General appearance is good. Price is favorable c/w Samsung. However, it does not function as good as Samsung. It noisier and power or heat is intermittent rather than constant(not as smooth). The warranty is 2 yearg""s which is longer than Samsung. I would say Empava induction cooktop is bigger "ban" for the buck.
Haven't installed yet. Haven't installed it yet as Im having an electrician put in a 140 outlet. You need to educate some of your people when assigned to specific departments. Many times when I've asked questions they either didn't know the answer or gave the wrong information. Trying to find someone to help is almost impossible

Induction stovetop. First induction oven so a bit of a learning curve. Love how quickly it heats up and boils water. Cooks very evenly. Instructions were clearly written by someone who isn’t fluent in English. The language is so bad that I actually had trouble understanding the directions and I usually don’t have difficulty understanding people who don’t speak English as their first language

Best cooktop I ever owned. This Empava cooktop is an excellent product this far . I have owned it for 2 years now after cooking on gas for all my life. The advantages over a gas cooktop are huge. Very easy to clean, heats up much faster and cost a lot less than cooking on gas. The product is easy to use and looks much nicer in the kitchen than the gas cooktop. I was a little hesitant with the for me unknown brand name compared with far more expensive ones like Bosch, General Electric and other more recognized names
Inconsistent Heating. I don't understand all of the good reviews, because my experience was more in line with the negative ones. The cooktop is very nice looking, but the burners only heat the middle 6” of the pans, even on the largest burners. The heat is also very inconsistent. It pulses so much that you can see it. While cooking pasta, the water would bubble, then stop, then bubble, then stop, repeatedly. Same thing with cooking chicken. It would sizzle, then stop, sizzle, then stop. First-time Induction Cooker. This is my first induction stove so I am still leaning about it. However, I do like the quick heating response, and the fact I know it's using less power is great. I like the flat surface that doubles as more counter work space and ease of cleaning. And so far, I have been able to use all of my cookware on the stove. It is not as selective as I was led to believe. The cycling on and off takes a bit to get used to because when the stove cycles off, it stops cooking momentarily and there is not a lot of residual heat to keep the food cooking as in radiant stoves. Also the buttons are really sensitive and when wiping up spills, it is easy to turn the stove off. Overall, I am very pleased with the stove and look forward to cooking more dishes on it

Empava 30 in. Radiant Electric Cooktop. Excellent warranty and customer service. I had a defective cooktop that stopped working after 10 months. I contacted Home Depot that put me in touch with Empava customer service and after submitting a simple video of the non working cooktop, they shipped me out a brand new unit via FedEx, and a return shipping label from FedEx to return the old one. It worked out great and they were very prompt at resolving the issue. I would recommend this brand and their products

Great Induction Cooktop Choice. We recently purchased an Empava 36" Induction Cooktop and it has been performing great so far! It heats up extremely fast. We did have to adjust our cooking habits a bit from gas and did buy have to new pots and pans, but that was expected. The flat, sleek induction cooktop looks great and is very easy to clean which is why is switched from a gas top. I would highly recommend Empava to anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen with a great product at a great price

When we checked in to a new Bosch the price was around 3 thousand dollars, which we could not afford at this time. We did some research and were very impressed with the Empava and what they offered. Additionally, we were able to get a first-class Stove Top for under 1 thousand dollars. We have had this stove for a couple weeks and are extremely impressed with the stove and the quality. Excellent cooktop. Looks great, easy to install. I love the flexibility with the size of pans I can use due to the flex zones. The power boost works very well - very quickly boils water in less than 2 minutes. Compared to my previous induction cooktop by a different brand, it might be slightly louder - maybe? - it cools down a bit longer - a fan runs a while after you turn it off. But when the cabinet doors below the cooktop are closed (& usually they are) it's not loud. Very comparable to the KA I had. The price point on this one is excellent. My much more expensive one only lasted six years. So for the price, it was worth the risk on an unfamiliar brand. So far I'm very pleased. Only negative I have experienced is that it does seem to cook a little hot. For example, I feel like a “6” is hotter than on my previous cooktop. But no problems- just adjusting accordingly

This fit into our existing 36" cutout as described. We love the burner arrangement. The low-profile frameless surface is very attractive and easy to clean. The fans are quiet. The cut-off timer is very convenient. This cooktop works perfectly with all of my existing induction cookware. We are very happy that we went with this Empava cooktop

