Shopping for a Rove Concepts coffee table usually comes down to three families: the sculptural Maria in glass fiber concrete, the low, square Liza in five different top materials, and the Valerian, a 72 inch Black Label piece with a stone top. They look nothing alike, they sit at very different heights, and their prices run from about $1,259 to over $3,000. Below we compare them on size, height, weight, materials, indoor or outdoor use and price, using the specs on our listings and on Rove’s own product pages (checked 4 October 2026). We are an authorized Rove Concepts dealer.

Table weights come from Rove’s product pages. “Indoor” means no outdoor rating is listed. Prices are the starting price on our listings; size and finish change the final price.
Maria coffee table: the sculptural, indoor and outdoor pick
The Maria is a wide pedestal of glass fiber reinforced concrete with soft, curved sides. The listing calls it fully finished and sealed, waterproof and UV tested, and suitable for indoor or outdoor use. It comes in Alabaster, Black, Black Wax and Olympia Wax concrete, ships in a wooden crate (tools recommended for unboxing) and carries the highest load rating in this group at 400 lb.
At 48 by 32 inches it is the most compact footprint here, and at 14.1 inches it sits at a conventional coffee table height. It suits a smaller sofa, a patio seating group, or anyone who wants one solid form instead of legs. On Rove’s site it shows a 4.9 rating from 170 reviews. Concrete is porous even when sealed, so wipe spills quickly; our Gallus dining table review covers how Rove says to care for glass fiber concrete.
Liza coffee table: one shape, five materials
The Liza is a flat slab on slim matte black metal legs. What changes is the top, and that changes the weight, the use and the price more than the look.
Liza Walnut
American walnut veneer over California Phase 2 compliant MDF, in 40 inch square or 60 by 40 inch sizes. It is the lightest and least expensive Liza at 127 lb and from $1,259. Light assembly is required.
Liza Marble
Polished Carrara or black marble finished with natural wax, shipped in a wooden crate. At 282.2 lb it is the heaviest table in this comparison, so plan for two or more people and a clear delivery path. Marble etches and stains with acids such as wine and citrus, so coasters and quick cleanup matter.
Liza Stainless Steel
The only Liza that arrives fully assembled, with four felt pads included. It is rated for indoor and outdoor use and 265 lb.
Liza Grande and the ceramic Liza
“Grande” refers to height. The standard Liza tops sit about 9 to 9.4 inches off the floor, while the Grande stands 14.4 inches tall in the same 40 inch square or 60 by 40 inch footprints. Both the Grande and the standard ceramic Liza use ceramic or terrazzo tops rated for indoor and outdoor use with a 350 lb limit.
A pricing note in fairness to you: our listings for the Liza Grande (from $2,896) and the ceramic Liza (from $2,685) are currently above Rove’s own regular prices for those tables ($2,603 and $2,099). Call us at 866-777-2590 before ordering either one so we can confirm the price.
Valerian coffee table: the long Black Label statement
The Valerian is part of Rove’s Black Label collection: a 72 by 40 inch stone top on a base in black oak veneer, white lacquer or alabaster matte lacquer with grain. Tops are white travertine, white Carrara marble or black marble, sealed with a natural sealant, and Rove notes that natural markings vary. It sits at 11 inches, between the low Liza and the taller Maria.
At 72 inches long it is built for a large sectional or a long sofa. Living Spaces’ sizing guide (see below) suggests a table about two-thirds the length of the sofa, which puts a 72 inch table with a sofa around 108 inches long. Rove’s page says the Valerian is only available in certain markets, so confirm availability for your ZIP code before you plan a room around it.
Height: the biggest real difference between these tables
Living Spaces’ coffee table dimensions guide suggests a table within one to two inches of your sofa’s seat height and about 14 to 18 inches of space between the table and the sofa. By that rule, the Maria (14.1 in) and Liza Grande (14.4 in) sit closest to a typical seat, the Valerian (11 in) is low, and the standard Liza (about 9 in) is deliberately very low. Low tables look clean and open up a room, but you reach farther for a drink. If you are unsure, compare these heights with your sofa’s seat height on its spec sheet; our sofa depth guide explains how seat height and depth work together.

Price, membership and shipping
Our Maria ($1,511), Liza Walnut ($1,259), Liza Marble ($2,468), Liza Stainless Steel ($2,617) and Valerian ($3,023) prices currently match Rove’s own sale or regular price. Rove members pay less on Rove’s site: Rove shows member prices of about $906 for the Maria and $1,814 for the Valerian, and our Rove membership math walks through when the fee pays off. We do not claim to be cheaper than a Rove member price.
Shipping differs. Rove’s store policy lists flat-rate standard shipping of $159 on orders up to $5,000 retail and an estimated 1 to 3 week transit, and its refund policy requires returns to reach Rove’s warehouse within 30 days, with shipping charges not refunded and custom or Final Sale items not returnable.
