Empava Solid Brass 1lb to 20lb Propane Refill Adapter with

Took me 2 minutes to figure out. No instructions in the box but I looked it up online.

A nice option to fill small tanks. I was a little skeptical as I never tried one of these before. To my surprise it works as it should. The only downfall is no directions came with it, but no problem just look it up online. It is made well, mostly brass. The money I will save by filling my own small tanks. It's very simple to use, screw it on your large tank, then screw your small tank on, tip the big tank upside down and open the valve. Made of nice material, built well and easy to use, sweet success. I think I will add a small gauge to make sure the small tank is filled perfectly.

Not Quite Certain What I Got but .... The adapter requested arrived in a box marked w/model empv-eh46 (see photo). The adapter received looks nothing like that model number pictured on the HD website. That being acknowledged I'm submitting a review based on the item I received (see photos). The adapter is solid brass and well built ...should give LONG life of use AND be rust-free at that. I'm lucky in that i saved all my 1 pound cans and can now refill/reuse them. the oversized threaded knob will assure a nice tight fit (think leak free) and won't require any tools. ...as for the smaller nut-type end; i may need to use a wrench to hold securely as i thread on the 1 pound tank. ....a great tool to have for any one using those 1 pound tanks.

Very useful. I originally wanted this for the portable camping stove/propane heater bottles you know the iconic green ones. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the thread pattern is the same for my propane torch bottle (see photos). The bottle I filled wasn't completely empty but it seemed to accept additional propane and appears to have filled without issue. I will let it run empty and try again to verify. This makes it very convenient as I have several spare propane bottles at the house.

Works with 20 lb and 30 lb propane tanks. I've used it on both. No difference.

Works as described minor challenges. Overall does what it was designed to do. I love how I am able to fill up my smaller 1lb camping tank without having to go fill it at a store. Didn't come with instructions, but found a how-to video online. The only minor complaint is the brass nut moves when hand tightening or loosening it. So you need decent hand strength to hold it while with your other hand move the smaller bottle or you could use a wrench to hold it from moving.

Just be sure to use the adapter in a well ventilated area. I am very please with this adapter. There are several online videos you can watch to feel comfortable using it. Works perfectl and build quality is high. This propane tank refilling adapter worked perfectly to refill a small green propane bottle I use with my propane torch head. The plastic black end of the adapter screws onto the large propane tank with the valve turned to the off position. The tank is then turned upside down so that liquid is used to fill the smaller canister. The smaller green canister is then screwed onto the brass end of the adapter. Sometimes a small amount of gas will be discharged when connecting or disconnecting the smaller canister. The tank fills best when done in two stages. Fill until you hear the pressure equalize, then remove the canister and put it in the freezer for 5 minutes. Then refill the canister some more until the pressure equalizes. At that point, the canister should be full. Naturally, all of this should be done where there is no ignition source nearby. The build quality is excellent and the threading is a perfect match.
