Very Stylish, Strong Performance. We chose the Empava EMPV-30RH13 Range hood primarily for its styling. We really like the curved corners and that the entire outer housing is fully welded into a seamless body. It looks great in our kitchen. We found the supplied LED bulbs to be too dim and have replaced them with brighter daylight units. Operation is very straight forward. We typically run the unit at F1 which is sufficient as F4 is fairly loud. Cleaning is very easy and the filters are easily removed for washing in the dishwasher. Installation was straight forward as we have an in-wall vertical duct that lined up perfectly with the top outlet. The only problem I encountered was attaching the outlet collar to the body. The holes in the outer housing stainless did not align well with the motor housing holes and I could not get the screws to engage. I overcame this by enlarging the holes in the outer housing

Love it. We just finally placed it up in our newly refurbished kitchen. The only drawback is it makes loud sounds upon you using the remote or manually turning it on. Which you had a mute button so touching it won't make so much noise. :(

Empava hood fan. We live in Florida in a small mobile home. We chose this hood fan because it matches our stove and we wanted to have a strong fan to suck out the heat and steam from the stove so our house stayed cool. Directions are vague but included template is good. The trim piece slides in the rear against the back wall. I would agree with others in saying the led lights could be brighter. We love this fan as it matches our new stove

Great powerful Range Hood at a great deal.. Loving the range hood. I had it for more than 2 months now and it work great. The suction are powerful and the noise from the fan is more quieter than other range hood I've own in the past. What make this a 5 star is the competitive pricing. The led isn't that bad, but would love and appreciate a brighter led lights. Maybe that's something the manufacturer could consider for future improvement. For the installation, It's pretty much straight forward

Empava Undercabinet Range Hood EMPV-30RH13 was fitted nicely with our earlier built kitchen cabinets (see photo) and significantly improved our quality of life. Before we bought this hood the using of our gas range led to serious increase of the level of carbon dioxide in the air of the kitchen and in our condo as a whole and affect our health, inducing head pain. The height and depth of the Empava hood was optimal for proper work of the hood, without risk of hitting the head about the edges of the hood. The machine provides efficient ventilation, the noise is modest. Provided remote also increases convenience of the Empava hood. I believe that every kitchen with gas range should have the hood over the range and Empava Hood EMPV-30RH13 is very good choice.

Recently installed the #EMPV-30RH13 and it works great. Haven't needed to use the highest fan setting (4) yet because the 3rd setting works great at keeping the steam and smells out of the rest of the house. The lights are nice and bright. Would like some light in the back section also, but this is way better than what I had.

Looks great, works great. Immediately improved the look of our kitchen. It took 2 of us to install it. We had to convert our hardwire to plug in. Everything turned out great. Suction works great. LED lights are ample. The remote control was a nice touch.

A challenging install—but I love it!. This literally took us days to install. Directions were not really clear at all (the first hurdle was just figuring out what all the parts were for) and I'd have killed for an installation video. I had purposely purchased this one rather than a competitor's because it was supposedly easier to install, but this was just as difficult for the same reason—the holes for screws were in accessible with average hand tools, particularly while trying to hold a heavy unit in place. In the end, we ditched the screws provided in favor of a much more solid installation with bolts and nuts—and that was really difficult too, but the end result felt safer and more secure. So—we don't think this is really a DIY project, but better left to the professionals with a wider array of tools. This one was a real marriage-tester. Now that it's up though, I love it. It looks great, has greater CFM and is more effective than the old OTR microwave, and I can finally cook in my kitchen without setting off the fire alarm

The range hood is sturdy and well constructed. The dual fans move plenty of air even on low. A little loud, not bad. In my opinion it is one of the better looking residential hoods I've seen. You will need help installing it as it is pretty heavy.

Nice addition to my kitchen. Purchased during Black Friday 2024. It's a significant upgrade to the previous hood which was installed with the house 30+ yrs ago. Installed over the Xmas holidays, after having used it for about a month now there are a couple minor changes I would suggest. Light the front LED buttons at all times. I don't always turn on my overhead kitchen lights, which in low lighting scenarios makes it difficult to see the buttons. I keep the display always on, but having the buttons lit would improve their utility. It would also be helpful to have under hood LEDs toward the back of the hood as the existing lights don't provide a lot of light to the rear burners

Wish I had purchased it sooner!. I purchased this fan at Lowe's and had it shipped. It was easy to install and looks great. After a month of use and daily cooking I can say it is worth all 5 stars. The fan is pretty loud on the highest setting but it moves the air like a champ so you don't have to have it full blast for long. I only use the high setting when doing high heat searing on steaks or items post sous vide

Even better than I imagined it would be. So much more powerful than the old hood we had. And the smoke alarm doesn't go on anymore when I cook. Usually I only use it on level 1 or 2 because it is so powerful. On level four you need to open a window or door because this thing moves some significant volume of air. Installation was easy with help of some cabinet joists I bought. It also looks nice. The only negative might be that it is pretty loud, especially at higher levels.

