Keeps the heat. I got this as a gift...I love it...the best grill I've ever had.

Just Right. I purchased this two months ago. It is just the right size for a couple. The stand brings the Jr to a really good height and the shelves are a real plus. It uses very little charcoal while delivering terrific smoked products.

the grill is the funnest part now. so glad i finally got one, the amount of fun this provides not too mention the accuracy on long or short cooks is so awesome, plus these are basically the last grill you will ever own, they are built like a tank!

Dissapointed with lack of metal rack but great. The description of this bundle xlearly shows a metal rack included, but there is no metal rack in this bundle. I guess i wont take this one tailgaiting. Disappointing

Fantastic Grill! My brother in law gave me the Joe Jr as a housewarming gift. I recently fired it up and smoked Dino Ribs on it then pulled out the deflector plate and grilled hamburgers, hotdogs, and sausages. This little grill flat out amazed me! It kept a perfect 250 degrees throughout the time I was smoking the ribs and then after adding a few more coals I was able to get it up to a nice hot temperature for grilling. I would say this is perfect for my wife and I and maybe another couple but would be small for a family gathering. For that I would definitely recommend the Original Joe or larger. Looking forward to many more outing on the Joe Jr!

Didn’t get a cover. Got my Junior today! Can’t wait to cook on it but mine didn’t come with the cover. I paid the same price as the ad. Think I should have gotten a cover as well! Thank you. 😊

Best Grill/Smoker-I Miss it! I Loved my Kamado Joe Jr. It was perfect for meals for a few people or just me and my wife! I love how it holds heat perfectly and it is so easy to control with the vent dampers. I’m an avid grill/bbq smoker/at home pit master! I bought the perfect size brisket for me and my wife to eat on for a couple days! It was the best brisket I ever cooked, tender, juicy, and with the perfect smoke ring! It also cooks great chicken wings, with the deflector plate you can make a great reverse seared steak! I made the tragic mistake of trusting the neighborhood apartment I stayed at to let it cool off for half the night in my garage driveway. When I came out to bring it to the patio it had been stolen! Now that me and my wife have left apartment life I look forward to getting another one day, we had many unforgettable meals on it, it’s game changing, worth every penny!! Best all rounder by far!! Bought this summer of last year and so glad I did. I have used it for everything. Kids don't usually eat anything except unless it's gone through the Joe. It gets up to temp in no time and it holds it for a really really long time. Love it. Made ribs, wings, whole chickens, beef, burgers, and the list goes on. Everything I've made has been enjoyed tremendously by all!!

Small Size. Serious Performance. I've owned a few barbecues over the years, but the Joe Jr with cast iron stand genuinely surprised me. Little Red. I’ve had Little Joe Jr for 4 yrs now. Awesome little smoker/griller. Easy to load up in the Truck/RV for camping or any other event you might have goin on. At the beginning I was a little worried about keeping the temp were it needed to be but it’s right on every time. I’ll take BIG RED over Big green any day

The sidekick. I bought this during a surprise sale at a solid price. We currently have a KJBJ3 and having the Jr has been great for those cooks that do not require a big fire or prep. While it’s a hefty and well-built piece of kit, it has gone with us on road trips and camp outs. Additionally, I have taught my children how to grill with it. Like our KJBJ3, we cannot imagine not having it. It’s great.

Excellent Piece of Kit for family of 4. I was worried that the grill would be too small for food for 4, but I was mistaken. From whole chickens, pork shoulders, chicken wings, and chicken thighs, I have been able grill and smoke with less fuel and it’s easier to control the temperature of what I’m cooking. Zero regrets! The only thing that I’d be worried about would be open-lid grilling due to the plastic handle.

Just what we needed! As retirees, the Joe Jr is just perfect for us. It holds four big steaks, so definitely enough grill for us as well as a couple guests. It is easily maneuvered and heats up very quickly.

Joe jr. love. I had no idea I wanted a Kamado Joe jr. bbq , I really had no idea what it even was. But three years ago I bought one on a whim during a sale and I love that little sucker. It’s plenty big enough for my small family. There was a bit of a learning curve, but it’s easy to use. Smoking ribs, cooking roasts, chicken, I particularly like grilling fish as comes out very moist. I even cooked a pizza on it. Great little unit.

Very versatile in different cookings! I have had my Kamado Joe Jr for about two months now. I was surprised at how many different cooking options that it has. Everything from smoking with heat deflectors, grilling, roasting, baking and even pizza!! I love trying out different meals on my Kamado Joe Jr.

My Go-To for Reverse Sear. The Kamado Joe Jr. has totally won me over. I’m big on tri-tip, and this little guy handles reverse sear like a champ—slow it up to 125 with the deflector, then drop the grill down and sear it off for that killer crust. It’s small, but man does it pack a punch in flavor and versatility.