Induction cooktop.. Unbox and Installation are straight forward, since it's same cutout size as my previous one. It functions well after installation. All 5 elements heat up as described. However the heat comes in wave , intermittent up and down not constant as my previous one. I am not quite sure it was designed that way or some thing wrong. However. It costa one third of my previous one

EMPAVA induction cooktop review. Replaced my broken, traditional, electric cooktop. This model has lower power requirements so no requiring was needed. Slightly smaller than older designs, to fit existing holes without modifying granite. Self-installed in 20 minutes, but it should have come with the needed kit for granite installation!

A comparable induction cooktop is typically 2.5X the cost, and the touch panel works great!One of my favorite things about induction cook tops is the ease of cleaning. Since the cooktop itself is t what heats up, spilled food doesn't get cooked on as it would with standard electric or gas cook tops. It also heats extremely quickly. I can boil a pot of water within 3 minutes

After the install we tried to use our "Blue Diamond" pans - and they did not work - or aluminum pans - I wasn't aware that the pans had to be "magnetic" - So - We had to buy some "Diffuser Plates" to make the Blue Diamomd pans and aluminum pans to work - other than this issue and is well -------
Great value! I'll update this review if something changes, but so far it's great. The only complaint we might have is the buzzing sound is louder than the higher end induction cooktops (thus only four stars). If you haven't used an induction top before it will certainly take some getting used to. If you take a pot off a burner while the burner is on it will error after only a few seconds and you'll have to turn the whole cooktop off and back on to reset it, but you learn to turn the burner off first. Things cook fast, and on a lower setting than conventional tops. There is a timer for each burner which is really nice once you get to know how long something takes, but the tone for when they turn off is quiet. So far, no regrets.

Replaced an old GE electric cooktop and was a much better fit than expected. So upon reading reviews I was expecting more issues installing this. I replaced an existing 1960's electric cooktop that was falling apart. The shape and size was odd enough that GE sells a specialized steel adapter for their modern cooktop to replace these old units. Turns out this unit is almost a perfect fit. I had to install some 1/2" boards on the left and right, and some 1/4" boards along the front and back to give the cooktop something to rest on and it covers the hole completely.The cabling is heavy gauge stranded so it's very flexible. Silicon or rubber insulated and the cable is steel wrapped. The whole unit is of quite good quality build wise.This is an induction stove. If your not familiar with the technology you can't use aluminum pans here. Stainless steel pans or cast iron only. If a magnet doesn't stick to your favorite pan you'll want to consider a different cook-top. Or do like I did and take this as an opportunity to buy new pans. For the price difference from this to a Whirlpool or Frigidare induction unit you'll be able to afford a whole new cook set twice over.Check your breaker box in the basement and make sure you have a 40 amp breaker for the cook-top. If not take the needed action to upgrade this. The listing for the cook-top clearly states you need this. As does the instruction manual and the box in very clear print.Once installed the unit's proven great for me! Super easy to clean compared to my old cook-top (pictured). Just keep in mind unlike electric or gas the cook-top has a sensor that knows if the pan has been lifted from the cook-top and shuts down the unit with an error code. So no picking up the pan to swirl around oil or butter. Buy a silicon brush to aid you here.There will be some necessary changes to your cooking style. However I've found the new cook-top rewarding. When you hear claims of how quickly induction works I can state these are true. Made spaghetti the first night this was in. The pot of water boiled in about 2 minutes. The next morning I had a hot skillet ready for eggs in 10 seconds on setting 2. The "lock" keeps you from accidentally turning on the unit or little hands from playing with it.So far I'm loving it and can recommend it. The cost difference not only allows you to buy pans if you need them, but also to hire an electrician if you need an electrical upgrade. To be clear you'd need the same for the Frigidare or Whirlpool units.Now there is a sound associated with induction cook-tops. It's a high pitched warble with a fan noise. It's not unique to this unit. It does let you know it's running. This might bother some people but I appreciate it. The old resistive cook-top made no noise except the occasional click of a relay and had a "safety light" to tell you the unit was hot... somewhere. With this new unit each individual cooktop spot is tracked for being hot even after you power it off
