Kamado Joe Heavy-Duty Grill Cover – Classic Joe

Poor Quality. I bought this cover with my new KJ Classic 3 last November. Within 6 months it has faded to light gray and some of the stitching is coming apart. This quality is not in line with the quality of the KJ Grills. I do not recommend buying these covers. They do not hold up.

Can't stand the rain. It looks nice, but the cover doesn't hold up against rain and bad weather. Within a year, the cover has become discolored and grimy.

Poor Coverage! This cover was trash within 6 to 8 months. "Heavy Duty" No. I've always loved my Komodo Joe products but this is garbage.

Great product to have. We love having the cover to put back over our grill to help protect it.

Cover handle problem. I purchased the cover and my Big Joe III almost 3 years ago. The plastic handle on the top disintegrated and fell off this week. The cover still looks good and I can continue to use it. I think the webbing material attaching the handle is the problem, and further suspect that sun and weather were major factors. Perhaps your engineers should look for a better material for the handle.

Meh.. I’ve had mine for a little over a year. The bad: any color on it has faded and the stitching is coming apart. The good: no holes in it. There aren’t a whole lot of options for covers so kind stuck with this one. I don’t anticipate getting another year out of it

Looks nice at the beginning but quickly fades and. Fits and looks nice. But unfortunately don’t last long. They last less than 2 seasons (I have already bought 2 and will have to buy my 3rd one shortly). In comparison. I have a grill with its original napoleon cover for the same amount of time outdoor and it still looks like new. Company should look into getting better material.

Poor Quality Heavy Duty Cover. I bought a Big Joe about a year ago. I also bought a Heavy Duty grill cover. One year later the cover is very badly faded and ugly gray. The trim is also fading and actually wearing off. Extremely poor quality. You are better off buying a cheap knock off and rebuy when it goes bad!! I am extremely disappointed in Kamado! You would think their R&D would have tested the product before going to market.

Heavy Duty Cover. Does exactly what it's intended to do. Made from high-quality material. Very durable

DO NOT BUY! Do NOT waste $130 +tax on this extremely poor quality cover. It states in the description that it "limits fading and sun damage using UV resistant technology." That is a laugh. It faded to gray from the sun in a mere matter of months. After a year, it is nearly white and all of the braiding is so badly sun damaged that it is completely falling off the cover. I have never seen any other grill or furniture cover disintegrate so quickly. If you do purchase it, contact customer service prior to being out of the warranty period, because if it is outside of that period, they could care less to stand behind their product.

bad quality, very disappointed. In less than one year this cover fell apart. The description says "Designed with UV resistant technology to limit fading and sun damage", but after just a few months the cover turned a gray color and then started to disintegrate. I'm really disappointed with the quality. I shouldn't have to buy a new cover every 9-12 months.

Disappointed. Handsome cover with red letter logo and pipping. BUT, after a few months; 4 to be exact the cover has faded to gray, and the red pipping has turned white. My new Kamado smoker grilled looks like a 10 year old piece of equipment instead of a newly investment purchase. Paid good money for the grill and seems that subpar accessories do not measure up.

Great quality. Very good material and design. I believe it will last a long time

Poor quality. After 1 year it was grey After 2 years it is closer to white than to black. I have another grill, BroilKing and its cover is in Much better condition.

Bad quality cover. The cover is of very bad quality. Mine faded in a month, and didn't hold well in the first winter

Good cover. Bought this cover for my new classic Joe. As a matter of fact, I bought 2 of these covers! They were on clearance and I figured I would need another one eventually anyway, so why not? Well this cover keeps my grill dry and has the vent to let it breathe. Not sure what to say, it’s waterproof, completely covers the grill (with the shelves folded), has clips to keep it snug, although 40mph winds didn’t pull it off without using them! There are cheaper covers, but they don’t say Kamado Joe on them!

Perfect factory fit as I always prefer I original manufacture products.

Great Fit. Fits great, looks to be pretty durable. Grill lives in the elements 100% of the time.

