What a MACHINE! Can you ask for a better package than than the Classic 2? Metal shelves, ligt assist hinge, latching lid, Kontrol tower. What a value. Not to mention a HUGE value just going with the Kamado Joe over the competition. It comes with everhthing you need from the start. No buying extras unless you want to. I love my Joe. I have been a satisfied warranty customer as well. I will never shy away from the smoker. For the last 8 years it hasnt let me down once.

Awesome smoker! I received my Big Joe as a surprise birthday gift from my significant other after I mentioned how good the brisket and turkey tasted from a good friends Big Joe. I love the sustained heat smoking controls for long cooks and ample surface area for large quantities of meat/vegetables. It pairs very well with my Joe Jr.

Love this grill. We bought this grill about a month ago. We are so glad we did. We love to cook on it. It’s much easier than using our pit boss.

Best gril I've ever had. Honestly the best grill I've had because it is not gas and lets me control the temp easily with heat shields and grate height. I installed it with a Ash and Amber teak table, which needed a little modification, but looks great now!

Frustrating Customer Experience. We ordered the Kamado Joe II directly from the company’s website in June. When It arrived three weeks later, we discovered the wire mesh gasket was completely damaged, rendering the grill unusable. The damage was so obvious that it could not possibly have been missed had it underwent any quality control inspection before being shipped. After submitting a warranty claim, a replacement mesh gasket arrived a couple of weeks later, allowing us to assemble the grill. At that point we discovered the side shelves were missing entirely, requiring a second warranty claim for a brand-new product. We have also been informed that the replacement side shelves are now on back order and will not be shipped until November. As a result, our order will not be complete until approximately five months after purchase - and just in time for winter! Grill itself is great, but the lack of quality control and the resulting delays have been extremely disappointing. These are not the kind of issues customers should encounter when purchasing a premium, high-end product.

This one goes to 11! After years of outdoor cooking and tons of research, I finally made the investment in a KJ2 classic. So far I'm very impressed. Build quality is fantastic. I put it through its paces last week with a slow and low smoked plate ribs, smoked almonds, reverse seared tritip and corn on the cob- with temps ranging from 225 to 550 - all in one session! My visiting buddies were impressed. I was asked why I chose Joe over competitors. I pointed to the top dial and explained "This one goes to 11."

10/10 recommend. I’ve had my Kamado Joe for a few months now, and it’s easily been one of my favorite purchases of all time. The temperature control is incredibly precise once you learn your vent settings, making everything from low-and-slow briskets to high-heat searing steaks come out consistently great. The build quality is excellent. It feels like a product that’s meant to last for years, and features like the racks cooking system and the air-lift hinge make it much more versatile and enjoyable to use than I expected. One thing that really surprised me is how efficient it is with charcoal. A little fuel goes a long way, and it’s easy to shut it down and save what’s left for the next cook. Cooking on it has become a genuinely fun hobby, almost to a fault!! If you’re on the fence, I’d absolutely recommend it.

Great Grill Once You Learn How to Use It. I’ve owned my Kamado Joe Classic II grill for over 5 years and it took some time to learn to cook on this equipment, but once I did it’s been very versatile for smoking, grilling, rotisserie and even pizza making! I have had to replace the seals after about 3 years and the deflector plates after about 2 years, but overall this has been a good performing grill and has sidelined my gas grill.

The best grill that produces amazing food. I bought this grill after my 3rd Traeger failed me. My neighbor a few years back had the Big Green Egg and his food was amazing. I started cooking on the Kamado Classic Joe II just a week ago and seared 2 swordfish steaks and roasted fresh carrots and beets. I was in food heaven. The swordfish was so delicious along with the carrots and beets. I really enjoy the entire experience of lighting the grill and grilling. What an amazing grill.

Classic Joe II is perfection. Purchased a couple months ago and couldn’t be happier. Versatile and a lot of fun to use. Easy enough to get great results and amazing food.

Awesome Grill Big JOE II. This is my 2nd Kamado Joe. We loved our Classic II 18" that it was a must have to upgrade to the Big Joe II 24" These grills are amazing to cook on and worth the money. Also, when we got the grill, we had a couple of firebox pieces that were broke. Contacted Customer support and Sabrina had replacements on the way immediately. Amazing customer service.

Grilled for the first time on my new Kamado Big. Everything cooked very well and the flavor was outstanding!

Recently Got one. I recently purchased one of these grills ans I absolutely love it. It retains heat well and it's easy to clean up.

Superb Grill. After having the Big Joe 3, Classic and Joe Jr for almost 4 years, I gave away the Classic and purchased the Classic 2. My Classic was my workhorse, followed by the Big Joe then the Joe Jr. Now with the Classic 2 filling in for the Classic with its additional features, I’m back in action. Grilled 3 baby backs its first cook and they were delicious.

