Love the size. Great for cooking grilling and smoking, Also got the cover and additional charcoal stack starter.

Plenty of space! Great grill! It can fit 9 baby back ribs when bbq or smoking with the side smoker attached to it. I have smoke tri-tip and brisket on this too! The only con about this grill is it rust too fast even if you season it. I seasoned mine when I bought it, put alot of vegetable oil inside and out of it. Burned it with my first charcoal heat to 500 degrees. Then two years later it is rusting. Other than that I love char griller products!

Outlaw Grill for big steaks. I like Porterhouse steaks, and this is the grill for cooking them. There is plenty of room to move them around for just the right amount of char and soaking in the hickory chip smoke. Friends tell me all the time how great my steaks are, and this is the grill to get them to that point of perfection.

Solid Barrel Grill. I’ve had my Outlaw for years and have enjoyed every square inch of it! The barrel of the grill is heavy and has held up to the South seasons perfectly. I love being able to order the replacement Ash Pan, which is the only part I’ve had to reorder thus far.

Outlaw Cooking. I recently purchased an Outlaw 36" barrel charcoal grill to replace a Char-griller 22" barrel charcoal grill, love them both. The 22" is still in great condition and I will still use it at a vacation home.I love the features on these grill, easy clean up and quality parts.

Great backyard grill! Perfect for cooking smaller meals. Works well for us.

Some parts can't handle the heat well. This has been a great grill for keeping at our seasonal camper. The problem with it is the ash pan is thin and the first season it warped and the cross rods on the grate for the charcoal all twisted and began to break off. It will no longer lock into the tabs on the bottom of the grill barrel. This was very surprising since I have always had good luck with Char Griller

Last for years. I purchased my barrel grill over 12 years ago and with the ability to order individual parts, it is as good as new. It fell down two flights of steps on my deck during a windstorm, after adjusting the hood it was as good as new.

LOVE my Gambler. I love this little guy. Great for fast small cooks. Quick easy to clean up. Very small footprint for traveling or on your patio for fast cooks. Mine stays put up on patio I like it so much and use it a lot.

YES , I WOULD PURCHASE IT AGAIN . THE GRILL IS WELL MADE AND THE QUALITY AND "FIT" ARE VERY GOOD . I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS AND HOW CLEARLY THE HARDWARE WAS MARKED AND PACKAGED . IT MADE IT EASY TO ASSEMBLE . THE ONLY THING I NOTICED THAT MIGHT BE AN IMPROVEMENT IS TO MAKE THE HEIGHT OF THE CHARCOAL TRAY ADJUSTABLE ( UP AND DOWN ) ( CLOSER OR FUFTHER FROM THE GRILL ) MAYBE THAT,S NOT NECESSARY IN THIS GRILL . I JUST NOTICED THAT SOME OTHER GRILLS HAVE THAT FEATURE . A GOOD VALUE FOR THE PRICE .

Need a better ash pan! Great small deck grill for my spouse and I. Easy to assembly and move around the deck and patio. However, the ash pan is horrible. I would suggest replacing the ash pan with a slightly wider and better quality one as well as getting a deck and patio grill matt to protect your deck and concrete from grease spills.

Great grill for on the go or at home. The Gambler performed just as expected and maintained a constant temp with very little adjustments. It's a versatile grill and perfect for on the go or camping and at a good price as well. In the future I could see changing out the stock wheels with something a little more sturdy and maybe seal up the barrel more. Overall though I really loved The Gambler, can't wait to take it camping this year! Putting it together was a breeze and had no issues. Collapsing the grill and setting it up was easily done. The gambler felt stable while upright. After seasoning I cooked some ribs hot and fast and still had plenty of heat left to do chicken thighs. It will be a great addition.

Get portable design. I absolutely love the compact portable design of this grill. Now I can take the authentic smoked flavor with me on my pop ups. The build was a breeze. I also like the dual damper idea as it's easy to maintain temp.

Excellent Portable Grill!! Highly Recommended!! My grilling brotha Ronald and I (Josh aka J-Cleve) were excited when Char-Griller announced their new King Griller Gambler Portable Charcoal Grill. We both grill a lot for our grilling YouTube channel and for our families. We talked about getting portable grills for ourselves when we take our families to the park or outings this summer. We assembled and used the grill for the first time this weekend. We were extremely pleased! Char-Griller, you guys outdid yourselves with this one. Let's me share with you some of the many things we like about the Gambler. Packaging - The packing was very good for this grill. It wasn't bulky and not super heavy which made picking it up and transporting it to the car very easy. This package can fit in a trunk or the back seat of a small car. Assemble - The grill was easy to assemble. It took me about 1hr (I took my time) to put the grill together myself. The instructions that came with the grill are simple and easy to follow which made it seamless to assemble. The only issue I had during the assembly was pushing the rod (it holds the wheels) through the hole of one of the legs. It kept getting stuck so two taps with a hammer and I was good to go. Features - We love the portability of the grill. The grill isn't heavy and has a latch that keeps the grill closed when transporting. This is great when pulling the grill around or lifting it. However, it does have some weight to it which lets me know it

Awesome portable grill! Can't wait to take it fishing. I got this recently and did both a porterhouse and striped bass on it. She fired up quickly and help temp easy. Clean up was quick and she rolled right back into the garage. Thinking about g erring. Y daughter one.

