Size of heating elements are different. The product itself is great, love the look and cooking. The issue was we bought the exact make/model/size just a few years newer but the heating element is larger. Therefore we had to have the stone cut, which delayed everything another week

The induction cooktop cooks great. It heats quickly and cooks very even. It does require induction cookware so we had to a buy wvw cooker

Awesome cook top. Fast at cooking and heating up whatever you put on top of the induction burner. Easy to install even for a novist. No bulging nobs, just touch and go. Plus you can use a cook top cover to prevent spills making cleanup so much easier. Very reasonably priced for an amazing and modern product.

Stove top. This is a great product and the stove has a lot of pan space you won't believe how fast everything cooks I liked it so much I bought another one for downstairs

I've had it over a year.. It takes a little getting used to. biggest drawback cuz you can't use your aluminum pots and pans It's kind of hard to find ones that work that aren't just stainless steel where everything sticks. but after a year it's scratchless and clean. We cook a lot we stay at home a lot covid and all. It is held up well. when things over boil they don't go down and burn you can put your finger right next to a boiling pot

Works great but buzzes/vibrates. At first it came shattered but we were able to get a replacement in 3 days. It looks and works great! My only complaint is it's much noisier than expected. The pans vibrate and make a buzzing noise but this is my first induction stove so I'm sure I'll get used to it. It is able to boil water insanely fast!

However, I WISH, somehow it could have been prepped in the description for dummies like me?? I HAD NO IDEA, this was a special type of cooktop that required a specific type of cookware to operate. And let me tell you, the cookware is NOT cheap! I've said this to say, if I had to complain, I would say the stove description should also include it needs INDUCTION COOKWARE or it will not work!. WTH is induction cookware......I KNOW, MY THOUGHT TOO! I had to go out for hours to find some that will work. I purchased a set that said base was induction, got home, tried it out and it didn't work. Took that set back and went out again the next day. It was a mess!!

New to convection cooking. I was totally amazed at the speed of cooking and the speed of stopping cooking once the unit is turned off

Excellent replacement choice. I replaced a 40 year old Magic Chef for this Empava with no regrets. Installation was easy as there are removable clips that gives you extra space in case the stove cutout does not exactly match. I had an electrian ensure wiring was correct for this stove. I did have to get new magnetic cookware

Exceptional Empava 36" Induction Cooktop. We purchased the Empava 36” Electric Induction cooktop from Lowes for our new kitchen countertops. We purchased it online and had it delivered. We love many great features of the cooktop including: The very fast speeds to boil water, it's sleek level look (no knobs or raised parts), having 5 burners, including a very useful timer, the keep warm setting, the H light for when the burner is still hot and the Lock button for when the cooktop is not in use. We would, without hesitation, purchase this cooktop again and would (and have) highly recommend it to friends and family

my 2nd Empava cooktop after the 1st failed. Price and availability are about the only 2 strong points of this cooktop. During COVID driven shortage, Lowe's had no other 36-in electric induction models in stock but Empava, so I bought one to finish a kitchen remodel. After 4 weeks it stopped working and had to be returned. Both (the defective which was returned and the replacement) cooktops hum/buzz when turned on high temps. Although I really like the clean look of knobless/integrated controls, I'd have rather paid more to get a better quality cooktop from a more recognizable appliance mfg

Love Induction Cooking. We have wanted to buy an induction cooktop for a few years but the prices were not feasible. We came across the Empava brand in the Lowe's app and thought it would be crazy not to at least try it out. We are so happy we did. It is a great price point for this amazing technology. It is so easy to learn to cook using induction. Really there was not much of a learning curve other than getting used to how quickly it heats up. The only drawback is the noise from the larger eye coming from the magnetic vibration. We are sure the higher priced inductions do not make the noise but it is not worth the extra money to us. We are so glad we took the chance on the price point. One of our favorite appliance purchases to date. Empava does not disappoint