Big Joe cover /poorly made. Everything they say about the currently shipping BIG JOE cover in the description is FALSE. House painters hit my original cover with overspray and offered to replace the cover with new. This was a replacement for my 5 year old original, it leaked within a few months, faded QUICKLY, and the red trim started to come apart. At first it was a perfect fit, beaded water off, breathed well and remained black. Now it is a grey color and I am looking for alternatives. Both from my experience and the abundance of complaints on the website, KamadoJoe has chosen an inferior supplier that forgot to use UV protectant. I should have kept my original which was the best made cover I have ever had on a grill. Live and learn.

Cover Quickly Fades in Sun. Bought the cover early June 2025. It has faded grey from the sun. It’s no good. I have a RecTec pellet smoker with a cover for 5 years which does not fade. They need to change the material.

Great Durability. I have two heavy duty covers and they are constantly exposed to Midwest weather patterns. After multiple years not a single issue and have withheld the temperature and humidity fluctuations. The bottom latch straps are durable and hold securely through windy days. Great product. #sponsoredpost

Cover already fading. I've had the cover on the Joe for a couple weeks and the two red "stripes" /cords running around the cover have already turned pink. The cover is fine but given the cost, I expected it to look new for a much longer period of time.

Fabric fades/breaks down. This fades in the sun almost immediately and frays where the red trim is attached. I anticipate will need to be replaced shortly.

keeps my Joe looking new. I have had my Joe for almost 3 years, and the cover is doing an amazing job. The Joe still looks new, and the cover is still lasting. I have had covers for my gas grill and they usually don't make it past much more than a year. I am very pleased with this construction.

All Weather Protection. To love a grill is to take care of the grill and no grill setup is complete without a good cover. A cover that can last in the extreme heat of the summer and frigid cold of winter. I bought this cover and was very impressed with how heavy it was. It did well to keep out the elements but also over ventilation so mold wouldn’t grow in or on the grill. I live in the Southeast and summer are very very humid. It also helped to keep my Joe looking clean . No weather worn spots or bird droppings on my grill! Great cover I have bought it twice but each time the cover lasted years.

Great Grill Cover. This cover fits perfectly and stays on in the wind and snow.

Perfect accesory! We love your Heavy Duty Grill Cover. It is heavy duty- nice and thick canvas, keeps out all weather. Fits well and tightly. You need this if you keep your grill out in the open!

No good. Not as advertised! This cover is not as advertised unfortunately. It is not heavy duty and didn’t last a season. The sun and weather completely deteriorated the cover. It’s embarrassing to look at.

Fits perfectly. I bought this cover shortly after the purchase of my classic Joe to protect it from the sun and weather. So glad that I did.

Have had this for eight years and it still looks b. Awesome cover best grill cover I have ever had and I have had quite a few

Long lasting. I've had this for 3-4 years now, no rips and has held up in weather

just fit. The Kamado Joe cover fits perfectly, feels heavy-duty, and holds up well in rain and sun. Keeps the grill clean and protected year-round

Finally Got One, and It's Overdue. I finally got one for my birthday and it has helped so much with peace of mind. Now I know that my grill will last longer as it's protected from the rain and snow, especially in these tough cold climates.

Holds up to Wisconsin winters! Great protector for the elements - my grill stays covered year round so I can use it rain, shine or snow. Expect the Color on the logo to fade to pink, but who cares? It’s a cover. Also breathable so limits moisture build up.

Way To Go Kamado Joe! Just bought the Kamado Joe Classic cover. Durable, great fit, easy on and off. Kamado Joe perfection once again. Protect your investment. Grill on! Way to go, Kamado Joe!

Great Cover. I purchased my cover for my Classic Joe and it protects it against the weather all year long.

Great Grill Cover. Great cover - had a lot of rain this summer and my Classic III has been kept dry

Protect your Investment. If you are willing to spend the money to purchase the best, make sure you protect it as best you can.

Too much marketing. I'm sure the cover is fine, but the branding / marketing is stronger and brighter than I realized. Looked more like a display in a hardware store. Ended up ordering an all black one off of Amazon

Took a little while to be delivered. Fits like a glove. Protects this investment fairly well. I just wish the skirt were long enough to protect the wheels a bit better.

