Empava Outdoor Wood Fired and Gas Pizza Oven PG03 EMPV-PG03

Beauty and Function. First off, what a beautiful appliance that everyone will be amazed by. Secondly, the cooking area is quite large. The opening is both wide and tall making it really easy to cook pizza, but also fit large cast iron skillets and other things into the cooking area. Assembly wasn’t too bad for someone who isn’t handy. An extra set of hands was needed to make it less cumbersome. Also, this is a really substantial appliance and it’s pretty heavy so the more hands the better. IMPORTANT TIP: put this together where it’s going to live. This won’t fit through your door if you assemble inside. My ignition switch doesn’t work every time for some reason, but a wand lighter works just as good when I use propane. It gets super hot quickly and is surprisingly efficient with gas consumption. The damper helps control the heat quite well so cooking pizza or searing steak is easy. Baking bread or cooking other foods at lower temps is also easy to control. Overall, I’m very happy with our purchase. Considering the price of some other brands, especially when considering the cost of separately sold stands, covers, and accessories, this appliance is a really great value. If all you want is a basic small pizza cooker, this probably isn’t it, but if you are looking for a statement piece for your deck that also cooks amazing pizza and anything else you want, this will replace your oven, grill, and Traeger.

Nice outdoor oven. Delivery and assembly worked very good. Used a couple of times with no issues, need to learn a few grilling tips. Would be nice if Empava would include a short booklet with tips and techniques. Happy with our new outdoor pizza oven.

Great oven - great pizza! We purchased this pizza oven in December as a Christmas gift for ourselves. I waited to write a review until we executed our plan and then tried a pizza. The pics show how we’ve used the oven. We designed and built a stone base for wood storage and to elevate the oven for easier use. We are so happy with the result! It has added an impressive focal point to our patio. Our FIRST attempt at a pizza produced an amazing result. The taste rivaled pizzas we’ve had from wood-fire pizzerias. The oven quality is great and was packaged very securely for shipment. We will repurpose the cart as a prep station for pizza parties! You cannot go wrong with this oven!

Pizza the way it should be. The thing that puts your pizza over the top is the temp that this oven uses which is way over your home oven. I've made several pizzas and made calzones with some left over dough. My dough recipe is for 16" pies. You can make larger. I needed a larger wood peel for launching and extraction. I used the peel that came with the oven to do the turning. If I never found out how it did wood or coal, I'd be very happy with the propane. Only drawback is the thermometer. Get yourself a laser thermometer to give you the true temp inside the oven. I've added pictures but they don't show up.

Happy customer. We have been enjoying our oven with friends and family on a regular basis. I purchased both gas & wood but have only cooked with wood so far. The oven heats up quickly and makes excellent pizza. Pizzas cook in 2 minutes or less and I can manage 3 personal pizzas at a time. Outstanding value and I recommend this oven. We also made some great calzones the other night. Assembly took an hour but was not too difficult.

Great pizza oven. We love this pizza oven and have been using it a lot this summer. It was easy to assemble and the pizzas come out amazing every time. Knocking off two star because the handle of the door is made of wood and it is stripped. We need to try gluing it.

Love it. I love the wood fired taste and prefer wood fuel because its more organic. You can find wood that fits online shop look for smoak firewood pizza oven wood. This oven is fun to use and cooks pizzas fast.

Great buy. ?For the price, its a must buy for the experience. There is definitely a learning curve to this. You have to get your dough thin thin thin, or it wont cook through. Go light on the sauce and toppings as well, because if not, itll all seemed cooked until you bite in the middle and its all gooey. Overall, it's super fun.

Easy-peasy Pizza...All the Time. We love this. It took a pie or two to get the timing perfected but now we are pros. We break this oven out pretty often and it is easy to transport and use. I would definitely recommend this oven!!!!

Had a little trouble maintaining the heat but I'm sure with a little more practice, we'll figure it out. It was a lot of fun and the pizza was great!

We love our new pizza oven! The wood pellets are super easy to use and the oven heats to cooking temp so quickly! We are learning the art of making the perfect pizza and it's really fun and yummy!

Can't say enough about this product, it is an amazing pizza oven. I hardly ever write reviews but I have to for this oven. The pizza is amazing. There is a learning curve so by the 4th to 5th time you use it you will be on point. By the 7-9th time, you will be making absolute perfection.

Easy to use. So far in less than a month using it, I already make 28 pizza pie , love this thing , easy to use and perfect for family reunion, gourmet pizza at the backyard, what else you can ask for ?

easy to make pizza. Good quality, good price and shipped quickly. We purchased the frozen dough from Walmart and made pizza the following week and shared it with our employees. It was great. It functions exactly as described and makes the best pizza you will ever have.

Excellent Purchase - Great Results. Honestly, I wasn't sure if this was going to be the "ultimate" pizza oven I was seeking. I've used wood and charcoal a few times, pellets once, but usually, I just use bottled propane and the gas burner. The convenience is incredible - I like to make pizza 2-3 times a week - even just a small lunch pizza with fresh dough, and fewer toppings. The convenience of the gas option is perfect for the way I use this - fire it up, wait 25-30 minutes, and wham, 800+ degrees on the stone. I'm using the thermometer less and less because it's becoming so reliable to heat up and cook. Pizzas 1.5-2 minutes - perfect light charring, great results. One adjustment I've had to make is to let the toppings come to room temperature before cooking - which only makes sense since it's cooking so darn fast. I had one question for customer service and they were responsive and resolved my issue 100% - I feel very good about the purchase, the quality, and the functionality

Simply Fantastic. The EMPV-PG02 is as advertised. Heats up fast and makes a great pizza (or three). We've loved it in the short time we've owned it and my kids think it's so cool that we can get pizzas so fast. We can't wait to show it off to friends for a make-your-own-pizza party. So far we've used the charcoal and wood option, which gives great temperature-controlled more about the review stating Simply Fantastic

Love my new oven. Been using it twice a week. My only complaint is that the heat doesn’t distribute as much as I expected. I was also upset to find out that you had a package with the oven I bought that came with the gas attachment, peel, etc for almost exactly the same price as I Love my new oven. Been getting mine with the gas attachment. I know I my fault but I didn’t see that option on the site when I purchased mine. Overall 5/5

AWESOME PIZZA OVEN. Used this bad boy for the first time today, came out way better than I could have hoped for, it was fantastic!! My advice would be to check out the cooking tips on YouTube prior. Pizza cooked in 90 seconds!