Don’t let the size of the Joe Jr. fool you! So I bought a Joe Jr a little while back and I couldn’t be happier with how awesome the flavor of my cooks. Amazing. I’ve had this grill for about a year now and it is absolutely amazing! It does so much between smoking and grilling I can’t keep my hands off of it. I built my own table for it and I absolutely love it.

Does a BIG job in a small package. This Mighty Joe Jr. does a great job retaining heat. takes a short amount of practice to find the vent settings to get the right temp but is easily repeatable. I highly recommend the Joe Jr.

Great smoke, fantics flavor! We absolutely love the these charcoal. Once they are on Fire lol and you start to see that smoke you know the flavor is coming next. We have had our BIG Joe now two plus years and there is no other charcoal that compares.

Great Little Kamado. This is great for small Items. If I want to cook a smaller meal, I don't need to fill up the full size version. The Jr heats up faster. I currently have a Pellet grill that I will low temp smoke a steak then I through it on the Joe Jr to do a quick reverse sear.

Beast Junior! Bought the Junior several years ago to cook side by side with my other large sized Joe. This thing has been camping and tailgating with me and has worked like a charm. Boy scout trips, fishing trips, and football tailgates! Perfect for throwing in the back of my SUV and taking with me. But my favorite use is firing this thing up to get as hot as possible and throwing a couple thick ribeyes or tomahawks on! Or, using to roast veggies to make fire roasted salsa. Live fire cooking and Joe Jr make your food so much better.

Great little cooker. I bought this because it was on super sale, and I love collecting outdoor cookers. I own a larger big green egg and thought it would just be a looker next to the BGE. But turns out I use the Joe Jr. way more than the BGE, it's quicker to start and it's great for the amount of meat I need to cook for dinner for my family.

A daily griller. What started off as a challenge to stop using my home's electric oven has evolved into a way of life for my wife and me. Just over a year ago I decided to cook dinner at least 4 times a week on the Joe Jr for the two of us. That effort became and everyday occurrence the first week. We've stocked our freezer with individually portioned sized meats, from steaks cut down to a smaller serving to boneless chicken thighs, hamburger patties, pork chops, fish fillets, etc. Every single night we each choose one protein, one vegetable and share a salad. This accidentally led to us cooking with zero waste (as in no leftovers) and we've each dropped at least 20 lbs. because of the elimination of overly processed foods. I bought a taller stand with casters and easily roll the Joe Jr. in and out of my garage each evening, keeping it out of the weather. The only time I don't use my Joe Jr. is when I'm using my Classic Joe because I'm feeding more people than just us. With the reduced weight, healthier foods and electric savings (yeah, the lump charcoal IS cheaper than electricity) I can honestly say my Joe Jr. has become a life saver. A delicious, delicious life saver.

Joe Jr. - The Perfect BBQ. I have owned a large BGE for about 15 years and wanted a smaller BBQ for our cottage. I purchased a Joe Jr. I am amazed at the quality of the BBQ and it is a perfect size for two people to make a full out BBQ with steaks, potatoes and veggies. If you have a few friends over it will hold 7 large burgers. The price was more than fair, quality exceptional and the extras that came with it (grill lifter, ash rod cleaner and round cooking stone) are awesome. The BGE came with no options. If I were buying a new large BBQ, it would not be the BGE! The Joe Jr. cooks flawlessly and the only bad thing about it is I have put on weight because of the great meals I have made. You will not go wrong buying a Joe Jr. or any of their other BBQs. Love my Joe Jr.!

Joe Jr. Bought the Jr 5 months ago and could not be happier it lights fast and keeps heat where you set the temp stays even when it is cold or hot very good construction and quality.

Great travel buddy. I have used my Joe Jr for smoking fish, beef, pork, chicken, sea food, baloney, pasta, cheese and paella. I camp about 6 months a year and my Joe Jr. travels with me everywhere. When home I depend on my Classic 3, and when I go without my Kamado Joe coming home is like returning to family! All of my friends and family think I'm a great cook! That happened after I bought the Kamado Joe Jr!!!

The Weekday Warrior! I have 2 Joe Jr's. These are incredibly fuel efficient and easy to use grills. They're quick to get up to temp and quick to shut down. Because of this I often use the Jr along side my Classic 1 to cook a side dish while I'm using the rotisserie on the Classic. The Jr on the Kamado Joe Jr cart is also where my 11 yr old daughter learned how to grill because the overall height is perfect for her. In my opinion there are still a few cons to the Jr. One is, this actually applies to all Kamado Joe grills, the inability to pick up/out the entire grate assembly (the rack, grates with food on them, whatever deflector setup you're using) to either add more lump charcoal or add smoking wood if needed. You basically have to perform open heart surgery with 200-500 degree objects mid-cook to adjust/fix any issues you may have. The doesn't happen all the time but it would be nice if grate assembly's already accounted for this. Another con is when you want to travel with the Jr. I always have to completely remove all ceramic parts from each other in fear of breaking. I wish there was a slightly oversized padded object that would be placed in the dome with straps to hold the dome closed with enough pressure to keep ceramics from moving too much. Overall, there are far more pros than there are cons with any of the Kamado Joes.

