Rove Concepts Aubrey Side Chair – Ebony

These are very nice chairs. Our only observation is that the chairs do not slide easily on the area rug and we may need to put new Teflon sliders on the bottom. Also, the some of the brand tags on the back of the chairs are crooked. Otherwise, we really like the look and quality of the chairs.

Pricey, long delivery time, one of the chair leatherette seatbacks had an obvious black smudge that went through the plastic chair wrap. Fortunately I am familiar with Lexol leather cleaning products which took me 30 mins to clean a 2 inch deep grease smudge. Need better quality control and the discount is not that great with the membership.

Unfortunately, the chairs were quite difficult to assemble. Some of the seat pans had to be mixed and matched with different bases in order for the metal screw inserts to align properly with the wooden bases. Two of the six chairs assembled easily, but the remaining chairs each had at least one of the four metal inserts misaligned, making the screws extremely difficult to line up.With patience and careful work, we were eventually able to connect most of the bolts into their proper slots. However, there is one chair where only three of the four metal inserts work. The fourth hole appears to either be missing the metal insert entirely, or the insert has shifted away from the pre-drilled hole and cannot be located. As a result, we are not able to fully or safely assemble that chair.

Very comfortable chair with simple clean lines. Durable vegan leather allows light spot cleaning.

Chairs are pretty. Comfortable. Unfortunately 2 of the 5 had defective fabric. Minor blemish but still a blemish. Can only return within 3 days. I missed that window. This is the upgraded microfibre leather.

Well made, both the base and leather material feels premium

The chairs are striking and we receive regular compliments. However, we received 2 chairs with mars in the “leather” and one with stripped hardware. Their resolution was fair, in theory, but I have yet to see the promised replacement chair nor the credit. They said 2-3 weeks and we are going on 8 weeks.

I love the chair and it looked beautiful in my space.Unfortunately I have a few larger family members that did not fit comfortably.

As a trade partner I would like to say this chair is a terrific value for a great product. I had not ordered this fabric before and was pleasantly surprised. It’s soft, durable, and a perfect soft white. I used these in my own home for a casual kitchen dining chair. Smudges are easily cleaned. My only complaint is the assembly. I had to make a run to the hardware store to purchase longer screws that would actually hold the chair together.

After an extensive search, we chose the Aubrey side chair for its timeless style and comfort. We were hesitant to purchase the chairs online because we were unable to test them out in person. However, we've seen Rove Concepts furniture in showrooms and knew they would be quality pieces to enjoy for a long time. They nicely complement our existing antique table and captains' chairs.

Nice minimalistic chair tthat goes well with our style, only one complaint, and that is that they came unassembled.

Looks amazing. When assembling these, the cushions and legs don’t fit perfect but decent enough. Time will tell if they hold up.

Really comfortable

The chairs are extremely sturdy and low profile. They look great with a live edge table. However, the shipping box needs reinforcement to handle rough handling by delivery system. 2 of the 4 boxes had damage to the box where the legs had punched through the styrofoam packaging. 1 chair base had a broken piece. 4 of the 6 chairs were not easy to assemble - all did require good arm strength. Replacement of broken chair was handled quickly although the shipping time was longer than the original order.

Beautiful chairs with high quality fabric and comfortable seats. Only downside is you can see a bit of the black underside where the tag is from the back due to the design of where the legs hit.

The Aubrey dining chairs are beautiful, good quality and reasonably priced. The staff at Rove Concepts, Yoshi and Samantha were fantastic handling our order and Bolt delivery was great. We were so happy with our previous purchase that we trust purchasing from Rove Concepts again.

I recently purchased the Aubrey Side Chair, and overall I’m very happy with it. The design is elegant and modern, and it blends beautifully with my other pieces. The chair feels sturdy and well-made, and the comfort level is great for both everyday use and when we have guests over.The only downside was that the chair arrived with some dirt on it, which I had to clean myself. While it wasn’t a major issue and the chair looks fine now, I was a bit surprised to see that in a brand-new piece. Hopefully, Rove will take more care with quality control moving forward.That said, I’m satisfied with my purchase and think the Aubrey Side Chair is a stylish and timeless addition to any space.

Well built and easy to assemble, I look forward to using these chairs for the next 10+ years. The size is right, and for a low/mid back chair, they are quite comfortable. They do look great. I need a new table to make them justice now.

The Aubrey side chairs are just what I expected. The microfiber faux leather upholstery is soft to the touch and the seats are comfortable. They look lovely with my Winston round table.

Fabulous chair!!! Searched everywhere for this style and only found it at Rove and for an amazing price, too!!! It’s the perfect addition to my kitchen. It makes the kitchen table look so luxurious and prestige… a Milan feeling!!!

