The connections seem to be made of brass and the hose has standard durability, so it should be able to handle high gas pressure with no issues. Keep in mind that there is plenty of gas left in the hose after turning off the tank valve. The adapter certainly has some safety features to prevent accidental damage. I would still recommend burning the remaining gas off before disconnecting the hose from your appliance. We do love the gas gauge, it's helpful to see how much gas is left to use. The thing is it's more like a guideline rather than an accurate measurement. It has three indicators for cold, cool and hot days. We wish they included a temperature scale or range in the manual for what they actually meant. Otherwise, the adapter does exactly what it is supposed to do and we couldn't ask for more.

Perfect propane gauge. This product is amazing the hose and gauge are perfect no more guessing on how much propane is left in the tank or no more “warm water, cool hand method” my previous hose was only 3ft long now that I have a 5ft hose things are better in the fact that I can now use my portable burner safely by having the tank far from the burner without worrying of it getting too hot and blowing up. This is a must for camping or cook outs.

This would be an indispensable tool for campers, but also useful around the house. Pros: It's a little over 5 feet long. Has well-constructed connecters on both ends. A gauge that I probably will never look at, but nice to have just in case. And the casing on the hose itself is a high quality rubbery material that looks like it'll easily survive a fair amount of wear-and-tear over many years. Cons: None that I can find yet! As long as the seals stay strong, I anticipate this hose lasting me a lifetime. I'm gonna get a lot of use out of it for camping stoves.
