Just got this installed a few days ago. It is better than my expectations at this price point. Heats up very quickly and easily brings water to a boil. The controls are a little tricky to figure out - still having to refer to the manual to operate. Fingerprints show up immediately once you touch a button so be prepared to wipe down frequently if that bothers you.

Nice and slim. Replaced an old 1960's Modern Maid cooktop without modifications to countertop or cabinets. We originally tried a GE, but the GE required major modifications to cabinets underneath. This Empava cooktop was MUCH more affordable than the GE, and MUCH easier to install. Looks great, works good. Only complaints are: 1) The eye selector/indicator is not the best design, but functional. 2) The rear left & rear right eyes are same physical size, but different wattages. Have to remember which one is higher wattage to keep from scorching food on the higher wattage eye.

Even heat for stir fry. The keep warm zone does NOT glow red. That's by design. It's a low 100W element.