My only complaints are the buttons are TOO sensitive and the alarm is down right annoying when a pan is removed when the unit is still on. Wish there was a way to disable the alarm

I'm loving my cooktop. Easy to wipe off spills while your cooking. I'm loving the temperature control. The top only gets hot from the pan. After heating water in my kettle, turned it off, remove from cooktop and was able to touch the stove it was hot from the kettle not the heating elements. So cool and safe with my special needs son

Controls were a little confusing at first but after you actually use it, they were fine. 3. Had to get an electrician if your electrical controls were outdated. 4. It seems to turn the heat on and off frequently causing a quick boil and then nothing instead of a constant simmer. But it still works and for the price Im still very happy with it

Induction heats intensely then stops then goes again when it's on medium or low which in turn Has been burning the food on the bottom of the pan when cooking. I bought this cook top because it was the cheapest induction I could find to replace my old one that broke. I'm glad I get to try out the induction before our remodel because I'm not sure that I'll get another. My pots and pans make really weird sounds when it's cooking mind you I have really good all clad pots and pans. My cast iron seems to be quieter. I have to admit it will boil water amazingly fast. Cook top doesn't heat up so food doesn't burn to glass

This Brand is great, my wife is happy with it. We ordered this induction cooktop to replace an older electric burner unit. Since we knew nothing about induction technology, we perchased it online. After an unexplained 2 day shipping delay, the cooktop arrived in perfect condition. Empava dropped an email to apologize for the delay. Okay this brand cares about this. I unwired the old unit, removed it and dropped the new unit in place. It took just minutes to hook up the wires and turn the unit on. Meanwhile my wife was reading the owners manual, trying to figure out how to operate her new cooktop. With just a little practice she was up and running. She's happy and she's really good at cooking

Port Angeles, WA.. I have been using this for a couple of months now, I am so impressed. I can boil water so fast. Food cooks fast and effecient. I do have to use it on a lower setting than I am use to because it heats so even and fast. Like med heat is a setting of 3-4, in stead of other stoves where it's like 6-7. It takes a little getting used to. biggest drawback cuz you can't use your aluminum pots and pans It's kind of hard to find ones that work that aren't just stainless steel where everything sticks. but after a year it's scratchless and clean. We cook a lot we stay at home a lot covid and all. It is held up well. when things over boil they don't go down and burn you can put your finger right next to a boiling pot

Cool Features but Missed the Mark. I waited a few months to write this review because I wanted to give it enough time to test all of the features. What I love about the stove: The stove design is very nice. I love that it has 5 burners so I can cook multiple items at once. The child lock is great also to ensure that the stove is not turned on in error. There is also a feature that makes the stove shut off once you lift the pot from the burner. What I hate about the stove: Although the 5 burners are great, if you use more than two at a time the stove shuts off. The stove only recognizes pots and pans with a silver bottom. Most new pot designs have black bottoms so it does not recognize them. Don't event try to use a cast iron pan. These are big issues for me as I have a large family so I need I need to cook in larger pots and pans but I can't replace my old ones because the new set did not work on the stove. Also only being able to cook on two burners at a time is not acceptable

Excellent Induction Cooktop. I own a couple of induction cook tops and have have used many. It is my favorite way to cook offering very precise control of the temperature. This cook top performs as well as the brand for which I paid $3k. I"ve now had this for over 3 years and I am very pleased with its quality and how it performs. We found a great deal at Kohl's for correct type of pans and we love cooking with our cooktop. Boils water in minutes. We have found we have to cook on lower heat temperatures for some things. We love how it cooks more consistently and evenly than other cooktops

You can't beat it for the price!. I purchased this unit about a month and a half ago and, honestly, I can't say that I could be happier with it. It works as an induction cooktop should. The lockout button is great as I have small children. I have not made anything that required me to use the timer function, but I can definitely see the advantage to it.The absolute ONLY thing I don't particularly care for is the redundant power buttons. In order to use the cooktop, you must turn it on, and then the power button to turn on the selected burner. It's more of a minor inconvenience, but absolutely not a dealbreaker when it comes to this cooktop. Overall, this is a fantastic cooktop and if you are worried about "you get what you pay for", don't. At this price point ($550), you will be more than happy with this cooktop!