So fun to cook on. This took a few weeks for it to be delivered, but it was well worth the wait. I don't have a ton of experience in grilling, so this was a bit of a leap of faith. But I made the best potatoes of my life on this thing. And it was so fun to cook over an open flame. The setup can be a little daunting, so I'd recommend watching a YouTube video. But overall, I'm so happy I bought this. I can't wait to try out additional recipes in the future.

My favorite way to cook. I have it all. Smoker, grill, Griddle, and my Classic II is my favorite way to cook. Accessories are great and the grill is very versatile, although I will admit I have not used it as a classic smoker yet.

Best Smoker I Have Ever Owned. The Kamado Joe has elevated my smoking experience. Briskets come out tender and juicy, with just the right amount of smoke. Ribs do NOT burn and turkey on Thanksgiving has never been better. I even do Pizzas for the gang as an appetizer and all love it. Best grill ever.

Super versatile and easy to use. I have had the Classic Joe for 3 years and has been my primary cooking grill during that time, taking the place of my propane BBQ and Trager pellet grill. Once the temp is set you can walk away, knowing that everything is going to be alright.

8 years and going strong!! I purchased my KJ Classic Joe II in 2018 and I have ran way over 1,000 cooks on it. From quick cooks to low and slow cooks, this KJ II has been on point each time. Proper maintenance has kept my KJ in tip top form.

Best investment for my backyard! I’ve had my Classic Joe Series II for a few years now, and it has completely changed how I cook outdoors. The air lift hinge is a total game-changer—I can lift the lid with a single finger. It holds temperatures incredibly well, whether I'm doing a low-and-slow brisket or searing steaks at high heat. The Kontrol Tower top vent is also great for keeping settings consistent even if it’s raining. If you’re on the fence, just get it. The build quality is top-notch and the food tastes significantly better than a standard gas or charcoal grill.

Simply Incredible. Fantastic looking, incredibly efficient and creates some of the best food we've ever eaten. Great for smoking, cooking and warming food. Absolutely stunning piece of kit.

Very versatile, but with a couple quirks. Works great at from low to high temps (250 F to 800+ F). The two tier cooking is nice and use of the deflector plates offers a lot of versatility for direct and indirect smoking to high temp grilling. Very solid and when adjusted properly, it will be airtight when finished cooking to save charcoal. The quirks are having the side tables made of plastic, rather than heat proof metal, and especially having all four wheels able to spin making it sometimes squirrels to maneuver, especially into a smaller BBQ shed. Also, the rubber wheels fell apart after several years. Replaced them with 4" (from the original 3") making it somewhat easier to maneuver.

Best Grill/Smoker/Oven Ever. I got my Kamado Joe right before COVID started from Costco. It was the first piece to the beginning of my outdoor kitchen build. It is so versatile! I have smoked, grilled, seared, rotisserie, made excellent pizza, and even made a pound cake. It is perfect for smores with the kiddos when you don't have the ability to have a camp fire. It is like a safe campfire in a bowl! It is the most efficient at holding the heat no matter if it is 100 or -5 degrees outside. It also has any accessory that you could possibly want for any food you would like to cook. I have owned a lot of grills and smoker. every from gas, to charcoal to dual fuel. Kamadoe Joe has been far superior to anything I have ever owned. It's efficient, low maintenance, easy to use and nice to look at.

Easy to use! So glad I finally bought one! By far the easiest grill I’ve owned to maintain a temperature over a long period of time. Wether cooking burgers or ribs they come out perfect every time. I use it all year round. In summer and in the snow of winter! Works great all the time!

Best Ceramic grill on the market! I have had my Kamodo Joe classic for about 9 years now.I bbq a lot at least once and sometimes more during my week. Even in the winter time. Kamodo Joe charcoal gives great flavor and heat to your grill. I have all the accessories too and they are fabulous! I use my dojo a lot for pizza and it comes out amazing. The rotisserie is my favorite accessory and I use it a lot too.i recommend Kamodo Joe grills and accessories very high quality products.

I love it! I have had this grill for a little over a year. It took me a couple of cooks to get the hang of it, but I absolutely love it now. I love it so much that I got rid of my gas grill. I use this all the time. I didn't realize how easily the temperature could be controlled.

SERIES II BIG JOE FIRST 3 MONTHS. The Big Joe Series II is a cooking machine!! My cooks have ranged from burgers, hotdogs, short cooks and long cooks. Once the Big Joe is dialed in for desired temp even when it's cold, raining or snowing it just runs and runs!! To be very honest the only negative is the paint on the Kontrol Tower will start flaking off after a few cooks. I sent email to customer service and replacement Kontrol Tower was delivered in a couple of days.

Low & slow or hot & fast. The do all grill with great smoke flavor. No tending a fire all night - just dial it in and let it ride. There is no other grill that can do it all. I can do all my Texas BBQ on this thing.

