I ordered the home backup with a battery pack expansion. The installation with the contractor went smooth and I have it on standby. I tested the system by disengaging the grid with the result that it immediately engaged the backup. With the unreliability of the grid to maintain electricity to the house even when the storms are not existent, this gives piece of mind and the solar panels also gives a means to charge when the grid is disconnected although it does charge at a slower pace.

Living in south west Michigan, haven’t had a chance to set up my Jackery and connect the solar panels. It’s snowing with not to many sunny days in January. Can’t wait for spring for I bought all this Jackery for my Montana 5th wheel camper. Don’t like paying for camping with these campgrounds over priced. Hopefully my investment of solar will allow us to boondock. Blessings

Does a good job

STS and Whole Home system. I have had to use my system twice already this season. The Oregon coast weather is very stormy so ai really appreciate having lights and such. The only issue I have is using the Jackery app. Not much direction on how to solve flashing lights on my STS panel. Need to send out an updated booklet for the app as well.

Very easy to set up. I'm still testing so I can't comment on performance at this time.

BOO!!! Good Product.

The Jackery 5000 plus units, I purchased 2 of them, along with 8 extra battery packs, gives us 50kwh of backup power when needed, which should last 5-7 days. The large solar charging panels will allow us to keep our units fully charged. We have already experienced 3 brief power outages and had no idea the power went out other than my phone app alerting me that my Jackery STS has kicked on and providing back up power to the entire house. A/c unit ran just fine.

Combined use with a Portable Gas Generator is Smart! Since you can't safely run a portable generator outside during a rain storm/hurricane, the Jackery 5000 is a game changer. I will use the Jackery until the storm passes and then I will use my portable generator to charge the Jackery 5000 in 3.5 hours. Besides not having to run my gas generator constantly for many hours, I will have to use less gasoline over an extended period of time should electrical power failure last longer than expected. The Jackery 5000 is a great solution for standby power. It also will plug into a 240 volt transfer switch. 5 Stars for the Jackery 5000!

Jackery 5000. The 5000 is an excellent piece of equipment. The only problem I had was that parts of it is a little complicated for me, but I managed it.

Have finally received all pieces. Ordered the new 5000 Jackery with 2 solar panels and the transfer switch. Packaging is superb. Unit feels substantial (we received it about a month ago and promptly charged by plugging into an outlet) I will work on finding a qualified electrician to install the transfer switch probably after the Christmas holiday.