Very nice unit. Had this installed today, and it is quite nice. Has 4 speed settings and other than the highest setting, it is reasonably quiet compared to my old one. The lights are bright and the system comes with a remote control. It was shipped to my home and the box was slightly crused on the top causing a small dent on the under side of the unit, but hardly noticeable. No problems with the working of the unit. Overall I'm pleased with this item having only had it installed one day

Was easy to install, we already had outside exhaust ductwork in from a previous fan. Wish the light had a low or night light setting. Great kitchen exhaust fan. Moves a lot of air. When you use setting 3 and 4 on the fan it's loud, I don't mind it though because I know it's taking the heat out of the kitchen. I also like that it's 22 inches deep meaning it works great for the front big burners. Sometimes others can be too short and you can get condensation in the front, but not this one

Empava Range Hood Sure Works For Us. I ordered this range hood despite my husband's misgivings about what we would end up with. He loves me just as much after it arrived as he did before I ordered it, maybe even a little more. I kept him from having to drive 60 miles to find a range hood for that price. We had looked online but the only range hoods they offered looked a whole lot cheaper. When the Empava 30" range hood with light arrived the package was in mint condition, it fit, our contractor installed it and I love it. This is a lot of hood for the money. It's better constructed than many I had looked at. I feel confident the controls will hold up better if used by children or grandchildren as may be the case with this range hood

Does what I need for now seems how I have only had for a short time. Gives light and helps get rid of some smoke if burn things and steam from boiling water. Installation was easy and fan works well with no more noise from a regular house fan.

A great range hood for the price. I wanted a…. A great range hood for the price. I wanted a slimline, with stainless steel baffles, and at least 400 CFM. At a great price. This fit the bill. Had to send the first one back as it was defective and one set of fan blades wouldn't turn. It was worth the wait, as it's a very nice vent. As others have said, the template doesn't match up, so you'll need to do your own measuring - I made my own template using white paper. Also, you'll need your own hardware. It's meant for under a cabinet and screws into the bottom of a cabinet (which is usually .5 inch thick or less). You can't use the 2” long screws they include. We actually got our own proper length bolts with wide metal AND rubber washers, and put the bolt in from the cabinet, down through the hood vent top holes. Plenty of room for the nut and end of bolt to reside in vent. Someone with small hands for threading the nut on is helpful. We're very happy with it

I do think the installation instructions need a review. Example: the supplied template's placement of mounting bolts was wildly incorrect (by inches). Also, I wish the whole category was required to publish decibel test results. Empava's folks were very professional

I am 50/50 on this product. The price was high and heavy. The good part is that they will call and text you non stop asking your opinion on the product. The little remote that comes with the product is cool to have but not necessary at all. The fan gets VERY loud since there are two heavy duty ones. If you don't mind the high noise, you should be fine.

Great addition to new kitchen. Look at a lot of different range hoods. I was impressed by the quality and performance of this hood. Looks greats and works even better. Would recommend it. The only flaw, if you want to call it that, is that it is slightly less than 30 inches wide. Less than an 1/8" gap on either side

After researching many brands and features, I decided on this model because it had high air flow (500 CFM) and was less expensive than others with this much air flow. Blower works well and is fairly quiet on low speed. Does a good job venting out cooking smells. The lights and touch buttons are great. Installation was straightforward, but the directions were very small and the diagrams weren't clear enough to show which screws go where. It comes with hardware and various shape vent adapters

Amazing -- drastically improved our kitchen. This range hood has made such an amazing difference in our kitchen we could not be happier. We had a very ineffective microwave with a vent built in, and we could see the steam and grease of everything we cooked blowing up in front of it and dissipate in the kitchen (and stick to the front of our microwave) instead of being sucked in. We got a counter microwave so that we could buy this under cabinet range hood and are so thrilled by the quality. Even on the lowest of four settings it pulls way better than our previous. Before when we would make soup we found condensation in the Tupperware in the cabinet next to our stove and the cardboard boxes in the cabinet above the stove were damp. This has done such an amazing job of pulling all that steam that we no longer have these problems. Frying or using a grill pan was also a huge issue for us as our entire kitchen would fill with smoke, enough that it would move down the hall and set off 3 of our smoke detectors. Now with this range on setting 3 of 4 our kitchen remains perfectly smokeless. We haven't had to use the highest setting as it has been so powerful and effective. We truly LOVE IT

Well made but too heavy. This seems well made but it is heavy. I didn't line up with the holes to my old one so I would have taken about 3 people to install. The width was also longer that I thought so I took it back and bought a cheaper and lighter one

The installation documentation is sketchy. We made a template to align the hanging screws, then put the screws into the overhead cabinet and with difficulty managed to hang/ slot the fan onto the screws and hook up the vent. Definitely needed 2 people. Its powerful and good looking