This unit replace another induction cooktop that never worked right, if at all, but in all fairness the previous cooktop was about 30 years old. It was pretty simple to install as well. Remove the old, drop in the new, and hook up the wiring. It is also very lightweight and not as deep as I was expecting, only, maybe 3 inches. The only thing that I can say that I don't really like all that much is the redundant power buttons for the burners. There is a power button for the cooktop as a whole and then you have to hit a separate power button for the burner you want to use. I also had to increase the size of the opening by about 3/4 inch on one side, but I chalked that up to what I had to replace. All in all, this is a great unit! The price is unbeatable for an induction cooktop, especially at this price point

Food cooks much more evenly than a standard coil heating element stove. It seems safer too it won't turn the burner on unless there is a pot or pan on the burner, which I think is a really great feature. It also has a child lock. I will never buy another non-induction stove. I can't believe this one was so inexpensive compared to some of the others of the same size and type, it's a great bargin

Best range top I ever had!. I installed this unit myself-------EASY! Put a kettle on the burner with 3 or 4 cups of water and it was bubbling and producing steam in about 30 sec. on boost! FREAKIN' WOW! Very impressive thus far!

Remodeling?? You have GOT to get this!!. So we are remodeling our kitchen and I really wanted a gas cooktop because I'm not a fan of electric. Well changing over to gas was too expensive so we decided to go the induction route. MAN am I glad we did!! First time ever and I'm thrilled with my electric cooktop. I would recommend it to anyone. Boils water so fast it's crazy. Easy to clean...NO KNOBS...to clean around. Could not be happier!!

Fantastic. When our 36 inch LG stopped working and it was going to cost $700 to fix or $1500 to replace, we started looking at other models. This one fit the bill and, as a bonus, was induction. We did have to cut the countertop opening a smidgen wider to get this in, but otherwise installation was a breeze.We also needed new pans as ours were not induction friendly, which is Gina as we they were nearing their end anyways. I prefer using enameled cast iron on thus stove. When I use the stainless steel they "sing" when in use. The cast iron is silent. I'd wager it's the weight that keeps them silent. Boils very fast and responds to heat changes instantly. Perfectly smooth top that is easy to clean. You do have to be very cautious if spills as the unit senses them and turns off, but our LG radiant top was the same. Very pleased with our purchase

Works good so far . Would recommend that cut the hole for the stove as big as possibly for more ventilation will update after 6 months

We chose induction to reduce the amount of heat created by cooking to save on air conditioning cost because the electric power "Co-op" is a sham that charges as much for fuel to produce a kwh as we pay total per kwh at our city house, just 60 miles away

I dislike how buttons are not as responsive with food on my fingers or something.... probably an issue with all touch buttons on cooktops. I had a gas and looked for that when we moved. Our cleaner broke the glass on the gas top and I decided to try induction. OMG better control than gas and love the fact that it only heats when a pan is on. It did get a scratch on it and the company reached out to me and sent a new glass for the top

Never going back to gas or electric. We didn't know anything about induction cooktops until our cooktop died on us - it was probably 25 years old. We searched and searched and found that induction looked pretty good and this was a hell of a deal for one. We figured why not, and let me tell you, we couldn't be happier. Don't hesitate to buy this. It heats up faster than anything we've ever had before. Probably the only minor things I'd point out, and they are so minor, is that if the room is super super bright the led can be a bit dim. This is a great cooktop, we love it