Best all around grill. I bought this 6yrs ago, after using a lot of research. I also own a Large BGE and the Kamodo Joe is definitely my grill of choice. It is better for grilling and is far more flexible than the BGE

Always makes great tasting food. I bought my Classic Joe in 2010. We liked to grill and I wanted better taste than what the gas grill provided. We get tenderloin steaks that are about 2 1/2 inches thick at the store. I learned I could get the grill as hot as 700 degrees and cook the steaks 3 minutes on each side then close it down and leave them in for 3 more minutes and they would come out perfectly seared outside and medium rare inside. I’ve had many compliments on them. My sons wanted them for their birthday every year so I bought them each a Classic Joe for Christmas 6 years ago. I’ve done pretty well with ribs and butts as well. We love our Kamado Joe and the flavor we get!

Amazing. I went from a gas grill to a pellet grill, to my Kamado Joe Classic II. This grill is AMAZING. The food tastes so much better. The steaks and burgers are juicy and the sear amazing. I’ve made a pizza and have done a 12 hr smoke. It does take a little bit of practice to get the temps right, but once you do it is easy. I have a grill for life.

The best smoker ever! I’ve had this Kamado for 4 years and have cooked everything on it from pizza to brisket to pulled pork. This smoker has been used from pizza oven to grill to smoker. I always wanted a Kamado Joe and when I finally bought man it changed all of my food. Whichever Joe you have from classic 1 to a big Joe there’s no way you could be disappointed.

Nothing But The BEST. I have owned multiple smokers and nothing compares to my big Joe series 2. I personally enjoy the steps of firing this up with lump charcoal, and the amazing smells and taste of the meat that I smoke almost weekly. My neighbor and I had a cook-off one weekend as he owns a pellet smoker and after our taste testing, he sold it and bought his own big Joe as he said, it just didn’t compare to his. Year Round Perfect Grilling/ Smoking. I originally purchased the KJ Classic 2 with hope of being able to continue grilling during our Chicagoland winters… it has since relegated my gas grill to vegetables and hotdogs for the youngsters of the extended family. By far the best, most used product (2-4 times per week) I have ever purchased! Not only would I recommend a Kamado Joe, i sold one at my local store ( I was simply grabbing some more Big Block charcoal) due to my enthusiasm while talking with another customer who was interested, but unsure.

This grill does it ALL ! I owned a Webber Summit S-670 for close to 10 years a grilled several days weekly all year around. Once I purchased the Kamado Joe Big Joe , I did not want to use the Summit grill. After 11 months I gave my Webber Summit to my son. I smoke all kinds of foods , reverse sear steaks cook burgers etc. This Kamado style grill is the best I have seen in my life. I just retired after 31 years in the food service industry so I know food and cooking methods. Don't let life slip by without trying Kamado Joe !

Stepped up our family grill game. Best purchase, even 3 years later. We got it to enhance some family favorites and get us outside more, but what we weren’t ready for is how this has challenged us all to learn and practice things outside our comfort zone. Whole chickens, ribs, even did a pizza night the kids. We love going outside 10x more and having so much fun. The way it holds its heat, maintains quality, and becomes a talking point at parties is just icing on the cake. More than a grill. 5 stars

First Smoker. This was a great purchase! After talking with the ACE Hardware gentlemen I went with this over the BG Egg because this is so much more for the price! Assembly is not terrible but do be careful! Temp control is very easy and ribs came out great!

Love my KJ. Love cooking on my KJ. It’s very versatile. Also I had to make a warranty claim and KJ was quick to respond and correct my issue. That means a lot and I’ll be a KJ fan for life.

Best overall smoker grill on the market. I've owned offset smokers, pellet grills, gas grills, charcoal grills, and cheaper kamados, but the Classic II is the best do-it-all smoker/grill I've owned. The charcoal efficiency, fire management, and temperature control are amazing. I spend as little time managing the cook as I did on my pellet grill with much better smoke flavor. The Classic II does a great job from burgers and steaks to low and slow briskets. I regret spending money on inferior products before buying the Kamado Joe.

Does Everything! I’ve wanted a Kamado Joe for a long time and I finally got one! I love it. It does everything and it’s fun to cook on. I’ve had it for just a few weeks now. I’ve made a standing rib roast, using the reverse sear method, a rotisserie chicken, pizzas on 2 different nights, and I slow cooked some country style ribs yesterday. I’m enjoying finding new things to cook on it. My wife loves everything that comes off it. My kettle grill, pellet grill, and outdoor pizza oven are starting to collect dust. I’ll keep them but I don’t think they’ll get much use.

Great smoker with consistent temps. I’ve had this grill for almost 5 years and it has worked incredibly well over the years. Just clean it once in a while and it maintains temperatures like no other grill. Incredibly efficient and maintains temps extremely well. Well worth the money. Quality is great. Temp Control Is Awesome! I continue to be amazed by the way this grill holds it temp. I love to do pork shoulders, and my Kamado Joe makes it so easy to cook for hours at the consistent proper temperature. I also cook a fair amount of ribs and steaks, and my Kamado excels there too. Kamado Joe Classic makes food taste delicious! My grill is now four years old. It still works like new. I have a big order of meat coming from Riverbend. I can't wait to cook those steaks on my Joe.