Couple size. Love the size of this Joe JR. It is easier to move around, so I've taken it with me camping and to the beach. Perfect for a couple or a small family.

Little but mighty! The Joe Jr is a force to be reckoned with. Just like its big brothers, the JR can maintain those low and slow temperatures for a looooong time! Love the portability. The Joe Jr. compliments my Classic II. This one travels with me to tailgates, lake house and family parties. All the same ease as the Classic II for me, I've done low and slow and got it hot for pizza's on a soapstone.

Awesome Small Kamado. I made an amazing caramelized onions and tomatoes chicken sausage in this grilled and turned out amazing. Even my son who doesn't like vegetables ate this dinner. I made the sausages on the grill, added a cast iron pan with butter, monk sugar, salt, pepper. This grill is good to make a quick small dinner.

Compact and perfect for during the week cooks! I bought the Kamado Joe Jr. about a year ago. I had always cooked on gas grills. Once we tried charcoal cooking as a family we have not gone back. The Jr. is great size for small families and cooks great. You get all the benefits of a Kamado grill, but a nice compact size, so less charcoal and easier clean up.

Great traveling Joe. I got this for my birthday and love it. Great for searing steaks and chicken breasts. I use the grill to finish ribs and tri-tip after smoking. This is a great grill and not I'm looking to move to the larger grill for daily use.

Great Grill. Love this thing. It is limited on capacity, but cooking for less than 4 people, you're totally fine. Also if you live in an apartment, it works great as you dont have much additional free space. You can sear on high heat, or cook low and slow. I have fit whole chickens (stand up beer can style and spatchcock), 8-10 burgers, pork chops, rib eyes, fish, vegetables, the whole shaboodle. There is a learning curve to this grill, but in my opinion, well worth it if you enjoy live fire cooking. I have had one of these since 2021 and have been in love with it since then.

What a Great Little Kamado Cooker! Bought this based on a recommendation from a friend who has one. I had a large Big Green Egg prior to this grill which I sold because it took up too much space in the garage. This Joe Jr. is the perfect size and honestly, it can cook more food than I thought. Obviously, you are limited as to the max cooking time due to the size of it's charcoal basket, but I have cooked a 6 hr. pork butt on this without issue. I bought a "Kick Ash" basket to go with this and it is a great little addition to my "Boy Toys". I bought this on Amazon for $249.00 too. It sits next to my red MV Agusta motorcycle and mtn. bikes. All the toys a guy needs!

Nice portable grill! I don’t know if I would even call this a portable. Cooks great and makes enough food for me and my wife. I got bigger grills smokers that I use for briskets and bigger cuts of meat, but I prefer to bbq on the Joe jr, because it is consistent and flavor is always good!

The best for windy areas. I live in East side of Canada where the wind is omnipresent all days. So never a good day for BBQ! Since I bought my small red dragon, I'd never been so happy the play THE BBQ King whatever the weather. I'm sure it has been created for rough areas.

Kamado Joe Jr. So glad I purchased my Kamado Joe Jr at a great price and it came in excellent condition . Easy to unbox and assemble . I was able to do it myself , but it would be easier with 2 people . It’s well made and it has been taking over my other grills . Heats up fast gets to the temperature I want and need to Smoke or Grill my favorite proteins . Everything comes out Moist Tender Juicy and Delicious . I received many compliments from my neighbors and friends . Everyone loves it and of course me too . I highly recommend this Kamado for anyone who loves BBQING .

Nice little grill. Bought this grill for a comparison with BGE. Been real happy with the grill, it does everything I need it to do. Smoke a butt, ribs or just cook Hot dogs and hamburgers. Would highly recommend.

Quick and convenient Kamado flavor. I've had my Kamado Joe Jr for over a year now and also have a full size one. I like the Jr. for quicker heat up and for when I'm not cooking as much food. It saves fuel and time. It works just like it's big brother! Reliable, enjoyable, and makes delicious BBQ.

Easy entry unit to see if you like Kamados. I started with this lil guy when I got it on a great sale from WalMart. Even though I have the Big Joe II now, I still use the Joe Jr for smaller cooks or to augment my plans if I'm cooking different meats for a larger group. Due to the size it is very easy to manage temp and airflow. I was even able to squeeze a honey ham in for a Christmas meal while I had the joetisserie going on the big guy. I eventually added a wheeled platform to make it easier to move so I'm glad they now have a real stand available.

Great little kamado. I've had my Job Jr for a couple of years now and absolutely love it! Perfect for small cooks! It will get crazy hot for searing meats and it will hold a low temperature (225°) for hours for 'low and slow'! Comes with accessories!! I can't wait to get the new stand for it!!

Great smoker and great accessories available. The Joe Jr is plenty big enough for what I need. The temp is a lot easier to control than I thought is was going to be. I love the product! Very well built. Very solid. Crazy Quality!