Awesome appliance !! Very easy to assemble, learning curve on how to regulate heat, but not difficult to learn. When you learn to keep this oven burning & HOT, It makes great pizzas & very quickly. You'll need a 12" pizza peel. It is NOT included w the oven. & don't forget to buy, hardwood pellets. They work great & are also NOT included.

Best pizza oven I have ever had! This is a stunning pizza oven, really easy to assemble and so simple to get it going! ...drop in the WOOD and light them and away you go... once up to temperature (approx 15 mins) you are all set. A 12” Pizza will literally take around one minute to cook (depending on the base thickness), the thinner the crust the faster it cooks ...but be careful as 15 seconds too long could make a big difference! Super hot and super fast! ...Love this Empava outdoor pizza oven! Best money I’ve spent in a long time!

Best pizza. We love our pizza oven! Its so easy to use and we get perfect pizza every time. We usually make our own dough, but have found it works for cooking up pre-made crust quickly as well.

This is our first pizza oven and I feel like we are already master chefs it’s fun easy to use and I have not burned a pizza yet. Love having the door to help it heat up quicker and having the rear access to help both with cleaning and watching it ignite. The only thing I would improve was to have a higher quality cover. Recommend it to all and would buy again or gives us a gift

Pizza oven is fun! This was a Fathers Day gift for my hubby! It took quite a few tries, but the pizza was delicious even though it wasnt perfectly shaped! lol. A fun family activity and gift for all!

Great pizza oven! This pizza oven is great! It made great tasting pizzas - fast! It was great to be able to use the pellets to run this oven: they are easy to clean up, burn clean, and store easily.

Simply the best oven for beginners. I researched every oven out there, and landed on this one based on the features- and am so glad i did! Its the perfect size- not too bulky. The setup is remarkably easy, and using it is even easier! I love that there are multiple options for fuel.

Great oven, I made great pizza on my own. Easy to assemble and well constructed. There is a little learning curve when making several pizzas in order to keep flames roaring. Follow suggested heat up time rotate pizza as suggested they dont take long to cook, add fuel with each subsequent pizza. Great tasting pizza great product for the quality.

Love Empava. Takes a couple of times to get the hang of adding wood pellets at right time after lighting. Cooks pizza great.

Simply excellent. I love this oven. High temperature is what you need for pizza, and this oven gives it. A couple of reviewers complained about the bottom of the pie being raw when the top was fully cooked. Sounds like they put the pie on the stone too soon. It has a thermometer and wait til the temp of the stone reaches at least 700 F (800 is even better). Start with lump charcoal and add 2-3 sticks of hardwood to jack up the temp just before cooking. Be sure to shop in Empava. It has quite decent price.

Good quality for the product, looks good in my yard. This was a father's day gift. It's worth the size and style and it's good quality. Pizzas cooked quickly. I reccomend rolling your pizza dough thin for the best results.

Best pizza oven by far. I wanted to wait and review this until I used this many times. I bought this 5 months ago and would say I used it about 3 times a month. Things that I've learned: Make sure to lower the setting close to shutting it off before you insert your pie and watch it. They will bake very fast. Wait a bit on the initial time before turning. I use the pizza peel that came with this purchase. You really do not need to buy a pizza peel for turning the pizza. I bought one and dropped a pizza on the way to the counter. So, I basically pull out the pizza with the peel and turn it with my hand quickly and re-insert. Just ten seconds per turn will do it. The cleanup is rather tricky. There is a build-up of soot on the inside and outside. This is normal but try and wear gloves when inserting your hand. If soot gets on your skin - it will smear like an oil slick. Soap takes care of your hand but does not use the inside of the oven. I take a brush to bring out the remaining burnt flour and apply a mixture of baking soda with water to remove the soot and dark stains. You can scrape burned-on cheese with a spatula. Take a look inside and if you see a spot where there is soot about to fall, just get a damp paper towel and remove it carefully. You do not need to clean off all the soot cause it will happen every time you bake. So goes with most another pizza oven. All in all, I love this oven and will continue to use it. You just get the best darn pizza out of it. Hope I helpe

Great Pizza. Very impressed with the quality for starters. Easy to setup, starting the oven was simple. It took a few tries to get the pizza to my preference though. It hits 900 plus degrees after 20 + minutes. I burnt the first couple while I was learning the rotation every 15-20 seconds. However, once I got the hang of it.....excellent pizza!! Very good purchase. I suggest for the new owner that you buy extra dough for your first run. These pizzas cook in a minute or so. I also used a metal spatula to rotate the pizza. Works great!. Pizzas come crispy on top but the bottom does not cook well is my only negative. Regardless, this oven is a must have. 9.4/10. Enjoy!

Stop going out for pizza!! Well after watching many video reviews on YouTube for various pizza ovens, we chose this one by EMPAVA. What a fantastic little oven. Cooks very fast , the dough recipe is very good. We have use ours weekly since received it. Recommend to my friend