We are big fans of Rove! I bought 6 Aubrey Side Chairs for our recent purchase of the 79 Oval Tulip Table. The chairs are very solid and are an incredible value. Although we were looking for more colourful chairs than the Aubrey offers, we wanted substantial and walnut-stained legs and easy-clean so we went for it. The vegan leather looks authentic and is very easily wiped clean. Our dining room is quite small and these chairs slide in neatly when not in use making it easy to navigate around the small area. Why 4 stars instead of 5? One of the 6 chairs is very wobbly with a leg that is at least a 1/4 inch shorter than the rest. We fixed the wobbling with some felt floor protectors under that one leg, but were disappointed as the other 5 chairs are absolutely solid. If you buy, do read and follow the instructions for attaching the seat to the base.

It’s good overall, but the logo is falling off from the glue. Needs better paste

Nice design and comfortable but dents in the fabric from packaging. Also had two other chairs that didn’t line up well and couldn’t get all screws in and created gaps between the wood and back of chair. Ribs is good about sending new product or giving a credit if you prefer

These dining chairs have been a fantastic addition to our dining space. Right out of the box, they looked just as good as advertised — sleek, stylish, and well-crafted. The design is both modern and timeless, making it easy to blend with a variety of table styles.

Structure and style are excellent. Very comfortable. Two of six chairs are wobbly, but I will unfasten and refasten seat to see if changing fastening sequence will help, otherwise I will use spacers to even the chair legs. I did strip one fastener on one chair, not from over tightening, the threads were not clean, and the screw started well, but was unusually tight after the first couple of turns. (Factory defect). Overall we are satisfied with form and function.

This chair is very comfortable with a soft seat. You can sit on it for long hours without feeling uncomfortable. Highly recommended!

Wow, beautiful and sturdy chairs

We bought two of these chairs and are most happy with them. They are elegant and well made. We use them as meditation chairs and they are very comfortable for sitting for longer periods of time. Highly recommend.

First, these are beautiful and come easy to assemble in two pieces. The leather feels plush and premium, and the legs are solid, gorgeous wood that matches the burled walnut in other pieces we own. Among other things, we needed very sturdy chairs, and six months in, they are filling that bill. Aesthetically, they blend mid-century and traditional elements perfectly to complement our eclectic transitional style.

They're comfy and look modern. My little one used her marker to draw on them by accident, and I could easily clean it with a wet cloth. Good quality.

Smart design, good quality but didn't enjoy having to assemble them after paying more then I expected. If they continue to perform well without deteriorating, I'll be very satisfied.

Chairs are great. Only one issue, the company raised letter emblem is missing off one of the four chairs I purchased. It's annoyingly obvious that it's missing.

We purchased the Aubrey side chairs to go with our dining room table. They match perfectly and really give that particular room the perfect finishing touch! they’re easy to assemble, as well as super easy to clean. You just simply wipe them with a wet rag never had to use anything besides a little bit of water and I just wipe them down. They are the same material as our modular, which is great, especially if you have children. I would definitely recommend the chairs, as well as other products from Rove. This was our second purchase with this company, and it will definitely not be our last! Like I said 10 out of 10!

The Aubrey Side chairs are beautiful. However, they did come with some missing screws and one cracked leg. Customer service was quick to respond and the problem was solved. I do find them a bit small for people with a bigger body frame, but overall they're sturdy.

I love this chair! It’s everything a modern dining chair should be - comfortable, sturdy, great looking and has finish options. I love the ppm finish for my crazy crew for the peace of mind in cleaning. The only thing I wish is that there were more colour options. That said I still give it 5 stars.

Very nice material and comfortable chairs. They are very deep so when placed around a round dining table, they dont go all the way in and sticknout about 6” away from the edge of the table

I am very happy with my purchase. I bought six Aubrey side chairs and two Aubrey armchairs to complete my dining chair set and they are exactly as pictured. The legs are solid wood, (I found out the unfortunate way when one chair was arrived broken due to shipping, but the problem was resolved smoothly) and the walnut stain makes these chairs pop. Looking forward to discovering other gems from Rove!

These chairs are great quality, with a lovely modern look. You can easily wipe the seats, but they do not feel cheap. The wood was a little darker than pictured, but very nice. The only thing I would have changed is having something on the bottom so they are not so rough on the floor.

Perfect chairs. Comfortable and easy to wipe clean. There is a small gap at the back of the seat where crumbs can hide but not to hard to get out with a small brush. The chairs look modern and fit beautifully with our Winston table.

These chairs are great. Solid, comfortable and attractive. Don’t count on the delivery date - Rove stuff takes forever to come - but if your patient- it’s worth it.

