Braided steel Propane hose with gauge - fits coleman lanterns etc. It is so nice to have a gauge attached to your propane tank or hose. Since most smaller 15 pound tanks don't include a gauge, it was great to get one attached to a steel braided hose, which I hope will last for many years to come. Very often I return tanks with a little fuel left in them. That is wasteful and over a lifetime I'm confident adds up. I was surprised when I connected this to a couple different tanks waiting to be swapped out. While the tanks felt empty, this gauge tells me different. I'm not completely sold on the accuracy of this gauge. I connected it to a freshly swapped tank that should be completely full, and it barely showed past the halfway mark in the green/full section of the gauge. While a tank that I know is very close to empty still showed in the bottom of the green section, and not the yellow sections showing it was almost empty. So I wouldn't trust this if you are going camping in the snow or in a situation where you cannot afford to run out of propane. However, I always try and have a backup tank if it is a situation where running out would not be safe. It is important to note that the brass end of the hose will attach to things like a coleman lantern and some other equipment that you would usualy use a propane tree to connect to. That is nice to be able to use a hose which gives you flexibility on wher you can mount your lantern, etc.

Perfect for use with my camper propane tanks. I wanted to use my small portable grill with my camper's propane tanks. This hose allows me to do just that. I like that it has a braided stainless steel cover on the hose. Squirrels have bitten through the hard rubber hoses on our camper, so I had to replace all of those. Five feet is enough length to allow me to set up a small table near the front of the camper to use the grill. Connection is simple and easy. The gauge makes it obvious that there is adequate propane in the tank. My camper is in storage for the winter, so I used a standard 20 gallon propane tank to test the hose and connections. It works perfectly, so I have no concerns that it won't work with my camper tank.

Good quality product. The stainless braided hose is solid and well built without feeling bulky or unwieldy. Connections are easy to make and connect securely, in my case, to a propane grill. The gauge is also very nice to have as it helps to keep you informed of the general level of gas in your cylinder. Hopefully that will help eliminate the unpleasant surprise of going to grill and being out of gas!

Exactly what I wanted for camping, hooking up the propane tank to my stove! I ordered this because Initially I didn't have an extended propane hose and so I had to keep using expensive 'disposable' small propane tanks. Then I purchased a hose but it never had the meter on it which shows how much gas is left which was quite annoying. So I'm really happy with this one, I love that it hooks up to my Coleman stove and large propane tank (which is a way cheaper way to buy propane!) And It has the gauge so I know exactly how much is left! Also it is winter time and our power keep going out so I keep this hooked up in the greenhouse which is a perfect emergency cooking station!

Handy easy read dial. The 5 foot long Stainless Braided Propane Hose with Gauge and Leak Detector Replacement for Propane Tank, RV, Gas Grills and Heaters is a handy thing to have! Finally, no guesses about how much gas is left in your propane tank as the attached guage has a dial pointer that will give you a clear reading as to whether the tank has gas or if the gas level is low or the tank is empty! The hose is coated in braided stainless for durability causing limited flexibility as does any braided stainless coated hose so choose your tank placement accordingly. The hose has an easy connect end cap so it can be easily screwed on to your propane generated item and your propane tank. It is 5 feet long total and the item is made in China.
