cooking uses less electricity than the alternative. I am in a rental home with a stove that does not work properly. That was the primary reason I purchased the Empava induction cooktop...which is efficient and has super fast responses to every temperature change I make. With the correct cookware, I can bring water to a boil in less than a minute. Cooktop buttons can be locked and that is advantageous if you have children and/or pets in the home. Also, burner surfaces do not hold heat, it's the bottom of your pans that create the heat required for cooking
The "H" hot indicator is not working properly. Received today and started using to simply boil water and discovered the hot indicator "H" does NOT work. I was able to get it to work one time by using a timer on the left burner. First impressions, eh. We have an inexpensive one burner induction portable hot plate that works great. It will stay to temperature display instead of watts displayed. This unit always powers on to watts. You need to constantly press the "function" button to show temperature. Not a big deal but would be nice if it would default to your last setting. Jury is out on this one yet. Because of the hot indicator this unit will be exchanged, or if we find to many problems simply returned. Will update

As it was the 120 volt model it adjusted the power consumption when using both surfaces so as to not overload the circuit. Sadly, the left element failed about three months after the 2 year warranty expired. Maybe I just got a bum unit, but I expect better than that. In fairness, I have not contacted the manufacturer. I think I will try, but in today's world I doubt they will replace the unit

Noisy fan, touch control symbols are difficult to see/interpret against dark background, beeps when controls are touched are annoying (the only feedback on a flat, hard surface), controls are not separated enough from elements so there is a risk of touching a hot surface, especially if ambient lighting is not bright. On the positive side, easy looking surface to clean, unit is a slim form that can probably be mounted easily in to a counter top but was used on top of counter and was not too tall

Also, kind of irritating that if you lift up a frying pan for just a couple of seconds to move things around in the pan it shuts off very quickly. Giving up gas. I've ditched a full-sized gas stove top for this two burner electric stove top. Not only will we breathe better, but gain added counter space in a small kitchen. An added bonus is being able to take this with you for community cooking/family gatherings!

Beeping not bad. Its a good size, power ratings seem to be good, however the constant beeping is a right pain. Plug it in, Beep, Turn on, Beep, change the power beep, turn on the 2nd ring, beep, change power beep, turn off beep, turn off 2nd beep. Lift the pan to move the contents, beep, lift a pan to flip a pancake beep, leave it away from the pan for more than 3 seconds, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep beep I also think the settings should just be P1-P9, I have a samsung Induction stove in Canada, it doesn't beep. I dont really care what temp or power rating its on. All I know is that when I do eggs its p5, when I am searing a steak its p9, when I want a rolling boil, its p3 . The price point is good, with the right pans, it works as expected, but give us the option to turn off the beeps

Just moving a skillet to agitate its contents causes it to beep and turn off power. power comes back if you put the pan back down quickly but its annoying. I have this in an outdoor kitchen. Output way over rated.. I'm not sure about this thing. Specs show that the left burner can output 1800w. Right side 1300w max. 1800w total max output, meaning if right is set to 1300w left can only be 500w. Problem is I can only get the left side to draw 680-700w in power from the wall even set to 1800. Same for right side set to 1300w. On top of that if you set either burner to say 500w it will draw about 400w or 100w less then it states per side. I'm guessing after lesser into the pan and from other losses your only getting maybe 500w max from the left burner at max setting. I'm having trouble boiling 3/4 gallon of water at max setting. My cookware used is Gotham induction ready copper colored set. Other problem??? When the unit is plugged in but turned off it shows as a 7% power draw on my 3000w inverters display, but 4w on the killawatt meter. So is the power draw really dirty and confusing my inverter? Used this unit for about a month now daily. Run it from a pure wave 3000w inverter and from shore power. Weird power draws on both sources. Video coming soon on it. It does cook food. I do love the idea and way it works, bit unsure if my unit is working correctly or not

Decent stove for the price, no cutout template. Upgraded to this from a single burner. This didn't come with a template to cut the opening in the counter, had to measure and make a few cuts but eventually got it done. Power cord is fixed coming out of the lower back of the unit, so tight fit with thicker countertops. Power setting on the range doesn't match power meter, but could be other sources

Safety and style. This unit was just right to place in a small area in my outer top. My only issue is that it does not except regular aluminum cheap tops. The pots must be iron or steel as a precaution so that cheap pots might burn and will cause damage. I found that to be a difficulty .mixing the right kind of pot that the unit will take. But I see the safety and the reason why . Less chances of causing a fire if left on check pots will burn. The unit is fabulous and a great buy. Neat and nice

Only will do 1800 Watts total. I love the design and functionality until I found that if I put one burner at 1100 watts and then try to use the second burner at 1100 watts it automatically reduces the first burner to 700 watts. Aghhh... I had a stovetop that was 1500 on one side and 500 on the other and I only bought this because I needed high power to both sides. I used that other stovetop for years with no issues, so for many people this may not be a problem at all. However, I will return this one and see if I can get another without this limitation. I guess this is the limitation of a standard plug in. Good thing I tried it out before cutting the hole in island.I like the stovetop. I might pick their 4 burner version instead

works great - is portable. This is a nice little cooktop. It works as a built in or a portable. Thats the issue, there was nonthing in here saying it was portable. It has some padding so it rides a little higher than i would like when used as a bult it. It also states that you should not seal this to the counter top. As this is a slightly odd size for a 2 burner i can not now choose another brand

Nice rangetop, slightly noisy fans.. Nice in-counter range top. Only downside I've seen so far that I wasnt expecting is that the fans are quite noisy when in use. They spin up when the burner is turned on and they are quite noticeable without ambient noise. But the noise is just a minor criticism, doesn't take away from it's good performance. I've had large pots and pans as well as small skillets and its performed quite well on all of then

Pretty good burner for my purposes.. This burner is nice looking and pretty good for the price. I'm using it as an auxiliary burner in my outdoor kitchen. I'm sure you get what you pay for and a higher-end burner would perform better and be more powerful. Installation was very simple. My one issue with the burner resolved itself otherwise I would not be as happy with the product. I used to have to keep the ignitor held down after it was lit for quite a while or it would not stay lit. Then after having the burner for some time it that issue resolved itself one day

Great stove and customer service. I am really enjoying this stove. I cook about 10 times a week so I need a work horse of stove. This one has performed beautifully. The back burner is great for fast boils or maintaining better frying or sautéing temperatures. The front is a great compliment by providing good simmer control. I also love the look of it and how easy it is to clean up. It is a perfect fit for our kitchen. I have to mention that we actually had issues with the stove when we first received it. Basically, one of the burners was just a little more difficult to light than the other. However, Empava's customer service was easy to reach and super helpful. They worked hard to figure out the issue and ultimately solved the issue for us

Very nice piece. We are renting out one of our rooms and made a small kitchen for him so that's why we ordered this small cooktop. As it turns out, not only it's compact, it really works great with Propane tank.Definitely recommend if you have a tight space
Quite decent cooktop. I have to be honest, the stainless feel thin, not in the kind that's like sheet metal, but does feel thinner than our GE one that's I'm replacing. BUT....it is much more budget friendly to people like me, and it worked as it supposed to, so no complaints. If Empava is going to make it with more sturdy material, it'll look even better than the picture
