Auto Akorn backup! I had bought this as a backup for my auto akorn in case the fan blower or computer ever broke. Well low and behold I had the new auto akorn for a whole week when the fan blades melted and could not be used. I submitted the damage under warranty and they just sent me a new fan. I was glad to have this ashpan so I could use my grill. The ashpan on the auto akorn does not have a bottom damper. I did add a felt gasket around the surface as well as around the cooking surface of the akorn to get a real good seal. I would recommend

Grill holds water. Poor design. If the design was better I would not need to replace this part. It holds water from rain. Rusts out easy. Rest of the grill is well designed and built.

Great product, not so great customer service. The product arrived in great condition. The fitment was good and looks good. Customer service on the other hand needs work. The ashpan was in stock so I ordered it. Got a confirmation email about my order and it said that I'll get another email when the product ships. Waited a week and still no shipping confirmation email. I sent customer service an email and still no reply back. I had to send them another email a few days later before they actually replied back. They told me the product was on backordered. They just received it and will send it out in 72 hours. Overall, product is a five star but only 2 star for customer service.

CharGriller stands behind their grills and parts. I was very excited to receive my replacement part as fast as I did. The one down side was it had a big dent on the side. I called customer service a new part is on its way. Excellent customer service!!!!!!!!