Faded - not built to last. Poor quality - faded after one year - I would never buy again

Incredible quality!!!! The Classic Joe cover is impressive!! The strength and quality of the cover are fantastic. It is not a flimsy cover it is heavy duty and can withstand the elements. I have 7 additional KJ accessories and they are all very well built .... I am extremely pleased with the quality of all KJ products.

HORRIBLE QUALITY. Won't last over one season!! HORRIBLE quality. Used it for 6 months and then put grill in garage for winter. Just pulled the grill back out of garage and the cover has already ripped. Kamado Joe should be embarrassed to sell such a poorly made product.

Do no buy, very poor quality. Bought the Big Joe 3 BBQ and cover just over a year ago. Out of the box it looks good, however it faded and fell apart in 1 year..bad quality..the ribbing is dangling off, the colour is gone. This is $160 I’m Australia, over double what a generic cover is. I asked around in online BBQ forums and many commented similar experiences, the quality has dropped significantly over the last few years, avoid this until KJ fix their quality

Could be so much better. Cover looks fantastic and seems robust when new, however, for a premium product it weathers surprisingly quickly. Ours has barely endured 2 winters. Some fading is expected but not deconstruction!

Grill is good. Cover is in terrible condition. I purchased the Big Joe in June of 24. The cover is rotting away. Isn’t it warranty for 1 YR?

Great fit, excellent quality! Fits perfect and works as expected. Seems like it will last a long time, would recommend having!

Doesn’t do well in sun. This does not hold up well in the Texas sun! Mine has faded completely to pink (old red) and light grey (old black). It’s certainly not worth the $100 pricetag. Glad I bought during a sale for half off but even still I have plenty of black covered that have not faded

Fades faster than a Larry Bird fadeaway. Fits great but fades very fast. Evidently allergic to the sun.

Durable. I’ve had my big Joe three cover for more than four years. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. Still looks very good. I Think I can get another four years out of it.

FADED in 2 months. Cover faded within 2 months in Arizona summer. However, i gave 2 stars because the material help up

Newer is better. New cover is an upgrade from the previous version. Appears to be a heavier material and the beading appears much stronger. This cover should withstand the Florida sun for quite a while. As always Kamado Joe is upping their game on their products.

Let it rain. It’s a perfect fit, easy on easy off. Material looks to be great quality.

The Perfect Cover for My Kamado Joe! I couldn't be happier with the Kamado Joe Heavy Duty Grill Cover! From the moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by the quality and craftsmanship. It's made from durable, weather-resistant material that feels solid and strong. I love how snugly it fits my Kamado Joe, providing excellent protection from the elements. Whether it's rain, wind, or intense sunlight, I know my grill is safe and secure. The cover is also surprisingly easy to put on and take off, thanks to its well-designed straps and lightweight feel. It stays in place even during strong winds, and I appreciate how it keeps my grill looking like new. If you're looking for a reliable, long-lasting cover to protect your Kamado Joe, look no further! This cover has exceeded my expectations in every way. Highly recommend!

Heavy Duty! I’ve been using these grill covers for 4+ years now and have been very impressed with their durability. Before, I had been using ones I found online, but I would usually need to replace them every year due to small tears in the material over time. So far, these hold up incredibly well and I would recommend them, they’ve handled our very hot summers well. Note, I did receive the covers in exchange for an honest review.

Must have accessory for your grill. I have had this cover for over a year now and it is holding up perfectly, keeps my pellet joe dry and clean when not in use. It is super easy to take off and put back on and so far even with heavy winds it stays in place.

Grill cover. Have had my pellet joe for almost a year and this cover has held up well most grill covers don’t make it a year in my yard with direct sun.

This kamado Joe heavy duty grill cover Is awesome! I got this Kamado Joe heavy duty grill cover a few months ago and I’m glad I did, it’s so easy to put on and take off and really keeps my grill safe from the elements, it rained over the weekend and it held up nicely, it looks really good and it such a great buy, definitely a must have if you own a kamado Joe grill.