This grill is AWESOME!! This little guy holds temperature no problem! Definitely works great when I'm reverse sear smoking in my grand champ, then need a quick sear on my gambler. It was easy to set up, and folds down like it's nothing! When it's folded, it takes about as much room as a golf bag. Definitely recommend getting this, it's a fun little grill!

The Gambler is now my favorite travel grill! BBQing and traveling are my two favorite things. The Gambler just made it possible to have my cake and eat it too! This is the perfect grill for on the go. It collapses down for easy storage and travel. It has large wheels to roll over any kind of ground without any issues, which is great because I do a lot of camping in different terrains. Best of all it has a large cooking area. Some travel grills I've tried in the past were never large enough. This can fit a cast iron skillet with no issues either! The Gambler is definitely a game changer!

Impressive! Little Grill, Big. Impressive! I have to say that I am really impressed with the way this little grill runs! The build was pretty straightforward. It took me 35-40 minutes. The instructions were easy to follow, and the hardware pack was nicely labeled on both sides. It is so much easier to keep the hardware in the pack's tray and open from the back with the perforated slots. The hardest part was getting the second pin through the holes where bars cross. Must be what the hammer is for. The lid was slightly bent when I put it on, but I was able to bend it back into form. With the latch on the grill, it all squared up nicely. When it came to seasoning I was really blown away!!! I used a little over 1/2 of a chimney of lit briquettes and spread them in the grill. With the dampers adjusted I got the grill to maintain 400° for almost 2 hours with no changes! Talk about a major surprise in temperature stability! The cast iron grates came out a nice golden brown color. As far as cooking, this grill did an amazing job with the 2 cooks so far that I have done on it. I grilled chicken thighs and pork tenderloin using indirect and direct heat zones. The sear marks were pretty impressive for such a small grill. The meat started over direct heat for sear marks then finishing on the indirect side. They were juicy, moist and delicious. My only complaint so far is that the because of where the charcoal is on the ash pan/charcoal tray, great searing doesn't seem to extend to the fr

The best Portable grill I have used. This grill is awesome, It is light yet strong and sturdy. Easy to use, fold up and take with you camping or Tailgating, even cooking in the back yard. I do a lot of cooking on all types of grills. This Grill will be going with me to Competitions. I love how easy it is to use, move and cook on. Honest Gambler review. This grill is impressive! Portable so you can take it on the go, an impressive amount of grilling area for being portable and it holds heat very well. Easy to assemble and very straight forward instructions. I love the tray for easy clean up and the the fact that there's a grease cup holder on the bottom. Honest review is absolutely 5 stars.

The Gambler is a sure bet! I really like this grill. Assembly is a breeze and doesn't take long at all. It cooks great and holds temperatures really well for such a small grill. Its super portable. It folds up in two seconds and rolls around easily. It's just like a rolling cooler, but it cooks great food!

Perfect grill for tiny spaces. The grill is perfect for someone like me that lives in a townhouse (or other smaller space). This grill has a lot of surface area to grill on but doesn't take up too much space. It's also super portable! I was able to toss it in the back of my SUV and take it to a friends house for a BBQ.

Simply Perfect. Now, I'm fairly new to grilling so I'm not concerned on advanced grilling techniques that this product may not accommodate. When I got my Outlaw Maverick barrel charcoal grill, what I thought would defeat me in assembling didn't amount to too much hassle. The product is made well with its parts sturdy, is so reasonably priced and I had no issues in getting the coals hot and working. Now, getting to the good stuff...my first take on the grill was baby back ribs. I let them cook for less than 3 hours and really, the meat was falling off the bone. The design of a barrel grill allows heat to circulate evenly and gets to every part of the meat. I also recently slow cooked chicken biryani curry on the grill using drumsticks and again, the bones were stripped of meat and just became one with the sauce. And how the entire dish came together was spectacular. Buy it. Enjoy it. You will love it.

Great grill for the price. It's a nice grill for the price but the ash pan is a piece of garbage, I will have to purchase a better one from another source, if they would have supplied a better ash pan when they manufactured it , I would not have the extra expense to purchase a better one, to me this is not acceptable !

From gas to charcoal. After many years of gas grilling I decided to try charcoal once again. I didn't want to invest a great deal of cash so I went with an inexpensive model "Maverick" So far so good. I took time to "season" the cast iron grates and just did a foil veggie packet and 4 hot dogs. I was right that charcoal has a flavoring effect unlike gas (unless you use a chip smoker). I may graduate to a larger combo grill/smoker next year.

Great Grill for a newbie or someone with a townhome. Grill has cast iron grates which makes cleanup easy. Make sure you season properly. Also Instructions were easy to follow on building the grill. Grill comes with Duel Dampers which makes temp control easy. Happy Grilling

Great Compact Grill. This is a great compact grill. This grill really delivers without taking up too much space and still lets me setup for two zone cooking. One of my favorite features of this grill is the Cast Iron Grates. These are heavy duty and quality that will last and leave great grill marks. If you love to cook with charcoal this is a great choice.
