Excellent Crust. I bought this because I used to use a pink salt block years ago and wanted something that would work as well. The thing to remember is to get it up to temp for a good while so it’s heat soaked. When prepped well, it makes a killer crust. The only recommendation is to set it on top of the grill grates to prevent it from breaking under weight.

Great Cover. Fits perfect. Just happened to have an ice and wind storm shortly after installing and it stayed perfectly in place

Perfect searing & seafood surface. I purchased the soapstone for my Joe Jr and I absolutely love it! It’s great for searing and because it’s naturally non stick, it’s even better for cooking seafood. Clean up is easier than cast iron. It’s worth the investment.

like a dinner jacket for the grill. Cover looks and feels great! So when the Joe is not in use, it is still looking great and is protected.

The best cooking surface. The soapstone is the one accessory you need when cooking fine items like fish. But don't let that stop you from making smash burgers. It also does a fantastic job searing steaks. Breakfast? Bacon and eggs are wonderful. Just a great accessory.

Stick food! I had another KJ soapstone that worked perfectly for samon. My KJ Jr stuck my salmon so much taht vlean if it was nearly impossible with a soft brush and warm soapy water. The surface was not as smooth as my other stone reason maybe damaged my food.

Versatile Cooking Surface. I use the soapstone for fish and delicate foods. It also makes a great pizza stone. It can handle the high heat for pizza and provides a nice crispy crust. It is easy to clean and is a great multi use cooking surface.

Perfect cooking surface. I recently purchased the Soapstone for the Kamado Joe Jr. and I have to tell you this is a the perfect surface to cook on. I truly believe I made a great purchase

Do Not Purchase. I purchased this on June 12. Although the description states "Designed with UV resistant technology to limit fading and sun damage", this cover has faded beyond belief. I have other grill covers that have not faded in 10 years. Very disappointed with this purchase and do not recommend.

Not the best out there. After a few uses it broke and we tried to get it replaced, however, the company would not replace it and was not helpful or friendly at all.

A necessary item if you have a Joe. I live in a climate that gets quite a bit of rain. My Joe can be exposed to some of that. So, the cover is necessary and works like a charm!

Soapstone Supremacy. I did a lot of research before purchasing a soapstone. I came to the conclusion that I’d try one. My first was for my big Joe. When I ordered my Joe Jr, I went immediately and bought the soapstone. I use it as the sear station, frying eggs. Heating tortillas is also a dream it is worth every penny

Great Grill Protection. Perfect fit and great quality of material! Would highly recommend to protect your investment!

Multi-use Soapstone. Purchased the Soapstone on the recommendation from a friend, and I love it, it is of good quality, it is nice and thick. We have cooked Pizza on it, and made smash burgers, and have used it to do a double indirect set up. All in all a great product.

Not for longevity. Longevity is this cover’s weakness. In my second kamado joe brand cover. First one was so terrible after 3 months, that it was replaced because it basically hardened to a faded gray color. This second one has faded with threads fringing. Not has bad fading on the black parts, but holds moisture around the cap area, so rusting is a concern; have to wipe every other day almost. For the price, I think purchasing 2 off-branded covers on Amazon is the way to go.

Great quality. Very high quality cover that fita like a glove and will last a long time

Double heat deflector. Useful for searing, also use in the Joe Junior as a heat deflector to double up and provide better thermal balance while smoking in such a small package

Great stone. I’ve used this as a flat top and a pizza stone. It works good for both however cracks did start to form after only two cooks. Fortunately it was replaced for free with the warranty and I haven’t had any problems with the second stone.

Love this for smash burgers. Great product. Love to us for smash burgers or searing a steak!

Jr Soapstone adds more versatility to my Jr. I love the Jr soapstone it adds versatility for Jr to cook steak, chicken, seafood

KJ Jr Soapstone. A must have for any KJ Grill for cooking seafood. Love it!

Decorative piping not good. In less than 2 weeks the decorative red piping had already deteriorated. Does not look good at all. Works fine but looks like it’s 2 years old!!

Best accessorie for jor jr. Gives a great crust and easy to clean and maintain

Faded and Brittle. After about a year of service, this cover is completely faded, and so brittle that it is cracking. The Big Joe cover in the photo is actually about 2 years older than this one, and it is still in great shape despite being in the same sunlight conditions. I don't know why the Joe Jr cover is so much lower quality. If you buy this, register it and save your receipt, as my be warranty inquiry was denied.

Joe Junior Soap Stone. Great addition to Joe Jr…we cooked Maine Lobster tails on it and they turned out perfectly!

Great cover. Glad I bought this cover. Keeps th grill covered an dry.

FADED and Fraid ribbing in a few months. Poor. Bought in May. it is July and it has totally faded. NOT for use in sun or really weather. Ribbing fraid from just wind. Boo. It does protect grill so theres that. My Traeger cover has been used longer and looks like the day it was purchased.

Cover. The cover has faded terrible in the short time i have had it while my classic cover still looks like new 4 years later.

Nice. Wasn't as smooth and flat as I was thinking it was going to be. There's a ledge of 0.040" where the surfacing machine gouged the surface. Other than that, soapstone works near perfectly

Use in place of cast iron. I cooked some filets on the soapstone and they came out FANTASTIC!

Kamado Joe Jr Soapstone is great! Great addition to my Kamado Joe Jr. Perfect size for my weekday cooks. Holds heat very well and makes a great sear.

I use this at least 3 times a week! This has become my most used cooking surface. I like my cast iron grate, but absolutely love this soapstone. Highly recommend!!!

Jr Cover - pretty darn cool! With all the supply chain delays the product was delayed a bit getting to its destination but all in all Kamado Joe is great and we love your products.

Joe Jr Cover. This was the second one I purchased - my son gifted us the Joe Jr and I bought one for us - he liked the Jr so much when he was here visiting he added one to his collection of Kamado Joe grills so I bought him a cover for his :)

Joe Jr Soapstone. The packaging was great and it worked well right out of the box. The quality was awesome and I’m happy with how this accessory has expanded what I am able to do with the Joe Jr.

Fits like a glove! Works great and fits like a glove. I love that it is easy to install and remove. I don't normally buy grill cover but this is a definite must have.

Soapstone is a "Must Buy". This thing is great for searing - easy to use and clean. As a beginning BBQ user, this is easily my favorite accessory.

Nice, but...... It fits our Joe perfectly, and the design assures it will not blow away. Unfortunately, it faded from a nice black to a dull gray within the first couple of weeks.

Ordered 6 weeks ago and still don’t have it. I only gave 1 star because there is not zero. I ordered my husbands Father’s Day gift on 6/16/21 and as of today 8/1/21 still don’t have it! Nothing. zero. The only communication I’ve had is my emails asking where it is and this survey. I know things are running longer but this is ridiculous.

great fit. tough. I have had this for a few months. it fits well. it is made from thick tough fabric. it is worth the $$. the grill cost a lot more.
