Perfect size for a single person. I bought last year late summer in time to have a few neighbors over. It was perfect. I love that it has cast iron grates to cook on. I wish it was built a bit sturdier. It is top heavy so the the frame is wobbly, making it feel less stable when moving/wheeling it from the garage to the patio.

Charcoal All The Way. Finally switched over to the charcoal grill from being a die hard propane, much easier, mindset. Bought this lil grill last spring and have not touched my propane grill once. Have done everything on this grill even smoked a turkey. Love the flavor and just fun to figure out the different ways such as indirect, smoking, direct heat, ways of grilling. This was the best purchase I've made in a long time. Highly recommend!!

great small grill. I have had this small grill about a year and its perfect for my wife and I to cook burgers or brats and anything else you like to grill the cast iron racks are great but only negative comment I can make is the plastic wheels are terrible they wobble bad and on of them off and i had to replace them with metal lawnmower wheels other than that I love this grill

Perfect sized. I brought this grill for my deck. It fits perfect on my deck. It holds a lot of food. I love the ash pan it just slides out which makes it easier to clean. The best grill I ever had. Excellent for apartments and small spaces. The Char-Griller Patio was the best Father's Day gift ever! I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in a fifth-floor apartment, and it's fantastic. It's compact and practical. And with the chimney starter, everything's sorted. I use it every week! The only thing is that the side shelf should fold down to take up less space. Wonderful!

PERFECT SIZE FOR GRILLING FOR A SINGLE OR COUPLE. Became a proud owner of my Patio Char-Griller from Amazon in September of this year and have had numerous cook outs using this little pit. I have grilled St. Louis style ribs, and chicken quarters and thighs, Hamburgers & sausages on this little grill and have yet to be disappointed with the results. The price was right, and the quality is top notch! My wife bought this grill on clearance. It has turned into my go to grill for almost all of my grilling needs. Since then I've purchased an offset smoker, and it's performed to perfection everytime that I've put it to work. Now my Weber kettle is just taking up space!

My patio. I have had my Patio Pro for approximately 10 years it has served my wife well. We cook our steaks and small things when direct heat is fine. The thing Char Griller is great for replacement parts if you need any. We also have Barrel Pro with a offset smoker box for indirect cooking and smoking. You can not beat Char Griller for customer service and quality of their products.

The BEST grill for small get-togethers. I bought this when they first came out. I liked it so much that when parts started wearing out, I n stead of replacing it, I found replacements parts!

Small grill that's built to last. I just wanted a small grill to maybe make a burger and some corn on the cob. This is a simple thing that does everything that I needed. It's held up well over the years and when the time finally came when I needed to replace the grates or the ash pan I could get those from the Char-Griller website instead of buying a whole new grill.

I've had Char Griller grills for years. I've had CharGriller grills for years. I've had my current gtill for 6 years. I got this model because I live in a small apartment and I don't have to cook for the family much anymore. It's just the right size for burgers, pork steaks, chicken parts,and bratwurst. It has been a faithful performer whenever I get the chance to grill meat. We'll be grilling this weekend, weather permitting. Grill on!

Just what the doctor ordered. Upgraded my setup from a kettle grill and am super happy. We have a small lanai and this moves easily in and out for cooking. Side drawer makes loading and cleaning super easy. Added a thermometer gave to the lid for better temp control. Man does this unit cook food well. Really happy with the unit and would buy again!

This little grill holds heat quite well and has enough grill space for a medium to small family. I live the solid cast iron grills! I’ve grilled five large steaks with a couple of sausage links and a couple of ears of corn at the same time. The vents allow for excellent heat control. Also, since the ash pan can be pulled out, you can add in more wood or charcoal while one is grilling, which is quite cool.

Great grill. I bought this grill for my small patio area, and it is small but perfect for 2-3 people. The cast-iron grates are easy to clean, it's very easy to use and well worth the money. The quality compared to something similarly priced is Unmatched.