As for induction you can't beat this!. First off... it's just a bit shy of 36" so double check hole size as I had to order a trim from another company. Turned out good but not as clean as it would've been without. This thing heats up fast... makes a bit of noise with cooling fans underneath but not bad. I'm worried it will scratch easy, already have one that the GF said she didn't do :-| but none since then. I'm supper happy and you really can't beat the price. pro tip: The "Lo" doesn't mean 'Low heat' it mean the buttons are locked so you have to hold the 'KEY' button down till it clears. I thought the thing was junk at first till I figured this out. Maybe the best part... could not have been easier to set up the install... right at checkout you are connected with an installer and given options for the best time for him to arrive

The best brand you've never heard of. Was a little nervous buying, as I had (a) never used an induction cooktop and (b) never heard of this brand. After installing the unit and using it for a few weeks, I'm really glad I took the leap of faith. WAAAYYYYY better than regular glass electric cooktop, as it heats quickly and, more importantly, cools quickly to adjust cooking levels on the fly. All digital controls work well and are simple/intuitive to use

Install was ridiculously easy except that it was 2 cm over my previous cutout, but can't complain about that - quick grind down.When done, worked beautifully. I was hesitant to write a review until we really put it through testing with our summer/fall canning. Pickles are done, did a slow pasteurize process at 180-185 degrees using range of 6 on the slider and leaving it. That level of ease is important to me, coil electric is too unreliable and we don't have gas here. Lesson learned - old school canning pots may not have the "smooth" surface you thought they did before you tried... not the fault of the stove manufacturer.The surface doesn't get hot... Placing paper towels UNDER a pan of cooking bacon with no heat mark is so odd, but it works so well.All in all, it is a DEFINITE BUY!

It boils water VERY quickly ( I didn't think I'd care, but I love it!). The only downside that stands out is that the slide controls on our unit are imprecise. Sometimes it will only allow even numbers, or only disallow 3 or 6. I don't know why. Ghosts in the machine! But still, it's a good stove.Note: on occasional mornings, I get up and find the entire unit unresponsive. For whatever reason, if I run my finger down the sliding scale and up again, it wakes up, ready for the day. Go figure!

Dont hesitate buy it. Ive been having this cooktop for a couple months now so I can give u an accurate description on the item. It cooks really well and was fairly simple to install but i am a contractor so I cant say about anyone else. If you have ever replaced an appliance u shouldnt have an issue with this. It was my first induction and i took a chance onna brand ive never heard of bc the price obviously. Some of the burners dont seem to get real hot with certain enamel cast iron pots, everyother kind of pot they all work great with. It gets to boiling or frying within a minute which is very impressive!!!! The only thing i have noticed is it scratches a little easier than i would have thought. My home is under construction so my kids are putting everything on it to make food so that could be why. If you have a small kitchen I would suggest making or buying a cover if u want to stay scratch free. I made one and i posted some pics. I also love the controls, its so much easier to keep clean without knobs and it looks 100% better without them

Great Value. Works very well. Amazing for the price when you compare it to other induction brands. Took us through very heavy cooking times through the holidays and worked like a charm!

Like it a lot.. It takes some getting used to, but seems to work well. The induction is amazing as far as a cooking source.Hope it holds up. If it makes it over a year I'll be pleased. If it doesn't I'll update my post

Doubting Thomas. I liked this item from the very first time I read a review but still was skeptical about the cooktop because of the inexpensive price. I have been using the cooktop for a little over a week now and it is really terrific and well worth the price

had it a few weeks now. works well. I have a nuwave cooktop which inspired me to replace my gas cooktop with this. no problems other than wiring made me have to turn to the internet. loses a point on style...the 1500 dollar ones do look better.

Five Stars. Works great, but still bought the extended warranty

So far great purchase. Like the other review I was very skeptical due to the price and there is almost no information about the manufacturer available. With the low price I decided to buy the square trade warranty with it just in case and give it a shot. Installed the cooktop over the weekend without issue, easy to install ( same issue with brackets but was able to work around that ). Cooktop is easy to operate and seems to do everything I expected. Quality seems reasonable so if it holds up over the years then we made a great purchase
