Impressive Vent Hood.. I did quite a bit of research picking the one that suited my kitchen and purposes. Used both human (daughter) and AI assistants to make my selection. The Empava made all the lists. This fit my space well. Installation was straightforward. Operation is simple enough, more modern that my old knobs from 1970

This thing has 2 motors - it's very powerful. Reasonably quiet for the price range. And we love the high quality stainless steel baffles vs. the cheapo looking aluminum fishnet looking filters. We're very happy with this product once again

I bought two under counter range hoods, one for my kitchen EMPV-30RH13 and one for my basement apartment kitchen EMPV-36RH14. I needed 500 CFM and low height to fit under low ceiling. Good features and price. It removes cooking smells well and is fairly quiet on low speed but the baffles do rattle a little. Instructions could be a little clearer with explanations and include an exploded parts diagram. I am happy with this product and recommend it to others after 6 weeks of regular use!

Great good! Super powerful, couple flaws. I installed this hood and added venting to the roof. Everything went smooth, used 3 1/4in x 10in ducting to attic and then transitioned to 6in round to the roof gooseneck. This thing definitely moves some air and looks good doing it. Couple things that I found, the draft damper that comes with the hood is trash and rattles like crazy. I removed it because my roof vent has a damper. Also the fans are placed to the very back of the hood so it struggles to extract smoke when using the front burners on the stove. Other than that I think this hood is great

Great fan in special order size. Tried to purchase at local big box household store - 36 is special order size. Delivered in 3 days from Empava for same price! Unfortunately had to return first one as box came open due to carrier handling and the hood dad a huge dent in it. Empava replaced in 3 days with a perfect hood

Empava 36RH14 36 In. 500 CFM. This unit has a nice look to it: Stainless Steel, well rounded corners, sloped front; no knobs sticking out(easier to clean). The entire bottom is covered with slatted vents to catch the grease and moisture and with the dual fans and the generous air flow (500 CFM) through them, I feel like I might have to hold onto my wife while she is cooking, so she doesn't "lift off". On the negative side, I don't like that the clock button goes straight to time setting mode, instead of just off/on, or press and hold to enter setting mode. It was a couple weeks before I got around to installing the unit, and, although the shipping box had shown no signs of a rough ride, I found rivet pieces inside the box. I had taken the unit out of the box the day it arrived, but didn't notice then the damage that had occurred. It was when I went to install the unit that I saw where a total of 5 rivets that connected the top panel to the front panel had broken. I installed new rivets. It goes well with the other appliances, though, so overall, I think it is a good deal

wanted a bit powerful hood, and this is the one…. wanted a bit powerful hood, and this is the one with high power. bit noisy because of that too. we run on low speed so noise level stays at comfort. runs great. if use on speed 4, truly no smell in kitchen. assembling and installation was easy. leaves little gap on sides about 0.5 in combined. hoped it would be perfect fit. not picky about it but thought to mention. Unit is 0.5inch smaller than 36" width

My damper is rectangular and it might be more to do with how my ducting is seated. Working on seating it and adding some foil tape the the damper blade to damper the sound. I've read one person took out the damped blade. It's good to have a damper

Range Hood Review. I ordered this range hood, first for its dimensions as it would fit my current space without changing any of the tile backsplash, and secondly for the CFM. I am very pleased with my order. It arrived quickly. I hired someone to install it so I cannot review the difficulty of install but I have been very pleased with the working product. It significantly cuts down on the steam and cooking smells when I cook. The light is nice and bright. And the best feature is the timed fan turn off - I will set it to continue for 10-15 minutes after I finish cooking and it turns off on its own - I don't have to come back and turn it off later. I would definitely recommend!