Excellent except for cheap charcoal fire grate! Excellent little charcoal grill with great cast iron cooking grates and a very cheap fire grate which will wear out very quickly. Replacement grates are expensive, so I'm exploring using expanded sheet metal instead for price and durability. Tip: Run cast iron grates through your ovens self cleaning cycle and they come out like new.

Fantastic charcoal grill. Had this in my apartment and space was limited. This thing is pretty heavy duty, great control of temperature, and surprisingly lots of cooking space since it has a square cook surface. Easy to clean with the removable drawer.

Who should buy this grill? Hint: the answer is in the name. If you're here, you're probably looking for a high quality, simple, small charcoal grill. At least, that's what I was looking for, and I purchased this one without doing a ton of research. I've since used it a bunch. I love it and can enthusiastically recommend it, but there are a lot of good grills out there. Is this one the right one for you? The obvious alternatives are a Weber 22" kettle, and a larger CharGriller like the Outlaw. My advice is simple: get one of those if you can afford the space and the (slightly) higher price. The Outlaw's adjustable grates and temperature gauge are probably, by themselves, worth the price difference, and having the option to add a side fire box is really nice. If you don't have the space or the money, then this grill will serve you very well. The quality is high (for the price--this isn't a top of the line Traeger, people), and the design is thoughtful (I particularly like the charcoal drawer, and the position of the vents). The grill's name is appropriate: for petite patios, it's a particularly potent option.

I would buy this again. Received in great condition. Easy to assemble. Just do not tighten legs until finished. Cooked ten burgers and they came out great.

The PERFECT Grill! My husband and I have had a Char-Griller patio pro grill for years. After extensive use, we just purchased a brand new one and this company rocks...they have the same quality and durability as the one we purchased years ago...fantastic. We use the grill all the time and it is literally perfect for two people, also for four people. I have sent this grill to family members as a gift too, also perfect!

Second purchase of this model grill. It is a great patio grill, just big enough but not too big, performance is excellent. I have installed a dial indicating thermometer in the lid, which is the only modification that I felt necessary. It is a great grill and at this price point it is outstanding. As note, this is my second grill of this model, first one is still in service after 7 years but the ash drawer slide guides are slowly tiring out due to corrosion, I also added a dial thermometer to this one when it was new.

Should have bought the wrangler grille. Ok here goes this is my 3rd chargriller grille being made of cast iron unless you maintain it it will rust. Taking out your burnt charcoal is a must or you will greatly reduce the life of your grille . So after getting it and doing the assembly I noticed that it is a bit wobbly I have tightened it till it won't tighten any more and it's still a bit wobbly nothing dangerous but not like my previous 2 chargillers. If I had found the Wrangler Pro I would have purchased that grille , I like the chimney and I know after using my patio pro that the front shelf is definitely needed if it's the only table you have close is absolutely necessary. Overall I would give it a 4 of 5 I think I would have given the wrangler pro a better rating . Understand this is still a very competent grille just missing the chimney and front shelf .

Amazing small grill. This grill has turned to be an amazing bbq, i have used a couple of times cooking some new york steaks, poultry, ribs and sausages. Irs very easy to light up and the cooking surface is pretty good for cooking to 2-6 people. Only downside is the underneath as cabinet which doesnt look well made and all the dripping fat goes to the bottom and starts to drip on the side of the bbq. Im hoping the redesign ash cabinet solved this issue, so i will be updating it when i receive it

Just bought this and set it up. I will follow up, if I am allowed, with the results of my first grill. The plan is to do a lime encrusted pork loin (Alton Brown), and veggies.

Good little grille. Takes time to put together. Do not tighten down the bolts on legs til you have firebox install. They tell you that in instructions. Love the ash pan and grate. Hope it holds up. Dont firget to season the cast iron grates and keep them lubed with vegetable oil before and after cooking. I Bought the cover as well. Con. Wheels are lacking and clumsy. Overall a good nicely priced grilled.

Nice grill but I have some issues. So because all the pieces are stored inside the grill something misaligned the ledge that the cast iron sits on so now one of them moves because it's uneven. Then when I opened the lid all the way it pressed in the little rest piece and dented that part so now it doesn't close all the way. Haven't even used it yet.

