Install tips… for 36 inch gas cooktop.. We just finished installing this cooktop. For the price we were impressed. The only problem we had was the connector you see in the first photo. As we replaced a GE that was 17 years old we were able to take the old brass fitting and reuse it after cleaning( pic shows wire brush we used).Make sure to use pipe dope(see picture) for the fittings. Do a soapy water test when you turn on your gas line to check for leaks. If there are leaks you need more pipe dope on the fitting threads. If you choose to use pipe tape you must use the yellow one for gas lines. It was time to test… see pic of my awesome husband who did the install! Make sure all burner covers are flush and you will get a steady flame. It was a easy install for us. Tomorrow we will install the range hood. I recommend this product. We did not use the enclosed metal clips. We plan to use a rubber or foam seal under the edge of the cooktop instead. I am happy!

Cause no matter how I move it the grates still wobble. There is nothing to keep the grates from wobbling, we double check the box and nothing. Plus when cooking, the stove top stains very easy and I have to use baking soda to try and clean it. Nice but a little safety issue when it comes to the wobbling grates

The cooktop is beautiful to look at, but as soon as you touch it/use it, it reveals the poor quality of the materials used: the whole unit is very light, scary light; the stainless steel surface is so thin then you can easily push down with your thumb and see it warp; for this reason the top grills, which are indeed quite hefty, don't sit leveled and are already wobbly before I even used the stove once! I paid a lot for a professional install, so I'm torn about what to do, but I'm so tempted to return it. I do not recommend!!

Empava Cooktop. We love the product, it arrived looking just as represented. The only misgiving is that the clips which hold the cooktop in place only work on certain thicknesses of counter tops

This is the first major appliance that I did purchase online. The packaging came in great when it was delivered and it was the exact measurements of this cooktop were perfect to slide right into my cut out on the granite countertop. Hooked everything up according to the directions and works like a charm. the seller and the product are great!!!

Great value! We were waiting on a similar cooktop from Lowes for 4 months before we decided to get one on Empava. It was worth price and we are very impressed with the quality! Works perfectly. Very powerful! Also the grates are super heavy and sturdy. The heaviness makes it a little difficult to lift and clean but that's really my only complaint.

burners are powerful but igniters are not stable. Like its compact size to fit in the small pre-cut hole for my old stove. The center burner is powerful. The two medium heat burners are however at the back. I would prefer them put in the front row instead. One problem I noticed is the igniters which would often continue to spark and click even after the burners are ignited. This may be an issue in long term. I just hope the stove will last long enough
