Great switch. Expect a learning curve. I really like the cooktop and since I am using it on instead of installing it in the countertop, I love having the extra prep space when I am not using it. The bridge function worked great for one of my bigger pans. I am still learning the correct setting and how to preheat the pan so both the sides and bottom warm up. The cord location is a little strange on the side instead of the back. I would rate it a 4.5 if that was possible.

Very impressed! I bought this induction stove for an eventual camper van build. However I was excited to try it out first. It has a power cord already installed and it can be used as a stand alone unit or integrated into the counter top. I have only used it as a stand alone unit so far and have been very impressed. It brought a pot of water to boil much quicker than my gas range and in the same amount of time as my friends 5 figure high end induction range. I've taken it camping once in an area that had a fire ban and was able to use it connected to my jackery battery. Overall I am very impressed with this unit and will continue to take it camping until I can install it in my camper van.

It has a sleek appearance and upon using this for the first time, I was really impressed by how quickly the element heats up. It has multiple heating options and can also be used as a warming center. I have gotten more use out of this than my actual stove and it has really come in handy. I will mention that the finish shows a lot of fingerprints but they wipe off easily once the element is cooled down. My child who is going to college this year has requested one for his dorm because he enjoys using this so much and it simplifies the cooking process.

Poor documented minimum pot size. This is actually a good product with a minor flaw. It won't work with pots smaller than 4.8”. Trying to use a small pot gives a cryptic error (no pot found), and shuts off the unit. You need to read the whole manual including the fine print to find the single sentence about minimum pot size!

This is a awesome portable burner system for our custom RV. This is an awesome product! It's large enough to do our cooking but not too large to get in the way. It's loaded with lots of great features. Plans are to use it in our hand built Sprinter RV and it will fit in with our fully custom interior setup so well! This unit will look great and be a joy to use while camping. We have a heavy duty battery/solar power system it will run on or we can plug into supplied power when available. Can't wait to gone on an adventure now. I purchase would again and I will recommend it to all my friends and family.

A very attractive, highly functional cooking appliance sure to please. My time as Boy Scout was abbreviated, but one thing I took to heart was its motto, Be Prepared. Toward that end, I recently acquired this Empava 12 in. Portable 2 Burner Induction Cooktop/Countertop Stove. Several use scenarios immediately come to mind: 1. Needing to cook, and having basic electricity, but no access to propane or natural gas; 2. Being in a RV campground with electricity and wanting to conserve my propane supply; or 3. A power failure at home and only having a small generator insufficient to power our 220 v. range. I'm sure you can think of additional situations, too. This reasonably priced unit is attractive and very portable, measuring 20-1/2" wide by 13-1/2" deep by 3" high and weighs less than twelve pounds, perfect for a dorm or tiny house. An induction cooktop is said to be energy efficient, heats and cools quickly, offers a wide range of temperature settings and is ideal for delicate cooking tasks. It does, however, require magnetic cookware, such as cast iron and some stainless steel. I tested it moments ago by putting 3/4" of water in a large stainless pan, turned it to max heat setting of 18 and ... it came to a boil in ONE MINUTE! Wow. I'm impressed. That's faster than a microwave. The only (and it's truly insignificant) downside is that the shiny black top really shows fingerprints. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this cooktop. You will be amazed.

Awesome and Versatile Appliance! I was so excited to try this induction countertop appliance and it is definitely a keeper! First of all, the instructions are great. Second, it is very simple to use. Third, it works like a charm, without burning nasty chemicals that we are all being warned about these days. I read the instructions carefully, removing the stickers as instructed (one of the stickers came off cleanly, the other left a sticky residue which I was able to remove with a bit of nail polish remover – no danger since the top surface is glass). Because I have had my cookware for a long time, I did the magnet test to see if it was a type of material “allowed.” As a test, I heated 4 cups of water with 1 cup of sugar (hummingbird food!) in a pan over a single burner and it was QUICK, way quicker than doing it on my cooktop. That's a winner in my book! Once you've used the appliance, there is a red “H” to indicate that the surface is hot, which is a safety feature I like. Another safety feature is the ability to lock the unit, which would be great in a household with small children, for example. I absolutely LOVE the fact that this marvelous appliance comes with a “link” feature which allows you to use a larger pan over the 2 burners – really smart! Lastly, there is a "keep warm" feature which I know I will use for years to come at Thanksgiving and Christmas when we have buffet-style foods laid out on the counter. Cooktop works great. This cooktop is awesome! We got this to use outside under our “grill shack” for heating or cooking things to go along with our actual grill. It heats up super fast with awesome safety features of lights indicating when it's still hot. Easy to read touch buttons to start or turn off or set temperature. Very simple and easy to use. It comes with detailed instructions but honestly it's easy to figure out. Highly recommended!

Rating provided by a verified purchaser. This looks and feels like a very high quality, named brand, induction burner. I really like the touch control buttons embedded in the glass instead of the plastic covered physical buttons that other units use. My main disappointment with this unit is the size of the induction coils... which conveniently, is not stated in the specs. I did not open the unit to look inside, but from observing where the water starts boiling in the middle of a large frying pan, I would say the coils are each 6" or smaller in diameter. I was hoping for a little larger since there are other units at this price point touting 8" or even 9" coils. I suppose since this unit has two burners instead of just one, I should not have expected too much. The "sync" feature where you can combine both burners to heat up one large round pot is mostly a gimmick. First, the only way to do this is to split the 1800 max wattage into half for each coil(900w each). Then it would only be efficient to center the pot between the two coils if he pot could reached an inch past the mid point of each coil... which means the pot would have to be right near the units maximum pot size limit of 10.8". Any round pot with a base smaller than 10" would benefit more from just being centered on a single burner set to high(1800W). It would make sense though to use the sync feature for a long, rectangle grilling pan, especially if you used it to cook two large burger patties, one centered over e

Terrific replacement for our propane cooktop. I installed this induction cooktop in our motor home to replace the propane cooktop that was originally installed. The installation was simple. The performance of the cooktop is amazing. Even thought this is only a 120 volt cooktop, it heats very quickly and is very easy to control. We are thoroughly pleased with this product and highly recommend it.

Works Great, Good Value. Works very well. Some reviewers have an issue with the 1800 watt limitation, they don't understand that's pretty much the limit for a standard electrical circuit. Higher power, such as for a kitchen range, typically requires specific wiring. A few others complained about the need for the correct types of pots -- just take a magnet and see if it sticks well to the bottom of the pot. Anyway, this unit works very well for me so far. No complaints.

Burners are... I really love this concept for cooking. Now living in a smaller home in Hawaii this was perfect. Great price to have something that takes little energy, and cook food on. Love the option to put on counter or putting it in the counter. BUT.... UNFORTUNATELY 2 regular pans do not fit on it. To be honest this is a little smaller pans. I did not have the space ready to set up and learn. And now I pulled it out to male spaghetti for the first time and to late to return.

Excellent inductive cooktop! The cooktop is very good sixed. you can use 1 or 2 small pans and the surfaces are close enough to use a larger pan or griddle on both. My pan heated up to cook temp in a minute! I cooked eggs and sausage on one side and the other was cool to the touch. Its portable but also can be mounted in thew appropriate cooktop setting. We will take this camping in the RV so we can cook and keep the RV cooler as there is no wasted heat from gas cooking.