I like this chair, the style and the comfort. One chair came broken and that was a disappointment. It took 6 months to get this furniture and I was concerned that if I ordered another one it could take another 6 months. Your website is so slow and takes a long time to get from one click to the next in comparison to other websites. Also your customer service is difficult to reach and I could never reach a person. Your furniture is cool but need some work on availability and people skills.

These chairs are beautiful and great quality. The seat itself is very long which I wasn’t sure about at first but I’ve quickly grown to love it. It actually makes the chair extremely comfortable as you have more surface area of support. The only reason I gave 4 stars was due to delivery. It took over a month to arrive to me which I was not expecting as ETA at the time of ordering was 2 weeks. For the amount that they charge for shipping, I was disappointed at how slow the delivery was.

I like the chairs; small, pretty comfortable, can be cleaned, but definitely not leather. Big problem was one chair arrived with a leg (dramatically) broken off. Very hard time getting customer service to respond. Finally went to my account and saw that they gave me a credit that didn’t cover shipping! I paid for shipping for a broken chair and now they are charging me another $139 to ship a replacement! What?? Won’t order again.

Chair looks beautiful. I got it customer ordered with the microfiber leather, which is smooth and easy to clean. I prefer it over the PU leather. Chair seems sturdy, though I found that it is attached to the legs by screwing on the base of the chai at the bottom and relies on the tension for the back- so not sure if that is a potential weak point in the chair over time that could break. Unfortunately, one came damaged, but Rove customer service has been helpful in resolving the issue.

Our dining table hasn’t arrived yet but we’re still getting a lot of use out of them- we have these chairs all over the house because they’re nice to sit in and make the space look nicer! Delivery time was reasonable (item was in stock)- I ordered during thanksgiving and it got here first week of December!

I had to wait a long time for these chairs to arrive (they were lost in transit for four weeks!) but they are worth the wait. They are beautiful! Monaco Cream is a beautiful colour and the walnut stain legs go well with my flooring and existing furniture. The chairs are quite comfortable to sit in (the seats are narrower than my current dining chairs). Because they are narrower than my current chairs, two chairs fit easily on each side of my dining table, which is exactly what I wanted. Customer service through the frustration of the transit issues was very good. The Claims department was ready to ship me replacement chairs when my order finally showed up. Only down side is now I want the Aubrey barstools and Aubrey lounge chair!

We have ordered Aubrey Counter Stools in Monaco White previously and really liked them, and that's why we decided to go for the Aubrey Side Chair as our dining chairs. We loved how they look in my dining room and how they match with the stools. One chair arrived with a minor defect in the leg joint area and the customer service was able to resolve the issue by providing me store credit.

The chairs are sturdy and well made. A bit harder than I thought they would be, but still very comfortable. The microfiber leather is soft yet feels durable. The chairs came in good packaging material and arrived undamaged. The shipment took about 3 months, but I believe in part all shipments around the world were having delays around the holidays.

We have not really used them yet since we still don't have dining table to go with the chairs, but they look and feel nice and good quality chairs. I only gave 4 stars because of the wood color . It's way too dark for my decor and much darker than pictures; it's like dark chocolate .

The chairs are far more comfortable than the metal ones we swapped them for, especially during work from home. They are not quite a match to our maple dining table but close enough in the darker threads. I also thank Rove concepts for a vegan leather option, as a vegan myself, this can be very hard to find.

The chairs are well made, sturdy and comfortable. The process to actually get them delivered is cumbersome and difficult. Production and shipment was delayed for months and onec the product was in the States, we had to schedule delivery on two separate occaisions because the carrier did not deliver the chairs when scheduled. Rove itself was not helpful at all in the process either, overall a good product but very bad experience.

These chairs are beautiful - unfortunately the pictures don’t quite do the finished effect justice as the house decor isn’t complete and I am getting the wood stained to match the table top but I am extremely happy - they are beautifully constructed, sturdy, comfortable and elegant - well worth the 14-16 week wait. My only minor issue would be that 2 of the plastic stops on the bottom of the chairs to prevent scuffing the floors were missing and I had to take them all out and replace them with felt which was mildly inconvenient. Don’t second guess you won’t regret - I chose the grey colour and it was perfect and the light wood finish so that I could sand and put a wash over them! They are out being stained now!

The product is exactly what I expected from the pictures and description. The company on the other hand had been VERY difficult to deal with. Nobody ever answers the phone and they take days and days to respond to email, if ever. I have a damaged chair and need a replacement yet nobody will contact me.

I absolutely love these chairs! So sturdy and comfortable. Really well made chairs. And they come assembled! I got the dark grey because I have a toddler and they’re pretty. I do get nervous with her in the chairs with her greasy butter fingers all over them. They wipe off well, but it’s hard to get it off so she still uses an old chair bc I don’t want to wear out that chair bc I’ll be scrubbing it every day. I definitely recommend these chairs!