Heavy Duty indeed! My Kamado Joe covers (2) are still holding up in the south Texas sun where they live & work 365!! Mine are 3 years old, a little faded of course but zero rips, no frayed edges, and still 100% completely intact. I wish all grill covers were made this sturdy.

Great cover! One of the best grill covers I have owned. Form fitting. Great stitching. And thick material with a nice handle on top. The only thing I could say is it does fade rather quickly... But I do live in Florida and the sun is brutal here. All in all it's a great cover that's worth the money. 🔥

A must have for your Kamado Joe! I own one of these heavy duty grill covers for each of my Kamado Joe grills they are a must have! Super durable, easy to put on and remove, locking clips on both bottom sides and also a vent on the back for air circulation. Highly recommend!!!

Durable. I got one of these covers with my Pellet Joe. Overall pretty happy with it. Stays on snug even through storms. The material is durable. The downside is that it faded in one season...now it's a bit of an eyesore compared to what else is on my patio. 8/10

Must have for the KJ. I had a generic kamado cover for my KJ previously that wasn't holding up and was starting to deteriorate. I bought this recently and it was worth the upgrade! I love the fit and finish and how easy it is to remove right off the grill with the thick top handle. A lot of grill covers don't look great, but the logo and fit of this cover is spot on. Highly recommended!

Durable. It’s been a great durable cover for my Kamado Joe.

Grill cover. Fits perfect with the pellet joe kamado grill, I recommend this cover.

Only partly heavy duty. While the main body of the cover has lasted and withstood the elements, the handle clearly isn’t up to scratch. In no time after daily sun exposure the hand completely breaks down and becomes brittle and fall apart. Very counter intuitive to have something so flimsy and susceptible to UV rays that it falls apart within a year that is meant to protect your grill and be outside year round. This definitely needs a new material for its handle.

Grill cover. It fits perfectly but the color faded very quickly.

Great quality. I use mine on the outside and it's been more than 3 years and still working great

Quality Cover. The cover holds up well for years. You just have to figure out how to remind yourself to cover it before it rains, but wait for the grill to cool after use.

Great Grill Cover. I bought this cover when I bought my grill almost two years ago and it has held up great. Would definitely recommend.

Great cover for my Joe! Well built and durable. Keeps dust, rain and critters off my Joe. Bought 2!

Stood up well. I had this thing outside for nearly a decade and just finally have to retire it because it is wearing out. Great quality!

Easy to use and effective. Keeps my Kamado Joe Classic II grill looking great. Easy to use and quick to put on. Couldn't be happier.

Very Rich Looking. This cover looks and performs great. It is a sharp addition to my summer kitchen.

Update to: GARBAGE Cover! UPDATE: This is an update to my previous review (unfortunately I can't change the original, for some reason). Customer Service reached back out and said the cover is actually warrantied for 2 years and have already shipped a replacement - that's great! Updated rating is to reflect the follow-up from Customer Service team, clarification on warranty, and responsiveness. I'm still very disappointed by the extreme deterioration of my first 2 covers. I'll be getting a UV protectant spray for the next one - hopefully it lasts longer.

Poor quality. I have this cover for less than a year It began to show wear and fading in 6 months. It was black when I first got it The stripes are completely worn and falling apart Thus not poor quality for the price

Cover quality not great! The fit is good, but after only 1 month, the red accents are faded to orange, and the black is turning gray feom sun fade. There is no UV resistance to the material at all.

Kamado Joe cover. Great product and quality. It covers completely the Kamado.

Covers well and keeps it clean and dry. The grill cover covers the BBQ perfectly. My only complaint is that the Control tower top came up with cover when I took it off. My solution has been to take the tower top off and store it on the bottom rack after I'm 100% sure all of the charcoal is snuffed out.

Cover helps keep the inside of the grill dry. As others have said the Red on the cover fades but that doesn't affect the weather proofing of the cover.

Poor UV resistance (UK). Just a year in, the British climate has completely bleached the (Big Joe) cover with parts of the cord covers disintegrating. Not great 'UV resistant technology'! Couldn't be happier with the overall Joe product quality, this lets it down.