Great little grill. I have had this grill for about two years now and it is a great grill for a family of four. It is easy to use and keep clean. While it does a great job grilling steaks, burgers, etc., I have also used it for smoking ribs and they came out great.

I would "might" by this product again if it dies. First time owner of a cast iron barrel grill. I was disappointed that I had to season the grill for 4 hours before I used it. Not including the time it took me to put it together I just wanted to put it together and start grilling. Directions should have been clearer on which way the items faces concerning the legs. Some parts didn't screw in all the way. Once I put it together and seasoned it I'm ok with it. That was too much work just to grill. Otherwise, I'm happy with it.

Well built, awesome little grill. I purchased this grill for my daughter's birthday party. I got the charcoal going just right and was able to dish out 10 burgers, 12 sausages, and 10 hot dogs. It maintained great heat for hours. The cleanup was simple with the removable ash catcher. Best $80 I've spent in a while! I know it will last for years but looking forward to purchasing a larger char-griller for larger events.

Excellent investment. I use this grill at least 2 times a week for my wife and I. Burgers, hotdogs, sausages, jalapeño poppers, and even did a 13 lb brisket on it. I was able to serve up 12 fairly large burgers all at once while hosting a small party. Clean up is easy using the tool provided to remove the grill grates and the ash pan pulls all the way out. It fits really easily in the bed of my truck with the tonneau cover down for a weekend trip to the lake. I would recommend this grill to anyone getting into charcoal grilling or anyone looking for a quick and easy grill to feed a small family. Excellent purchase.

Nice little grill. Great little grill. My only con is grease leakage. I put the grill in garage after I'm done with it. The grill does leak days after. Looking at other reviews I bought some Lava Lock 650 to spread around the 4 bolts on inside of barrel and purchased 2 small drip pans that attach to the cross members on both sides underneath barrel. Now it doesn't bother me anymore.

Just right for me. I just downsized from a larger charcoal grill to this smaller one and am so glad that I did! This one works so much better and I love the cast iron grates. My grill was assembled when I purchased it and missing the utensils hooks so I added that. I get a great sear on vegetables and meat with this grill. It seems to cook hotter than my larger grill so the pork chops were a bit overdone but it was my first time using the grill. I chalk it up as a learning experience. Now I just need to get some marshmallows to toast over the grill to make s'mores...

This is my 3rd Patio Pro Grill!! I just love this little charcoal grill. As I indicated, this is my third purchase of the same grill over the years. I thought I would get one more year out of my second one, but I realized the bottom was not in good shape, and I have to cook on a wooden deck patio. I had to hire an assembly company to come put my patio grill together this time, but I have done the assembly myself in the past, but I was just not up to it this time. It was assembled on Saturday and I cannot wait to use it! I also just bought a small Weber gas grill for after work quick grilling, but I recommend the Char Griller patio grill to everyone who loves a charcoal grill!

Goldilocks Grill, "Not too big, not too little, just right ". The Patio Pro is the perfect size for anyone like me who typically cooks for 2 or less people. It takes up less space than a bigger grill and does a great job too. I can usually get 2 full slabs of ribs on it and it works fine. I'm on my second Patio Pro. I left my previous one outside without a cover and the ash tray drawer rusted out after 3-4 years. This time I have the official Char Griller cover on it and I am going to be sure to dump the ashes when they cool.

Great little grill. Bought it cheap on clearance and it's been the best grill I've ever owned. Gotta keep the grates oiled so they don't rust but other than that it's very easy to own. My advice is to buy a chimney starter to make lighting the charcoal simple, and definitely get the cover for it to keep the rain off it. The one they sell for it fits like a glove. The combination of charcoal grilling plus the cast iron grates is fantastic. The food that comes off this thing is always top notch. This model is small, I can usually fit enough meat to feed me, the wife, and our young kids, but sometimes it gets crowded so if you have a big group or a large family you will want a larger model.