What great chairs! I'm tall and thin, so chairs have to hit the right spot on the back and provide cushion for the bum to be comfortable. This chair meets both! I can sit in it for hours and it starts supportive and soft. Very sturdy frame - feels very high quality. Wide seat allows for comfort in any sitting position. Beautiful in Monaco white with the ebony legs.

Beautiful chair, great quality but the color was off. I guess the dye varies from batch to batch but the chairs I received were a lot more 'yellow' than what was pictured online. I had to exchange them.

I order 4 Aubrey Side Chair, they are very confortable, but the Monaco Cream PU Leather was not uniform on all the 4 chairs. Some have a more yellow color, but in general they looks good.

The chair is very nice with a great price. The wood joinery is just OK but the leather looks real and the chair is comfortable.

The chairs are elegant yet simple, not too tall for my small home. Made from quality materials-beautiful walnut and buttery leather. A bit hard and I’ll need small attractive pillows for lumbar support, but otherwise are beautiful. Will work for long dinners and while not in use will add a nice touch to my home. I’d definitely recommend.

I really like these modern chairs, hope they will last long time. We have to wait for replacement chairs as several of them were damaged in shipment, this I can’t send any pictures yet. I would suggest to have a way better packaging that can prevent breakage of wooden legs.

These chairs are absolutely stunning and they are incredibly comfortable. They are soft, just like real leather! This is our third or forth purchase from Rove and we will be back in the fall for more of these chairs and some matching stools. I have had a couple of small issues with certain aspects of the ordering process but everything was always resolved as quickly as they were able and everything arrived in perfect condition so I am a very happy customer. :)

The chairs are very elegant and comfortable. The soft touch of the leather and the solid wood leg make the chairs very sturdy and high quality. For the price and the quality of it, it beats 99% of the chairs in the market. I don't think anyone would be disappointed when they see the chair in person. It's even better than the picture looks.

I call this my ‘sexy back’ chair. I wanted a well-designed chair/both comfortable and with clean lines and visual interest. I also wanted matching counter stools. I was hesitant to to buy a chair without sitting in it first, but it had good reviews and is very comfy. It goes beautifully with my white quartz counters and bamboo cabinets.

Absolutely gorgeous! I purchased the cream leather with walnut stain and am extremely happy. They go well with the European Ceramic Winston Dining table, as the woods match. Very classy and I have received many compliments. Highly recommend purchasing the Rove Membership to make things more affordable. Shipping was slower than expected but definitely worth the wait!!

The chairs are great. I like them very much. The delivery was prompt and uneventful. Two chairs were received with glides randomly missing off of the legs. No buggy I can buy some new one. I just thought it would have been checked before shipping the iris YVR out. I purchase eight of them. I did receive one chair with a small knife mark on the wood about one inch long. I don’t know how to fix it but am probably going to have to bring it to a professional.

We absolutely love our Aubrey chairs! They are an amazing quality and look perfect in our mid century modern space.

We ordered 6 Aubrey side chairs for our formal dining room. Leather and wood of the chair was better than I expected. The only con for me would be the seat length itself was much longer than I thought, but it does sit more comfortably being longer too. Chair is smaller than pictured, so it dosen't take up much room. Rove may be a tad expensive but the quality is good.

After a short wait, our two new chairs arrived in perfect shape. I am very happy with the styling and sturdiness. They seem much more comfortable to sit in than my former chairs--easier on my back. All my worries about ordering online without seeing and touching the product came to nothing. They are as pictured--better than pictured, in fact.

The Audrey chair in cream looks great. It’s comfortable, sturdy, and well-made. The vegan leather is of good quality - soft and thick. Hoping the color and the material will wear well over time.

The design of the chairs pair perfectly with the Evelyn table. We love most everything from Rove Concepts and the quality of everything we’ve purchased from RC has been amazing. However, the Aubrey chairs arrived damaged and there were some significant quality issues. However, Rove Concepts customer service was outstanding and they are sending us replacement chairs right away. The chairs are a new product to RC so I’m sure they will resolve the quality issues and I would still recommend purchasing these chairs.

Nice design. It is a little pricey for a faux leather chair. The finishing at the very bottom of the legs is not done nicely. It came with one of the rubber feet missing. Since those are rubber feet, they don't slide smoothly. I replaced all the rubber feet with felt ones for easy sliding on my hardwood flooring.

I bought 4 of these in slate color. They are comfortable, sturdy, and very nice. What is great about the chair is the solid wooden base, so it will hold a good amount of weight. The back has a nice ergonomic curve to it. Very nice and modern.

Love this chair. Got 8 in Cream for my white dining table in a white apartment in a warm climate. The nice thin profile padding makes it sleek yet comfortable. I tried the modern hard leather chairs which are all the thing, but they are not comfortable unless one is padded like these.