Great Cover. Great fit on the Big Joe and it appears to be of good quality.

Cover. Fits beautifully and am very pleased with my purchase l.

My heavy duty grill cover. Great item, wore the first one out. Protects my Joe well.

Good cover. It is a great grill cover. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish it was included with the purchase of the grill.

Protect that Joe! We plan on using this baby for a looooong time & keeping Big Joe protected is a MUST! Solid quality cover.

Big Joe III review. Love the Bug Joe III grill and all of the accessories it came with. The cover is super easy to put on and pull off. Smoked ribs for the first cook and they turned out great.

Nice, but - - -. Good looking! Fits better than the original cover. But in less than a month it has faded very badly! I hope it doesn’t fall apart as quick !

Cover looks shot. 1 is too high but I couldn’t comment otherwise. I’ve owned my classic Joe for a bit over 2 years and am on my second cover. Luckily I bought it from Lowe’s so I could return it the first time. My second cover is faded and the piping around it is frayed and falling apart. It still works but makes my beautiful grill look horrible when it’s on. For $90 it should last a lot longer than it has.

WEATHERS & FADES POORLY, NOT HEAVY DUTY. My Big Joe Series 1 cover fits well, looks nice ....but only for 5 mos. The wear and fading after just 5 mos was pretty bad. Stich ribbing weathered poorly by just being outside on the patio. Fits well, but not worth the price.

Fades badly. Wanted to spend the extra $$ to show off the Kamado Joe name on my new kitchen island. After a little more than 4 months it looks terrible.

Nice ! Nice Heavy duty material. BUT it’s only been a month and the Red trim has already faded. Hope that not an indication of how long it will last

Not heavy duty at all. Looks great new, but did not make it 12 month without fading out/looking wrecked. My KJ is full year on my back porch (north side of the house) under a roof. Mild winter barely below 32F, no snow (Atlanta region). This performance is not what I expect of something called „heavy duty“. Big KJ fan and happy with all my gear except this one.

Aging cover is good. I have haf my cover for over 5 years, and I have not found anything wrong with it. and it sits outside in all of the elements... It has faded a bit, but no other mishaps have occurred;;; I hzbr always appreciated how it fits the grill

Protection at Its Finest. As a proud owner of a Kamado Joe Grill, I understand the importance of protecting my investment from the elements. That's why I decided to invest in the Kamado Joe Heavy Duty Grill Cover, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. First and foremost, the build quality of this grill cover is exceptional. Crafted from heavy-duty, weather-resistant material, it provides robust protection against rain, snow, wind, and UV rays. I can rest easy knowing that my grill is shielded from the elements year-round. One of the standout features of the Kamado Joe Heavy Duty Grill Cover is its custom fit. Designed specifically for Kamado Joe grills, it hugs the contours of my grill snugly, providing a tailored fit that not only looks sleek but also ensures maximum coverage and protection. I also appreciate the thoughtful design elements incorporated into this grill cover. The adjustable straps and buckles make it easy to secure the cover firmly in place, even during strong winds. Additionally, the ventilation flaps prevent moisture buildup and condensation, preventing mold and mildew from forming on my grill. Durability is another area where the Kamado Joe Heavy Duty Grill Cover shines. Despite exposure to harsh weather conditions, including heavy rain and intense sunlight, it has remained resilient and intact, showing no signs of wear or tear. This speaks volumes about the quality of craftsmanship and materials used in its construction

Great Quality! Much better quality than what you can buy on Amazon. Unfortunately I stopped using it because I have my grill in a table build now. Would buy again if they offered custom table covers!

It's a must have accessory! If your going to spend big money on a a grill you want to make sure you protect your investment. I purchased this with my grill and it has held up for 5+ years. It has faded but my grill does sit in direct sunlight. It's well worth the money to protect your grill.

Haven’t used it yet. Not sure. Wanted to use the soap stone which I never received, but packing slip said it was packed with the grill. Messaged customer service twice the past 3 weeks

Fits like a glove. This is a really nice grill cover. It seems to be made out of good material and it fits perfectly over my Komodo Joe.
